It says below error in adminators event viewer.....any ideas to revolve this...
"The SAPPRD_00 service was unable to log on as .\SAPServicePRD with the currently configured password due to the following error:
Logon failure: the specified account password has expired.
To ensure that the service is configured properly, use the Services snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."
"DCOM got error "The service did not start due to a logon failure. " attempting to start the service SAPPRD_00 with arguments "-Service" in order to run the server:
{EFC29CC0-A03C-11D0-A1F2-0000F62893CC}"
Please help me why no instances are showing up in my MMC

then give a new password , also go to services and change the password for these user ..
for this go to run enter service.msc and enter
then you will get a windown , there find service SAPPRD_00 double click and go to LOg on tab , check there you can see the user which you changed the password there , if you see , change the password there to new password you just changed. also check whether any other services runnign under that user , if yes changes the password

Instance Status Yellow on SAP MMC Console
Dear Experts,
We are installing NW 7.0 dialog instance on Windowsx64 bit platform, Central instance is running on Aix64 bit,
NW 7.0 Java add-in has installed on Central instance,
I want to start only abap instance on new windows application server, i set rdisp/j2ee_start parameter to "0",
Now java process do not start but SAP mmc console status is yellow because of it, disp+dowk process message is J2EE status info unavaliable,
How can unistall Java instance from newly instaled application server ?
Best RegardsHi,
Regarding the MMC display "J2EE status info unavailable", as you don't want a dual stack remove the entry icm/HTTP/j2ee_0 from the instance profile and set the parameter 'is/HTTP/default_root_hdl = abap'.
Please reboot your system (bounce OS) to see if this helps.
If this does not help please try this.
1. Stop the SAP service
2. Open a command prompt
3. Go to usr\sap\<SID>\...\exe\run
4. call 'sapstartsrv.exe -t' from the command line
5. Confirm the dialog window
6. Start the service again
Best Regards

Is this a local system (on Windows) or is this a remote system on Unix?

MMC hangs on Windows 2008 and SAP MMC console not coming up
Hi All,
We are running SAP CRM 7. After upgrading Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2, SAP is coming up on our J2ee engine. We are able to login to the SAP J2ee application, but SAP MMC hangs. After the reboot, SAP MMC does come up but it hangs while starting the SAP Server Processes. We have to close the MMC from CTRL-ALT-DEL (end process). After that SAP MMC does not come up. Although, we can number number of MMC.EXE running in task manager, but
the SAP MMC window is not displayed.
We have gone through OSS note Note 1326097 - SAP MMC Snap-In crash for certain operations and installed the new version of MMC. But still the error exists. Also, we have installed the VCREDLIST patch and have installed all the DLLs mentioned in OSS SS Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs.
Also, the event viewer shows the following message
Log Name: Application

Termination Time: 6
Application Path: C:\Windows\system32\mmc.exe

Also, we have upgraded the SAP Kernel to the latest patch level and installed MMC latest patch.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
AntarpreetHello,
Try to re-create (re-register) the SAP Services (SAP instance services) in services.msc list. Then try to put SAP MMC up.
Or, after recreation of sap instance services, try to reconfigure the sap mmc as well -

How to append SAP instance in SAP MMC
Hi,
We had two instances running in one host.
After a reboot one system is up and running and can be seen in MMC but the other instance niether starting nor appearing in MMC.
Can any one tell me how to append the instance in MMC with the existing up & running Instance?
Regads,
SourenHi,
In the properties widow select the fixed tab and add the hosttname and the instance number and then press ADD.
The SAP instance may not be listed in the MMC if the sapservices fails to start due to logon failure. Please check whether the services SAP<SID>_<Instance Number> has been started and if not please check whether the password for the user .\sapservice<SID> is valid.

Hi,
I am pursuing my abap certfication. Inorder to get more practise I have downloaded the minisap 70206. When I start the sap mmc console I am not able to get the list of instances and the services rendered. The console appears to be inactive and unresponsive.

