No radial buttons

i just got my MacBook and i'm still getting used to everything. When i go onto some websites, i can't see radial buttons that i'm asked to push. An Example is on one site i was given a few choices to pick from, i can see the choices, but there were no little round buttons for me to push and make my selection. I'm sure there is some setting i need to select, but i don't know how to do it. Can someone help me?

Let's try Safari Preferences.
I tried that site myself. Same issue.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Preferences and select the Security tab.
Where you see web content, make sure the top 3 buttons are selected.
See if that helps.
I don't think the issue is Safari, I think the problem likes in the way the sites are developed.
You can try a different browser. Download and install Firefox.

    Finally got this radial button thing to work. I thought I would share.

  • Adding numerical value to radial button

    By the subject you can tell I'm a newbie. I'm an old newbie :-) so even you reply please don't assume I know much of anything. Thank you. My problem is in building a form that I wish to assign a numerical value to each of six radial buttons; the value of each of these optional buttons will populate a total field. Can anyone lead me to where I might find this information? Thanks.

    A tip if you are doing a total sum of several radio buttons, is how you name the fields can make the job a lot easier.
    If you use 'dot notation' in your file names (e.g. 'QTY.field1', 'QTY.field2', ...etc) then you can do a Sum calculation for your total field for 'QTY'. You don't have to enter each field manually when you create the Sum calculation, plus you can add fields and they will automatically be included if they are named similarly.

  • Deselect radial button in shut down as default

    When I shut down I would prefer to have the "open windows on restart" radial button deselected.  How is this done?  In the console?  Some preference somewhere?

    System Preferences > General
    If you want to turn it off on a per app basis, (TextEdit is by example, replace TextEdit with the name of the app)
    Launch Terminal and copy/paste this at the prompt...
    defaults write com.apple.TextEdit NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
    Press return.
    You can also accomplish this through the GUI by going to ~/Library/Saved Application State/TextEdit and delete that file/
    To turn off Resume globally...
    chflags uchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"
    Press return
    The reverse of the first one is to replace false with true.
    The reverse of the second one is
    chflags nouchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"
    Again, you can accomplish this through Finder by going to ~/Library/Saved Application State and deleting the folder.

    What is the error number in the error message? To reset the phone you must press and HOLD both buttons for at least 10 seconds, and longer until an Apple logo appears.

  • Broken Buttons in CC

    I have a UI that I have built using the sprite technique. It moves the image up and down inside the window on button click. it works fine up until cc. Its weird because When I click in some of the other fields the buttons eventually change to what was pressed. If I had to guess I would say it maybe the structure of the way this is written but I am not sure. It may not be fixable at all. The script is big so I am just going to post part of it. If anyone is haveing similar problems please share.

  • Weird button behaviors with interactive PDFs.

    I have created an interactive holiday gift certificate using InDesign CS6 where the user can download the interactive PDF, choose a certificate image, fill in the form fields, and then print and crop. To accomplish the correct functionality, I had to make just about every element a button. I made each certificate image a button so that the radial buttons could have the action to "show/hide" the correct graphic. I also made the header, background color and instructions text into buttons so that I could uncheck the "printable" box (if I leave these as non-printable objects rather than buttons, then they are not visible when exported to interactive PDF), therefor saving the user from printing unnecessary ink while also allowing the ability to print a hidden message thanking the user for using the certificate.
    The problem that I am running into, is that if the user accidentally clicks on one of these "buttons" (that is actually an object converted to a button to add the functionality stated above) with no actions assigned, the button is then selected, and the user can not click on any of the real buttons or form fields until after they click completely off of the document to deselect the button. I have tried to circumvent this in numerous ways to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Here is a link to the certificate:
    http://olympiawa.gov/city-utilities/garbage-and-recycling/zero-waste/~/media/Files/PublicW orks/Waste-ReSources/WF-Certificate-Holidays.pdf
    Please note, some browsers are not compatible with the functionality of the interactive form, so for best results open using Adobe Reader.

    I've been slammed with a deadline and just haven't had time to upload an edited version of my latest PDF and InDesign file for you guys to check out.  (I need to remove logos/client names/etc).
    What I have noticed, however, is that as far as the Rollover problem goes, previous PDFs that used to work fine now exhibit the same problem.  The rollover effect works for a fraction of a second (when the cursor hits the edge of the text box area it would seem), then stops working.  I'm going to say at this point that it's an Acrobat Reader/X version problem.  There's been very recent updates to both, hasn't there?
    The Show/Hide issue listed above has always been a problem with my stuff, so that may or may not be connected to a version issue and may be my fault.  I'll post the files as soon as I'm able.
    Tnx
    Edit:  Both problems also exist on the Mac version.

  • Preview text annotation customization

    I'm trying to change the following in preview text annotation:
    1) text & underline/strikethru colour
    2) font super-/sub-script
    3) line spacing
    I've read posts here suggesting clicking ⌘T to get to font menu which does come up but does NOT show any of above as options.
    Within ⌘T menu, the gears drop down button does allow bringing up the colour palatte and there is also radial button choices for super-/sub-scripts, BUT none of those actually changes anything.
    Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

    Preview its a viewer only, you want to edit the text, use Textedit instead

  • Is there a way to allow the end user to change the font color in a text field?

