No screen capture program in CC?

I realize there are a ton of programs out there with varrying degrees of usefulness for this sort of thing. But I would expect such a comprehensive toolset as creative cloud would have some way of recording my desktop/other adobe programs. I work in marketing for a software company, so the vast majority of video done by us, is from the software itself. I hate having to rely on 3rd party programs and freeware video converters to do this. I understand captivate has this ability..... but for some reason is not included in the package. I also understand there was an Ideas post, where this topic was voted on. However I do not have the necessary perms to access that page.
If anyone is aware of a change, or could perhaps point me in a direction where my cries will be more usefulI, that would be appreciated. I guess I should also mention the reason I want adobe CC to support screen capture natively is because I love the entire CC package to death! the developers at adobe, could run circles around any of these compettitors (techsmith for example) in my opinion.

  • How do I connect two video cameras to my computer have them both show up on the desktop at the same time so I can see and capture both images using a screen capture program?

    Hello,
I am a teacher and want to make some videos to post online for my class.  I would like to have it set up so that I have a powerpoint presentation going, a video camera pointing at a piece of paper I can write on and another video camera pointing at me.  How do I do this?  I have seen several solutions but they seem to be for switching between videos whereas I want both video images to be on at the same time.
Also, is there a screen capture program you would recommend?

Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

  • Screen Capture Program Run Off of a Flash Drive

I am looking for a screen capture program that I would either be able to run off of a flashdrive, or something that I can easily move from computer to computer whenever I need it.
I do high end video work for a University and I am constantly being asked to do screen captures of a computer that is part of a technology demonstration. I love the features that Snap Pro X has, but the limitations of being able to only install on a HD with a running copy of OSX, and not being able to easily change the registered computer makes it to much for the hassle. Likewise, free apps like Jing work great, but are not easy to integrate into a FCP project.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that for most apps, you can just copy the .app file from /Applications/ to wherever you want-it may break some updating functionality, but that's the only way to have it in a different location.
    Good luck!

  • Screen Capture Program

The MS problem recorder won't work since we need actual video not just stills. The other issue is the problem recorder is disabled through a GPO I believe in compliance with our HIPPA policies (hospital).

    Hello world!
I am looking for a light-weight screen capture program to assist in trouble-shooting. While there are tons of options out there I am trying to find one that allows me to set it to launch when a preset EXE starts and closes / renders the video once the EXE closes. The other thing is it needs to run as silently as possible. I am aware of VLC but their current solution crashes way too often and leaves corrupt MP4 files all over the place. I will also note that I have been given a decent budget to use of this project so if it is some what pricey that may be okay.

  • What Screen capture programs work well for streaming?

i have tried a recommended program called ManyCam and it works.. i can stream and in HD. my issues are with the lack of audio options with this program.
For example. i want to be able to have a game running.. music through WMP and have mic available on a PTT.
With Many cam it seems like this software wasnt set up with streaming in mind as its only audio functions supported are for mic inputs and it will
NOT register music playing through the speakers.
unlike AFMLE  open brodcaster has the option to select a mic and play audio to the stream that is playing through my default audio device. which is awesome except its lacking in other features. and it is still using manycam.
So... how can i get AFLME to register my default audio device through manycam..
or... what other capture programs are supported by AFMLE (ive tried searching but i keep getting webcam results and posts on how to capture other peoples streaming content.. lol.. frustrating

Hi, I am new to flash media encoder. I have ManyCam on my mac, however, when I downloaded flash media encoder 3.2 I could not get it to recognize my manycam. Can you tell me what to do?

  • Best screen capture program

I just purchased Adobe CS4 Master Collection and I am wondering if it includes any programs that could capture still screen shots. I could always use Windows 7's snipping tool but does CS4 have anything better?

You can hit "Print Screen" then open Photoshop and File>New, accept default values that it gives you and Edit>Paste.  This will give you a 72dpi screen image of whatever your monitor's resolution is set to.

  • Screen capture program in Leopard?

  • FMEL - What Screen Cap Program Can Capture in Fullscreen for Fullscreen Applications?

I have tried 6 screen cap programs: VH, Uscreen, CamStudio, UltraVNC...etc, and none are able to capture any program that I use in fullscreen, whether it is a 3D game or a fullscreen slideshow.
Does anyone know of a (preferably free) screen capture program that works for Windows 7 and can capture 3D fullscreen applications? If there is nothing for free, then any premium recommendations would be appreciated.
I just could not find a program that worked, so I am just wondering if there is a tried and proven program out there.
    Thanks!

I believe there is only one program (besides getting a capture card) that does this, it does however cost money (It's called DXtory, not sure on it's reliability as I have never used it myself.. It may also not work with everything..
Only way of doing this guaranteed to work is through capture cards, but if you want decent resolutions with that then you gotta be prepared to shell out quite a bit of money unfortunately.
edit: let me add, I have not used dxtory so I can not tell you how/if this would work with FME for example, but I have heard from other people that dxtory would be an alternative for fullscreen.. however that program also has the ability to record to harddrive and I am unsure if that's the only way (like fraps) or if it can output to a virtual webcam as well... I just don't know...
edit2: ok seems like there is a trial for the program, and it also does allow you to output it into a virtual webcam (trial has a watermark) so you Can use it for FME.. You should check it out, it costs 3600 yen so that's like $45

  • Can you do screen capture with adobe CC product?

