No response When I clicked Bex Broadcaster

Hi All,
In BW Development system I am able to Broadcast my query into Internet Explorer.
Where as BW Quality system not able to do it, when I clicked Bex Broadcaster option In query designer, No response.
FYI..I have authorizations as like BW Development system but still problem alive..

Hi,
when you execute braodcaster option from query designer by default it will go to Web portal. You have to check you EP team whether it is configured with QA and you have to give URL for your portal in transaction RSPOR_CUST01.

I often get very slow response when I click on a link, any link. But if I go back and click on the link again, then the page will open almost immediately. I discovered this by accident and noticed that this happens every time. It would be nice if I got fast response on the first click without having to do this silly procedure and it seems to me that there's a simple fix. I would appreciate it if you could help. When I need to fill in a form the autofill dialog window appears but there is no response when I click in the window.

When I need to fill in a formon Safari, the autofill dialog window appears but there is no response when I click in the window. It will work if I go to the edit submenu and click on autofill but not by clicking autofill in the window on the form itself. Why not?

The reason firefox is not able to launch thunderbirds is because it cannot start thunderbird as administrator unless firefox is running as administrator, try to start firefox as administrator user then click the link.
It should work.
To start a program as '''administrator on windows''', '''RIght Click''' on the iFF con and choose '''Run as Administrator''', then press yes when the user access control box pops.

We have enterprise portal only JAVA server SPS 10 patch 10
This server integrated with SAP BW system 7.0 version.
when we try to click on BEx broadcaster link from portal we are getting the error.
Portal runtime error.

Adobe Forms - 'Invalid Server Response' when we click "Submit"

We created a simple PDF form and built the process flow using Guided Procedures in Portal. When we click the "Submit" button on the form, we receive a message stating: Invalid Server Response.

No response when I click the apple symbol on macbook air

Dear Loner T, thanks a lot or your quick reply - my current version is 10.9.5 and it is a MacBook Air from 2013.
However - in the meantime before your reply - I did do the following and got it working again: latest itunes update which came in just minutes after I posted this problem plus after the update I closed the mac via keynote (keynote and pages were the only programs where the apple symbol did respond) - strange, but now everything runs perfectly again.

Quiz problems, white screen appears, quiz freezes, cannot get consistent responses when adding click-through assessment questions to the quiz.

Why would I get a white screen after answering a quiz click-through?

You'll have to do two things.. Elaborate on exactly what you mean by a white screen appears. What is turning white? Are you generating a SWF from captivate of a screen capture session, then trying to load that SWF with a wrapper and when you do so it turns white? (In that scenario, if Captivate was looking for external assets it can't find, that'd be why). Please include more details on that.
Second, code of this size pasted into the forum really doesn't help. You'll need to do the work to isolate exactly what part of the code you're seeing this white box appear. Run it in a debugger line by line until you witnesss it turn white and only share that small portion of code. And if you do choose to share a ton of code, please use a site like pastebin.com which will retain formatting and color coding, making it much easier to read, and then share that pastebin link.

Slow Response when right click - properties on Computer

Within any collection, I browse to see all the systems present (all systems collection). I right click and the menu displays. I select Properties.
It will take 40 to 45 seconds consistantly to display the properties.   I have no right click tools installed. Runs the same time if I run the console on a primary or on another server. Its the same if I select a different collection.
The enviroment is very new CM12 R2 CU2.
Not even sure where to start?
Any suggestions?

Why won't Safari open a web page when I click on it using Windows XP?

I prefer to use Safari as my primary browser for my Windows XP laptop. Recently, there has been no response when I click on the browser. When I click on it, it opens up fine, but it does not pull the Apple Home Page, or any other web pages. It seems to be lag, but nothing happens even after refreshing the browser, clearing the cache and history, resetting it, repairing it, and even removing and reinstalling it. I have deleted any third party applications that may be affecting it, and I downloaded and installed the most current version of Safari. I can surf the web fine with other browsers. I do not get any error messages, it just stays in "thinking mode". I've even tried using it in Safari's safe mode, only to have the same results.
I've checked for viruses and malware -- none found, and my Internet Security (Kaspersky) is up-to-date, and has never been an issue before. A system restore did not even fix the problem. I've run out of options, and was recommended by Apple to join this community for further assitance, and hopefully a resolution.

Create a new Windows User account with full administrative rights. Log out of your usual account and log into the new account. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.)
Try launching Safari in the new account. Does it launch there, or do you get the same sort of behavior as in the usual account?
I did exactly that, and the same thing happened, only this time, the toolbar was missing (File, Edit, View, etc. options). The URL still showed up, but still stuck in "thinking mode." Same thing happened when I tried a search in the search bar.
This is not how I intented to spend my Thanksgiving!

