No service and Searching

Hi everyone
I'm in Sydney and I'm using Iphone4 with vodafone. Since 4 days ago my phone start showing "searching" and then turned to "no service". At first I thougt it might be sth wrong with my SIM card, but it works well in other's phone. I went to App Store yesterday and they refuse to replace on for me. The guy in Genius Bar said I should go to vodafone although I told him there is nothing wrong with my SIM card again and agin. I am really disappointed
I tried to restart,reset.........but it still shows "searching" or "no service". It drives me crazy....

Just because the SIM card worked in another phone does not mean that it is in perfect shape. Have you gone to Vodafone to see about a new SIM card. If you have done a reset, the last user troubleshooting step is a restore. If you have done that, and Apple has told you to check with Vodafone about a SIM, I would say that is your last step before going back to Apple. If you get a new SIM and it still doesn't work, you can report that to Apple and they should be more receptive to replacing the phone if it still won't work.

Need help!! Very little beer spilled on my iPhone 4 where the speaker and front camera is and was wiped try immediately. It was still working fine after the incident for a few days however, suddenly the iPhone started playing up and losing reception and now its started showing SOS only then it says No Service and switches back and forth from No Service to searching.
I've tried...
Turing on/off airplane mode
Taking SIM out then putting it back in
Putting another SIM in iPhone both Telstra SIM and Optus
Putting iphone in container of rice for hours
Restore network settings
Hard reset iphone (holding sleep/home key)
Updating iTunes version
Sync -> back up iPhone -> restore iphone -> sync and back up iPhone from previous back up's -> restore back up again just to be on the safe side but there's no change and keeps switching from No Service to searching.
Telstra is not sure whats wrong and has advised to take it to Apple or Telstra store for assessment and sent of to get fixed.
Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix it without having to fork out money if possible as not covered by warranty anymore.

Restore your phone as a new device. If that does not work see if you can try a SIM from someone else's phone. If that SIM does not work then the problem is the phone. If the borrowed SIM works then the problem is with your cell provider. In fact, if you went to a retail location for your provider they should have tried another working SIM to determine where the problem is located. If the problem is in your device you will probably have to get an out of warranty replacement if your phone is out of warranty. Being a 4S I suspect the device is out of warranty.

When i check the search status
Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance, it shows all the components are online.
As of now search service application is online and search is working.But not sure why it throws the above error.
I have restarted timer service,search service in services.msc and cleared the sharepoint cache as well.
But no luck,This is happening in my prodcution environment.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please try below mentioned steps:
1. Central Administration > Monitoring > Review job definitions > Look for following timer job "Application Server Administration Service Timer Job" > Disable
2. Then open windows administrative services (services.msc), stop SharePoint Timer Service
3. Clear SharePoint Timer configuration cache by following steps mentioned in below blog:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jamesway/archive/2011/05/23/sharepoint-2010-clearing-the-configuration-cache.aspx
4. Start SharePoint Timer Service and give it a few seconds so that the new XML files from the location you deleted then are re-populated.
5.Central Administration > Monitoring > Review job definitions > Look for following timer job "Application Server Administration Service" Timer Job > Enable

I want to kow what is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?
Or Can I abstract the Sharepoint fast search from the Sharepoint platform as a isolate component?

They are very, very different beasts.
Firstly FAST Search for SharePoint is the old name for the product and is only relevant for SharePoint 2010 not 2013. It got merged into the standard SharePoint search for the 2013 release.
SharePoint search is aimed at providing a Bing or Google like experience for your intranet content, as well as providing some nifty features that are purely SharePoint releated along the way. That means it can crawl SharePoint content, file shares,
outlook mailboxes, internal and external websites and probably fifty other different things if you really tried. Whilst i'm not an expert on SQL full text search I believe it's intended to provide a search feature for content held within SQL databases
and tables.
Can you run SharePoint purely for Search? Yes, definitely.

The instance name above should be change i guess? am i correct?Given that the Application Server JMQ instance runs on port 7676 by default, you were most likely changing the wrong instance.
Try adding the jmquser to the Application Server JMQ instance and perform the login test again e.g.
/opt/SUNWappserver/imq/bin/imqusermgr add -u jmquser -p adminpass -g user

Please check your security configurations.

O2UK: Why is my iPhone constantly picking up service, and then saying 'No Service' or 'Searching'?!

My iPhone 3GS searches for signal, gets some signal then it drops out and says no-service and then starts searching again.. it worked fine yesterday.. and this morning only since i got to work has it stopped. I've even walked down to the local shop to try and get signal so its not the building i'm in. My partner has the same phone with the same carrier (O2) and has no problem.
I am on O2 Simplicity, just upgraded from a blackberry.. at this rate looks like im going to have to go back to it beacuse i cannot use this phone like this..
I will go to the applestore tomorrow.

Maybe you are currently in an area of low signal? Or inside a thick-walled building?
In my work office my phone does this as they have some tin-foil type insulation which the phone signals can't penetrate well.

Searching service and Lost the IMEI number, Can not delete icloud account

I have the problem with my new iphone 5s which is used in 3days, It no service and just searching the service very long time, and it still no service. Moreover I can not remove my Icloud account and lost the IMEI number too. I really don't understand about this case becasue it's the new iphone.

- as a clustered service with affinity configured between msg and imq
or
- imq instance running on each node of the cluster

JMQ should be installed on each cluster node with something like this:
Grab mq4_1-installer-SunOS.zip (SPARC) or mq4_1-installer-SunOS_X86.zip (x86)
Slap JMQ installer somewhere like /usr/local/src and unzip it
mq4_1-installer/installer or mq4_1-installer/installer -nodisplay
Hammer through the install and you should be ready to go
Now the actual setup of JMQ:
vi /etc/imq/imqborkerd.conf

UPDATE #2:
I chatted with Ashley from Apple Support yesterday and she suggested me to restore the phone and set it up AS NEW, NOT restore from backup.
And it worked!
Of course, you have to back up everything, but I have my contacts, notes, and pictures on iCloud. All I did was merge them back to the phone from iCloud Setting.
One downside: you'll lose all text messages. But it's worth it.

TS4429 In top left hand corner my phone keeps saying no service and then swapping to searching

I have had a new screen fitted on my Iphone and now the sim card not working, in top left corner it keeps just from No Service to Searching, can anyone help. Phone is now out of guarntee so apple not able to help.

Seems whomever replaced the screen damaged the device. Take it back to them and demand they either correct the issue or replace your iPhone with a functional iPhone.

Service Accounts for Browser Services and FD Launcher (Full-text Search)

I am setting up SQL Failover Clustering (Version: 2012SP1) on Windows 2012. There are 2 options to configure the service account for Browser Services and FD Launcher :
Option 1) Using separate domain accounts, as what I have done for DB Engine and SQL Agent.
Option 2) accept the default, which is local service for
browser, and virtual account for

which is the recommended one? is it option 2?
There is security note on above URL as well, but does not clearly mention that option 1 is not recommended.

In SQL Server Brower, the default logon account is NT Authority\Local service and cannot be changed during SQL Server setup.SQL Server Browser is not a clustered resource and does
not support failover from one cluster node to the other. SQL Server Browser should be installed and
turned on for each node of the cluster. SQL Server Browser should be run in the security context of a low privileged user to minimize exposure to a malicious attack.

In SQL Server full text filter daemon launcher, on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, the FDHOST Launcher service account also defaults to LOCAL SERVICE. If you provide a domain account in which to run the FDHOST Launcher service, we highly recommend
that you use a low privilege account. On Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2 , we use Virtual Account or Managed Service account(MSA) in FD Launcher . We also need to note the account you used for
FD Launcher should be different from the account that you use for the SQL Server service. For more information, see:

So I recommend you use the option 2 to configure the service account for Browser Services and FD Launcher.
