No ringing or tones on new 5C

When my phone rings, there is no ringtone.  There actually is no sound on the phone for any applications.  I can play the ringtones in settings, but when I choose one, the phone only vibrates when I receive a call or text.  Argh!!  I am sure it is a simple thing to fix, but I have tried everything in settings.  Please help me get my fun new ringtones going!

Check to see if the mute switch on the left side of the phone (left of the + and - volume control buttons) is in the UP position. If you see it in the down with RED above it, you're in mute mode.

  • How do you get your ring/text tones that were purchased back on your phone

how do you get your ring/text tones that were purchased back on your phone

    Hey there oops31,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to know how to get tones that you’ve previously purchased on your iPhone 4s. The article linked below outlines the options for downloading past purchases and includes information about syncing tones from iTunes to your iOS device.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
    Audiobooks, ringtones, and tones
If you made a backup of these items on your Mac or PC, you can sync the items to your iOS device. You can't download these items again from iTunes in the Cloud.
    Cheers,
    -Jason

  • How do i install ring back tone on my i phone 5s

can some one help me get ring back tones on my i phone 5s

IF these were iTunes ring tones and you could not get them back, there was a back in the iOS 8 upgrade. This is restored in iOS 8.1.2. If you have not upgraded yet to 8.1.2 you should do that.

    uccx 10.x

    Thank you

Can you try changing theg Service Parameter"Send H225 User Info Msg" parameter and set it to "Use ANN for ringback" and see if it helps pls?
Also make sure you have Annunciators registered and available in the MRGL assigned to H.323 Gateway.
It is clusterwide parameter and hence applies to all node in the cluster.

  • No Ring Back Tone after receiving 180/183(SDP) wo RTP

    Hi,
I would like to ask how CUCM decides about which Ring Back Tone (Remote/Local/nothing) should be played?
There is a problem wisth 180/183 Message with SDP but without RTP. When CUCM receives that message, no Ring Back Tone is played. (CUCM 8.6 was used)
    What's more:
    1. When Ipphone receives 183(SDP) - remote device is sending RTP stream and later ipphone receives 180 (no SDP) -> Ipphone does not switch to play local RBT.
    2. But when Ipphone receives 180(no SDP) and later Ipphone receives 183 (SDP) with RTP -> IPphone switches to play remote RBT.
    Thanks for any help.
    Marta

What is the PBX? Check if the PBX and version is on the Microsoft Interoperability Program (Supported or Qualified): http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn788945 If listed,
there should be configuration notes or a deployment document.
If not listed, you might need to deploy a gateway between Lync and the PBX to resolve any interop issues.

  • LOST Default Alert/Ringing/Alarm Tones in Z3 Compact after update in Android 5.1.1

LOST Default Alert/Ringing/Alarm Tones in Z3 Compact after update in Android 5.1.1
I discovered it when I tried to change my Alert Tone, I can no longer find the list of available Alert Tones. When I click on Settings --> Sound & notification --> Notification Sound --> File Commander app --> Music
The Xperia Tones are not there only the App Tones and other sound/music.
I tried changing my Notification Sound in Safe Mode (Hold power off then reboot to safe mode) still the default sounds are not there (I did this to disable installed apps that might be the reason why I cannot see it)
Anyway, this is not a critical issue I just want to know if I'm the only one experience thia after the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. I also want Xperia Team to notice/check this issue.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Tones may have changed from what you were use to in previous versions (Just checked and they are different) However if you prefer the old ones then XDA has them here (Click on the Blue Download now not the Orange Download bar)

  • 18 sec silent between dialing digits and ring back tone

We have VoIP setup that connect branch offices through the head office PBX .(calls cross the E1 link twice that connect 3662 & PBX).
When call progress between two 1751 2V, there is a 18 second silent between dialing digits and getting ring back tone.
This seems not to be happened between 1750 2v.
Can anybody give me a suggestion to decrease this delay or add some tone to this silent period?

  • No tone for new SMS

I can't get my iPhone to 'ring' when I receive a new text message (SMS).
The settings are correct in 'Options/Sounds' and I have tried different ringtones with no improvement.
I have the original iPhone with version 3 software loaded.
    Any ideas?

You have two options as I see it - if you are feeling adventurous - change your tone
If not - then keep the one you have
Ultimately your choice - as you well know
We can try and support you no matter how it turns out

  • Can only hear the phone ring - no tones for alerts

I own a 4S and recently the only sound that seems to work is the ringer and Siri. All the tones for alerts will not play through the speaker. I have tested them using headphones and I can here them fine. I have checked the volume and it appears to be fine. I have read aobut the possibility that my headphone jack is messed up but when I go to turn up the volume without the headphone it dones not indicate that headphones are plugged in.
I have reset the unit and still am having issues.

Omy... When you initially start setup a phone after resetting it, it will ask you if you want to set it up as a new phone or use one of the user profiles from the saved backups. If I am using the wrong verbage, excuse me. Again, the phone is NOT jail broken, so please allow this to serve as one less conspiracy theory you may have in your mind. It is currently on ios 6.1.3. No frills, no spills. Nothing up my sleeves.
I am trying to fix my daughters phone for her and am looking for some friendly assistance. If you can't help me, thank you for your time and I hope some one else will gladly assist me.
