No PSWCLIEnvironment file created during installation

I've installed SUNWisw and the PSWCLIEnvironment file was not created during the process.
Could anyone tell me what data the file contains as I have to create it on my own?
Tried reinstalling with the same effect.
I'm installing the following version: isw.6.0.sp1.solaris.sparc

Did you previously had Firefox installed?
The Firefox 4 RC version is a regular release and will replace the current Firefox entry in the Start menu even if you do a custom install (haven't tested this, so I might be wrong). You can easily create a new entry in the Start menu yourself if it is missing by dragging the desktop icon to the start menu or by using Windows Explorer to create a folder structure in "C:\Users\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Mozilla Firefox" if that folder is missing.

    Hi,
Normally the path is in Oracle_home only for example,
/u01/app/oracle/product/10.1.0/db_1/root.shYou will be prompted for that while installation goes on.
    @Nicolas,
Apologies for the same reply as I didnt refresh the page before posting.

  • Synonym AREA created during installation?

I have a client software application that uses the synonym "AREA" for one of its tables. We already have AREA as a synonym of a system table. Was that created by Oracle during the database installation? We have Oracle Enterprise 10.2.0.3.0. A year ago we didn't have this problem and the software vendor says they have always used AREA as a synonym.

  • How do I restore backup swm files created during system recovery from external hard drive

    Good day,
I was facing some problems with my laptop (HP Envy 17 3D Notebook with windows 7 home premium, 64 bit) and I had to return it back to its original state using system recovery.
During the process I was asked if I want to back up my data. I have chosen to backup my data in the flash drive. Once the process has completed and my laptop is to the original state, I tried to recover my backup but it tells me:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
If i click run as administrator it tell me:
Windows cannot find 'F:\Backup_2015-04-29 143842\Restore.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
there are files labeled like backup.swm, backup1.swm, backup2.swm. I can't open these files or do anything with them. In a text document it lists all the files it apparently copied. It is only a list of text, nothing else.
any help will be greatly appriciated.

  • Binary file created during db2bak

    Hello,
I have a Sun ONE Directory Server 5.1. Every night, I excute db2bak command to save my data. This command creates binary file (log.0000001290 for example). Does anyone know what is this file ?
    Thanks.
    Delphine

These are just transaction log files. Changes are made to these logs and then processed periodically by the directory server. You should see them increment as they get created and then processed.

  • Dump file created during opening the CFL

    Hi,
I am facing a problem in SAP8.8. When i am opening a CFL of Business Partner then .dmp file is created.   The file location is
       C:\Documents and Settings\BODHISATYA\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One
Can anybody help me why this problem occur?

    Hello
Sometimes, when a user settings (customized settings of a form) is contains a field, which is deleted from SAP B1, the application dumps. This happens only in one company database.
Could you try it from the sap b1 application
    - another user in the same company db (i think it must dump also)
    - a different company database
    Come back with the results.
it s a test or a productive database?

  • No Start Menu created during installation

On Vista Ultimate SP1 I installed FireFox 4.0 and choose for custom installation. Under 'Create Icons for FireFox' I only disabled 'On my Desktop'. The other two options where marked.
The icon in the Quick Launch bar is created but there is no Start Menu folder?

Did you previously had Firefox installed?
The Firefox 4 RC version is a regular release and will replace the current Firefox entry in the Start menu even if you do a custom install (haven't tested this, so I might be wrong). You can easily create a new entry in the Start menu yourself if it is missing by dragging the desktop icon to the start menu or by using Windows Explorer to create a folder structure in "C:\Users\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Mozilla Firefox" if that folder is missing.

  • How do I restore backup1.swm files created during system recovery from external hard drive.

On my hp dm1 with windows 7 In full detail, this is what I did. I clicked to do a system recovery, it asked if I wanted to backup the files, I said yes. It said it backed up my files on the external hard drive. I continued the system recovery. It set my computer back to factory settings. I tried to recover my backup, it acted like it was restoring the files and showed them going into the c: area in a folder. I open the folder and it says the folder is empty. I hit properties and the folder contains 10mb+ of data. I go back into my LaCie drive, there are files labeled like backup.swm, backup1.swm, backup2.swm. I can't open these files or do anything with them. In a text document it lists all the files it apparently copied. It is only a list of text, nothing else. Have a 12 page research paper in these back ups that is due in a few hours so any help will be greatly appriciated.

