Hi,
You can maintain number ranges based on the contract types, it is available in config of contract types.
To maintain different number ranges for contract offer basing on the type of contract, you can use BADI BADI_REOR_OFFER and method IF_EX_REOR_OFFER~GET_NUMBER     Determine Contract Offer Number with Int. Number Assignment

  • Exit for role determination via exit for scheduling agreement and contract?

    Hi..
I have a requirement to fetch the agents in run-time for PO,PR,SCHEDULE AGREEMENT, CONTRACT..
    For PO i am using EXIT : - M06E0005
For PR release i am using EXIT :- M06B0001
By using above 2 exits i am getting the agents at run-time...
Same way i need the EXIT for SCHEDULE AGREEMENT and CONTRACT..
if there is any EXIT for this please share with me..
    Regards,
    Imtiaz Khan

    Hi Imtiaz,
Ideally you should have your agent determination logic in workflow itself instead of determinining them in EXIT.
Can you tell me why you are determining agents in exit and how you are making use of it ?
Also let us know how your workflows are getting trigger for all these documents.

    Hello,
For Purchase Requisitions, You need to implement enhancement MEREQ001, enhance the structures to add the fields on the screen, and call necessary Function exits to display / update the table.
    Please refer to the thread:
    enhancements MEREQ001 in purchase requisition

  • OMX4 - FBN1 - Number range for Material document and FI document

47 - is for FI document number range in Material ledger FBN1.  OMX4 gives number range for Material document.  My question is how big the number range must be?  Since thousands of Materials involved, I couldn't imagin this?
Anybody knows, how to determine the size of no. ranges in Material Ledger configuration?  SAP simply says, check no. ranges whether it meets the requirement....
I don't expect an answer again, just check your business, how many transactions would be in a period, which is not quantifiable now?
I would like to understand this from somebody's experience of using insufficient or excessive no. ranges, especially in this area.
    Cheers,
    Ashok

What is the number range you are using? Year Dependent or Independent?
When you don't know the document number consumption pattern you should use Year dependent number range in both OMX4 & FBN1. Observing this for a month will give a rough Idea and observing for a Quarter will give you a fair Idea and the result for a year gives almost near to accurate consumption of number ranges.
The generation of documents is dependent on the number of materials and Profit centers involved. As much as possibe use Summarization at profit center level when posting to FI. This will reduce the number of documents and line items that are getting generated.

  • Is workflow mandetory for shopping carts and contracts approvals srm7

    hi
in SRM 7 are workflows mandetory for approvals of Shopping carts  andContracts?
I understand you need an approved workflow to turn a SC to a PO.
is workflow required for approval of  shopping carts or can approvals be done manually
you create the SC and you communicate and  look at  the sc and approve it
Same type of question for workflow in contracts  for approval ?? is it mandetory or optional (manual achieve approvals)
    cheers

    Hello Alex,
SRM 7 has process controlled workflow and its easy to configure for simple requirement.
Yes, Shopping cart approval will be required to change status of SC to approved. Though it can be as simple as auto approval. SAP delivers number of standard BC Set for approvals including auto approval of SC.
SRM also has a option of adding approvers & reviewers. SC creator can add approvers & it goes for approval to added approver.
    Hope this helps.

  • Set the name of cell or cells' range for a report and when export it to excel the names will be defined.

    Hello,
I have an C# application that exports report from Reporting Services to Excel files.
I would like to know if there is a possibility to set the name of the cell or range of cells in the report (via Report Builder or somewhere else) and when open the Excel the names are set. Similar functinality when you open the Excel and go Formulas/Define
Name and set the name for a unique cell or range.
    Regards,

    Hi there,
I don't believe this is possible in Reporting Services.  One workaround, if you don't know the exact range at runtime, might be to put hidden characters (white?) in your sheet at start and end of range, then do some postprocessing on the file using
VSTO or perhaps a 3rd-party tool like this one.
    http://www.aspose.com/reporting-services/excel-component.aspx
If you do know the range it should be much easier.
    cheers,

  • Release strategy for PO and Contract

    Hi,
    I maintain characteritic for PO
    Plant
    Doc Type
    Net Order Value
    Purchasing Group
    I maintain characteristic  for contract
    Company code
    Target Value
    Doc Type
    Purchasing group
    My class consist of
    Plant
    Doc Type
    Net Order Value
    Purchasing Group
    Company code
    Target value
Q1: Do i need to maintain ALL characteristic value when i define my release strategy for PO or Contract as some characteristic only apply to PO only or contract only?
Q2:  What option do i have if i need to maintain all characteristic value ? leave it blank ? empty
Currently my PO release is working fine but when i try to maintain the contract release inside the class . my PO release is not triggering . I maintained diffrent release group for both PO and Contract .
    Thank for your advice

    First of all
For purchasing like PO,pr,contract you can able to get in ekko table. No need to maintain separate release unless if it your business requirement.Take Document type as one of the characteristics it will distinguish whether it is PO or contract.
You have to maintain all the characteristic value then only it will trigered release.
Check the release indicator as well.
    Hope it will help.

