No scroll/zoom beyond end in CS6?

Hello, I just discovered this today:
The only way to expand the view beyond the end of the original 30 seconds, or beyond
the end of the current audio is to either: move a clip to the right beyond the end of the
current view or record something new beyond the end of the current view.
In AU 3 all I had to do was hold down the mouse button and move it beyond the end
and then the current view would expand to however far I dragged the mouse.
I know it might be hard to understand from this description so here's what I was doing.
I was testing the loudness of several cpu fans by recording 10 seconds of each one like this:
I selected 10 seconds then clicked record so AU would record for that 10 seconds then stop.
Then I selected the next 10 seconds and recorded that using a different fan.
That worked until I used up the 30 seconds but could not get the cursor to go beyond the
end of the view unless I started recording and let the recording go beyond 30 seconds or
grabbed a clip and dragged it beyond 30 seconds.  Then had the same problem when
I came to the end of that view.
To a programmer, it might not seem logical that one would want to select an area
beyond the view but I know that is a feature in 3.0 that I would use a lot if it worked in Cs6.
Sorry for the long story.  I hope there's a short answer.
Thanks.

Aah, I see what you mean. The problem occurs if you click on the buttons in the Zoom bar but not if you use the keyboard shortcuts - and = or the mouse scroll wheel. So there seems to be a bug with the Zoom Out Full buttons either in the Zoom bar or at the top right of the time bar. Also affects the \ shortcut. All seem to default to the 30sec default not to the actual length of the loaded session template.
After a bit more experimenting Zoom Out Full only zooms to the length of clips not to that of an empty session, which I suppose is logical in some cases but a nuisance for the sort of work you are doing. So the moral is don't use Zoom Out Full, use multiple shortcut key presses or the mouse wheel I'm afraid. Maybe there needs to be  an option for either variety of Zoom Out Full (Clips) or Zoom Out Full (Session).

  • UIScrollView - Scroll, Zoom, and Touches?

Im having an issue with a UIScrollView that I cannot figure out.
what I want to be able to do is to add images to a scrollview, and move them around by touching and moving them, while still being able to scroll/zoom the scrollview.
I've got an app where I have a ViewController whoes view (MyScrollView) is a custom view inherited from a UIScrollView.
MyScrollView implements touchesShouldBegin, touchesMoved and touchesEnd.
I add some subviews (UIImageViews) to MyScrollView.
when a touch event is handled, I compare the contentview to each of my UIImageView subviews, and if they match, then I save off which image is being moved. in thouchesmoved, I apply my changes to the selected subview.
I also have MyScrollViews delegate set (the viewController), and have implemented the two functions needed to zoom.
Now, here is the weird thing. If I comment out the touchesmoved implementation in MyScrollView, then MyScrollView will scroll and zoom like expected, but wont move the subviews (expected), but if I uncomment the touchesmoved implementation, then I can move my subviews, but MyScrollView no longer scrolls or zooms.
any thoughts as to why I cant get both working at the same time?

Since MyScrollView is a subclass of UIScrollView, you need to manually call the touchesMoved for the UIScrollView parent object so that it can do its default scrolling behavior. When you commented out your custom touchesMoved, then the message was automatically being passed to the UIScrollView's touchesMoved method.
At the end of your touchesMoved implementation, put
    [super touchesMoved:touches withEvent:event];
Assuming "touches" and "event" are the names of arguments in your function.