    I didn't know LiveCycle existed yesterday so I have been using the Google a bunch.
    I am building a request form and was asked if there was a way to change the color of font within a text field. (EXAMPLE: Original content is black. Notes are red)
    I have 2 thoughts on this, one is to type it out and highlight then click a button to turn it red. The other way I am more partial to. Have a radial button that when off, types black. When on, types red. What is the best way to do this or is it even possible?

    Figured it out. Change "plain text" to "rich text" and have user press ctr+e. Seems odd to me but it works.

    Over the years I have had many ISP and email addresses - but now we have  finally gone almost fully virtual...
    I have a live login and MS ID 4 my SkyDrive account but I only use my MS  touch with 8.1, SkyDrive and office 365 for mobility.
    And I still like to backup to my own server!!!
    What would be good is if I can put all the software licenses and product  keys of the software and keep a record of my mac addresses for  hardware  and even static IP's in a file or a secure location within the MS online  store.
    That's where MS wants me to get my computing needs from in future and I  will always be able to retrieve it in future but what about the $$$$$ I have  spent on software, hardware and applications prior to now???

    That's crap - This is a clean brand spanker install of Win7 and there was  nothing b4 I put the oem drivers from Toshiba back on.
    I looked at dozens of support pages and forum blogs and tried for hours to  get a copy to download - including incognito and other logins but because my  default PC name is also my MS Windows live ID the same error was repeated.
    I keep away from the non MS sites for these things and with good reason -  there were heaps of similar users with the same issue or very close to it that  had downloaded from a supposed MS copy from eValue or digital river etc and the  next
    thing was total corruption of the OS.
    EVENTUALLY I found a LIVE MS chat on a support site in the US and she gave  me a link to a slightly older version which will need updating and some reg edit  changes but so far, so good.
    The point is - what a crock !
    I should be able to just keep all my software, drivers, updates, service  packs, and versions that I have upgraded in the MS store.
    If Microsoft aren't going to support XP or Office 2003 and eventually 2007,  vista & Windows7 not far behind??? then that's still no excuse for them to  put these restrictions and limits when I OWN my copy of the software!!
    Unlike office 365 and SkyDrive space which is described in the T&C  (that we all read before ticking that radial button to agree of course) as ONLY  under a leased licence.
    IF Microsoft can support AND develop software that supports SQL2000  Servers, why is it so hard to archive and keep the same info for  everyone???

  • Calling a variable in an instance name

    Maybe I am far off here, but I'm hoping someone can help.
    Basically I'm creating a question with 4 answers (i.e. a,b,c,d).
    I have my question working fine, but I'm having a problem adding a check mark beside the answers once the user clicks the submit button.
    I've created four instances of my check mark; rightAns1_mc, rightAns2_mc, rightAns3_mc, rightAns4_mc.  I've set them all to _invisible = false;
    I've also set up a variable; nCheck:Number = 0; and when the user clicks one the radial buttons I have the variable change (i.e. if they click A, it set to nCheck = 1; if they click B, it sets to nCheck = 2; etc)
    So in my if statement for the submit button I figured I could have rightAns(nCheck)_mc._visible = true;
    This completely breaks everything. Like I said, I'm probably far off here. If I am what should I do differently, and if I'm close what am I doing wrong?

    use array notation to coerce flash to resolve strings to objects:
    this["rightAns"+nCheck+"_mc"]._visible=true;

  • Crystal Report can't access db in enterprise XI

    Product:                    Business Objects EnterpriseVersion:                      XIPatches Applied:        SP3Operating System(s): Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4Database(s):                  PostgreSQL My company is new to BO. We just purchased Enterprise XI and are in the process of project planning. In order to get reporting up and running as quickly as possible, we decided to release a phase I deployment that will include publishing our existing crystal reports (rpt's) to Enterprise. I'm able to publish the rpt files directly to the CMC from within Crystal Reports. When I view all the objects in the CMC, I can see the reports. However, when I try to run the reports I get this error (taken from  boe_crystalras logfile):ErrorLog 2008  2  6  3:00:56.523 1244 712 (../cdtsagent.cpp:3191): CDTSagent::doOneRequest reqId=103: CSResultException thrown.   ErrorSrc:"CRPE" FileName:"../reporthandler.cpp" LineNum:19034 ErrorCode:536 ErrorMsg:"Cannot logon with the custom database information specified in the InfoStore.  This is a configuration problem. Please contact your system administrator." DetailedErrorMsg:""  So something is wrong the database information - I'm just not sure what. My report works when run through Crystal Reports. I have a little test script that validates the ODBC channel on the linux side. I downloaded it from someplace - its called: odbctest.sh. Using that script, I can execute queries against the database, from the Linux server, with the DSN the report is based on.I've also tried various iterations of explicitly setting the database connection properties in the CMC via the process => database tab. Not matter what I enter there, I get the following error when trying to preview:Error
    The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect. I'm not quite sure where to go from here to continue troubleshooting. Can someone give me a nudge?Thanks in advance ...