Regards,
Deepak.MHello
Yes, Increase the virtual memory to 6 GB and install it again. make sure you delete every old SAP items from your system before you reinstall new one. Even you uninstall there will be some traces in registry key....
1)It is recommended to stop the Application Server before uninstallation.
Open sapinst.exe. Choose "Software Life Cycle Options" --> Uninstall --> Uninstall System.
Provide sapinst.exe with the file location of your system profile directory
Provide the credentials of system (and optional database) users.
Start uninstallation.
2) if the folded below exists, please delete the folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sap Shared
3) delete all other folders where the sapgui was installed
c:\program files\sap\
4) delete then all "SAP" entries in the windows registry in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDLLs
( Please ONLY the SAP entries )
Now you have a "clean" System.......

Cloning SAP instance on Windows
Hi - We have SAP on Windows server and our Database is on Unix. We want to make clone of this whole environment. From DB perspective it is easy - we can copy the database to another Unix Server. What do we have to do from Windows/SAP side?
Can we just copy the binaries to another Windows server or do we need to install SAP from scratch? From Windows/SAP perspective you can do it in two ways either running the SAP Inst or the folder copy option. As per me the folder copy option is easier than running SAP Inst. The steps is as follows.
1. Copy the //server1/<Drive>/usr/sap/<SID> folder to //server2/<Drive>/usr/sap/<SID>
2. Determine the new Instance Number.
3. Rename folder //server2/<Drive>/usr/sap/<SID>/DVBMGxx....where xx is the new Instance no.
4. Go to the profile directory and change the following entries.
a. Replace all entries of the old database server with new database server.
b. Replace all entries of the old SAP binaries server with new SAP binaries server.
c. Replace all old instance number to new Instance number (if old instance no is 00 then change all parameter which are ended with old instance no. i.e. _00)
5. Rename profile files as per new instance no.
6. Run program SAPSTARTSRV.EXE to setup new SAP Services and MMC.
Let me know if you have any concern.
Thanks,

Not able to start Instance in MMC
Hi,
I have installed SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 - Developer Edition which is a trial version on a windows xp pro virtual machine. I have installed NWDS 7.1 Composition Environment SP05 successfully.
I have installed Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 SDK.
The problem is that the two instances in MMC appears to be grey instead of green. That is why I am not able to deploy any web dynpro application. Does any body know that what steps I need to take after installing the developer edition? What about the SDM?
Earlier http://localhost:50000/ was displaying a web dynpro exception just after completion of installation of developer edition but now I am getting page cannot be displayed error.
Please help / guide. I need this envirnoment to be set up soon for practicing web dynpro.
Regards,
VaibhavHi Vaibhav,
You need to start server from MMC. Before starting please check following thing are correct or not.
- Update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file)
- Update JAVA_HOME system enviromental variable in my computer (My computer > Priperties >> Advance >> Startup and Recovery >> Enviromental Variable >> System Variables >> Add new JAVA_HOME parameter with path for installed Java JDK)
- Check database server services (Start > Run > Services.msc > Start your database services manually and change properties as automatic)
After that please try to start your SAP Server :- open MMC >> Right Click on Server Node >> Select All Task >> Start >> Enter your Desktop userid and password. It will take 20-40 min if you are starting first time.
Please check installation Guide : [Install & Configure SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 ehp1 |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b057d7e3-b89e-2b10-1e9e-c426e967f8e1]
Hope it helps

KumarHi,
1) Check the shares saploc and sapmnt is available in the system.
2) IF both the shares are there in the system try to start the system from the cmd.
format : STARTSAP.EXE name=<SID> nr=<SYSNR> SAPDIAHOST=<host>
Also try to add the nodes frum the mmc.(File->Add and remove snap in.select SAP Systems>enter the required values....
3)if it is not working check the librfc32.dll and librfc32u.dll files in the c:\windows\system32.
If it is not registered ,try to register it using regsvr32
Also please check whether 2 sapservices are available in services.msc