  • JScrollPane not scrolling to the end of JTable

    Hello,
I put a table in a scroll pane, and add the scroll pane to a panel. The problem is the scroll pane does not scroll to the end of the table, it always lets me view only the first 37 rows of the table, regardless of how many rows the table actually has. Basically, the scroll pane thinks the table has exactly the same height, no matter how many lines it has. Why is this happening?
    The code is something like
    model = new SearchResultTableModel(false, null, null);
    table = new ResultTable(model);
    scrollPane = new JScrollPane(table);
    mainBox.add(scrollPane);
If this is important, the table is a bit more complicated, I subclass JTable, use a custom TableModel, several types of cell renderers / editors, so maybe this is why it behaves so strange. How could I tell the scroll pane the table is actually larger?
Thank you very much, any ideas are highly appreciated,
    Regards from Romania,
    Adi

    Hi,
fireTableDataChanged() is the easiest way to do it, but also that one, that forces JTable to rerender all visible cells, regardless the fact, that they are already displayed and would not need rerendering - if you add a row - for example row 7 - do fireTableRowsInserted(7,7); instead - so JTable will only render this single row if it is visible in the viewport. If you add a couple of rows, for example row 7 to 227, do fireTableRowsInserted(7,227); - always fire only the correct notifications accordingly to the changes you make, in order to keep the performance of JTable high.

  • Scroll-zoom function does not work.

    Hey,
I am using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro on  Windows XP and somehow I am not able to use Ctrl+scroll for zooming in and out.
It only works using Ctrl++ and Ctrl+-.
Do you know how I can turn the scroll-zooming function on again?
    Thank you,
    Finn

In later versions the setting is controlled by:
Edit > Preferences > General > Basic Tools > Make Hand tool use mouse-wheel scrolling
I don't have a copy of A6 to verify if the entry is in the same place or not.

  • JScrollPane Must Scroll to the END ........

    My problem is :
I have a JTextArea , and the text inside doesn't fit
in it. When this happens , the two ScrollBar should
scroll to the END of the text....
Like if a have a JTextArea with 10 rows with a JScrollPane, and my text is 20 rows long, then i
need to see the end of the text(No manual Scrolling)
Are there any method to control the Scrollbar position ?
    Help....!!!!!!!

    Hi,
When you move the caret position of your JTextArea, then the scollbars follow. Try this (assuming your JTextArea is called textArea):
textArea.setCaretPosition(textArea.getLineEndOffset(textArea.getLineCount()-1));This scrolls to the end of the JTextArea.
    Hope this helps,
    Kurt.

  • With a high volume of tabs, scrolling to the end of the tab list often resets to the first tab

    Firefox 34.0.5
When using a large number of tabs, around 300 inactive and 30 active tabs, when the currently selected tab is a tab on the far left side of the tab bar, attempting to scroll to the end (far right) side of the tab bar will often cause scrolling to freeze momentarily, and then reset to far left, to the currently selected tab, and continues scrolling from the beginning of the tab bar, making it unnecessarily difficult to scroll to the end of a long tabs bar.
This occurs when scrolling up/down with the scroll-wheel on a mouse, when scrolling up/down/left/right on a touchpad, and when scrolling using the left and right scroll buttons in the tab bar.

hello kirbysama, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

  • How do I turn off the alt scroll zoom?  When I'm in Adobe photoshop and illustrator using the pen tool, alt is utilized for another short cut.  I would like to use the alt command for the pen tool instead of zooming into the screen.

How do I turn off the alt scroll zoom?
When I'm in Adobe photoshop and illustrator using the pen tool, alt is utilized for another short cut.  I would like to use the alt command for the pen tool instead of zooming into the screen.

I tend to select things from left to right and every time I am moving in a downward right diagonal motion during lasso selection I am missing a clear view and I am tending to have a more sloppy selection.  All this does is slow me down since I need to go back and hit those areas again.  The big arrowhead just get's in the way.  The original lasso tool with the thin line and small active point at it's lower left was far better for me.
I don't like turning the cursors to precise because I like to see the active tool icon where my cursor is and as the icon changes as I hold modifier keys down.  If I am forced to get comfortable with using pricise cursors I guess I will, but man, I've never had to do this in my 15 years of photoshop use...
I would absolutely LOVE to find a way to get the old lasso icon -- without the arrowhead above it.
Is there any chance this option could be inlcuded in cursor preferences?  I'd give much thanks, Adobe.

No, you can't change the built in calendar. However, there are lots of other calendar apps that have that month view. Take a look at Week Cal, Tempo, Fantastical, Cal (by the same folks who make Any.do).

