No Safari Extension?

Hi,
Does anybody know if its possible to see Safari Extension in the Mac App Store?
How else will I know whats available?
Thanks.

Safari Extensions can be found by choosing "Safari Extensions Gallery" under the Safari menu (the one just to the right of the Apple menu). I doubt they'll be available through the Mac App Store since extensions are not standalone applications.
Regards.

  • My Safari Extensions preference page is blank. How do I resolve it? (Safari 5.1.2 on Lion 10.7.2)

I found my extensions window blank back when I used Snow Leopard. I thought Lion and new updates will eventually solve it. But it is still there. I tried everything I can. I tried downloading Safari 5.1.2 and reinstalling it. It didn't work. Then I uninstaled safari using CleanMyMac and then tried installing it from scratch. It didn't work. When I googled I found that deleting some plist file resolves the problem on some older version of Safari. But I cannot locate that plist file on Lion. How can I get back my extensions preference page?

    Delete the following items:
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL
    /Library/LaunchAgents/net.culater.SIMBL.Agent.plist
    /Library/ScriptingAdditions/SIMBL.osax
Log out and log back in.
Make sure you never reinstall SIMBL, as it’s one of the worst articles of crapware on the Mac platform. It’s likely to come bundled with some other modfication that depends on it. If you want trouble-free computing, avoid software that makes miraculous changes to other software, especially built-in applications. The only real exception to that rule is Safari extensions, which are mostly safe, and are easy to get rid of when they don’t work. SIMBL and its dependents are not Safari extensions.

  • Error while trying to install safari extensions on Macbook Pro Retina

    Dear All,
Yesterday I had to re-install Mountain Lion OS on MacBook Pro Retina. Everything went smoothly however after the installation process and updating sytem to the newest possible version, I am not able to install any Safari extensions. I was trying to find any information in the internet about this but so far I am unsuccessful in solving this issue. I am currently running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.1. I would be grateful for any help.
    Best Regards,
    Jan

    Back up all data now.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
    sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

  • New york times updates - safari extension - not refreshing

New York Times Updates Safari Extension seems to have stopped updating it's info. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, but it only added a couple of items from several days ago. Is this feed no longer viable? The version on the Safari extensions web site is 0.1, the same as always.

Try emptying the Safari cache more often.
You can do this from the Safari menu bar, click Safari / Empty Cache or Command + Option + E on your keyboard.
If emptying the cache didn't make a difference, go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari.
Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
    Restart your computer.

  • Cannot Install Safari Extensions

    Greetings,
Trying to install an extension on my Safari Version 8.0 (10600.1.25.1)
An extension installed successfully, but after Safari restart its all gone.
Does not matter which extension and how many,
After install I can see extensions in Safari Preferences window, but not after a restart.
I can see newly installed extensions in ~/Library/Safari/Extensions/ folder, the folder has correct permissions and owner.
Even though there are extensions in ~/Library/Safari/Extensions/ , Safari does not "sees" it after a restart.
It seems like this problem is specific to my PC, as I have checked it with other people - they don't experience it.
    Please help !

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to search for an item named "Safari Extensions List". If found, delete it. Quit Keychain Access.
    Quit and relaunch Safari.

  • Safari extensions not in color

My Safari browser, toolbar and all icons are grey.  Does anyone know if you can install the Safari Extensions someway in which they appear in color ?  ie;  The Weather Channel, Pinterest, Evernote, etc.
I've seen other browsers/toolbars where the icons were in color, making it easier to find each of the icons when needed.
Thanks in advance for any useful advice and/or solutions.

If you want to change the color, use Download Firefox
Always good to have a backup browser installed in case you have problems with Safari and can't connect to the internt for help.

  • Is there a Safari extension (or plug-in) for Acrobat Pro?

Is there a Safari extension (or plug-in) for Acrobat Pro? I use to have one, then when I updated to the new Yosemite operating system, it disappeared.

For Acrobat Pro? I don't really understand. You don't typically *edit* PDFs in a browser.
Note that Acrobat Reader is totally unnecessary on OS X. I'd recommend avoiding it. If you are creating PDFs, or doing advanced features that make it worth spending hundreds of dollars, then Acrobat Pro may make sense, but otherwise, just use Preview.

  • I can't download from the Safari Extensions gallery

    Hi,
*I can't see any download/install buttons in the Apple Safari Extensions page.* I just uninstalled ALL my extensions trying to troubleshoot this and now I can't get them back.
I know there are at least two other issues like this but they're both unanswered and I honestly can't follow how some people claim to have been able to fix it.
Please help! I won't have any choice but to switch to Chrome if I don't get this fixed.
    Thanks,
    Carlos

    Hi,
Open a Fiinder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Now open the Library folder then the Safari folder then the Extensions folder.
If any of the extensions you have installed are in that folder, move them to the Desktop.
Quit Safari (Command + Q) then relaunch Safari and try the gallery.
If that didn't help, go back to the Extension folder and move the Extensions.plist file to the Trash.
    Relaunch Safaari, try agian.

