No QT h.264 Rendering at all from my PC CS6
I cannot get ANY Quicktime h.264 renders. Tried Cuda on Cuda Off. AME export of cued. New motherboard. Win 7 Ult. Clean install. Everything is updated. Nvidia CX card. Plenty of Ram. Driving me crazy.
MB:Supermicro X8DA3 2.01
2.80 gigahertz Intel Xeon (2 installed)64-bit ready
Multi-core (12 total)
Hyper-threaded (24 total)
The problem is my router at work. The cable modem feeds it, then the router sends everything to corporate who then networks our 10 pcs.
Tne solution is puttting a router/splitter on the feed from the modem, then doing a home run to my mac. BTW plugging the modem directly into my MBP had me flying and downloading/streaming QT without a hitch. Hope this helps someone!

When copying playlist from itunes to nano3rd message comes saying 9 of songs can't be copied to ipod cos of file type. These 9 are all from same album, all ACC and all copied fine when I copied the album itselm some weeks ago. Rest of playlist was ACC too. P.S. album is a CD-R copied version-is this an issue? I never laughed in all my life. Here I was, inserting the cd Dance with Me, thinking it's not going to copy the whole thing. yeah, right.
Sure, it prompted me, Do I want to replace the songs, so of course I said "no, don't replace the songs". and guess what it did. It copied the whole cd (at least I got my two songs).
I went into the itunes library, and sure enough, all the songs were there twice. So what did my intelligent brain think of? I just unchecked the doubled songs and stuck my ipod into my computer and it synched up and I got what I wanted.
Now what did I do wrong when it prompted me. I clicked on "don't replace" and it replaced them anyway.
Am I dumb? or is itunes stupid?

BI PUBLISHER : not able to select 'all' from the menu as parameter

I have created a report using a SQL query . i created a list of values using the following sql query :
select EDM_TRD_HDR.TRD_ID as TRD_ID
from MUREXEDM.EDM_TRD_HDR
and selected this in the menu settings in parameters .
i checked on 'can select all ' option and also on 'NULL Values passed' button.
On clicking view , i am able to see the data for the default valu of the parameter. however, when i select 'all ' from the menu , i am just getting the column headings and no data .
please reply if you are aware of this problem.
Also let me know wether we can create a view selector for a BI publisher report and are there any functionalities which can be implemented in answers and not in the publisher.You've selected 'null value passed' so you need to write the driving query in your data model in a way that will show all values when the parameter is null:
eg
select *
from
your_table
where
(:p_paramter is null or your_column = :p_parameter)
and ...
(assuming not multi select).
With view selector, you can create conditional regions so could mimic something like that. With regards to features they are completely different products - so almost everything.

I just bought a new Mac and I want to transfer some data (not all) from my old Mac. Basically, I want to move my itunes library, iphoto library, and a few documents. I have not even turned on my new Mac yet. Is the best way by an external hard drive?
If both have Firewire ports then you can accomplish your goal by using Target Disk Mode. If this is not possible then you can do using an external drive or if you have a local network connect both to your network and use filesharing between the two computers.

Adobe Media Encoder, rendering wrong videoparts from waitinglist
Hi guys,
I have a small, but pretty anoying problem.
So I'm a normal hobby like Youtuber,
rendering a few video series I created over night.
So I cut und edit them in Adobe Premiere and then I press ctrl + m select 720p and put them on the waitinglist in AME.
Because I can render them all over night like this, or I can render, while still editing other videos.
I usually but all my video parts in one sequence in Premiere, and then cut then like in 15-20minute parts, using the In and Out markers(and then select Sequence In/Out in Rendersettings)
But the problem I have using this method is,
lets say I have 10 videos on the waitinglist of AME, it renders like 3x Part 2, and then part 4,5,6 and maybe 2x part 8 and so on.
So instead of rendering them all like I marked them to, I get a few of the parts duplicated.
And its not a problem of me marking them wrong, because its in every rendering que I do.
And its alsways random which parts get duplicated, but i can be sure there will be a wrong part in every rendering que.
So the only thing I can do right now is either rendering them all one by one directly in Premiere.
Or selecting the false ones again and putting them back onto the waitinglist.
But its so anoying.
Especially the first time I havent´t checked them, so I uploaded them right away, and saw oops sth. went wrong.
Does anyone have any solution to this?

Thanks for your help.When I say render, I'm referring to rendering inside of Adobe Media Encoder - unless there is something I don't know when it comes to the setting you're referring to.
Also, yes, it has an animated logo - which I use on the other machine too, same exact animation.
As I was writing this response, I just disabled the logo animation - it renders in 4 minutes. However, I need this animation - I'm wondering what to do. It has a 4Kx2K png animated using the basic 3D effect and HLS effect - though, this doesn't delay rendering on my other computer!??
Hmm, thought of a fix though, I’ll render out my logo animation with a transparent channel, this way I just drag the scaled down animation on top of my videos, should improve the render time. -
I can upload photos and smaller size videos but when a video is 24 minutes long for instance, it doesn't upload at all from my iPhone to the PC. How do I upload these videos that are longer in length?
Are you using any software to import videos? Did you tried Picasa or you just open your iPhone from My Computer?