What I am looking at doing is recording some educational video where part will be just a copy of a recording from camera but I want to be able to switch to what the student would see is happening on my computer screen as I continue to narrate the lesson then go back to a normal video.  I see this being done all over but it is new to me.  I have the full subscription to Abode CC.  Can anyone point me to the application or applications that will do this.  Hope this is clear enough?

On the other hand, I use a very good screen capture program that is free.
For software tutorials, I use this: CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software
Just be careful to record using a good codec. I use Lagarith. It is lossless and is easily edited in Premiere Pro.
For static screen shots to post in the forum or if I don't need motion, I use the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows 7.

  • Screen captures (.avi) appear black in Premiere Pro 2.0

I have been using two screen capture programs: HyperCam2 and Camtasia to create .avi files. I have been importing the .avi files into Premiere Pro 2.0, and then editing the avi content. This process worked well.
Recently, the .avi screen captures that I have importing into Premiere Pro 2.0 appear black although the same .avi files play properly in any media player that supports .avi files.
Can anyone tell me what has changed, or how to correct this problem?

That is LIKELY a codec problem... where you have installed something new, which included a codec, and that install process told Windoze via the Registry something like "put my codec in 1st place" and doing that now causes your old codec to be a lower priority... and your files don't work properly

  • How to record video or use screen capture WHILE capturing audio from Logic??

    Hi,
I want to record my self playing guitar and singing using my mac book pro built in camera. I want the audio to come from Logic so I can add whatever effects I want to the vocals. When I say audio from Logic I don't mean recording in Logic and adding it in post. I want it to be on the fly.
What I used to do was use the screen capturing program Snapz Pro. I would screen capture a box around photobooth for the video, and then record while having Logic's audio in the background. It screen captures my entire computers audio. So for example if I get an aim message the bleep would show up in the recording. Or if I raise the volume or lower it the little click sound fx would be in it as well.
Capturing the audio this way let me get Logic's audio effects in my video on the fly. It worked out great....until now! :/
I just got the audio interface "Duet 2". And am using a microphone instead of my mbp's built in one. When ever I tried to record and capture my systems audio - my entire computer would crash. Snapz Pro won't work with the system audio with the interface. It works fine without it though.
I then tried to use Quicktime's new movie recording feature. I see it only gives an option for microphone and now system audio. So I got soundflower to re route the audio but that doesn't help either. This is because when you capture this way you can't hear anything while your capturing. So if I were to record a video and wanted Logics audio in it, I would have to set the output to Soundflower first. So when I record I cant hear myself which defeats the purpose.
So my final question is, how can I record video while having Logic's audio? I don't need to record with the mic, because in Logic the mic audio is going thru the system audio with everything else.
I would like to use a process more similiar to Quicktimes straight movie recording instead of doing an odd way like I used to screen capturing a box around the photobooth screen.
    Thanks

  • Capture desktop key event to control my screen capture app

I want to write a screen capture program to capture screen when I am playing fullscreen game or other desktop window application. But the java screen capture program can only receive key or mouse event when it is focused. So how do I capture key event when I am focusing other app or fullscreen app?
Do I have to use JNI and call some OS specific API. My target OS is WinXP. Help or suggestions are appreciated!!

    Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a way to capture the top-most
window or dialog box. This is something that will
generally be running outside of the JVM....We,
as programmers, need a Rectangle instance that describes the area
of interest to be captured (i.e., location and size).
Thus, a routine that interfaces to the Native windowing system (Toolkit?)
    might look something like:
    Rectangle rect = tk.getRectangleForTopMostComponent();
    Does anything like this exist?
    Thanks!

  • Screen capture with keynote presentations

After switching from PP to Keynote a year ago, my only disappointment is that I can't do screen-capture of my presentations. With PP, I could use the screen capture program SnapzPro to make a movie of my presentation, with voice over. Typically, if a particular slide didn't go well in class, I would record myself talking through the animations (bringing on pieces of a diagram one at a time, for example), and then post the resulting video on my course website. Doesn't work with Keynote, however, and the SnapzPro people don't have any info about when this problem might be solved from their end. Is there some other program I should be using? Does Apple itself make anything that will do the trick? Is solving this problem something Apple is working on? Or, am I stuck redoing my slides in PP?

    Hi there
I read your post. I use Snapz Pro X too, and I was surprised to learn it doesn't work with Keynote. Here's a possible work around.
Record your voice-over on any recorder and export to itunes or if you have sound studio loaded on your mac, use it. From the inspector you can access you voice-over for use in your project.
I've recorded a voice-over in sound studio for a keynote project. From sound studio I export to my desktop. From the desktop I drag and drop the audio onto the slide I need the voice-over on. This works well for me. try it.
Once you've got it set the way you like, export the Keynote project to QT or whatever format you like. In QT, the project will play like a movie. You can save the file, burn to a disk, or post to a web page.
    I hope this helps
    Carl
