No ringtone tab while syncing iphone 4s

how do I add ringtone tab to my itunes while my iphone 4s is synced. I have a ringtone tab in my libary but for some reasonI dont have it in top of the itunes when i sync my 4s. help i tried everything possible .

Have you received any resolution on this? I've been having the same problem for some time and it was working intermittently, no not at all. NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

You're off the hook, Apple, and my apologies for stating that you let a dog run loose. You skated by this time, Apple. But I'm watching you.
But again, Putaro's reference to the plugins I had installed over the years turned out to illuminate the problem. I have several plugins in my iTunes plugins folder, pretty much all designed to add more visualizer functionality. I removed all of them, and ALL of the problems I noted in my post went away, with full iTunes functionality restored.
I began adding the plugins back to hopefully single out the culprit. Among the ones I had been using included fielder, G-Force, Timestrech, volcanokit, QuartzComposer, and Jax. I hadn't used any of them in a while - probably at least a verison or more back in iTunes updates, but iTunes continued to work with all of them installed. Currently, only QuartzComposer continues to work in iTunes 10.4. The rest no longer even show up as visualizer opitons, with one exception. Jax does show up, but does not work. AND THE PRESENCE OF JAX IS WHAT KILLED MY ITUNES.
I looked into it and went back to the developer, and it appears that they discontinued developing Jax some time ago - evidently, it was buggy and crash prone. I remember after buying it, having problems with it - having never worked to its touted potential, but I didn't pursue it, and never uninstalled it. Leaving it in there caused all iTunes functionality to cease with the iTunes 10.4 update.
If you've got Jax installed, consider removing it before updating to iTunes 10.4.
My iTunes is now working right as rain, thanks again to Putaro!

I just upgraded to iTunes 11.0.1 and although my music, podcast and apps sync with my iPhone 3GS (Version 4.1), iCal and Address Book doesn't! I get the following error messages:

Until the upgrade, I had no problems syncing my iPhone 3GS with iTunes!

for purchases from the iTunes store do this:
connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.

Problem while sync iphone: some contact disappear

Good morning at all,
i have a problem while syncing my iphone with itunes. Itunes is the last release and iphone have the 6.1.2. Last week i connect the iphone to the Mac and, with suprise, i found that some of my new contacs added to my iphone is disappeared! I'm sure i added the only and for the first time to the Iphone and i didn't remove them neither intentionally nor accidentally. Now i disabled autosync to avoid the problem, but someone can help me to solve this? There is some way to recover lost contacs?
Using icloud is not an option because i often go in areas where 3G is missing and i found that icloud messing up a little with this situation.

If you want to erase everything on the old phone, go to Settings > General > Reset. You'll see an option to erase everything off the phone.

Time out error while syncing Iphone on Vista

My Problem:
- PC running Vista Home Premium and latest Itunes (8.2.1.6)
- Syncing with Ipod Nano (4. gen) works without problems
While Syncing my new IPhone 3gs Itunes properly creates a backup and syncs apps and music bought/installed on the Iphone with the PC but fails to copy Music and Podcasts from the PC to the Iphone.
Error message (in german) declares "Sync failed due to devoce timeout" and afterwards "Sync failed due to media could not be found" (No error code no.).
I tried sofar:
- de- and reinstalling Itunes, Quicktime and Apple updater
- reset of the Iphone
- reinstalling Iphone OS via Itunes (this only worked on a different computer and failed on mine, also due to timeout)
Similar problems have been reported by other users in independent germas user forums.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

I have the same problem, OS is Windows Vista Ultimate Edition 64 bit, iTunes 8.2.1.6 64 bit version.
Brand new iPhone 3G S 32 GB, attempted sync, managed about 140 files then got the same message as reported above. Once it fails, it wont work again until I reboot, then I might be able to sync 20-30 songs, then it fails again. I'm adding a few files at a time to the sync to try and do it in bits, but it seems to gradually be getting worse, now I cant even get 10 tracks to sync.
This is my first ever Apple product and I have to say, not impressed so far :0(

I accidentally quit iphone while updating iphone software. I restarted the iphone and it give me a picture suggesting I plug it into a USB port. NOw itunes gives me the option to restore my iphone. Does this mean I will permanently loose all my media? Can I restore all that stuff from my computer backup after I restore?

While syncing iPhone 4 (after OS 5 update) to itunes, I get the following message; syncing genius data to "my phone" (step 7 of 7) waiting for data to copy. problem is it just sits there. anyone else?

"The Genius Data is a feature that can recommend apps, music and such, based on what you already have. The data is minuscule and not a size worth worrying about. It just updates to your iOS 5 device to carry over any new info on recent stuff you may have added."

