No Safety Spot Audio Warnings

I have just loaded map version 0.1.25.114 and the latest safety spot file to my E55 and the speed cameras are all there on the map but no warnings are given.
The safety spot warner is set to ON. Is there an audio file associated with safety spots and if so where is it located? Can anyone solve this one please.

Hello.
Please could someone tell me if there is a safety spot file for south african oiv maps.
Im trying to load the file, but cant seem to find it anywhere.
I have a nokia 5230, and I have updated my maps, but the folder is empty.

Safety spots on Maps 3.03?

Hello,
I have a Nokia 5530XM with Ovi Maps 3.03. Recently I bought an external bluetooth GPS receiver. I have already tested Ovi Maps navigation and it works fine. I'm considering using Ovi Maps instead of other GPS software.
But, I didn't see on Ovi Maps 3.03 the option to include safety spots (or safety cameras, or speed cameras). Is that possible? If it isn't, it's a shame, because almost every other navigation software have this option.
Despite of Ovi Maps being free, the lack of safety cameras warning can lead to speed tickets, which are by far more expensive then buying an alternate navigation software...there are many out there: Sygic, NDrive, etc.

In Finland OM 3.03 warns on speed cameras. I don't know, if that applies to all countries, probably not.

Safety Spot info in various countries

I wish to use Maps in at least 3 countries (Australia, France and UK)
I have ensured that I have the latest SW on the phone (6710 Navigator) and also the latest OVI suite. I am unable to obtain safety spot information for each country. After downloading the maps I have a file called 1.0.0.10.australia.cdt which gives me the cameras for Australia where I am now but no others. How can I get safety spot information loaded for the other countries?

Is the safety spot warner free?

Ive just activated the safety spot warner on my Nokia X6. I can see the speed cameras that are on my estate and others that im familiar with, but are they free as it says on Nokias FAQ that you need a "Traffic and Safety licence or subscription is required"
Is it only a trial or something that im using?

E55 - Speed camera warnings ?

My E55 has been up dated with the latest software and I downloaded the latest UK map yesterday, but there are no speed camera warnings.
Is this a bug or are they not available for the E55?
Safety Spot Warner is ON.
Just noticed the Safety Spot Warner folder is empty. What should be in there and how do I get it?

Also, should speed cam signs be visible on the map at all times or only on planed routes, as I have never seen them.

On both my 808s I have just realised the audio warnings have stopped totally.
There was a recent maps update. I did an update check and it said that the whole lot (3GB in my case) needed updating, so I did it. That was probably a bad idea, because it looks like the camera warning function has been deleted.

The fix does work! I can see the cameras as POIs in the Drive app.
The Maps app shows none of them, which is probably as intended as it doesn't offer speed cameras in the list of POIs to enable/disable, either.
This means that Nokia will not be updating the camera database, ever again. That's a pity - that was a huge part of the functionality of my phone, and I am sure many others (that drive a car a lot) will agree.
Presumably Nokia will be doing the same crude hack on their WP phones. What they don't realise is that the Maps functionality is a huge selling point for Nokia, without which a Nokia phone has very few attractions to the average user, over say an Iphone.

Just stick to the speed limit.
If everybody had done this there would never have been any speed cameras in the first place.

Out of sync audio markers

Why there are not out of sync audio warnings in final cut x?

Not sure this is the best place to ask questions about why 'features' are not in the application, but to give you a genral answer from the manual about what I assume you are pondering:
By default, Final Cut Pro imports audio and video from the same source into one clip. You can easily detach the audio from a video clip so that you can edit the audio clip separately in the Timeline.
This means that unless you detached the audio yourself, the clip is treated as one source. If you detach it, you are own your own.

Why can't I get safety/speed cameras for the X6?

I'm using Ovi Maps on my new X6 but don't understand why I can't get the ovi maps with safety cameras included.
Any ideas?

No clues as to your whereabouts in the world for starters so as to know if even available to you.
Say for example you have downloaded maps for UK to device, OVI Maps is set to "Online", Safety spot warner is set to "On" or "Only visual" then 1.0.032.europe.cdt should be downloaded to E:\CITIES\diskcache\safetyspots
Please note that icons are only visible whilst navigation but if you go to Drive > Map and pan around they can be visualized.

Speed Cameras

Trying to find a solution for my 5800x
after killing my phone trying to update firmware with win7, I took it to repair centre, they fixed me all up including firmwear version 40.xxx.xx.xx blah blah
got home, installed ovi suite to laptop with xp, conected up, downloaded and installed ovi 3.3, got to map downloads, downloaded various maps in UK map, out and about in car and have to say I'm quite pleased, only issue so far is it does not show speed camera location or warnings, while searching through the forum for answers I see some users have this installed, so where am I going wrong???

