No "Roles" toolbar on the left of Save Dialog in BEx Analyzer

Hi,
the "Roles" toolbar is not shown when I tried to save a workbook. I have the role which was assigned to this workbook. How could this happen?

1.Goto SU01 Tcode and give your user name
2. Goto profiles tab and double click on the profiles assigned to you
3. Expand the directory and check whether you have assigned S_TCODE & S_RS_COMP objects to your user name.
Also you can run a trace in RSECADMIN to find out the missing authorization objects. If you have any difficulities then you can take the help of the basis team member.

You should be able to move the Bookmarks Menu button to the left end side of the Bookmarks Toolbar ot to another toolbar while the customize window is open.
*Firefox menu button > Options > Toolbar Layout

What is the icon in the toolbar to the left of the Bluetooth icon?th

There appears to be a new icon in the toolbar on my iPad. It is located to the left of the bluetooth icon. It appears to be a padlock within a clockwise-oriented arrow. Anyone know what this represents? Thx

Screen Orientation lock you can remove that by using the button next to the volume.

I would like to move all toolbars to the left side of the window. My monitor is really wide so that would give me more "real estate."

Move filter and settings in WD ALV toolbar to the left ?

Hello WD abap experts,
The WD ALV has one big disadvantage: When you have many columns, the alv table is very wide and if you then want to set the filter or change settings, you have to scroll all the way to the right to click filter or settings, then scroll back all the way to the left to change the settings.
I wonder if I could change the layout of the toolbar in a way that the filter and settings links appear first on the left, (before the view dropdwon) instead on the right.
Has anybody done this ? I cannot find the view in SE80, probably it is generated dynamically ?

Check the cl_Salv_wd_config_table for the standard functions settings. I guess there is no option to move them left.
if_Salv_wd_standard_function or filter setting ones...check them out..

CS5 slow to get the 'open' and 'save' dialog box over networked computer.

I have been having this problem since the suite was installed, but recently has gotten much slower. Any time I click open or save it takes 8-10 seconds just for the dialog box to come up. CS1 was lightening fast - I know that was ages ago, but I can't help compare the two. I have the same problem with InDesign and Illustrator. The suite is running on a Windows 7 machine through a home network, accessing files from an XP machine as well as a Buffalo Linkstation. Once the dialog box comes up, and I double click, the file is pretty quick to appear. I have researched online and I believe the problem to be somewhere in the network or the settings. The network is quick, Windows Explorer has no delay in opening or finding files, nor do other programs outside of Creative Suite. I did an experiment to narrow down the problem - I closed Photoshop, unplugged the network cable, and reopened the program. AMAZING - it was SO FAST to open the dialog box for both opening and saving files! I then closed Photoshop again, plugged the network cable back in, and opened Photoshop. It was back to the slow opening of the dialog box. Everything else in the programs runs fine - no delay when performing operations in any of the Creative Suite - it has to do with the network and how CS is looking for the files. Can anyone help me, I am so frustrated - this is adding unnecessary time to everything I do and I dread opening and saving any files!!

We used to have a network storage device attached to our home network, but it crashed and we replaced it with another model. A while back I had added it as an item to display in the places bar. When we removed it from the network, the link on the left side disapeared, so I forgot all about it. When I read your posting it jogged my memory. I searched the subject to remember how I had made the change and found this posting from Adobe Community: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/795196 (its in #6). I found the original storage device in the places bar, removed it and replaced it with the new device. I opened Photoshop and Acrobat and both open and save dialog boxes appear as they should - the problem has been resolved! THANK YOU!

How to force the Netscape Browser to open the "Open or Save" dialog box?

Hi, I tried to force the browser to open the "Open or Save" dailog box for downloading a file.

This works fine with IE for all file types( Even though he prompts twice to Open the file directly). but Netscape opens the file directly in the browser with showing any dialog box for text and html files. Anyone knows how to force the netscape in this case or for any file type? Any help will be appreciated.

when your trying to open a pdf file as attachment is seperate window, it works well in IE but in netscape it opens up in the same browser, it doesnt open a seperate window

Max number of entries in the variable input list (F4) of Bex Analyzer Query

Dear BW experts,
When I run the Bex Analyzer query, it pops up the variable input screen.
If I don't know the specific value of the variable, then I can click on the input help (F4) to get a list of available values. There is a max number of entries coming back to the list. For my BW system, it is currently returning 500 values. For other people and SAP Help document, it could be 1000.
My question is: Do you know where we can configure/set this max value? Is it a global setting?

