No sending of mail possible

Hello,
I have a problem with a mail account on my Mac (Mac OS X.4.6).
My wife has an account on my Mac so that we can both use the Mac via fast User Switching. No problems so far. But last week she was not able to send mails anymore. Recieving is possible.
But if she replies to a mail or writes a new one the menu where you can select over which mail account the mail shall be sent is empty. But in preferences a mail accounts are visible and active.
Replying to a mail opens a mail window but without contents. No text of the original message is displayed.
What could be the problem?
Does it help to remove the preferences plist-file?
Any help appreciated.

Yes Michael, that would be a good starting point.
Open Preferences from within the Mail program and note the exact settings for your email accounts.
Quit Mail
Drag the following file to the desktop:
your wives' home directory / Library / Preferences / com.apple.mail.plist
Restart Mail
Re-install your mail settings for at least one account
These actions will not interfere with your mailboxes, it will simply create a new plist preference file when you re-start Mail.
If that did not help, you can place back the .plist file so you have all your account settings back.

Wrap you transformation step in an exception handler.

In the exception handler have a control step - type mail. Here you can specify any custom message.
after the mail control step , you can either exit BPM using control step - type exit or continue with the BPM.

Sending e-mail from Ical to mail is not possible?!

Hi out there!
I desperately need to know how I use the alarm from Ical where it sends me a reminder by mail. When I choose "send e-mail" in the "alarm-window" in my event it says something like this: "You have to add your own card to your e-mailadress in your adressbook before you can use post-alarms" (this is translated from danish)
Does anyone know what to do?
I have my own adress in my adressbook... How do I get ical to find it?

New macbook pro wont send e-mail

hi. i bought a new macbook last weekend. i have a macbook pro already. i use mail on both thru a company called easyspace. i bought my own website and now i have a number of e-mail accounts on it. now my old mac sends emails fine. however when i enter the settings into the outgoing server bit on the new mac it wont send. have been in contact with easyspace and none of their advice works. they keep saying type smtp.iomartmail.com use password and have port 25, or 110. i also tried smtp.easyspace.com also doesnt work. any ideas. i cant believe x2 macs cant work together suing same wireless in same room? thanks for anyones help

Try backing up your Users -> yourname -> Mail folder, and then copying from one machine to the next the com.apple.mail.plist file found in Users -> yourname -> Library -> Preferences. If it still won't send, it is possible there is a limitation on your router as far as who can send mail and what ports they can use. Changing the MTU setting on your network preferences or IPv6 setting may help. Also verify your router has the latest firmware update.

i'm using BPEL Process manager 10.1.3.1.0 installed on my machine and not installed SOA Suite (problem in installing AS Middle tier), i send voice,sms through BPEL PM which works fine, and faced problem in e-mail notification only, according to me with out installing SOA suite we can use BPEL PM or please let me know the procedure to install the downloading files.

Scheduling a job to send e-mails in Oracle 10g

Hi,
Our application has a scheduled job that runs every hour to fetch data from another application. The SP which this job calls has logic to send e-mails at various stages of the job execution about the status of the job execution. Sometimes, the e-mails are failing due to an SMTP transient error on the server, and thus the job hangs in the RUNNING state.
We were asked to bypass sending the e-mails, and implement that as a separate job. But the problem is that the e-mails are triggered based on some conditions during the main job's execution. So, how is it possible that I can implement just the e-mail thing as a separate job.
Our main job is like below....
1) Job starts -> Send e-mail#1 that the feed started
2) Extract completed and some tables updated-> Send e-mail#2
3) Load to few other tables happened
4) Final Merge to production tables completed -> Send email#3 that the feed is over.
Now, since email #1,2,3 are based on conditional check, how feasible is it to implement these are separate jobs?
Is there any other way that runs the main job even though sending e-mails gets stuck somewhere?

Hi Mani,
The A tag using the MailTo: can only work with a client mail program. There's no way to send an e-mail from the server using it.
You can specify Subject and Body texts within the A tag, but you cannot specify the from and to addresses.
In order to send e-mail from the server, you'd need to use either an app-part or custom web part. I don't think you can do it through CSOM.

EDIT: It looks like you can do it through C# CSOM, but that would require an AppPart. I can't see SendEmail in any of the JavaScript based CSOM files.

Apex has an API for sending emails: APEX_MAIL, you will need to have an SMTP server for this.
Have a look in the user_guid, you will find what you need there.

But it can be done by using the FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. Just create a method and Call this FM accordingly.

I have one doubt. I have a sender File adapter with FTP transfer protocol. I want to pull the file every 24 hours. If the file does not exist, there is any way to have an error and send a mail to the client?
Is a requierement to do one interface, they want that XI sends a mail if no file is encounteref in the server when XI goes to pull the file. Is this possible?

No need to call alert from module . go upto 24 hars if no file is received set your own structure.

Design a workflow template which is triggered when the PO is created. Make the template wait for the event 'RELEASED' which is to be triggered once the PO is released. If the event is received, complete the workflow or else, design the deadline monitoring to send a mail to the concerned person if PO is not released.
You need to take care of the event creation after the PO is released and deadline monitoring of the step in the workflow template.
If this is not possible, you can create a program which collects all the POs which are not released within a day of creation and send a mail to the concerned people from the program itself. You have to schedule this program daily at a particular time to send the mail. You do not need a workflow for this.

In T-Code F.18 we can Print or Send Email or Send FAX to vendor.
To do this, we specified a custom Function Module in FIBF. This function module decides which way the document will be sent. And i set decision mechanism with Vendor Default Communication Type (ADRC-DEFLT_COMM).
But in this way, we can just Print or just send Email or just FAX or etc.
Is it possible to run F.18 with multiple communication methods ?
