No service - Bon Wier, Tx

I have used Verizon cell phones for many years, and all of the sudden, the last 2 weeks, my service has been horrible to non-existant.  Previously, I could talk on my phone @ home without and problems.  I would have great service, usually 5 bars.  The last 2 weeks, I have either 1 or 2 bars, or no service.  My neighbors have been having the same problems.  We have made numerous calls to customer service, and got numerous unhelpful responses.  The first response was that we live 8 miles from the tower, and we can expect to have poor coverage @ times, but no explanation as to why that would have changed recently.  Another response was that more people were signing up for verizon, and that the more people using that tower, the more trouble we would have.  They also said they were updating their tower, but no specifics on when that would be finished, or as to why service did not get better with an update, but it got worse.   My mom has had to give them directions 3 times.  They can't seem to find us, even though they mail our bill here.  UPS and Fedex don't seem to have a problem finding us.... I'm certainly unimpressed with customer service, or lack there of.  Please, if anyone can get results and get their service back, let me know.

I can definitely understand how frustrating it can be.  I used to live in area with marginal or no service area.  I did some research in our data base in Bon Wier, Tx and basically this area has been determined to be a marginal coverage area and you may continue to experience a signal.  The area is being evaluated for future coverage enhancements.  Several trouble tickets have been filed and the resolution has been that there is external interference causing the marginal coverage.  It has been determined that it is not a problem with our towers and since you live in a known marginal coverage area any slight interference can cause the signal to degrade.  Interference can take months to find, as the problem is beyond the networks control.  As a resolution it seems that you may benefit from a network extender.  I have included a link here with more information about our network extenders.  I hope this helps.  Thanks.

  • Beware of Verizon Home Fusion Service - DO NOT BUY

    Warning! Warning! Warning!
    Do not do business with Verizon
    They will do everything possible to steal from you.
    They are worse than the government. They are worse than the big banks. They are worse than the airlines.
    Hidden fees? Check. Lies from store associates? Check. False advertising? Check.
    The degree to which Verizon is able to rob its customers without government intervention or a class-action lawsuit is unbelievable.
    If you make the mistake of signing up for a Home Fusion account, here is the agony you will suffer:
    1) Unlike any other form of home internet, you will be locked into a 2-year contract. You will not be told about this. You will not be asked to sign any paperwork. You will just be locked into a contract and then threatened with a $350 fee if you try to cancel your service - even if you're dissatisfied with the quality of the internet connection.
    2) Every month, you will be charged a hidden "$20 access fee" in addition to the fee you pay for your data. So if you think you're going to be paying $90 a month for internet, get ready for a rude surprise that you'll actually be paying $110 per month.
    3) You will also be charged $15 for every GB you go over for your plan. Verizon of course is hoping that you will go over so they can slap you with feesor upgrade you to a more expensive plan.
    4) You will be shown one price and then charged another. If you visit the website for Home Fusion or review the prices shown in marketing materials, you will see that 30GB plans are $120 per month. You will sign up for that plan, then receive your bill and discover that Verizon wants to charge you $185 a month instead. They will never tell you about this discrepancy, they will just start charging you whatever you want. Don't like the abuse? You can always cancel and Verizon will charge you a $350 cancellation fee.
    You will be ripped off. You will be disrespected. You will be lied to.
    For your own sake, please do not sign up for Verizon Home Fusion and if you can... do not sign up for any Verizon services. I am cancelling all of my plans because of the poor treatment I have received.
    I've attached to this post the fake pricing that Verizon shows on their site. This is not the pricing they will actually charge you when you sign up. Buyer beware.

    I'm sorry you are going through this.   I hope you let Customer service know the cost is almost double what you were told.
    This seems to be a common complaint with this type of service.  I think it's a shock how much internet service we can consume.   Most customers sign up for just a few GB and keep getting hit with big overage charges.
    I use Cable internet and have a 300 GB "allowance", but they don't charge for overage.   You would think that too much and we would never come close.  But every month we are just about up to the max.   With cable TV cut to the bone, we use Streaming players a lot and they use a lot of data.
    You do have a contract you can view online.   In "My Verizon"  under "My Profile", choose Documents/receipts.
    This lists your records and view in PDF provides the details.
    I'm guessing they add equipment cost "rental" on every month .   And then the crazy high taxes and FCC fees also.
    Do they add "repeaters" inside also that they charge for monthly?