Hi Craiga,
You can do following things :
Make sure you have installed the newest firmware and OVI maps. Also download the Map Data for your country.
2. Check your area where where you are navigating. Because safety camera is not available in all countries. Here is the list I got from other threads:
Traffic info & Safety cameras: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom
Traffic info only: Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland
Safety cameras only: Andorra, Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania, Sweden
3. Go to Setting -> Navigation -> Safety Spot Warner : ON
4. Notice that Safety Spot Warner only show up WHILE in navigation mode. User could not see it on normal tracking mode.

System extension cannot be used --can anyone help ?

so i spotted that the system library as well as the home library had permissions blocked for the administrator, so i unlocked all enclosed items permissions.
i already had issues being brought to senior advisor attention over 1,5 years now, about hangs and freezes. mostly hangs.
no one so far has been able to fix them.
well now spotting these warnings, after i allowed all permissions inside both libraries, have warnings show up.
i gather these are not prepperly installed softwares, but i cant figure out what softwares they could be, so i can take care of it.
so 4 warnings shows up :

There isn't an "administrator" so who did you add and what permissions did you set.
In Get Info, they should be
system read & write
wheel read Only
everyone read only
The posix permissions, owner, and group should be
rwxr-xr-x root wheel
with ACE "group:everyone deny delete"
You may be able to recover by repairing permissions in Disk Utility, but you may have to reinstall the OS.

Nokia C7 duplicate CITIES on two memories?

I've just got a new C7 replacing a 5800XM, and I stuck with Nokia largely because of the free satnav which is very useful. On the 5800 the CITIES folder was on the memory card, and when I got the C7 I transferred the memory card too. Then I installed Maps onto the mass memory of the C7.
So now I have two CITIES folders. What should I do about this? Can I just delete the one on the old memory card or do I have to uninstall something? I think there may be some kind of conflict as I can't seem to access any safety camera data or update it.
Would it be safe to wipe the whole memory card? I don't have any apps installed, except for a stopwatch that I don't mind losing (I can find another on Ovi) and photos and music that is all on my computer anyway. Would wiping the memory card make Maps run better? And where do I get the safety camera info from?
I've posted the double memory query on the C-series board too. But I do need to know how to make the Maps app run efficiently!

By default your C7 will use E:\CITIES (mass memory) although if you open OVI Maps application > Spanner icon > Map > Memory to be used E: or F: (gives you the choice)
With reference to safetyspots provided that OVI maps application is set "Online" and you have enabled in "Spanner icon" > Navigation > Safety spot warner = On or Only visual when you select Drive 1.0.0.38.europe.cdt should be downloaded.
On N8 regional maps were supplied pre-installed on mass memory but don't know whether applies to your C7 but apparently not.
You can format memory card if you wish as OVI Maps can always recreate necessary folder structure if you select it as chosen memory as above.

Export as Quicktime Movie Question

I am trying to export from Premiere Pro CS4 a Quicktime Movie; the Media Encoder is only giving me the option of 720 X 480, my original source footage is 1440 X 1080...any thoughts?

Annoying alerts

How do I stop those very annoying text/audio warnings? i.e. Are you sure you want to restart your computer? Are you sure you want to leave this page? etc.

Then maybe it's this, which I've never bothered with before: System Preferences>Speech. Although no matter how I set it I can't get it to speak any alerts, e.g., Are you sure you want to restart....?

Inspector Bug? and question for Speed Users.

Two Part Question
I noticed after working with around 4 or 5 tracks containing 2 samplers and a few synths, the inspector fails to update when I press up or down to select different tracks in the arrange window. I have to click on the track name pull down arrow in the inspector to make it update to what track I have selected. Has anyone experienced this or can anyone help? I consider myself new to logic even though I have used it off and on for years. I just cant operate it as fluidly and quickly as protools, but I refuse to give up because I love making music with it.
My next question is making the playback always snap to last play position like pro tools default behavior. I use a key command but I'd like to press space bar twice to stop playback and play from same spot again. without using cycle points or a key command. yes I'm lazy and I want 1 less button to push I'm sorry. But I have finally accepted that it operates differently than pro tools and I embrace but this one function really gets to me. I actually don't understand why this isn't default being that when you're creating music and you stop. Doesn't that mean the next thing to do is listen to what you just did? Out of curiosity why is this pause function the default, a sound for film thing?

I have also experienced the inspector not linking or updating in response to track selection. Not alot, maybe twice since the update to L8. It's also not something I've ever discovered a reason or condition for.
Logic will absolutely snap to last play position and behave the way you want, but having the green locator bar engaged is the key. It's not something you have to futz with, you can just keep it engaged all the time if you like, move it to a new location as needed. You can just disregard the end point, make it something arbitrarily way longer than you need, and it's just your start point.
I'm not sure why you don't want to use the "cycle points" although I also migrated from PT and initially didn't grasp the green locator bar (or whatever it's called.) In L7 it was named and documented in such a way as to have you thinking it was for repeating or cycling things, but that's far from it's only purpose - for me it's not even a function I use. It's the start point, a way of aligning regions or notes very quickly, spotting audio to picture, defining the length of a bounce, tons of useful stuff.