"itune is stop working, please close itune"
this message appears when itunes is "BACKING UP" the data.
please help me. i have change three cables also but still issue

I changed my iTunes account email address and Apple ID Sign-in. My iPhone and iPad 3 keeps bring up my old email address when I go to download any updates to any of the apps on the phone/pad and from there I am unable to log into my Apple ID. When I enter the settings on the devices to view "iTunes & Apps Stores" and then select "View Apple ID" I am once again unable to access with existing password which did not change in iTunes.

ITunes keeps freezing while syncing iPhone 4s

Hi all,
This is an issue which seemingly came out of nowhere... sometime early-mid June, my iTunes stopped working with my Iphone 4s. This has been plaguing me since, and no matter what I have tried, nothing seems to be working. I have been reading through all sorts of related threads, but nothing seems to be working. iTunes has no problems recognizing the iPhone, whether over wireless or wired. When I attempt to sync my phone via wifi, it prompts me saying the session failed to start because the iPhone can not be found, or it simply disappears from the left bar. While trying to sync the phone via USB, the sync session starts as normal, backs up with no issue, transfers app purchases, etc, and proceeds to the final stages to update the music on my phone (sometimes Step 5, sometimes Step 6, and sometimes Step 7).
EVERYTIME without fail since the issue started, iTunes will completely freeze and render itself unresponsive. During the music sync, it may sync as many as 300 songs before freezing, or as few as 2. The spinning arrows indicating it is syncing stop rotating, and there is no functionality with iTunes and I am forced to start the Task Manager and End Program, or more often than not, completely reboot my computer.
I have tried multiple solutions presented in various threads, to no avail. I have tried restoring my phone, which gave me the most hope during the process, but sure enough, on the final step and syncing music, it froze at song 271 of 600.
Can someone PLEASE provide some insight into this issue? I know plenty of other people have experienced this, I am hoping to solve this soon as I am sure you can all understand it is EXTREMELY frustrating.
As a side note, I have plugged my iPad 2 in (also running iOS 5.1.1), and it worked fine!?

Unknown error (-50) while syncing iPhone 3G

I updated my iPhone to 2.01 and started getting the message: "iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)." So then the 2.1 came out and it worked once but I dropped the phone and broke the glass. After getting a new phone, I restored everything from backup and now I am getting the same message. Because my iTunes library is getting so large, I have it on a separate drive so that my internal HD has some space to breath. Does this have anything to do with it or is it something else? I have reset the phone, restarted the computer and restored it again from iTunes. Any help would be appreciated.

Help?? Deleted all my contacts while syncing iphone 4 to macbook

Is there anyway to retrieve contacts and information on 'notes'? I was syncing my phone and accidently hit restore to backup phone of my mother's phone which for some reason had been saved when I had downloaded pics from her phone a couple years ago. Now all of my contacts have been deleted along with notes under 'notes' icon for my mother's contacts and her notes:(

Spinning wheel in Photos tab when syncing iPhone or iPad with iTunes

I can't be certain when this started, but when I attempt to sync both my iPad and iPhone photos through iTunes, I'm not presented with any options, just a spinning wheel that never finishes loading. I've looked in multiple discussions with similar problems but none of the solutions seem to help. So far, I've tried:
Different USB cable.
Creating new "dummy" libraries in both Aperture and iPhoto (local disks, not on network disks).
Rebooting
Restarting devices
Permissions repair
Repairing permissions in the Aperture library
Rebulidng the iPhoto database.
Deleting the iPod Photo Cache inside the Aperture library (which doesn't seem to get rebuilt)
Updating the software.I was using 10.9.2 and 11.1.5 iTunes, but upgrading using the Mavericks public beta hoping that would fix it. It did not.
In iTunes, going to File-->Home Sharing-->Choose Photos to share with AppleTV brings up the same spinning wheel.
Deleting all kinds of preferences, com.apple.itunes, etc.
Oddly enough, my wife's user account which has its own iPad and iPhone synced with its own iPhoto library is doing the exact same thing.
I've spent hours on this and have no idea what else to do. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Itunes freezing while syncing Iphone

Hi guys,
My problem right now is that as soon as I connect my Iphone 3G to my PC, it tries to to sync with itunes but freezes itunes after 10 seconds. then i have to quit itunes with taskmanager in order to shut it down. Additionally, on my iphone, i cannot access the "ipod" function anymore, there is just a white screen and it goes back to the home screen. So there is like a sync problem with the music and stuff, I guess... but unfortunately, as soon as I try to sync with itunes, it freezes.