Report Refresh on selecting All from Page Item
Hi,
I have a report that has the academic years as one of the page items. If we select the first entry '2004 - 2005' and then select 'All' from the page item, the data doesn't refresh.
However if we go ahead and choose any other value, for example '2006-2007' or any other entry and then select 'All' the report does refresh normally.
I've tried to search if this is a known bug, but I was unable to find any information. If any of you can help in this regard, reference to a known bug or if there's a workaround, please do let me know.

How do I move contacts from the group "All from my Mac" to iCloud?
prior to my problem, I was using Microsoft Exchange for years to keep my contacts in my phone, so if i were to delete the exchange account, my contacts would go with it. I deleted my Microsoft Exchange account (copied all my contacts onto a spreadsheet beforehand) and was left with an empty phone except for a couple of contacts I had created on my iMac which transferred into my phone under "All from my my Mac". Now, I've attempted to manually input the contacts from the spreadsheet into my phone, which caused the contacts from my phone to sync into Contacts in my iMac. I want my contacts to sync into icloud, but i don't know how i can "move" them into iCloud. please help!
If you still have access to the exchange account, the easiest thing to do is add it to your phone (Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>Exchange, then turn Contacts on in the exchange account), then do the following on your phone to copy them to iCloud:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. (If you have more than 500 contacts to copy from your exchange account you will need the “Pro” version.) Use the app to back up the remaining contacts on your phone (from the exchange account) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section) and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars…tap your exchange account account and delete it from your phone again (or at least turn Contacts off).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from your account back to your iPhone, and to iCloud. -
Deleted "All" from Favorites Bar in Mail
I accidentally deleted "All" From the Favorites Bar in Mail. This allowed me to view all my mail in all my mailboxes at one time. How do I add that feature back in? It's not in the menu on the left.

I purchased Microsoft Office for Mac through the Apple website.. I have downloaded all from the disk into my Mac, no problem with all the other Word etc, but Outlook is asking for the key number: I have put it in but its obviously not the right one...???? In the box with the disk came the product key, have put it in and it doesnt work. Please help..x
unfortunately - you can not. you can't even buy outlook by itself at microsoft's own website.
does it have to be outlook? maybe you can get away with using something else that's outlook compatible.
how about trying Thunderbird for Mac OS?
or maybe you can call apple and let them know you purchase the wrong version - they might give you a break and just pay the difference for the home and business version.

Ok, what you need to do is to create a new data type within your workbook, then more than likely in conjunction with one or more analytic functions, Discoverer will create the sub-totals and totals that you want.
Here is an example that may show the principle:
You can use calculations to create new data types within your worksheet. These new types only exist within the worksheet. You can apply sorts, totals and even base other calculations on these data types.
Example Data Type:
Let’s say we want to generate a new data type called Category, and this category has three values
High
Middle
Low
We want to analyze our sales and work out our top ranking customers, such that customers with:
Sales > 9,000,000 are High
Sales > 4,000,000 but < 9,000,000 are Middle
Sales < 4,000,000 are Low
Basic Requirement - Syntax:
IF Sales > 9,000,000
THEN HIGH
ELSE IF Sales > 4,000,000
THEN MIDDLE
ELSE LOW
Using a CASE statement, this translates into:
CASE WHEN Sales > 9,000,000 THEN ‘High’

Java script issue on screen rendering for all-11-otn4.js
Hello,
I am getting java error on screen rendering for all-11-otn4.js line no 12277 and 16073. The java script error I get is, *"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in debugger, or let the script continue"*. After this page stops responding, i have to close the browser and reopen it.
I have a table inside my screen. The table is added inside a af:panelCollection and have few toolbar buttons added inside the secondayToolbar facet. This error is commng due to the table toolbar buttons.
When i check the java scirpt using debugger, it stops at following java script at the bold line,

What is "All From My PC" in contacts?
Over the past couple of weeks I have created several contact groups and popukated them from importing groups from Outlook Express.
Today in my iPhone Contacts a new entry in the group list has appeared called "*All from my PC". It wasn't there yesterday - can anyone explain why it is there now, what did I do to make that appear? How I might remove it, as I kinda just liked seeing my contact groups neatly listed.I also have this group in my contact list. It appeared right after syncing contacts with Google Contacts. This folder does not seem to be touched by the online synchronization at all. I would also like to be rid of it.
