Hola Gente, ayudenme, no puedo activar imessage y facetime, soy usuario nuevo. Me pone esperand acvtivacion y se queda ahi y jamas pasa nada o sino pone error en la activacion. Repito el proceso y lo mismo.

Tengo un iPhone 4s en la compañia Virgin mobile en chile y no puedo activar imessage, me sale "esperando activación" y veo en el saldo que me van restando los mensajes internacionales y me los cobran y no se activa!, que puedo hacer?
Primero intenta realizarlo por Wi-Fi, despues de eso dirijasé a Ajustes>Telefono>"Mi numero" (<Indique su Número de telefono>), siguiendo con el procedimiento anterior, regresé a Ajustes y ahora dirijasé a "Mensajes" (Para esto usted ya deveria de haver introducido su cuenta de Apple en iCloud de no ser asi activela), una véz en mensajes active la opcion de "iMessage" (Le pedira la contraseña de la cuenta de iCloud) "Se quedara Verificando las información <Que el correo y contraseña de la cuenta sea correctos el Número es solo un identificador que estipula la interaccion con otros dispositivos estilo iPhone> Si no pasa de Verificando dirijase a Restricciones y "Desactivelas" (Prueve su coneccion a internet...,) una vez echo esto realize de nuevo los pasos. hello I'm experiencing some problems with my iMessage and face time. I did with Apple provided me online. I did the steps. Nothing will work, it keeps saying activation turn on Wi-Fi when my Wi-Fi is turned on. As soon as I got this on Christmas. iMessage and FaceTime have not been working. My Apple and ID password are correct. Everything else is working fine. My iOS updates are up to date, everything is fine except FaceTime and iMessage

Okay. We have three Ipads in our house with only one Itunes account. When I go into imessaging and facetime on each of the devices, it wants to start switching my wife's cell phone and then the three emails associated with each Ipad to the contact information for all of the Ipads. As of this morning, only the imessaging and facetime are turned on my wife's iphone and ipad. My kids imessaging and facetime is turned off. Do you really have to have an itunes account for each device to make then work??? Any help would be very much appreciated.
RyanThere is only one solution. Each user must have their own separate user account. All of their respective data would be contained in their separate user accounts. This also means each will have a separate iTunes Library. If you all use the same third-party apps, then each will have to purchase their own copies under their own Apple IDs. Some data sharing is possible. See:

Why my iphone's iMessage and Facetime can't be activated?
hi, I just bought an iphone4 from the Mississauga apple store two days ago, the iMessage and Facetime can't be activated, so these things are what I tried: (my SIM card matches with my iphone, have a valid carrier, and I paid my bill and have a valid phone number)
1. I connected my iphone to the wifi, and make sure it works,
2. created an account on apple store, and make sure it has been logged on,
3. logged that e-mail account that I used to creat apple account on to my iphone ---> Mail,
4. go to Settings ---> iMessage, and turned it on, and did whatever it told me to do, then it just saying:"Waiting for activation..." for 2 or 3 hours, and told me that activation failed, and the same thing goes with the Facetime.
I tried with each of them 3 times, none of them are working, so I give up, and asked my friend use to working at the ginues bar in an apple store to help me, so:
He download iTunes onto my PC, connected my iphone to my PC, and logged my apple account onto iTunes, then did the PC and iphone thing which I don't really understand, and redo what I did above, and my iMessage and Facetime still can't work, and use he's iphone to call mine with facetime, use mine to call his with facetime, none of the calls worked.
At the end, we even dialed #*5005*7672# to check the SMS service centre number.
***BTW, I CANNOT even send text messages to my friends, I can only call them.
Is there anything else I can try to make the iMessage and facetime working? Or should I just go to the store and ask for an exchange or refund?
T_T, I just can't believe I can't even send out text messages with the iphone which even the unsmart phones can do.

When setting up my new iPad and entering my own Apple ID my sisters number appeared on the imessage and facetiming; however her number is not associated with my Apple ID. How do I change the number to my own?
Turn iMessage and FaceTime off, reset the device by holding both buttons until the apple logo appear then let go and wait for it to restart. Then turn iMessage and FaceTime back on and enter the settings again

