No Screen Update of the video

Hi
When I play the video that is placed in the timeline of the project, it plays all well,
but when I use my arrow keys a to go frame by frame it refuses to update the video.
Never had this before and have no clue where to find the error.

The video was shot in HDV 1440x1080i.
I created a sequence of 1024x576 and placed the clips in there.
I am using two monitors and one is for the video view only.
So no external TV or other screen

The Mac has never needed "Full Screen". It has done multiple screen Extended Desktop since 1987.
Full screen is an iPhone feature, carried into this verion with the mult-touch gestures and other so-called "unifying" features.

You can try reducing the bit depth of the screen image via the slider in the upper-right of the Control window. If that doesn't help, you may just not have a sufficiently fast network connection to correctly handle the data transfer necessary. This is often the case if you're connecting across the Internet. What is your network speed between the administration system and the client?

How to add a Title (slide? screen?) BEFORE the video track

Hello,
I'm very new to Adobe Premiere Pro and I'm trying to figure out how to add a title to my project but I don't want the title on the start of the video in the sequence. I'd like to add it to a black screen, maybe with some transition effects, that will play prior to the video starting. Do I need to create a black image in CS and add it as a still and just add the title to the still which I can position before the video/audio track A starts?
I'm hoping that there's something I can do right within Premiere that will give me a place to put the title before my video starts. I didn't see an option to add a blank slide or something to that effect that I can add title to.

Thanks for the link.. like I said in my post, I'm brand new to the software and I've been watching and following guides for hours. Time is not on my side, I have a project that must be done by the end of this week and I have very limited time after work.
So when I have the head at the begining of my main track and click INSERT in the source monitor window it inserts a duplicate of the entire video so I have TWO videos in my sequence. This is clearly not what I'm wanting so I'm assuming that there's something I'm missing. I've searched google but don't see anything.
I'm just looking to add a black, blank screen that I can add a title to before my video begins. I realize this may be rudamentary to season vets but as I said, I'm very new and trying to learn this all quickly and I would really appreciate if someone could point me directly to some information about it. I'm not afraid to read and learn, hell I love it, but I'm pressed for time so someone just telling me, "go learn the software" with a link to a huge FAQ, doesn't really help me.
I've already learned a ton from some great guides but I have yet to have anyone indicate how to add extra footage (be it a still or blank video) directly from Premiere Pro.

EDIT: I think I figured it out... I just bumped the start of the main track up about 10 seconds and I added new item "Black Screen" right in front of it. I will add the title to this. Thanks all.

Does 06-28 update fix the video freeze w/ no sound problem??

I have been holding off updating my 5g 60 ipod for many months now due to the issue with the previous software NOT addressing two know issues (thanks to this site):
1. the video freeze..then playing with no sound issue.
2. the ipod not playing a song when
(just staying at 00:00) comming out of
hybernation and hooking up to a different headphone
jack.
I currently have the Oct 05 update and that fixed my video issue...but still have to yet to resolve the second issue.
Does this latest update (06-28) do the trick..?

I working for a banking sector, My requirement is that, there is a screen which stays open 24 hours 365 days , there are some database changes happening in the backend , the data needs to get refreshed in the page without actually clicking any refesh button.If possible please provide me with some page codes.

Code sample its up to you. Its a design issue and can be solved using RMI. The database sends an update flag to the registry object on the server.
The gui on the client side can be threaded for say every 100 mills seconds to download the RMI object from the sever and check the update flag. If true, to get the update field values with it.
Don't forget when you threaded to get the next update, to put a wait monitor till you get a response from the server and have a timeout just in case the server is not running, i.e restarted for example...

IMovie 11 green screen - audio of the video in foreground won't play

Elementary teacher. Groups of students are creating movies and adding green screen effects to videos. In more than one group, the audio begins fine, but as the group edits (over the course of a day or two), eventually the audio in the foreground video stops playing. I see the audio waves, but do not hear the audio. When skimming the clip in the event library, the audio is fine. When the clip is reinserted, the audio plays. Nothing is ducked, muted or turned down.
Why are we losing the audio?

I'd prefer to not have to 1) spend any money and 2) use a program to do something iMovie is already supposed to do.

If other devices can connect to the network without problems, it means that the router can provide wireless internet. For this situation, an isolation process is needed to be able to find a fix.
Was the computer tested to connect through Wi-Fi before you bought it?
Did you do Mac address filter on your router?
Make sure that the router is using WPA/WPA2 or WPA2 encryption type just like what Chester has recommended. If your router is already set to that security type, you may test by disabling the wireless security of the WI-Fi router. Check if it will connect or not.
Another thing to check is the properties of your wireless connection. To do that, Go to Network and Sharing center > Click change adapter settings > right click “Wireless” > go to Properties> click Internet protocol IPV4> check the Properties button below > make sure that it’s set to both Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically.

What happened to the Video Workshop tutorials?

I have Illustrator CS3. I don't use it often so I rely on the video tutorials. The link inside the program help that used to point to the tutorials now points to "Adobe Inspire Magazine" which offers no help at all.
Oddly enough, the tutorials I'm looking for still exist in Italian. http://www.adobe.com/it/designcenter/video_workshop/ How is this fair?
I paid for all the features in CS3, one of which is access to the video tutorials. So Itialian speaking people still get help with CS3 and English speakers are bent over the barrel to cough up more money to upgrade? Not FAIR!