    First of all your report must be able to run on the server, as well as the PC you created it on.  So the first thing to do is instal crystal developer (or whatever you used to create the report) on the server and see if you can run your report.  If not you will need to set up the same connection (same name too) on the server as you use on your PC to create the report.  Then try again and it should work.
    Next in the CMC in the Web browser, go to objects and find your file.  Click on it to open up its properties and then select the Process Tab and then Database.  Then you can fill in the password for your connection.  At the bottom click on the lower radial button to "Use Same Database Logon"
    This is a pain, and needs doing everytime you change and resave the report.
    Let me know how you get on.

  • How many concurrent devices does home sharing on iTunes support?

    On my appleTV, if I'm watching something from my home iTunes library through home sharing, then on another device, like my iphone, I access the same shared library through home sharing, the appleTV immediately drops connection and cannot see the shared iTunes library.
    This happens across all devices, yet apple specifically mentions the need to use the same appleID across all devices.  If I cannot home share to multiple devices at once, how will this EVER work.
    Is there something I might have configured wrong?  If I enable home sharing on enough devices, you cannot possibly complete a full TV show on the appletv without at least one of them accessing the library and kicking it off.
    How would 2 appleTVs ever work at the same time to stream different programs from the itunes library?

    Hi Faiz,
    There are not any known issues in terms of URLs failing. I would perform a packet capture on the WSA. See my instructions below:
    In order to obtain a simultaneous packet capture from the WSA & PC you will need to log into the GUI ->Support and Help -> Packet Capture -> Edit Settings -> Select the radial button No Filter.Please send me a packet capture from the WSA unfiltered. You will need to install wireshark on the PC or laptop you are testing from. It is a good idea to start the wireshark program from the PC first.  I would recommend using www.iana.org as a test as it uses only on IP address.
    When you have the captures completed I would first look at the WSA packet capture and use the following filter in wireshark http contains "www.iana.org". The various streams of communication will populate in the wireshark display. What you want to focus on is the streams that show the IP of the WSA and the IP of www.iana.org 192.0.32.8. We should see the following when you right mouse click the packet which shows the IP of the WSA going to the destination IP of www.iana.org:
    WSA IP -------SYN-----> www.iana.org IP
    WSA IP <--SYN/ACK-- www.iana.org IP
    WSA IP -------ACK-----> www.iana.org IP
    If you see this instead:
    WSA IP -------SYN-----> www.iana.org IP
    WSA IP -------SYN-----> www.iana.org IP
    WSA IP -------SYN-----> www.iana.org IP
    WSA IP -------SYN-----> www.iana.org IP
    Then you have a problem in your network.
    Sincerely,
    Erik Kaiser

  • Problems with text box borders, tabbing and saving doc in Acrobat Pro 7.1.0

    When I view my form document in Acrobat Reader, there is a red border around several text boxes
    in which I've selected 'NO border'
    Also, I've selected 'column order' for tabbing, but tabs continue to function in order in which I inserted form item (text box, check box or radial button). Since I didn't insert these consecutively, tabs no jump all around the form instead of proceeding in order from top to bottm and left to right.
    I've checked for Mac Acrobat Pro updates and see that there are three  - 7.1.1, 7.1.3, and 7.1.4, and am downloading them for install.
    Do any of the updates fix these problems? Or how can it be fixed?
    On opening document in Reader, I also get a message informing that document cannot be saved with changes and must be printed, even though I've created it with fillable forms.
    Is there some setting for allowing document to be saved?
    I want to be able to have recipient be able to download form, fill it out, save changes, attach to email and return it to me.

    This has been a problem since version 8 on the mac. Acrobat 7 on the mac worked fine with the right side trim but not on the PC.
    We are still having this problem with Acrobat 9.4.0 on the Mac & PC.
    This has now been an issue for 2 versions of Acrobat Pro.(8 & 9)
    Being in Pre Press and having to constantly set the trim for jobs, this is now taking up too much time and costing money.
    Please fix this Adobe.
    and on another note. how hard would it be to display the trim (if set) next to where the page size is?
    If the trim is set it should display it! why should we have to go to document/crop pages>trim.
    Im in a busy Pre Press Dept and the amount of times you have to check a trim size is stupid.
    I always set prefs to display crop / trim / and bleed boxes and this helps but it should display it if its set.
    Thanks
    Hope this is resolved soon.

  • "My Products" no longer showing up in posts

    Just noticed this for many members.
    When a post is made, "My Products" is no longer showing up at the bottom of the post like it used to.
    I checked my profile and it shows My Products still listed there.
    I see many people that are not showing either yet, some other members do have My Products showing.
    Must be a glitch from last nights update?
    Just now I see at the bottom of this new question there is are radial buttons to show your "Product"...
    I clicked on one of the radial buttons and will see if this works.

    When replying, the "My Products" are not showing for me.
    Look below and you will not see any of the products in the reply.
    Is this a change for the better?
    Maybe we only need to see what the original poster has?
    Any other thoughts?