  • ZCM 11.2.3 USB IMAG. - attempt to access beyond end of devic

    Hi There,
this may have been covered before but i have searched and had little headway into the issue.
I am getting the following errors shown (thousands) on the "Alt-F4" screen whilst imaging.
    [xxx.xxxxxx] sda1: rw=65, want=xxxxxxxxx, limit=xxxxxxxx
[xxx.xxxxxx] attempt to access beyond end of device
I have checked that the tntfs.ko has loaded.
I am using USB imaging with ENGL 8.0 and 11.2.3.
The drive is a USB 3 1TB with 10gb fat32 partition for boot and Remaining EXT4 partition for images.
The images will apply on some machines but fail half way through on others....
is it something to do with partitioning etc?
    any ideas?

Doubt much could be solved on the Forums.
    Two things I would recommend.....
#1 - Test all of the USB Ports to see if they all operate the same.
#2 - Look for Any BIOS upgrade.
If Neither helped, an SR may help.

  • Tabs for Point & Click, Scroll & Zoom, and More Gestures do not show.

    Hi all
Had to reformat my drive and install a fresh copy of lion but I can not see the  tabs for Point & Click, Scroll & Zoom, and More Gestures in my preferences all I get is
    Anyone have any ideas ?

Never mind. I found the answer. There is a selection in the Trackpad titled "When using gestures to scroll or navigate, move content in the direction of finger movement" that is what controls the setting.
I actually found the answer after I posted the question. I tried all kinds of combinations in the new ask a question psuedo-search feature of the support site and nothing showed up. After you post, the site offers questions similiar to the one just posted. It was one of those that solved the problem. I guess I didn't get enough keywords correct for the right answer to show up. I just wish Apple would let you do a standard search instead of trying to be helpful. So far, I've not found any answers I was looking for with the new search tool. All answers have been found on different sites using Google. Grrrr. </rant>

  • CTI goes beyond end of movie!

I'm using PRE8 on Windows 7. I have a project which ends at 3 minutes. I've shortened the entire project to about 2 1/2 minutes. I've made sure that there are absolutely no objects past the new 2 1/2 minute mark. However, when I play the project within PRE8, the CTI continues past 2 1/2 minutes, and continues blankly on to the original 3 minute point. How can I get the CTI to stop at the new end of the project?? I've had this problem on other projects, too.
Thanks for your usual prompt response!
    Jeff

    Jeff,
The JPEG did not attach. Use the little "camera" icon on the top-middle of the editing screen, to attach it.
When looking for Orphans, I like to also zoom in on the horizontal view of the Timeline, so that one can see things at a Frame-level. In that view, hit the End key, to see exactly where the CTI goes. Does it go beyond where you think the Duration should end? If so, you have an Orphan. Also, do not forget to Scroll the Timeline, to see ALL Tracks.
One can also check the position of the CTI, where the last intended Clip ends vs the displayed Duration of the TimeCode.
Good luck, and hope you find your Orphan,
    Hunt

  • Zoom beyond image area

Upgraded to CS5 and can't figure out how I did this w/ CS4.
When zooming or scrolling, I was able to see/go beyond the document image area.
What do I need to do to be able to do that again?

It's not the window that is the problem it is happening with an individual file.
This is a screen shot from CS4 showing how I can zoom in on my image and and the gray working area is still visible. Notice the scroll bars and see that they are not all the way over to the ends.
It's like the 0 point on the rulers is locked--- somehow.
    Hope that helps.

  • Premiere pro cc bug??? - timeline indicator goes beyond end of sequence...

Not sure if anyone else has come across this. But for some reason, in my premiere pro cc (2014.2) verison, my timeline indicator doesn't stop at the end of my sequence but goes a good distance beyond that. I zoomed in all the way and already verified that there are no video or audio clips where it stops.
The timeline needle should stop at 00;08;09;20 which is the end of my sequence.
But instead it stops at 00;08;14;51. No idea why:
