No puedo instalar Mountain Lion 10.8.0 en un iMac del 2012, por que? alguien podría ayudarme porfavor.
Cuando intento hacer una instalacion limpia, me aparece el signo de prohibido, esa instalacion no puedo hacerla y no entiendo porque es Mountain Lion.
El iMac de finales del 2012 viene con OS X 10.8.2, por lo que no puede instalar ninguna otra versión antigua porque no es compatible con el hardware de su ordenador. Esta es la razón por la cual no puede instalar OS X 10.8.
En su lugar, use OS X Recovery > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 Pulse las teclas Command y R durante el arranque después de escuchar el sonido de inicio, y manténgalas pulsadas hasta que vea una luz verde en el teclado.
Tras iniciar en OS X Recovery, abra Utilidad de Discos. Después, presione Macintosh HD en la barra lateral, vaya a la pestaña Borrar y borre el disco duro.

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. I had to reinstall Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on my iMac. Now when I try to open iPhoto i get a pop up saying my photo library was created by a newer version. Did I miss an update or what
We have no way of knowing. Maybe you did or maybe you didn't. If you don't tell us what version you have, how could we know?

Mountain Lion will not download to my iMac, "The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."
I have this problem also. I was able to download Mountain Lion to my daughter's Mac Mini without any trouble. However, I can't download this to my MacBook Pro. I have read other sites that suggest VirusBarrier is the problem and recommend turning it off in VirusBarrier>Preferences>Advanced. I have tried this and it still doesn't work, although some report that it has worked for them.

I have the same problem... but when i connect my MacBook Pro late 2009 on my cousin internet the facebook page works normaly. but when i reconnect in my wifi it stops to work again... and it only hapens with macbook pro, On my iPad, iPhone and PC the facebook page works properly. And another thing, when my counsins bring their Macbooks to my network, it stops to enter on facebook too... I already reset my router config everything and facebook dont work with anything with mountain lion... My router is a linksys wag200n and the problem started when i install mountain lion. Normaly you can install the OSX on two or three computers.
Can I also install it for free on my iMac now.On your iMac, sign in to the app store using the SAME apple ID.
You'll see Mountain Lion on your list of previous purchases. (To view them there is an icon at the top that says purchases).
Once you click on that, the list of all the apps you have downloaded will appear. If you installed already on your iMac, the install button is greyed out.
To proceed, click INSTALL and the download will begin. -