Problems to start SAP instance after reboot
Hello experts,
we are occuring a problem that we are not able to start our SAP instance after we applied some MS patches and rebooted the server. We also deinstalled these patches buzt this also did not help, so I guess the reason somewhere else.
We are running a SQL server 2000 on a Windows 2003 SP2 (32bit)
SAP kernel is 640 PL 304
The SQL server seems to operate normally, however when we try to start SAP via MMC the process disp+work fails (it's green for a few seconds, but then turn so grey).
In dev_w0 I can find this entry
C Mon Feb 22 12:35:18 2010
C OpenOledbConnection: line 23082. hr: 0x8000ffff [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
C sloledb.cpp [OpenOledbConnection,line 23082]: Error/Message: (err 17, sev 10), [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
C Procname: [OpenOledbConnection - no proc]
C sloledb.cpp [OpenOledbConnection,line 23082]: Error/Message: (err 0, sev 10), Invalid connection string attribute
C Procname: [OpenOledbConnection - no proc]
C Provider SQLNCLI could not be initialized. See note #734034 for more information.
C Using provider SQLOLEDB instead.
I hope you have an idea to solve the issue soon.
Thanks a lot
PhilippHi,
yes I read this SAP note however when I try to install this patch
It fails with message "installation unsuccessful"
Reason ??
Check the following:
1. Status of SQLServer Service(s)?
2. Windows Event Log Entries?
What is the SP level of SQL Server 2000 ?
Also, Perform the Connectivity Test as per[ this link|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827422/].

How to connect different clients of same SAP Instance
Hi,
I have a question abour CPS 7, Basic- / Free of Charge Version
I know that this version is restricted to have only one SAP Instance per Isolation Goup, but how about different clients of the same Instance ?
Is it necessary to create an Isolation Group for each client of the same instance ?
We actually have 1 isolation group with 1 Instance and 1client .
Trying to create a second XBP Connection to another client fails then saving the changes with error:
"JCS-102120: SAP System DI1.DI1_045 should be isolated but is not. Show error details"
I didnt find a concrete statement in the Installation - and in the Admin Guide.
Regards
FrankHi Frank,
This is correct, there is one client per isolation group. The free version works similar in this respect to SM36/SM37: jobs are defined in each client individually and independently.

Automatic Sales order creation from IDOC generated in another SAP instance?
Hi,
I have been trying to create Sales ordes in a seperate SAP instance, through the Purchase order generated in another Instance.
The Purchase order generated, passes the informtion through an IDOC to another SAP instance, I am getting the following error
" VKORG, VTWEG, SPART cannot be determined for customer 0000001000 ,Vendor000200038 "
It is Message No VG204 , Status Record 51
Please help to solve the problem.
Regards,
ChamandeepSAP Xpert friends,
I really need help in figuring out this error I get when I send an IDoc from external system to SAP.
Here is what I do....
create empty idoc of type ORDERS01
idoc.MESTYP = "ORDERS";
idoc.SNDPRN = "1171";
idoc.SNDPRT = "KU";
idoc.MANDT = "400";
idoc.SNDPFC = "AG";
idoc.MESCOD = " ";
idoc.MESFCT = " ";
idoc.TEST = " ";
create segment of type E1EDK01
add field MENGE with a value
add segment e1edp01 to idoc
create segment of type E1EDP19
add field QUALF with a value to segment
add field IDTNR with a value to segment
add segment E1EDP19 to idoc
send idoc
When I check WE02 in SAP, I can see the idoc, but
get this error
Here are all the STATUS RECORDS
<b>50 IDoc added
64 IDoc ready to be transferred to application
62 IDoc passed to application
51 Error: Application document not posted
<i>VKORG, VTWEG, SPART cannot be determined</i>
for customer 0000001171 , vendor</b>
I checked on Internet and found that VOE2 can be used to setup ... this is what I have in VOE2
Customer Vendor SOrg DChl Dv
1171 0000001171 1000 00
Thanks for help...

Once you've searched the store and received the results, how do you sort by name, by popularity, by album etc? You used to be able to simply click on the header.
