great rear left speaker stoped working in enternainment mode only. Is this the driver or my sound card? Guess Ill have to uninstall and re-instal to find out. Kinda cheesy for a 00+ sound card.

6 Channel Direct is the 3 connectors you are using. The connector is Front Right and Front Left; the second cable is Rear Right and Rear Left; the last is the Center channel and the Sub. When you set the Logitec Module to use 6 Channel Input, you are letting the computer decode the audio information and tell the Logitech module to play exactly what the computer tells it on each channel. When you use the other effects, you are letting the Logitech system decide how the audio is played.
Pro Logic II takes two channel audio (right and left) and maps it to fi've channels (rear left and right and center). So if you are using the PS3 in the optical input slot, then if the game does not have surround sound and you want it, you can get psuedo-surround sound by having the Logitech system use Pro Logic to map the stereo up to surround. If the game has surround sound, the Logitech system will detect that if you have the options on the game set to surround and you will see the Dolby Digital icon on the panel that tells you it is mapping true surround sound to 5 speakers and you won't have to set the effect to anything; it is automatic.

The Xtreme Audio is a better card from what I see. I have had issues with the 24-bit Crystalization on my card as well, so just turn it off. I think it is an issue with the Logitech system not liking the way Creative encodes.
As far as the bass goes, you might have messed up your subwoofer settings on the Creative Console or they may be set wrong on the Logitech system. To check the Logitech system, Press the "Level" button and see what your sub is set at. Use the volume nob to change the setting and see how that affects it. Otherwise, take a look at your bass settings on the Creative console or the bass redirection on the THX console.Message Edited by Jeff78 on 0-24-200705:52 PM

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are getting sound both from your speakers and the headphones when the headphones/earplugs are plugged in.
A fix to try is, to go into the Control panel
then Hardware and Sound
then click on Sound and select the Recording tab
Select your microphone/headset as the default device, and press OK.
Also you can look at this page from answers.microsoft.com, as if offers a few more suggestions.

Really low sound from rear left spea

I have 5. headphones and when i have them pluged into my xtreamgamer i barly get any sound from my rear left speaker, i know it works because if i plug it in my basic MB soundcard it works fine. Is this a known problem or a fix for this?

I've installed the latest drivers, made sure the the jack is plugged in right (theres only one, that comes from the Monitor or the headphones). The CD only has an installation guide, and i know onboard sound is disabled because i never had one in the first place after a recent reformat. and before that reformat sound came out from both sides normally, so i know something is wrong with the sound card.
EDIT: i just did a random tests, and i found out that the right speaker is working, but it is playing extreamly low. i had to blare up my volume up to 00% and i bearly heard it. i've checked the playback control, and played around with it and still have same problem.Message Edited by Bigs80 on --200606:49 AM

Unplug the minijack connectors (orange, green, black, and gray/white) from the subwoofer's amp. Leave them connected to the soundcard. Plug the green connector into the minijact port that's meant for the rear speakers. This should make the sound meant for the front come from the rear instead.
Now play some music or run some tests. Does the Rear Left speaker work? If so, then it's a software problem. You would just have to wait for an update or you could try uninstalling the drivers (run CTZAPZZ.exe on the driver CD; in Drivers directory) and reinstalling them and the updates.
If it still does not work, then it sounds like a problem with the amplifier in the subwoofer. In this case, you'd have to return the speakers for repair.

Rear left speaker doesn't work on X-FI XtremeMu

So I bought this X-Fi xtrememusic..No doubt it works fantastically in gaming and pinpoints the source of sound really well..Well what's my problem? this POS X-Fi doesn't emit any sound from rear left speaker..my speaker isn't the issue here because I tried it with my $0 sound card and rear left speaker works FINE..how the hell $30 worth sound card can't do/perform something that even $0 sound card can do...give me a break Creative...this **bleep** is going back to the store if there is no solution to this.. I've already wasted 2 hrs of my life just trying to reinstall/uninstall newer/older version of their bloated drivers..no avail..What should I do? I'd like to keep this card as it is the best gaming sound card out there right now....

This is getting me pissed now. I have the Fitalty version and everything working fine at first, except for the stuttering in HF2, but now in Game mode only my Front right speaker doesn't work. I do have all the latest drivers on my system and Creative. I only lose my right front speaker in game mode, I swap to entertainment and everything works fine.
I agree with the above poster that its a driver issue, I do know creative has always lacked in that dept (decent drivers) so I have no reason to believe otherwise now.
I've tried alot of various things and sorry for not listing them all, nothing has worked yet.

The rear left speaker of my gigaworks 7.1 system all of the sudden stop working. I switched the speakers and the cables from the back of the of the subwoofer and all the speakers worked but when i pluged each of the speakers in? The rear left plug-in on the back of the subwoofer none of them worked. That's how i got to the conclusion that the rear left plug-in for some reason is dead. Can anyone help me with this problem?

I have the same problem and I just sent my sub woofer at a cost of an additional $30 shipping and just got it back to find the one I got back if not the same one LEFT REAR SPEAKER DOES NOT WORK. Before it made distorted noises, now it doesn't nothing. This seems to be a repeating partern I'm seeing here and of course no info in FAQ like popping crackling noise in XFI.... Same thing with the speakers. I love the Mods recommendation, its funny when you catch them giving advice for stuff you've tried without luck and you know lightning rarely strikes twice.... Or posts twice. I'll check back if I figure something out, hope if you find a fix you post it please.

