No push notifications after switching iPhone

Hello everyone
I switched my iPhone 4 32GB
I had an iPhone 4 32GB with everything working fine. I gave that to my s.o. else due to Simlock problems (so we switched iPhones)
I had my old iPhone running while restoring the "new" iPhone from a backup of the old iPhone.
Afterwards I reset the old iPhone and gave it to my friend.
Now I find, that I dont receive push notifications anymore...
Any ideas whats the problem?
I tried to activate/deactivate the notifications for all applications but it didn't help
Best regards

  • How to setup gmail push notification for my iphone 5?

I'm using gmail. Prompt respond for mails is very urgent for me.
How to setup gmail push notification for my iphone 5?

I switched from a BB to an iPhone a few days ago and I knew I was going to miss the QWERTY keyboard but then I also discovered that my GMail doesn't 'push' to my iPhone. I was used to 'push' for all mail accounts on the BB. I also missed being able to personalize text, email, and phone tones for individuals.
I tried the Gmail app for iOS and it does deliver Gmail to the iPhone app quickly but the text is tiny and when it is a web page it's almost impossible to read.
So, I have worked out a kludge to get around these problems.
I added my exisiting Gmail account to the iPhone.
Hotmail does push to iOS 7 so I created a Outlook account (could be hotmail or Live) using the web browser.
I added the hotmail account to the iPhone. I basically use this to give fast notification of important emails on my iPhone.
On my macbook email client I created a rule that 'redirects' incoming mail to the hotmail account. The 'Redirect' is important since the email will show up in the hotmail account on the iPhone as coming from the original sender and you can then respond to the original sender from the iPhone, though the sender will see it as coming from the hotmail account.
The other downside is that you will get a second copy of the email in the gmail inbox on the iPhone, probably 15 minutes later.
If you don't want all of the mail being redirected you can create a 'redirect' group in the Address book and then adjust the rule in Apple mail to only redirect the mail to the hotmail account if the sender is in the redirect group. You can add and delete contacts from this group depending upon which ones you consider to be important. You will still get two copies of the email on the iPhone, one in the hotmail inbox and one in the gmail inbox.
You can prevent this from happening temporarily by turning off, but not deleting, the gmail account on the iPhone. You could then edit the emails on the Apple email client before turning the gmail back on in the iPhone.
And finally if you use the VIP feature in email on the iPhone you can create a list of VIP contacts and then assign a different notification sound for the VIP's. So in effect important contacts mail will be redirect to the iPhone for quick notification and very, very important contacts will have a different notification sound.
I'm basically using the Hotmail account as a notification  tool and basically delete all the emails in it since the original copy will be in the gmail account.
And best of all it's all free, except for the bandwidth.

  • HT3576 I don't have Push notifications after I install IOS7.

Idont have Push Notifications after install IOS7 in IPhone 5

This may be a bug or they were simply disabled. Go to Settings> Notifications and then add apps to the Notification Center. If that diesnt work you may be in Do not disturb mode. To get out of do not istirb mode slide up from the bottom of ther screen to suppon control center and tap on the moon so it is not lighting up.

  • TS1470 Since very recently whenever I connect to Whatsapp and a few other Apps I get the following message  " CONNECT TO I TUNES TO USE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS"   After connecting to I Tunes I am unable to find any solution there

Since recently whenever whenever I check any application especially WhatsApp, before it opens I get the following notification:
: CONNECT TO I TUNES TO USE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS: After connecting to I Tunes I find no solution there?

Dropbox is virtually disabled on my phone now because of these messages, and most other apps are now difficult to use. I have rebooted the phone several times, reset network settings and restored factory settings (and had to make all my adjustments again) but nothing worked. My phone is now almost totally useless.

  • Can i use APNS certificates created by the "Apple push certificates portal" to send regular push notifications to my iphone app (not MDM related)?

