No screen just the ligh
My 4GB Zen was having connection problems, so when I finally got it to work, I was listening to it for a couple of minutes then the screen just went black! All there is, is a light coming from the screen and a blue light coming from the hold/power button. I've tried the reformat thing, plugging it into a USB for a response blah blah no luck! Does anyone have any idea whats going on/how to fix it please?
Same problem here,?was just given my new Zen 4GB.. never had a Creative product in my house before so was a bit lost. Manage to put on songs and one video anyways, start playing video after getting the hang of using it and about 5 secs into the video the screen just goes blank! its not exactly turned off- its the colour of when you put lock on the zen, wouldnt?you agree?i resetted it and twice since while changing songs or doing something to the settings it has done the same again. but?not while idling or just listening to music.
Ive gotten it about 6 hours ago so im very disappointed after hearing such good things about?Creatives.Am currently downloading the latest firmware thing,.. but im not holding out that it will help muchANY help at all would be appreciated! ?PS. Does the screen always flicker slighly when powering it off? mine does.. and its worring me slightly, although its the least of my problems..

I updated my 3GS to the latest OS. iTunes was updated first, when iTunes finishes updating my phone a box pops up that says my phone is in recovery mode so I click the update button and it goes the whole update cycle again. I unplugged my phone after 4 cycles of updating but now there is NOTHING on my phone, not even the home screen just the itunes symbol . I've tried rebooting my phone but there is still nothing there. I have tried to cancel credit card info but there is no option in my payment screen. There is only the option to choose 1 of 3 credit cards. What do I do next? Any and all help with be greatly appreciated!
I don't think that the "none" option is available in every country. Where are you located?
If you can't remove the credit card by any other means, you might want to contact iTunes support. You can choose your country in the bottom right corner.

I installed iOS7 on my iPhone5 and now I am unable to open iTunes - the screen just stays blank.
I have checked date and time and wifi settings.
Not sure what else to do.
I do have iMatch active on my device and its working fine on my other iPohne with iOS7 installed.
Any help please!Have you tried logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in ? If it's still the same after that then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

MarceloIf there is no loading bar, it's usually a problem with a third party kext file in OS X itself.
You can press the power button down to force a hardware shutdown, then reboot holding the shift key down on a wired or built in keyboard, this will disable them and you go around and update your third party software.
Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
Also take this time to backup your users files off the machine if possible.

I work on dual screens on a new mac pro but when I do the 4 finger swipe it moves both screens, is there a way to move just the screen that is active?
Multiple desktops and dual screens really aren't meant to work together. Apple came up with this multiple desltops feature and never really thought about users that use a dual monitor setup. So use either multiple desktops OR dual monitors but not both. Also don't try to use any App in Full Screen Mode as that doesn't work with dual screen setups either.

Thanks for the question, and great troubleshooting so far. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
- Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
- Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
- Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
- After at least 15 minutes, if:
- The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
- The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
- Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
- If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
- If the display turns on, go to step 4.

Unable to use free version regardless of browser on any machine. I login with adobe id but then the loading screen just hangs. can't get any further - Tried all suggestions like clearing browser caches but no change.
Got a couple of projects i wanted to try this on and if the software works I will probably take a subscription but considering this isn't working at all will look elsewhere.

Just updated to lion and my cctv access has stopped functioning all I get is a white screen in the middle of the control panel where the camera shots should be. I think it is caused by JAVA but am confused as when i view on snow leopard it works can you help
Open "Java Preferences" either from spotlight or your utilities folder...it's probably going to say you need to install a java runtime. Then just click install!

When I connect my Macbook Pro to my Dell DLP projector, either via cable or wirelessly, I just see a dark screen with the mouse and mouse trails only, can any one help?
jpmarkques post is a good start point, after folling his directions, you can try detect displays. Also try different rsolution and refresh rates.
Most of the projectors I have used support a 1024X768 res.
Youcan also try a pram reset if it still does not detect.
Leave theproctor connected and powered up, power down the MBP.
Power back up the MBP and hold the following keys before you hear the start up chime:
Option, command, P,R (no commas) continue to hold these keys till you hear the start up chime 2 times. -
Using just the TV screen when using HDMI port?