  • Crash when returning from terminal services

    I have an applet running on my XP system under 1.5.0_08. I remotely terminal service into the machine and things work fine with interacting with the applet. When I return to the local machine and login to display my existing session and start to interact with the applet window, the JVM crashes. I'm not sure if I have enough information to submit it yet. Ah.. I hate when they do that, if you are going to write an application then support it.... At least help figure out why it's failing other than just saying it should work....
    I would get on a call with them and get a Manager involved, someone there should be able to help you...
    In the mean time:
    First easiest way is search for crpe32.dll, there should only be one version and it should match the est of the file versions. Next step will tell you the versions being used.
    OK, download [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip]. what this app will do is list all of the runtime files each user has access to. You can save and then compare the list files between the  one working PC and any other user. Should help determine what is missing or the users profile doesn't have access to or not installed.
    Another option is to use ProfileMonitor from Microsoft, it will list all access issues including the registry keys that all users need to run CR.
    Can you tell me what version you are using?
    Also need to know what version of TS?
    OS it's running on?
    And work station OS?
    One more option, go to this link http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=boj and search on "invalid tlv" and it will return a bunch of know reasons why you can get that error.
    Thanks
    Don

  • Creating a "Business Service" from a WSDL: Can't initialize WsdlEntryHelper

    I'm working through a "HelloWorld" setup of Weblogic (10.0.3.5) and OSB (11.1.1.5.0) using OEPE 11.1.1.7.2.
    I have a OSB Project with a Weblogic Web Service. I've generated a WSDL and when I try to copy/paste or drag-and-drop or load the WSDL file through the Business Service Configuration I always get the following error:
    Description     Resource     Path     Location     Type
    Could not initialize class com.bea.wli.sb.resources.wsdl.helpers.WsdlEntryHelper     HelloWorldService.wsdl     /HelloWorld_SB     line 1     ALSB Synchronization Error
    If it helps, the WSDL is linked below. Any ideas? Thanks.
    http://pastie.org/3438419

    I was able to recreate the test WS project and get to the same error as before. The difference is I didn't create an EAR project nor endpoint interfaces. It published fine with this bare-bones setup.
    Can someone please take a look at my steps and see if I'm doing anything wrong and if you know how to get around it? Trying to get just the most simple local WS on OSB has taken days and I really need to get to work on something productive!
    I'm pasting my notes below, but since the forum doesn't cooperate with my spacing, I've pasted a more readable version at pastie:
    http://pastie.org/private/5dlmjcbkrjzzmurt2f04g
    STEPS FOR CREATING A TEST WS
    ============================
    1) File -> New -> WebLogic Web Services -> Web Service Project
    a) Project name: Foo_WS
    b) Location: C:\workspaces\osb\TEST0_WS
    c) Target runtime: Oralce WebLogic Servier 11gR1 PatchSet 4
    d) Default Configuration
    e) EAR Membership: unchecked
    d) Finish
    2) Under "Servers" tab, right click the WebLogic Server and add Foo_WS
    3) In the "Foo_WS" project Right click 'src' -> New WebLogic Web Service
    a) Name: Foo
    b) Package: foo
    c) Do not check 'Generate Service Endpoint Interface'
    d) Click Finish
    3) Load Foo.java
    a) Change Foo.hello() to return a String and take a String argument
    b) Change the class annotation to:
    @WebService(name = "Foo", targetNamespace = "http://foo", serviceName = "FooService", portName = "FooPort")
    4) Republish to the server
    5) Check that it is running, load "http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService?WSDL". See output:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><!-- Published by JAX-WS RI at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net. RI's version is Oracle JAX-WS 2.1.5. --><!-- Generated by JAX-WS RI at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net. RI's version is Oracle JAX-WS 2.1.5. --><definitions xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:tns="http://foo" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" targetNamespace="http://foo" name="FooService">
    <types>
    <xsd:schema>
    <xsd:import namespace="http://foo" schemaLocation="http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService?xsd=1"/>
    </xsd:schema>
    </types>
    <message name="hello">
    <part name="parameters" element="tns:hello"/>
    </message>
    <message name="helloResponse">
    <part name="parameters" element="tns:helloResponse"/>
    </message>
    <portType name="Foo">
    <operation name="hello">
    <input message="tns:hello"/>
    <output message="tns:helloResponse"/>
    </operation>
    </portType>
    <binding name="FooPortBinding" type="tns:Foo">
    <soap:binding transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http" style="document"/>
    <operation name="hello">
    <soap:operation soapAction=""/>
    <input>
    <soap:body use="literal"/>
    </input>
    <output>
    <soap:body use="literal"/>
    </output>
    </operation>
    </binding>
    <service name="FooService">
    <port name="FooPort" binding="tns:FooPortBinding">
    <soap:address location="http://localhost:7001/Foo_WS/FooService"/>
    </port>
    </service>
    </definitions>
    6) Back to OEPE: Create New OSB Configuration Project: name = Foo_Conf, ignored advanced settings, Finish
    7) Add Foo_Conf to the server and publish. Now the OWL Server 11gR1 PatchSet 4 at localhost has 2 projects: Foo_Conf and Foo_WS
    8) Create New OSB Project: Project name: Foo_SB, OSB Configuration: Foo_Conf
    9) Under Foo_WS project, right click Foo.java -> WebLogic Web Services -> Generate WSDL (created a .wsdl and .xsd)
    10) Drag-and-drop FooService.wsdl and FooService_schema1.xsd from Foo_WS to Foo_SB
    a) ERROR:
    Description Resource Path Location Type
    Could not initialize class com.bea.wli.sb.resources.wsdl.helpers.WsdlEntryHelper FooService.wsdl /Foo_SB line 1 ALSB Synchronization Error
    ...I have no idea how to procede. I've been using "The Definite Guide to SOA 2nd Edition" to guide me along. I'm stuck here because I want
    to create a business service and proxy service utilizing the first Web Service Project I made (Foo_WS).
    Any advice please?