Can i use APNS certificates created by the "Apple push certificates portal" to send regular push notifications to my iphone app (not MDM related)?
The push notifications are sent from servers of my customers and i don't want to give them my own push cert (with the private key)

As KiltedTim mentioned you should be "good to go" in a couple weeks when IOS 8.0 is released to the public for your iPad.  Here's more info.  Scroll down to the "Send any kind of text message from any of your devices"  section:

  • No push-notifications after officially unlocking iphone 3gs

    Hey there!
A few days ago I officially unlocked my T-Mobile Germany iPhone 3GS.
After this, push notifications aren't working. It keeps me telling "Connect to Itunes to use push-notifications".
And it doesn't matter whether I try WhatsApp or Facebook.
I tried a restore and a reset of the network settings.
    Anyone experiencing the same issues?
    Thanks in advance,
    Julian

I recently updated my iPhone 3GS with IOS 5.  Since then I've found my phone is very slow, but also that What's App Messenger or Facebook does not give me push notifications.  Everytime I open the app, it tells me to connect with iTunes to use push notifications.  I've done this a few times, but it makes no difference.  I don't know if I'm suppose to change any settings on iTunes, but cant find anything to change.  All my Whatsapp notification settings are on.  I also dont want to uninstall WhatsApp because I'm scared I will lose all my messages.
    Please help

I tired iPusher from AppStore and I am not getting an Push Notification.
Thanks in advance please suggest me the fix.

Yes. It says following. I have taken care of all points except last one. "You are located in a country where Apple does not offer this feature. This feature may not be available in all countries due to technical limitations or local law." Apple india site clearly features Find My iPhone on iCloud, so I assume it is supported in India.
"No location available," "Offline," or "Location Services Off" alerts
    This can occur if:
The date on your device is incorrect. This can be set in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Your iOS device is currently off or not connected to a data network (Edge, 3 or 4G, or Wi-Fi). Wait a few minutes and try again.
Your iPad (Wi-Fi only), iPod Touch, or Mac is currently off or not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Location Services is not enabled on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch in Settings or on your Mac in Date & Time preferences. Learn more about Location Services on your Mac with OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion.

  • How can I change the sound of push notifications on an iPhone 4 running with iOS5?

How can I change the sound of push notifications?
In settings > sounds there are various options but not the a possibility to change the general sound (!!!) of push notifications.

  • Android devices not getting push notifications after a while

We have just installed a new Exchange 2013 setup and started to move mailboxes across. Users that have Android devices though are noticing that push notifications are not reaching them and checking in the ECP I can see their last sync times are a long time
    ago!
If they restart their devices then the sync occurs and push notifications work for about half a day then stop again.
We have no issues with any iOS devices getting push notifications. We have a range of Android JellyBean and KitKat deployed so not looking device related. If I turn off push notification on the Android device and force a manual sync every 5 minutes that
works and currently seems to be my workaround. But this will drain the battery quicker now.
The flow of notification would be simple, Exchange2013 > Firewall > Internet > Device
Anyone else experiencing issues like this and know what to check? We have checked all networking aspects and its not a network/firewall issue.

After hours of searching online and testing and troubleshooting I found the issue actually was affecting push notifications to all mobile devices on Exchange 2013 where their mailboxes had been migrated recently from Exchange 2010.
There is a bug in Exchange 2013 CU5 which I am on which causes issues after mailbox migrations and requires the ActiveSync app pool in IIS to require a restart after mailbox moves to function correctly.
After I completed an iisreset within a command prompt on the CAS server everything started working for push notifications.
Lets hope this gets fixed in CU6!

  • Still no push notifications after 5.1

I noticed that the push notifications weren't working after I downloaded the app 'Draw Something'. Not blaming the app at all, btw.  My wife gets notified when it's her turn and I don't. My wife also has a 4S and we have notifications set the same. So I upgraded to 5.1 last night and still no push notifications. I set espn and tvguide to give me a lot of notifications and have not got anything. I downloaded ipusher app and it's not working either. I'll assume the app is working and my phone isn't. Any ideas?

Restore your phone as new in iTunes and manually load your music, apps, etc.
If that does not work you might want to get it serviced.

  • "please connect to itunes to use push notifications" after a reset

Either your OS is corrupted or it is not JailBroken properly.
Restore your iPhone ... Its the ONLY way to solve the problem.
