No records in DataSource 2LIS_12_VCITM

Hi,
I need to extract sales data from R/3 to BW. Probably this data could be extracted with a standard extractor (DataSource 2LIS_12_VCITM ). I try to check, if it is the right extractor in rsa3 (in my source system). My problem is that I receive 0 records, but there are some data records for orders and deliverys in my source system.
Does anybody know what the problem could be or where I can find some information how this extractor works?

you need to run transaction oli8bw first, to fill the setup tables.

recently we integrated new sales organisation to our datasource: 2LIS_12_VCITM,but the data is not coming from this datasource:2LIS_12_VCITM
to BI system.this data is not coming to BI system,but data is available in r/3 tables: likp and lips tables. daily we are loading deltas to our bi system.Could you please provide us the table at r/3 side where i can check the settings of this datasource:2LIS_12_VCITM.

But this Datasource available in 400 Client, But still I am getting this error.
DataSource 2LIS_12_VCITM does not exist in source system GQACLNT400 of version A

try checking in RSA3 once...
go to lbwe....rsa5 ...install it again...then in LBWE ...Click on Inactive...generate ur datasource again...save it.. and make it ACTIVE....
Now replicate the datasource...now it will prompt u to generate TRANSFER rules......It should generate
I faced it couple of days before....I solved it in the same manner....
Some times ...the datasource will not generate correctly and will throw that error.... if possible check ur fields in the Maintenance and Datasource generation......
Also check authorizations if it fails again.....SU53......

Less number of records on datasource

There is a extractor 0ASSESSMENT_TEXT .It is showing 20 records as the source table LSOTACASSESSMENT is having 21 records.Can anyone explain the reason behind this?

Hi pallavi,
I have debugged and trace that your data source is extracting data from application rather than table you mentioned. so that is the reason why your data source is showing less no. of records as in table and that is the configuration settings they made in R/3.

How to deal with delete record in generic delta of generic datasource

Hi,
Anyone can give me suggestion about the delete record in generic delta of generic data. I need extract data with a generic datasource and hope deleted record in datasource also can be "delete" in next delta extraction. I do a test with generic delta. It seem that the delete record can not be updated in ODS. but updated record can be updated in next delta extraction.
How dose BW generic delta deal with the deleted record with generic delta mechanisim? Or how can I use generic delta mechanisim to realize that BW "delete" the deleted record of source system in ODS with delta extraction?

Delete is not supported in delta mechanism of generic delta extractor. You will need to add a workaround for that.
- Capture the deleted records somewhere (maybe enhance the txn deleting the record so the key is written to a Z table). Take these records to BW and manipulate the recordmode to affect deletion of corresponding record from ODS.
- If your generic delta is based on FM, and if the 'delete' is captured in change document tables, add the logic to check change document tables whether any records are deleted, and if yes, send those to BW with appropriate recordmode to achieve deletion.

Sales District problem inn 2LIS_12_VCITM as its available in datasource

Dear All.
i have modify the standard cube 0SD_C03 and added a Sales District in Organization dimension my requirement is to show the Incoming order quantity, Delivery quantity and Billing Quantity with respect to Sales District / Region.
i am filling the 0SD_C03 cube with the following data sources 2LIS_11_VAITM, 2LIS_12_VCITM and 2LIS_13_VDITM
but when i run the report the data is inconsistency due to the document type Deliveries does not filling the Sales District.
when i check the RSA3 extractor program both the other datasource are showing the Sales District data but 2LIS_12_VCITM is not displaying the Sales District field but this field is available in the datasource.
i try alot because according to the documentation it is quite straight that data source 2LIS_12_VCITM contain the Sales District field and it is available in LBWE.
it is not showing in the RSA3 extractor and nor filling the cube.
i am using BI7.0 and connecting with SAP 4.7.
any help will be highly appreciated.

i haven't change the extractor i only change the InfoCube 0SD_C03 by adding the Sales District characteristic the field sales district already there in the datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM i can see it in R/3 using LBWE.
but when i load this datasource in my cube there is all data but the filed sales district is empty and this is only for this datasource the other two datasources fill the data along with sales district field.
then i check this datasource in RSA3 in R/3 side and it also not showing the data for this field, but this filed is part of the datasource.
i hope i have clear the question.