I have the Macbook Pro with retina display and I was wondering how I could use just the TV screen when using HDMI port. I don't want mirroring displays, just one on the TV.With the TV connected and the MBP plugged into the mains (i.e. not running on battery power) close the lid. The MBP will go to sleep, wake it up with an external keyboard or mouse - which must be connected in advance, or paired in advance if a bluetooth keyboard/mouse.

Ok so I have tried evey combination of restarts. It tries to boot up, the start up bar appears on screen, but the computer just goes completely after the bar is a third of the way across. Is is doomed?
Have you tried booting into the Recovery HD and running Disk Utility to see if anything needs fixing on the HD. Restart holding down Command+r and once it hopefully boots select Disk Utility>Repair Disk. If anything gets fixed click on repair disk again until you get a clean pass. Try restarting as normal from the Apple menu once done.
Do you have backup to restore from if it proves to be the Mac has a hardware fault? -
Can't boot my T500 anymore... just getting to a black screen after the XP logo
I have a big problem with my Lenovo T500. Never had any problems before. Then yesterday, I could not open OpenOffice anymore, neither convert to pdf from an already open OpenOffice document. I got error messages saying the programmes can't be openend. After trying to re-install Adobe Reader failed, I simply wanted to restart the computer, seeing if that oculd help. And now the big problems started...
Re-booting was not possible. For 20 seconds, it seemed normal. But directly after the Windows XP logo (using
Windows XP Professional 1), the screen went black and that was it. I see the mouse cursor and can move it, but that's it.
After waiting some time, I turned the laptop off with the power button. And restarted it. This time getting to the screen where I could choose "safe mode" or normal startup, because the computer had been shut down improperly. First I tried normal mode, which lead to the same black page. Then I did the same again and tried "safe mode", which didn't work either - I just got the black screen with the "safe mode" notifier in every corner.
What I tried then was the ThinkVantage button directly when starting the computer. Which lead me to the "rescue and recovery" menu where I could choose what to do: Complete recovery, losing personal files (it's about music, pictures, text documents for me) or quick recovery without losing files. Also there was the option of saving files before through USB. This is what I tried first. I marked 50GB of files and wanted to transfer them. Problem: Every external harddrive or USB stick I connected was not identified. So this failed.
I chose to go with "quick recovery" first then. This took about 20mins. When it was done there was an automatic re-start which unfortunately got stuck at the black screen again...
3 more re-starts using the power button did not bring anything either. The ThinkVantage button does not let me access the rescue and recovery menu anymore. It just says something like "checking the system" and then there is an automatic re-boot, which ends up at the black page.
I am mighty scared now that I lost my computer and the data on it (I have backups for most things, but still).
Does anyone know anything that could be done now? I do not have XP or anything, by the way. I bought this computer used a year ago and got it complete with XP installed (although I do have the product key). The warranty from the place expired 5 days ago and the place is in Germany, but I live in Sweden. They told me they can't help me but I should contact a local repair place.
If anyone has an idea about what the problem could be (virus??) and maybe some help, I would be VERY VERY thankful.Maybe I should add that I probably didn't do the best thing with anti virus programs. I used Microsft Security Essentials, which was installed when I bought the computer.
When downloading some program (not sure whether it was Acrobat Reader), I was asked to get McAfee. Kind of weird, I had said no. But McAfee somehow checked my computer and told me my MP4 player contained a trojan. That was 5 days ago. Security Essentials couldn't find it, even scanning the MP4 player directly. I guess I should have switched right away and to get McAfee to remove the thing? Maybe this is what caused all the trouble... -

I was wondering if someone can help me. I have a MacBook Pro, it has came up saying I need to free up space on the disk as it full every time it starts up, so I log in and no icons or applications show up on the screen just my background wallpaper, the only thing I can do is the force quit keyboard shortcut but there is nothing to quit, I have tried to start up in safe mode but again there is no icons in the desktop,
I have my disks that came with my laptop I have went into disk utility to repair disk and I still seem to have the same problem .. No icons or apps or anything lol just the cursor I can only shut down the laptop via power but and the press shut down.
