NO RECORD of iTunes Music Card, how do I get it to work??
I bought this Music Card along with 2 others, both of which work, but this one gives an error message reading...."no record of gift certificate or prepaid card you entered"
I've entered the code numerous times and studied it carefully to make sure I enter the code correctly all to no avail.
The store I bought it from refused to offer any help other than to tell me to contact iTunes, which I've done via e-mail because I can find no number to call that will allow me to talk to customer service.
What else can I do in the meantime....or what can I do to expidite this process...in a few hours I will be unable to access any highspeed connection for the next month because I'm in Alaska and will be out of range of any such service!!!

I have a couple of articles that can help you troubleshoot this issue. First, if you are downloading HD content, you will need to know the system requirements for HD playback, which can be found here:

ITunes Music Card-How do I register it?
New to ipod & iTunes. Have new 80gig, downloads and cd imports no problem, but can't figure out how to register Music Card my daughter got me for Fathers Day. Have iTunes 7 but help is no help. I'm logged in to my account, but I see no link to Gift Card. Windows or links that help says should be there aren't.
Is this Apple's way of taking the money and running?Figured it out after reading thru many other posts... help was no help.
Now I've hit the -50 Error downloading music. First freeking time I try to download purchased music from iTunes and it does not work (had downloaded a free music video earlier today Tenacious D). Apple/iTunes was sure quick to debit my account, before the songs were downloaded. Apparently iTunes 7 (i'm learning after purchasing my IPOD) is repleat with problems. Try to report an error from my accounts "Purchased History," select Report a Problem and the link goes away.
***. Had better luck and got actual phone support (in real time) from Sony Connect Music for my old Network Walkman.
So my accounts been debited and I didn't get my music and the support provides no solution that works. -
I deleted some files from my iTunes music library, how do I get them back?

I have had an 80Gb iPod for a while now, but it got full, so I was deleting stuff that I didn't listen to very often from my iTunes library as I added new music. However, I kept all the music in my iTunes Music folder.
I have now purchased a 120Gb iPod, but obviously some of my music is only in the iTunes Music folder, but NOT actually in my music library within iTunes. Is there a way to sync the entire library with the new iPod (ie. including all the albums that I deleted from my iTunes library to accommodate new ones), or will I have to manually check my entire iTunes music library against my iTunes Music folder?
In essence, what I want to do is the opposite of consolidating my iTunes music library into my iTunes Music folder - to get all the music in my iTunes Music folder back into the library, without duplicating the stuff that's on there already. I hope that's clear...?

Matt.Try iTunes Folder Watch for rereading the content you deleted, assuming you only removed it from the library, not the media folder. If you deleted the tracks then restore those that remain from the recycle bin first.
When you are finished you should have a new playlist with all the tracks that iTFW found. Rename this Exclude and then create a smart playlist called, say, iPod Music with the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Exclude. This is the playlist you sync with your device, and any time it grows too large just find some more stuff to throw into Exclude.

Have you exited the app completely? Click the home screen twice so you can see all open apps - then slide the app off the screen so it closes. Then re-open it.

If you are trying to redeem a gift card then you should be able to do so via the Redeem link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1574 - is that how you are doing it ?

Hello, deployed an want to use an itunes gift card after I put in the number to use it and purchase music itunes continues to take me back to the credit card billing page. I only want to use the gift card, how to I get pass the credit card billing page. Also as soon attempt to put in my new credit card number it immediately times out can this be associated to where I'm located?
Go to your account on your computer and set the credit card to none. This will allow you to use the gift card.

Itunes music card redeem balance
I bought an itunes music card, and purchased 1 album, but i still had $30 credit. When i try to use the remaining balance, it says that the card has already been redeemed. How do i access the remaining credit?
The card itself has to be redeemed only once.
The correct (remaining) iTMS balance should show up right to your iTMS User ID in iTunes when selecting iTMS.
Under certain conditions there may be displayed an erratic balance - in this case #1 log out from your iTMS account #2 Quit iTunes #3 Relaunch iTunes #4 Log into your iTMS account. -
About a year ago my itunes was completely wiped off my computer. I have since changed my email address & created a new account with itunes. How do I access my itunes music card? When I enter my card code to redeem, it tells me that the card has already been reedemed. But how do i re-access it now? I know there is still quite a bit of credit remaining on it. Any help would be appreciated on this matter.

Itunes Music Card access privileges
My daughter recieved a $25.00 card for xmas, she plugged in the code, started to download 4 songs....took the money off the card but we get the error......
"You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Please check the connection to the network is active ands try again. "
she gets this on her sign on and I also get it. we have never had a problem downloading songs when it was coming off my mastercard. it is only on the Itunes music card.
also, how do you switch back and forth from charging it to the music card and charging it to my mastercard, when i download a song it wants to use the music card and I do not want to use up her money. If it ever works.Thanks for your help but that did not work either. I guess I will pay attention the next time and make sure i go to the MAC one, not windows. which i just reposted on the mac site and see that you are also there answering questions, before i posted though, i did not see any posts that are having the same issues as I'am ?

Some of my songs are listed twice on my iPod itself. However, when I plug the iPod into my computer, the songs don't show up twice in iTunes when I click on device/music. How do I get rid of the duplicate songs on my iPod?
that is odd! that should not be happening.
Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes. -
I dowloaded ios5 for my iphone4, and when i finished the backup i lost all the music and all the videos i bought from the iTunes store. How can i get it back?
Backup do not contaiuns music or apps, you will either need to resync them from your itunes computer, or you can go to purchase history in itunes or app store app and go to purchase history and redownload them.

My iPod Classic is seen by Windows but not by iTunes. I have reset it, gone to disk mode and it won't show up in iTunes. There appears to be music on it in a file called MUSICSAVE. How can I get this to work with iTunes again?
1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

When I try to sync my music on my iPhone 4 I have a tab at the top that says 'on this iPhone'. This is at the end of all the other tabs like info, ringtones, music etc. The music in that tab is always on my phone but does not show in my itunes library. How can I get it into my library? It doesn't sync either.
The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.