Thanks for both of your answers. I think the answers that you provided are for BW 7.X version.
It is flexible and exactly the way it should be for each user to customize a specific variable.
I am running BW 3.5 query, and don't see the "Settings" option/button after I got the list of single values back.
Is there a way to set this up for BW 3.5 query Analyzer? My max value is always 500 for all variables. Is there a place for setting this value and save for the next time.
Any help from any BW experts is appreciated.

i am using ready input query on aggregation level.
copy and delete functions are working fine
i have actual and plan cube
i restricted sales doc num
i copied values from one sales doc to another sales doc values to plan cube , so its working fine
now my questions is
at present due to copy function for sales doc num 4692 i am geting net value 11000 rs
i am trying to chnage value like 12000 and want save button and transfer, when i click save and transfer at bex analyzer its getting 11000 values only evevn plan cube also i am not getting any new values?
please let me know

Hi,
It is probably because you are not at the lowest level of you aggregation level. The input ready query needs to be that, otherwise you will not be able to change any values in your input ready query. I.e. the characteristics in your aggregation level will either have to be in the rows/columns of your input ready query or they will have to be restricted to a single value. Once you've done that, the changes you make, e.g. 11.000 -> 12.000 will be transferred and saved.

Different in viewing the query in query designer and bex analyzer in BW Prd

hello...i transported the query from bw dev into bw prod successfully. when i view the query using query designer in prod, the query is the same copy of query in bw dev and QA but when i view the same query under the bex analyzer in prod, the query is not the same.
the correct query should be able to see 3 mandatory variable input but when i view it under the bex analyzer, only 1 mandatory variable can be seen here. Whereas when i view it under query designer, i can see the 3 mandatory variable being define there. And this query is assigned in one of the role as well.
any idea on this? thanks!!!

i checked in rsrt in sap, the personalization of the variable is not in yellow color, i can see the 3 variable in bex analyzer but the other 2 variable which is a mandatory field input for that query appear as optional variable input instead of the mandatory field input...

How do you get the toolbar on the left to re-appear?

All of a sudden it disappeared. I have tried the tab button and also have done a re-install but the toolbat is still not there. Thanks for any insight.

How do I bring back the open or save dialog box?

In the past when I would open an attachment I could choose open (by hitting OK) or select a radio button for save. I accidentally hit the check box for "do this on every file" then selected save - now every single time I try to open a document it goes straight to the browser task bar download arrow and I have to select the arrow, then select the file to open it. This is a pain. How do I get it back the way it once was? I have even updated Adobe and unintalled/reinstalled with no resolve. (Browsers: Firefox, Windows 7 I think)

Restore point had no resolve.
Also, though it may be a browser issue, it is not contained only to my email. This issue occurs even with opening PDF files not connected to my email. Any other suggestions? Any way to reset this in Adobe or in Firefox?

The "Recently Used" entry in the file open/save dialog

The file selection dialog (eg: save/open/etc) on gtk applications has a "Recently Used" option:
Over size imaged reduced to link
This has generally not shown any options for me (for some reason, firefox suddenly showed a single entry this time).
I find no use for it either, so rather than having it list recent entries I'd like this option gone (or at least stop being the default!), and the last-used (or maybe just my home) being shown by default.
Any hints on how to disable this? What about the "Search" option just above it (equally non-working, and equally undesired by myself).

No, I'm not using gnome. And this was actually the first time I saw this dialog non-empty. However, it's not related to gtk2 or gtk3: I see the same behaviour on gtk3 apps.
I all honesty though, I don't care about recently used being populated because I anticipate having the same results you've just described.

Thanks, I'm aware of this, but this merely covers the firefox download option (firefox seems to actually remember the last used), not all gtk apps in general.

JScrollPane: Can the Vertical Scroll Bar go on the left?

Im using a JScrollPane within another one, i.e, I have a component inside a JScrollPane, and one of its components is a JScrollPane. This is fine and dandy, but the internal scrolled component gets pretty tall and wide, so people end up using the OUTER horizontal scroll bar to scroll to the INNER vertical scrollbar to scroll DOWN the inner component.
What would be really nice would be to have the INNER scrolled component to have its scroll bar on the LEFT to save the above hassle.
Is this possible with JScrolledPane?