    I use WebLogic 10.3.4 with JDeveloper 11g Release 1 and the current Oracle SOA Suite 11g.
    I can deploy a simple composite with a BPEL service. However, If I use my complex BPEL composite, I always get the following stack trace on deployment (it validates perfectly within the editor):

  • Congratulations Apple Customer Service!

    So, like a good little Steve Jobs acolyte, I sat around patiently waiting for the latest iPod Updater, vainly hoping that Apple would take the opportunity to fix a HIGHLY annoying bug that is exclusive to the iPod 5G software.
    Alas, I should have known better. While renowned for its ability to make beautiful, easy to use, dare i say life changing computers and computer peripherals, Apple is also infamous for its SUCKY customer service.
    I'm not talking about a wish list for touch screens, iPod phones, etc. I mean a bona fide problem with the software.
    In a nutshell, this weird glitch is as follows: if you have an artist with two songs, only one of which has album info in the tags, then when trying to browse your music by "Artist", ONLY THE SONG WITH ALBUM INFO SHOWS UP. The other song is there - you can get to it by browsing by "Songs". Not a big deal if you have only a 100 songs, but when you have thousands, with many that are single tracks with no album info, this presents a problem. A HUGELY annoying problem. I know from testing that the nano, mini and prior versions of the iPod do not have this problem. Only the 5G. Oh, careful internet searching reveals that others have this problem too, so it's not just my unit.
    Emails (note plural) to Apple customer service have gone unanswered. And whoever coined the term "Genius Bar" has a truly demented sense of humor.
    Again, congratulations to Apple for living up to their standards of mediocrity for customer care. You should be proud!!

    While I appreciate the spirit of this post, especially as my original post was admittedly snarky, I must point out...
    High customer satisfaction DOES NOT EQUAL good/great customer service.
    Customers should be satisfied with the iPod right out of the box - it's a great product. And Apple surely deserves the brand recognition - it has created something with deep cultural resonance. These are the items pointed out in your news release.
    But who are we kidding? How many customers had iPods that were expensive paperweights once their batteries died. Apple initially refused to replace these batteries, much to the chagrin of those users (I applaud Apple's decision to reverse course on this). There are other instances of poor customer SERVICE that I won't bother to point out.