    @Daniella1985,
If the standard procdure of locating the program launcher (a .exe file) on the first backup media (disk 1 or the external storage device) is not working, then you can manually extract the files using 7-zip.
    7-zip can be found here.
Once 7-zip is installed, open it and navigate to the first .swm file of the backup.  Right-click the .swm file and select 7-zip>open archive.  Once that opens, it should reveal the contents of the .swm files.  If the file contains something you want to keep, you can either extract each invidual file or extract the entire directory.  If you want to extract each individual file, highlight the desired file and click the extract button at the top.  If you want to extract the entire directory, make sure no items are highlighted and click the extract  button at the top.
This is a manual process and it can be a large task depending on how many files were backed up, but it is one method to get the backedup files when the standard procedure is not working.

Better you continue with that and plan and document the file system and size strategy.
'SAP Sizing' is very important, utilize it - service.sap.com/sizing
After you understand the guides' advice and explore standard sizing, then share your queries with us.
This concept is very detailed one and really the 'subjective' one - depends case to case - customer to customer - ultimately the SIZING will help you - It can't be explained clearly in a discussion thread 'initially'
    Thanks

    Hi,
When i execute datapump export for a single table it will make 5.6G export file size. While there is only 39K rows in the table. When i import this export file to another scehma it takes only megabytes. More than 98% size reduction. This is mytable sctructure.

  • Where do we use the three users created during BPC installation

    Hi Experts,
I just want to know where we use the three users we create during installation. Because without  AppSet the users cannot log in.
Though we map three different domain users in "UJA3_WRITE_SYS_USERS", except the user BPC_SYSADMIN, I think we cannot use the other users without assigning the Appset. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Bobby

ok I think there is some confusion here and that we are not all talking of the same thing...
there are ABAP users, and there are Windows users (or in the case of 7.5, possibly CMS users).
the ABAP users are used exclusively by the .Net server to connect to the ABAP server. They are never used to login from a client machine.
The Windows (or AD or CMS) users are used to login to the clients.
The .Net server will authenticate those logins from the clients, will then look in the tables in ABAP to check the rights of that user, and then take action based on those steps. If the user is authenticated and has the required rights to the appset, then the .Net server will perform the actions that the windows user is requesting. To perform those actions, it will connect to the ABAP server under one of the 3 ABAP accounts as described earlier
so if the user is in Admin and for example wants to process a dimension, the .Net server will use ABAP account BPC_admin to connect to ABAP and take action.
if the user is in BPC for Excel and wants to input data in a schedule, the .Net server will connect using BPC_user to ABAP server and take action.
in other words, those 3 accounts are completely transparent to the client side, are never used on the client side, and can be consider as internal to the server, as they are used only between servers.
once BPC is installed, only the windows account that was used to install the .Net componenet will have access. That account can be used to install the admin client and to login to the admin client. From there, other windows accounts can be given rights to BPC.
I hope this helps and clarify
    best regards

Is there really a bug in the ejb-j2ee-engine.xml - File ?
Did anyone have similiar problems ?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,
we also have encountered this problem.
This the problem with the XML File. XML File is not properly formed.
You have to search for the mdt.sda file becuase during installation it hangs up during the deployment of mdt.sda file and then you can look for xml file in at mdt.sda file.
This problem comes because of the SPACE are there in the XML file.
    This would resolve your problem.

  • Open to File bookmark gets broken during installation

When I try to create a bookmark with the action "Open to File", everything works perfectly until I install the PDF to another computer. I use InstallShield 2009 to create the same file structure on the new computer but when the user clicks on the link it tries to open the file in a different location.
For example, I create a bookmark to open the file C:\program files\Ford Manuals\video\13001.avi. During installation, Installshield creates this directory on the users computer and also copies both the file and the PDF with bookmark to the users computer. However, when the user tries to click on the bookmark, the directory path seems to get changed. Instead of C:\program files\Ford Manuals\video\13001.avi it gets changed to C:\my documents\program files\Ford Manuals\video\13001.avi (it is diffent on my Vista but I believe this is what it looks like in XP). Of course, the link is broken and then a pop-up says "cannot open file ../../../../../program files/Ford Manuals/video/13001.avi.
Is there a way to "fix" the path so that it does not get changed depending on where the PDF gets installed?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would work best if you could set the path to be relative to the PDF location, not to an absolute location. Then it would work anywhere, as long as the relative file structure was maintained. I have a tendancy to never install things where the default goes, and your process would drive me up a wall.