Not getting data added to IC for 2LIS_12_VCITM

I am loading datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM to a sales InfoProvider. I got the number of records transferred to BW is 1174, but the number of records added is 0. Has anyone come across this and can advise on how to fix this?

Hi,
It is the prblem with Industory sector setting missing in R/3.
So you need to do 2 settings in r/3 before filling the set uptable :
1) Industory sector selcetion
2) tick mark for BW in BF11 Tcode.
Search the forums with BF11 for more information.

Problem with return table(adding extra record)

I am facing a probelm with return table, i.e it is adding body record and workarea record also to the data target. so, it is adding the actual record to data target including the workarea record to with the key figure and year values as zeros and spaces. It's quite strange.

Is it strange? or am I doing sth. wrong?

Create records in start routine - BI 7.0

we have a special business szenario: we have to create additional data records between DataSource and DSO.
Our DSO has the key fields DocNo, PosNo and 0Calmonth. In some cases in delta init we have to create additional records.
I found some intresting threads on SDN how to do that:

But we are using BI 7.0 and ABAP OO.
How is it possible to create additional records in start routine using BI 7.0? Have anybody done this and have good hints or examples how to do this?

Applescript - how can I count the number of records in a Word data source?

I have written a script in AppleScript to open Word and then perform a mail merge from a data source and everything is working fine.
One thing I want to do but am struggling with is to return the number of records in the mail merge.
I am trying things like:
get last record of datasource of mydatasource
and also haven't been able to find anything in the AppleScript 2004 Word Reference Guide.
Can anyone help as I have been searching the web and trying things all day and I am sure it can't be difficult.

I don't think there is an automatic way to get a line count, but I don't have any problem just counting the lines on a page. Maybe some more information about what you are trying to do and why you can't do it would help someone to come up with a helpful suggestion.

How the standard BW3.5 DataSource used in BI7

Hi,
In BI Content, there are huge amount of standard BW3.5 DataSource.
They can be activated from R/3 side and replicated to BI.
Is there anyone know if these DataSources are BW3.x? and if I would like to use the new BI7 transformation technical to these DataSources, what should I do? currently there is an error message when using these 3.x datasource with transformation. for example, for datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM.

Hi,
All the standard SAP datasources in BI content are 3.x datasources. which means that if you only activate them you cant create a transformation on them. Only update and transfer rules are possible. You'll need to install these datasources and then migrate and activate them inorder to convert them to a 7 datasource. To migrate them, first install them, then right click and choose the migrate option.
Also while migrating choose the migrate with export option, so that you'll be able to restore them to the older versions incase of any problems.

Delta Upload picking no records

Dear All,
I have problem with delta upload, Intialize upload is happening but delta upload not picking the records but it is showing green signal with 0 records.
DataSource : 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H
the delta type for the datasource is AIMD.
I am really not very sure if my datasource supports delta.
I am pulling data from Solution MANAGER.

Check your datasource in RSA2 there you can check whether or not it is delta enabled also you can check in rsa3.

Data extraction from datasource-0CRM_SRV_PRO_PLAN

When we executed query 0CRM_FOCS_Q0002, result was not having any data.
As this query is related with infocube 0CRM_FOCS, when we checked in RSA1- the datasource related to it was 0CRM_SRV_PRO_PLAN.
When I checked in RSA3 in CRM system,this datasource showed just 1 entry.
But this blog-https://scn.sap.com/thread/289692 gave me an additional thought that something should be done to extract actual records.
Actually what should we do to get complete records from datasource 0CRM_SRV_PRO_PLAN

Talk with someone from CRM team. Did they run a service plan simulation?
The datasource delivers data that are enabled after you simulate expected service orders based on existing service plans.The data is only calculated during the simulation can be transferred to SAP BW for further analysis and strategic service planning.