  • Safari extensions not working

My Safari extensions have stopped working. I am running Safari 7.0.3 on OXS 10.9.2. One day I went on to the internet and my extensions still appear, but are not functioning (my antivirus toolbar is unusable as only half of it is appearing, and my add blocker appears but doesn't actually block apps). I'm not quite sure if this is an issue with my extensions, or Safari, so I thought I would find out if anyone else is having this issue.

May be there is an adware installed.

  • SAFARI EXTENSIONS NOT WORKING PROPERLY

I have two extensions: Trusteer and Lastpass which no longer appear to load automaically when Safari is launched. By choosing "Safari extensions ..." they load but do not always behave as they should [incorrectly formatted loging dropdown for Lastpass, failure to respons in the case of Trusteer when loading a protected website]

  • How to recover the "GMail" Safari extension icon?

I seem to have lost the "GMail" Safari extension icon. This is the one with the plain "envelope" outline (NOT the "GMail Counter" one). It originally appeared as a selection in the Safari/View/Customize Toolbar window, but is now gone. And that particular extension does not appear in the "Safari/Safari Extensions..." option.
I thought I recalled that there is a way to delete Safari and then restart OSX to have it reinstalled, but I can't accomplish that it seems.
All advice appreciated for how to recover that "GMail" Safari extension.
    TIA

    UPDATE.
I found that Extension on my iMac running Lion. (Library/Safari/Extensions). Sent as an attachment to an email to myself and copied it to that location on my MBP.
    Problem solved.
Suggestion: Do NOT "Uninstall" Safari extensions from the Toolbar. Just do Safari/View/Customize Toolbar and simply Move the unwanted extension back to the Customize window.

  • How to completely uninstall all of Safari extension's remenents

I hated how in Safari when you first zoom in it's too small to read. So I'd zoom in and notice that when all other windows open you keep having to rezoom any addition windows that open since Safari doesn't keep the zoom level for all pages except the initial one that you zoom in. This gets to be a pain and can't understand why by now Apple hasn't addressed this issue.
So what I did is go to the Safari button in the left hand top of the screen and select extensions and believe it or not they have an extension that I installed that after being install called (Zoom All Screens) truely does keep the zoom level when you first log in and also when opening up all other windows does keep the zoom level.
Problem is when I went to my e-mail the whole page wasn't coming out so it works and it doesn't.
Other than uninstalling this extension which will uninstall from pressing the (uninstall) button does Safari store remenants anywhere's else on the computer and where do I go to (COMPLETELY) remove all rememnants of this extension that I've uninstalled? Again I don't know if pressing the unintall button removes just the extensions and all other remenants of the extention or if the extension leaves remenants somewhere else on the computer or when uninstalling the extension removes the extension itself and (remenants of the extensions along with it completely or not).
Not sure whether it stores remenants of the unintalled extension anywheres else on the computer or not. Would like to have a solution on this and all replys will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Open a Finder window.
From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
    Type of copy paste:
    ~/Library/Safari/Extensions
    Click Go.
FYI, the uninstaller should do the trick for you.

  • Safari extension not allowing me to manually update, after telling me update is available.

hi , im running safari 6.0  & in my "Safari extensions prefrence window", there is an update available for one of my extensions.
i've chosen to have "Install updates Automatically" un-checked, for i wish to do this manually.
However when i click on "Install All Updates" nothing happens. Same with clicking on the "Install"  tab that is next to the
extension icon in the update window . Finally  when try checking "Install Update Automatically" that seems to start  the updating process (& completes)  but nothing is installed.  Anybody have the same problem?
New @ this, hope i'm being clear... & thanks in advance!

IMO, The last part of your post is very confusing due to a lack of properly placed punctuation. If I am understanding it correctly, yes you have to let the backup finish downloading everything g before you can update the device.

  • I downloaded from Safari Extension Gallery "Awesome Screenshot" then  remove it. No my Internet is not working, my Safari simply hangs

I downloaded from Safari Extension Gallery "awesome Screenshot" couple of days ago and then decided to remove it from the system . Since then the awesome icon does not appear But my Safari is suffering as it is not loading the pages. Please help

Try removing any other extensions and plugins and if that works introduce them one at a time, you may find it is one of those causing the problem.
If that does not work create a new post, this one being closed will gather less interest and someone who as an answer could miss it.

  • Safari Extension Submission

    Hi
I submitted a Safari extension at https://developer.apple.com/submission/safari/, and 3 months later still do not seen it on the "Safari Extension Gallery at http://extensions.apple.com/ nor have I received an notification as to its status.
Is there any procedure for determining the status of submissions and the submission pages do not provide any means of tracking this ???