Right and Left sound is reversed

As the title says, my right headphone plays left sound, and vice versa.
I looked through some of the pages for relevant info but found none that I could use.
Do anyone of you know how to switch them over. (and no, i have no ability to change the chord from right-socket to left-socket)

I got the front panel to work correct and not reversed on my sonata.
I just switched RET_R+FPOUT_R with RET_L+FPOUT_L.
Still got that disgusting sound in the rear though. Sounds horrible

I had a good 5 year run without issues with this sound card. Now every speaker works fine but the rear left. The rear left just stopped working. It makes static noise whenever there is movement in the screen, like scrolling or playing a video. SuggestionsThanks.

Well, after 1.5 hours of digging through the garage for my old computer, I managed to transplant the soundcard...... SAME PROBLEM! So I guess it's the jack. Is there anything I can do to fix it at this point? Anything to specifically look for? This model only costs $30 on google now, so I wouldn't want to pay to get it fixed and whatnot.

Not unless it goes back online. If it was stolen it may have been restored, in which case it will never appear again in Find My iPhone.

OKay guys, Im sure there is a very simple solution here but I just cant find it.
I have a SB Fatality soundcard and I think I have wired it up correctly with the jacks. However, when I go to the THX Setup Console to test and run the 'speaker selection' check etc?I have the front right and rear right 'ladies voice' sounding out of the front left and frear left speakers (or rather, my 5. headphones). The sub and centre are fine.
What am I doing wrong. I have swapped the jacks but to no avail. Is there a wa to 'swap' the speaker configuration.
Please help me with this frustraing issue.

I have the Inspire 5.1 5200 sound system hooked up to SB Audigy. I have Windows sound control panel and creatives panel configured to 5.1 speakers. Still there is no sound out of both rears. What is going on? Thanks in advance.

I have a problem with connecting a computer to TV (32HL933).
I plug the VGA cable view is fine, but I can not connect the sound...
Where TV takes an audio signal in PC mode?? (in this TV model)

HDMI, VGA, digital audio(out), SCART,... From the left: 3 component(in), 2 audio(in).
I connect to 2 audio. Then i can hear the music in 2 and 3 mode. 1 mode this is SCART(no music).

I was not aware of the fact one could use ringtones as alarms, this will suffice! Although I foresee some very awkward times as the sound does not stop once I respond to the reminder (it keeps going for good five - ten seconds after I "stop" the reminder), but it's better than missing it altogether!

-Modular747: I don't know anyone who actually reads the terms of service agreement, those things are usually up to thirty, small print pages full of legal jargon. Rules, I do read - not the legal documents (also they often contradict the laws in my country, but that's a whole different story).
I agree with you - the average customer support consultant mostly cares about keeping his job and earning his salary (don't we all?) and thus racking up completted tasks (i.e. getting rid of customers as fast as possible - in a good mood). The "threat" none the less is real, if a cell phone causes me more trouble than it is worth, I will indeed throw it away (I have done so before) - and recommend a different brand to anyone willing to listen.
Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and I've been faithfully using and recommending their producs for twenty years now, not because of fanboyism, but because they earned it. This calendar issue, however, is like a toaster that doesn't automatically eject the toast at the set time. I see it as a major flaw and after googling around a bit I see that it's been around since at least 2007 (THAT'S SEVEN YEARS!!) so I strongly believe they are aware of this problem by now, but are choosing to ignore it for some mysterious reason and it really ****** me off.
I will send the feedback but based on my observations I suspect the Send button is merely a cleverly disguised Delete button.

Premiere Elements 4 - No Sound in Editing Mode

There is probably a simple answer to this. I've just begun playing with this software althought it is clear that I bought it a long time ago in a bundle with Photoshop Elements 6.0. I have no driving desire to create videos, but would like to be able to use the program to edit existing video files. I've some experience with audio editing using Audacity. I find it relatively intuitive and see some similarities between it and PE4.
I opened the program, started a new project, used Files and Folders to import a mpg file that plays fine. I dragged the file from the right pane into the one on the left and I can see video and audio tracks. I begin playing the file. I can see the video change images, but I hear no audio. I don't see a 'volume' or audio on/off switch and am at a loss how to search for such in the Help file.
I had one straightforward editing task that I could do based on images alone. I clipped the track at two points and deleted the selected portion and closed up the track. I think it is still seen as two clips, but I managed to export it as an avi file and that plays, with sound.
Now I want to edit out 40 seconds from the 30 minute mpg and export that as an avi file. My edit requires that I be able to hear the audio. How do I get access to it while editing?

You are most welcome.
As that article states, there are a lot of places, where Audio must be set, from the system to the editing program, and then, depending on the Audio device (sound card, or chip), there might be additional places in the control console software for that device, where setting need to be made. Luckily, once the proper settings have been made, one should not have to make any changes, unless the swap out the sound device.
Also, all sound devices will require a software driver to function fully, and especially in a program, like PrE. It is a good idea to periododically update that audio driver, just like one does with the video driver. If, after all settings have been correctly applied, and the sound fails, that would be the first action - update the audio driver.
