No program help via F1 or Help Buttons

Windows XP/SP3, 1 GB Ram. DW CS4 V10.0/4117 (de_DE).
Installing as Admin, no Firewall (using router instead), no
AV active, broadband internet access.
From selection list at start of installation Dw CS4 only was
selected. Installation went smoothly, registration is confirmed.
Issue: No help by F1 or any other Help button!
Error (translated from german): The help system can not be
started because help folder is missing. Install help folder or
check with your manual.
How to proceed from here?
Well I can create a folder, but how do I install one - where
from ... where to?
There is no manual in the box and there are no helpfiles of
any kind on DVD. So how?

In the meantime I found a big (26 MB) help folder at
"C:\Programme\Gemeinsame
Dateien\Adobe\Help\de_DE\Dreamweaver\10.0\"
that looks promising. Where does Dw look for that folder. How
can I correct for that if
the above one is the correct one?

That's an installation problem. I don't think creating a Help
folder
manually will solve it. Your best bet is to contact Adobe
Technical
Support.

i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!

how on earth can you help people when all you do is direct them to another page to click on something that doesn't help. this new version is awful . i cannot even put a url address in my address bar, nor can i refresh the address bar as it won't highlight at all. i keep going to all sorts of help pages and they are no help at all. i have used firefox for years and never had so much trouble with anything. the worse thing is your support and not being able to talk to any about anything. as it is i have to go all over just to find maybe an answer to this.i am using a background theme that i used before the new updated version and had no problems with it. if your themes are not compatible then why have them ??? the address bar problem is not present if i get rid of the theme and use the plain boring theme that you have . all i want to know is why this issue is happening with the theme i am using. and if possible it would be nice to get an answer in my email so i don't have to click on a dozen help pages trying to find it . thank you ..

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

How do I get rid of the error?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

That's called extended desktop mode. You can think of it as an extension of your main screen probably off to the right. Drag an app off the screen to the right and it will appear on the second monitor. You can see and adjust placement of the second monitor in System Preferences > Displays > arrangement tab. Drag the second screen around for your optimum placement. Also the little bar can be moved to either screen and that determines which screen will contain the dock/menubar.
Also you can toggle between Mirror and extend desktop mode by pressing CMD F1.

Hi Robbie,
The editor program is NOT under the organizer path as you mentioned in your last message. The actual editor program is at the location I gave in message #1 i.e. as follows
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
The one under the organizer is actually the Welcome screen which you have probably set up to go directly to the editor.
If you go to the Open With screen I showed in message #3 and browse to the actual editor as given above, it should show up in your list.
If it doesn't, then Windows is playing up again - and we have to take extra steps.