  • Difference between Business Partner (General) and Contract Partner

    Hi,
How is a business partner different from a contract partner with respect to IS-U?
    Thanks
    C

    General Business Partner:
The general business partner is only stored for information purpose.
    Contract Partner
A contract partner is linked to the company through contract accounts and contracts. This makes
you to possible to allocate contract account to a business partner and bill for services if the
business partner was created with the role contract partner.
Please Allot points if it helps
Please let me know if you need any more clarifications on this.

  • Number ranges for PO and GRN

    Hi
I wanted to define 3 plants in SAP. Can we have separate number ranges for Purchase order and GRN as plant specific. PLs let me know if it is possible through user exits. This number range i wanted to define year specific.
I have searched for the user exits, but couldn't find any. Pls help

    Hi,
Separate number ranges for Purchase order is possible if you have separate PO Document type which represents different procurement processes.
As needed by you ,can control form basis side( by having authorization matrix) for specific PO creation with specific PO document type with a specific plant. For example:
You have PO document types: NB, ZNB, YNB, FO,UB,ZSNB
You have three plants... P101,  P102 and P103
From basis side( by having authorization matrix) allow users to create
    1. To Create PO with ZNB ,YNB and ZNB PO types for Plant P101
    2. To Create PO with FO and ZSNB PO types for Plant P102
    3. To Create PO with UB  PO types for Plant P103
Also you can configure PO number range W.R.T. Company Code by User Exit, check User Exit M06B0003 & M06B0004.
For having number range for GR which is WE for year specific, check link:

What do you mean by same number range?
As for as i know number ranges are application specific so you cannot have both SD and FI documents in a same number range.
What you can do with userexits is to assign a number range based on a condition. For example Plant based Billing number range, even you cannot have same number range for Sales order and billing.

  • DHCP Server - Different Range for Wired and Wireless Network

We have DHCP setup on Windows Server 2012r2 and the range given to us by the main HQ is 10.65.112.1-10.65.112.254 (there are several exclusions under this range)
Now since the range gets exhausted quickly, they provided another one 10.65.122.1-10.65.122.254.
What our branch would love to do is to dedicate the first range for Wired Computers and the other range for Wireless Devices (Phone,Tablets, Mobiles)
Right now we have 2 different scopes setup in DHCP, the second one is disabled. In our network we have 6 access points and also have a CISCO SG300-52 Managed Switch. It has an inbuilt DHCP Server and also has the function for DHCP Relay. But we are not actually using any of its functionality as of now.
So my question is how to have 2 separate ranges for wired and wireless network. People have mentioned vlans but I have no clue on how to get that done.
Is there a simpler way avoding V-LANS or if not, would love to get step by step procedure on how to go about this. Any help will be much appreciated
    Regards,
    Sheldon

Hi Sheldon, please read this post
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2270049
You will need some modifications though. Steps 1-6 is very relevant. On step 6, you need to pay particular close attention to the "default router". If the SX300 handles your intervlan routing then the default router needs to be the IP of your VLAN. If you have a different device to handle VLAN routing then the default router needs to be that IP address.

  • Convert      quote to order / Contract quote to Contract

    Hi all
Please tell me how to convert a service quotation to service order without creating a follow up document.
Also how to convert contract quotation to contract without creating a follow up document.
Any help is appreciated and suitably rewarded.
    Thanks in Advance
    Sonali

    Hi,
1.In the Service Quotation and Contract Quotation put status profile CRMORDER.
    2. In the item categories(Which is getting determined for Service Quotation and Contract Quotation), put the follwing setting in the third level customizing of item category.
Relevance for quotation: 2 Initial quotation
Subsequ. processing : X Quotation is copied to subsequent document
3.When you create a quotation (Service/Contract), and put in the product the status will be Quotation. Just change the status by clicking on the order icon which converts the status to Quotaion Accepted, and hence change the Quotation to the Order.

It will be 2 and not 301. This is a flaw with CIN. All transactions take place by means of internal numbers and are stored in CIN transaction tables. Hence when the range gets exhausted, the number gets reset to the beginning, yet there is no error because internal number, which is the primary key, is different.
To solve your problem. Go to SNRO and provide the object J_1IEXCLOC and click on status. Change the status to 300 and continue with your transaction.

    Aroop
PS: Your question is more relevant for SD than MM.

  • Number range for extended classic scenario

    Hi,
we've activated extended classic scenario for some defined categories (material groups), other will use classic scenario as before. It works, we are able to craete POs in both ways. I've tried to use the same number range for backend POs and for local POs. I've set the same number for both ranges but only the one which is used is getting updated. Is it possible to syncronize these ranges so backend POs will all be created in the same range?
    Regards
    Hubert

    Hi Hubert,
Not the best practice that you are following. it might work for some time  but will fail for most of the time . The maintenance is going to be huge and you could expect problem with these.
I would suggest not to think on the solution of same number range itself.
    Thanks