My iphone 5 wont let me sign into imessage and facetime!
I recently bought a iphone 5 from my aunt. I went to AT&T to go activate and switch over phones. (I had a iphone 3gs). I later went home and tried to log into my imessage and facetime, but it wouldnt let me. I keep trying and it says "iMessage Actavation - Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try agian". I have wifi so my internet can not be the problem & and my internet on my phone works great. I can sign into my itunes and icloud witout any problems. I tried turning my phone off and on, restore the iphone and reset the settings. Ive also tried calling my company but said they couldnt help. And I called Apple and told me to the same time ive already tried doing. I dont know what to do anymore. And im hoping someone can help me out! Thank you!
One thing to remeber , this issue occurs because of poor wifi or internet connection. If this isn't fault in your case, try these because it happens in all products of apple like mac,ipad mini,ipod touch..
Check you apple id and sign in again.
Change you DNS to open DNS or Reset you network settings.
Reboot you iphone once. -
My iPhone's number won't add itself to iMessage or FaceTime!
My new phone number is greyed out and not available to be selected for iMessage or FaceTime. I've changed my iMessage/FaceTime phone number in the past without any issue, but now this new one won't add! I've tried logging out of ALL devices and logging back in, but it didn't help. No matter what I do, I can't select my telephone number to be active for iMessage/FaceTime!
Here's some background:
First phone number on an iPhone 3GS with AT&T: Phone number worked fine on iMessage!
Took my iPhone 3GS (unlocked) to Straight Talk Wireless (a Tracfone prepaid service branded for Wal-Mart) with a NEW number: Phone number worked fine on iMessage!
Upgraded to iPhone 5 (locked to T-Mobile) on Straight Talk Wireless (with T-Mobile-compatible SIM) with the SAME Straight Talk Wireless phone number: Phone number worked fine on iMessage! This newer iPhone also introduced FaceTime and my number worked fine on that too!
Took the same iPhone 5 to Brightspot Wireless (a T-Mobile prepaid service branded for Target Stores) and got a NEW phone number: This new number will NOT add to iMessage or FaceTime no matter what I do! It stays grayed out and cannot be selected!
I have other Apple devices that also use iMessage and/or FaceTime:
iMac on OS X Yosemite Beta with both iMessage & FaceTime
iPhone 4S on iOS 8.0.2 used only as a glorified iPod Touch (kept on Airplane Mode with WiFi only -- it has an inactive dummy SIM so it would activate in iTunes and operate normally) with both iMessage & FaceTime
iPhone 3GS on iOS 6.1.3 (the same as used before with Straight Talk Wireless) now only used as a glorified iPod Touch (kept on Airplane Mode with WiFi only -- this one still has its most recent Straight Talk Wireless SIM in it so it would activate after its restore in iTunes and operate normally) with iMessage only (no FaceTime)
In case it matters, the iPhone 5 in question (with the phone number that won't add) is on iOS 7.1.2.
People have my new number but it's not going to all my devices when another iDevice sends me an iMessage and it's really frustrating for this to not work properly! My only thought is that my iPhone 5's custom APN settings keep erasing themselves after a restart or a loss in signal, causing me to have no MMS or data (except WiFi) until I type the settings back in. I can see why this might make me temporarily disconnected from Apple's servers, but I don't see why it won't add the phone number in the first place! Please help!I have the same issue... tried logging out of iMessages and FaceTime on all devices, reset network settings, start again from the iPhone which number i want to connect etc., but to no avail. It keeps being greyed out and I'm unable to select it no matter what...
O, and whats more frustrating, people are sending me iMessages to the number in question (like when they use the phone number and not the email address), the iMessage goes through from their side, but I never get it on any of my devices! Many people have asked me why I'm not responding to their messages and I have no idea they even sent me! -
Issues with imessage and facetime
Although I am both connected to my wifi at home and I have serive, my new iphone 4s replacement I got today won't let me connect my imessage or facetime with my AppleID even though both the e-mail and the passwords are correct. Any ideas?
Also, when I downloaded all my backup for my apps and everything, my snapchat app won't work now.. I keep getting a pop up that says: "Connect to iTunes to use push notifications. "Snapchat" notificatons may include alerts, sounds, and icon badges" -- and it won't let me hit OK to close the app or the home button to exit to homescrean so I hav to hit the home button twice and then select another app before I can get back to home.
I have already tried turning the phone on and off, restarting, turing my wifi on and off and so now I'm stuck on what to do to help these issues.Yes, that's how I've been trying to log in. I go to Settings>messages> (imessage is on) > use AppleID for imessage> try and enter the username and password
Then, the pop up I get says: Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.
I have both wifi and service at this point.
The same thing happens with facetime, too. -
I was using my iphone just like any normal day and out of blue it went off because I let the battery die
it was 1% and I didn't put on charger, I forgot
so I put it on charger just like any normal day and it charged for sometime then it started to turn on
suddenly I got a weird screen on it a pic "iOS 6" and slide button saying "slide to set up" with all languages

it got me to another screen saying "Updating iCloud settings...."
then it kept loading and loading so I restarted my mobile then I did all the above steps again
the next time it loaded fast and got me a new screen saying :

and when I click on start using iphone, the iphone restarts itself and repeats the steps again !!!!!
I've tried everything, restarting my iphone, doing the steps, respring, clicking on home and off button, EVERYTHING !!!!
but it keeps redoing that stupid steps without any end
please HELP ME!! I need my iphone back!!!weird, i would try to restore through iTunes and set up as new as a test.