BEx Broadcaster configuration - maximum number of cells in result set

I've got an error message when runnig a BEx Broadcaster setting to send query output as xls file.
Query was running, but empty xls sheet was sent.
Message was: result set to large (1.5 Mio cells); data retrieval restricted by configuration (maximum 1 Mio cells).
How can this configuration be changed to enable 1.5 Mio cells ?

This is excel restriction for maximum of 1million cells. If you split the query with smaller results set lesser than 1 million cells, this error will not come.

BEx broadcaster error NF_ADR

Dear community,
does anyone have an idea what is wrong when i get the following error when i execute BEx broadcaster to send me a report via email:
"Error of type NF_ADR occurred sending document DUMMY.mht "
The steps i took to get to this error:
ran Bex broadcaster from query designer, used the wizzard to setup broadcasting, save the settings, and hit execute, then i get this in a separate window.

Most likely the email addresses that are maintained in the settings are incorrect. They do not exist or the is a spelling mistake or the convention is wrong i.e missing '@' symbol or has ',' instead of '.'
This is particularly common in bursting where it is not immediately obvious that the email address is wrong so in this case check the email addresses maintained in the master data of the characteristic.

When I go to MSN home, I sign in, go to Hotmail account and can get to my inbox, etc. However, when I click on a message I get no response; nor do I get a response when I click on another folder; or, when I check a message and try to move or delete it, I get no response. I recently switched computers (from a Mac G3 to Mac G4, same OS 10.3.9) but that doesn't seem to be the problem as I have been able to retrieve other sites and data as before.

Although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. As for your issues, let's see if the sites aren't simply having problems with such an old version of Firefox.

Error Message when I click on "Roles" Tab in BeX Portal New Analysis.

When I go to the BeX Portal -> BeX Web Analyzer -> New Analysis -> Roles, I get the following error:
"Components XXX (version A) do not exist on the database
Components XXX (version D) do not exist on the database
Components XXX (version M) do not exist on the database"
When I click on the messages, the screen that comes up gives the following info:
"Diagnosis
You have attempted to open query XXX from the Query Designer. However, this query does not exist in the database in the system to which you have made a connection.
System Response
Opening the query was terminated.
Procedure
Make sure that you have connected to the correct BW system. Note: The query may have been deleted by another user."
But there have been no query deletions after the Role tab moved in.
Please suggest what could be the reason behind this. And what should be done to resolve this.

Try using table RSZELTDIR
This contains details on queies and all elements that make up the query such as variable, key figs etc..
In the error you should be getting a string someting like: D19UMFAK5JTYJ31B30BRGSQEU
In this table I would recomend just taking the first 8 or so cahracters of this string followed by *
ie: D19UMFAK* - in the ID selection field.

Bex Broadcaster can't click past OK in variable assignement

Hi All,
Form the portal Broadcast settings in general precalculation settings when I try to change variable values selection from that actual screen I can't click past ok after selecting the variable.
we are BW 7.02 and on IE8
from reading some posts on SDN i have already tried and I have turned of SmartScreen Filter off/ Phising filter off and also looked at note
1498753 - Variable screen not closed in Bex Broadcaster, but this has not resolved our issue.
has anyone else faced a similar issue

Thank you for your suggestion. I want to make sure I understand you correctly so I have a few questions.
Is this transparent table that you are using in your BW system or in your ECC system? Our BW and ECC systems are on different machines using different databases. Do you load the data from this table into your BW system for this to work? I think I understand that you are creating a way to create the missing master data so the BEX 7 query does not give the error message allowing the user to input their range of values.
If I understand you correctly I would create my Z table in our ECC system with the fields you mentioned, create a DSO or something simple in our BW system and load the data each time a user wants to use a new range of values for the field so that the field's master data would exist.
Am I understanding you correctly?
I don't think this solution, if I am understanding it correctly, will work for us because I don't think I can just add new Vendor Numbers like you were able to do with a date field. The Vendor is tied to a lot of other things, master data, ...

Alerts to email when Bex Broadcaster Failed

Hi Experts,
Currently we are broadcasting Business KPI reports to the users from SAP BI at a scheduled time.
These broadcast settings are based on webtemplate. Some times the broadcast setting which is scheduled will fail due to the most frequest errors like " Error while generating HTML" etc.
The issue is only temporary basis, next time the same error will not come and the issue is not reproducable.So is there a way we can configure the alerts to emails when the bex broadcast setting is failed.
Transaction to see logs of broadcast settings is RSRD_LOG.

3 possible solutions that come to mind:
1. Write custom ABAP program that checks RSR_PREC_SETT table and sends email when report failed entry is made, and schedule program to run periodically
2. Create process chain that kick off Broadcaster report and would also notify if report has failed.
3. You can also schedule RSR_PREC_SETTINGS_RESTART with Current date variant to run periodically and this job will restart any failed broadcaster reports from that day (stored in table RSR_PREC_SETT)
