"No qualifying products found to apply this update" for Adobe Acrobat 8.1.2 Security Update 1 patch
I am attempting to deploy the security update for Acrobat 8.1.2 [http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-15.html] via computer startup script in AD.
I am receiving this error message;
"No qualifying products found to apply this update"
My script to apply this update looks like this;

Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or have an idea for a resolution?
No problems, then again I've done a manual install.
First question would be can you install the update manually on the target machine.
Also check the version of reader/acrobat installed on the target machine.

Czech update for Adobe Acrobat 8 professional
Good day. I have a problem. I reinstalled AA8 package of CS3, but remained in version 8.0. I changed the date and other programs are updated. Update it for AA8 were provided by winsoft.eu, but you do not respond to emails. Please give the files to get at least version 8.12 as I had before reinstalling? Thus, I even did not install adobe printer.
Other programs work on 64bit win 8.1 goes perfectly.
Thank youI just noticed that you had mentioned Win8.1, 64-bit (OK, I don't always read things carefully enough). I suspect you may be out of luck. If you were successful with the install and the operation that is useful information. If it is just the updates that are the issue the manual route may work. You indicate there is no Adobe PDF printer. That may require a workaround by installing a PS print driver for a different printer (typically one of the HP printers) and renaming it Adobe PDF. You may not have an Adobe PDF printer port. In that case you will have to print to file (change the port to FILE in that case) and then open the file in Distiller to create a PDF. If you have no print driver, I also suspect that you do not have the port and also that AcroTray is not running or operational at least. AcroTray is what automates the conversion to a PDF from the Adobe PDF printer. The standard printer driver is actually a special PS driver dedicated to creating PDFs. Hopefully I am making some sense.

There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. As time goes on and mobile operating systems evolve the no Apple devices will lose their ability to run Flash too. Web developers need to move on to cleaner, more efficient types of programming. -
Update to Adobe Acrobat failed because it said I had a more functional product installed.
I have no idea what more functional product I have installed. Also, when I clicked on my plugin Adobe Acrobat to update, the update said Adobe Reader. Are they the same?
Thanks. I removed Adobe Reader, then clicked on the Update Now box for Adobe Acrobat in my Firefox plug-ins. This time the installation worked, but after closing my browser and opening it again, in my plug-ins list it still says to Update Now. Adobe Reader X (10.1.4) is now in my programs list so I don't know why.

By the today e-received updates for Adobe Photoshop Elemenst 12.1 and Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1 I got this error messages: Failure code = U44M1P2003. What to do? System = Window7 64bit.
Sometimes the Adobe servers used for the updates can get busy and it’s necessary to try a couple of times. Also make sure you don’t have a firewall which may be blocking the connection. It sometimes helps to temporarily disable internet security/anti-virus software. Because the Organizer is shared by both programs it often helps to do the PSE update first, followed by the PRE update in that order.
Select the 12.1 update for PSE from the updater dialog and ensure everything else is unchecked. Quit PSE and PRE if you have it running and then start the update.
If PSE updates properly to 12.1 repeat the process for PRE. -

I am not sure if you already tried this, but in case not, try to update Muse via Creative cloud directly.
Start creative cloud application manager, if you dont have it, you can download it from here,
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager
Login using your adobe id, once you are in, switch to Apps, and you should see the Update for Muse, click Update.

The mail app on my Mac laptop will not open. This began happening after an upgrade during which "Security UPdate 2012-004" was installed. My mail app has a new icon, and I think i trashed the old program (trying to follow directions). Suggest a fix?

Each time my iMac reboots I am prompted to enter my FaceTime password. This just started occurring after the most recent security update. When I put my password in the pop up just comes back, if I press cancle it goes away. Any ideas on how to get rid of this annoying popup?
I had the same problem. Try this. Launch FaceTime. Click the toggle to turn it off; or Command-K. Quit. Do a restart, you shouldn't get the popup. You could then turn FaceTime back on if you wish. Either way, the popup should be gone from then on.

Secunia Software Inspector Reporting Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 Missing
After deploying Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 to all of our managed computers, I ran a vulnerability scan using Secunia Software Inspector (http://secunia.com/software_inspector) and it is reporting that Adobe Reader is insecure (it is version 8.1.0.137) and references Secunia advisory SA30832 (http://secunia.com/SA30832). Specifically it reports that C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe is version 8.1.0.137, which it is. However, running Adobe Reader and selecting Help \ About Adobe Reader 8... from the menu reports that Adobe Reader is version 8.1.2. And selecting Help \ Check for Updates... from the menu reports "There are no updates available at this time." Shavlik NetChk also does not report Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 as missing.
The security bulleting from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-15.html) does not contain sufficient information to know if the security update has been correctly applied (there is no manifest of files with versions and dates to check).
It appears to me that the file C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe is not sufficient to determine the version of the installed Adobe Reader, that the update to Adobe Reader 8.1.2 does not update the version of this file, and that Adobe Security Update 1 does not update this file. Therefore, I suspect that Secunia Software Inspector is incorrectly reporting that Adobe Reader is vulnerable. However, without details from Adobe about what file are updated and what versions they should be, I cannot be sure.
How can I be sure that Adobe Reader is not vulnerable (it is fully up-to-date)?July 9 2008 When I run secunia inspector I am still getting a message that I have an earlier version of Adobe Reader installed though I have 8.1.2 including the security update for 8.1.2 installed. Here is what I get:

Following an update on Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro
Today there was a large update to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and once the update had installed I keep getting the following message
"You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by ininstalling and the reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (147:6)"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same error code and when contacting Adobe was told they are only customer support and not technical. Has anyone got and suggestions for me.The last update for the Acrobat 9 Family was back in May 2013 (to version 9.5.5*). That product is now end of line, there will never be any more updates and Adobe doesn't provide any customer support.