Had I purchased the DVD version of the software I'd have the tutorials on disk. I chose the download version as it was PROMISED to have all the same features. If they don't have them online anymore, I should be able to get a copy of the videos on disk shouldn't I?

No "effects" in iMovie 7.
You can always add them using iMovie 6 and export that file to version 7.

How do I add a full-screen button to mp4 videos?

I am making a multi-screen HTML 5 help project. We want to add videos. Right now the videos are mp4, but really we could convert them to anything. I want the videos to appear on the page at a nice small specified size. That I can do. However, I want the user to be able to expand the video to a boarderless full-screen size, similar to Youtube videos. I can't find any option to add a full-screen button to the video player. Can it be done in Robohelp? Do I have to buy an external video player?

Despite the similarity in names, Java and JavaScript are separate languages. For embedding Flash players or controls in web pages, you would be using JavaScript.

I get every time after rendering four black bars around the video, I would like to fix this because it is not really professional.

Are you OK with translating the language English to Dutch? Have you been using the Translate button at the bottom right of the posts to translate what is written in English to Nederlands (Dutch)? Is the major problem that you cannot find the locations that I point to in Premiere Elements?
1. What are the properties of the video that you are putting on the Timeline? The quick way to find this
information is knowing brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video on the Timeline.
From this question I am trying to find out what the properties are for your video - video compression, audio compression, frame size, interlaced or progressive, file extension, pixel aspect ratio. I was hoping that you could tell me the brand/model/settings of the camera recording the video so that I could find the information myself.
2. What are you setting (manually) or the project (automatically) as the project preset that will match
the properties of the video that you are importing? If you do not know, then tell us what you see under
Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readouts for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel
Aspect Ratio, even if the fields look grayed out.
Besides knowing the properties of your video, it is just as important to know the project settings. Are you setting them yourself or just dragging the video to the Timeline and letting the project set the project preset automatically? If you are doing nothing, then the answer is that the project is doing the setting automatically.
Either way, you can find out what is being set by going to Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and looking for the reading that you see in the following screenshot.
3. The next big question is "What do you mean by rendering?"
Do you see these black borders after you render the Timeline content in the Edit area to get the best
possible preview of what you are seeing in the Edit area monitor?

Us Draw/Picture vi's or 3D active-X to draw w/o screen update timing glitches?

For a visual component of a multisensory psychophysical task I need temporal precision. Should I use Draw/Picture vi's or 3D active-X to draw 2D objects w/o screen update timing glitches? How should I synchronize the screen presentation with analog in data streams (within 1 ms)? Should the loop involved in (drawing and) updating the display window be running in parallel to my data collection loop?

To answer your question, I would recommend using the LabVIEW display VIs as opposed to ActiveX objects if you are worried about the screen update rate from code to display. You can definitely benchmark the time required to run ActiveX code as compared to LabVIEW display VIs, but you cannot benchmark when the interface has actually updated. However, because ActiveX has an additional layer of communication, I would assume that this could potentially extend the time that this operation would take.
For your application as a whole, I also have other reservations about the timing requirements you have. Specifically, you might not be able to ensure that you have accurate correlation within 1 ms depending on the specifications of the machine and concurrent processes running. By this I mean that the screen update for any operation depends on how fast Windows can process the command to redraw the screen. If you have a slow machine, or a large amount of concurrent tasks for the processor, this timing will be more of an issue.
The ideal platform that I would suggest would be a Windows machine dedicated to the display of these images. You could then run the acquisition code on a real-time processor and use the Windows host as a time server. By doing this, you can then correlate the timestamps of a screen update with the DAQ timestamps. I hope this information is useful for you. Please post back if you have any further questions.

Green screen when I play videos on my computer while using itunes

Hey I just bought a new computer, and I installed the new itunes and quicktime and whenever i try to play videos that i bought from itunes i can here the music but i get a green screen instead of the video. I have tried reinstalling itunes/quicktime and I am still having no luck. Hopefully somebody can help me out

Could quick suggestions I have for you
1. Quit iTunes, And download and install latest Adobe Flash Player
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
*Recommended to reboot after it is installed.
When you get back up and running. Feel free to test movie out again. And see if the green image continues.
If it does proceed below.
2. Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features
-If you got Multiple versions of Adobe Flash Plugins. You may wish to uninstall all of them, Then download and install latest Adobe one last time http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Reboot as needed.
If this continues again proceed to step 3.
3. Launch Control Panel - Switch to Classic view if you are not in it. You can see this as an option in the left hand corner of Control Panel
Double click on Quicktime, Go to Advanced Tab - And Empty Cache.
Keep this Window Open, Test Movie Out, If it continues. Close iTunes one last time. Go back to the Window we left open. This time Click on Safe Mode (GDI only) for now.
This is typically caused by outdated Flash Software and or Direct X Software. IF you have Vista you should already have latest Direct X Installed.
If you got XP visit the link below for latest Direct X drivers. As this may also assist without having to use the Safe Mode (GDI) only