  • Disappointment with Apple customer service's response to my iMac G5 issues

    The following is a copy of the letter that I will be sending to Apple in regards to my recent dealings with customer service. What do you guys think I should do?
    To whom it may concern:
    Let me begin by saying that I have been a loyal and avid fan of the Mac since 1999. I have converted several of my PC friends to the Mac, and I would consider myself to be the quintessential Mac "geek" (posters, T-shirts, you name it). I have owned a Macintosh LC 575, Power Macintosh G3 (Blue & White) and Power Mac G4 Cube, in addition to my current machine, an iMac G5. However, my recent experiences with Apple customer support have left me thinking that maybe the Mac way is not the smooth, customer-first experience that I thought it was.
    As I mentioned, I currently am using an iMac G5 (rev. A, 20" 1.8 GHz). Unfortunately, the iMac was a victim of the well-documented power supply issue (http://www.apple.com/support/imac/re...ensionprogram/) several months back. The power supply would heat up to such high temperatures that it eventually burned out, and I could not power on the machine. I brought it in to my local Apple Store (Oakbrook, IL), whereupon they wrote up a repair order, and I had my Mac back within 4 days, all without paying a penny. "Wow, excellent no-hassle service," I thought, and rightfully so.
    Over the last couple of months, my iMac has further developed a couple of smaller, but still annoying and "not-very-Apple-like" issues. First, the fans have developed a consistent, cricket-like squeak - that is, you can hear the fans turning, sort of like an old wheel that needs oil. In my quiet office, it is VERY obvious, and is especially distressing when I'm trying to do audio and MIDI work. The second issue is that the slot-loading Superdrive has gotten to the point where discs that are being ejected often fly out of the slot and do not stop, falling onto the top of my desk, or occasionally clear off the desk onto the floor.
    A few days ago, I decided that I had had enough with both issues, and decided to initiate a chat with a support agent on Apple's iMac support web page. After explaining the issues to the agent, I was transferred to a "specialist," to whom I then had to re-explain the issues. Further irritating me was the fact that they provided me no solution other than to visit my local Apple Store, and they would further diagnose the system.
    So tonight I headed over to the Apple Store Oakbrook with the iMac in tow (mind you, not the lightest thing to be carrying around, and a pain to have to disconnect peripherals etc.). I had made an appointment prior to showing up...in fact, Apple's new Concierge system seemed very elegant and user-friendly, and I was able to make a 7:20pm appointment at around 2:30pm. I made it to the Apple Store at about 6:50pm, and saw my name listed on the Genius Bar screens as being 2nd in line. There was a man with a 15" PowerBook that was being helped by the Genius behind the bar, so I sat and waited patiently. About 40 minutes into my wait, a woman with an iPod mini walked up to the bar, seemingly waiting for assistance. Within two minutes, another Apple employee approached her, briefly looked at me and asked if I was waiting for help. When I said I needed assistance with my iMac, he told me that I would have to wait for the next Genius, turned to the woman with the iPod mini and proceeded to diagnose her problem.
    Further irritated, I waited another 10 minutes or so, at which point the same employee turned his attention to me. I explained the fan and Superdrive issues to him, and he took the iMac to the back room for another employee to take a look at it. About 10 minutes later, he came back out with the iMac and said something to me that just floored me. He told me that his colleague that looked at it could not find anything inherently wrong with the fans, and that "since it's not a Pro desktop, there are bound to be squeaks in the fan system" (almost verbatim what he said). He said that they cleaned the fans, and tightened the eject mechanism in the Superdrive, and that if I continue to have issues with it to bring it back in and they will further diagnose it.
    The message I have taken from this experience is two-fold. First, Apple has officially gone from being a computer company to a consumer electronics company. The fact that I literally was skipped over after waiting 40 minutes and pushed aside for an iPod user who had waited TWO minutes and was not in the Genius Bar queue shows that Apple's priorities have shifted. Secondly, Apple does not truly back the quality and craftsmanship on which they pride themselves. Just because I do not own a "Pro desktop," that should not mean that a squeaky fan system is an acceptable situation. I bought an $1,800 computer that was advertised as "whisper-quiet" and I should not have to pay $3,000+ just to be reassured that I will be taken care of. I expect excuses and glancing over of issues by companies like Dell that make cheap bare-bones systems. I do not expect that from Apple - if Apple is going to hold themselves to a higher standard, they should back up that talk with true customer-first service.
    So I am now sitting in front of my rickety-sounding iMac, wondering what my next step should be. I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and I would further appreciate a follow-up and resolution to this situation.
    Thoughts?

    Send it. I feel for you, but the most sympathy you'll get is from fellow users on this board. These forums were one of the best ideas by Apple. Whoever thought it up is probably getting 1% of iPod sales as commission. Besides users helping users so Apple doesn't have to handle nearly as much tech support directly, this board is also a place for people to vent so Apple doesn't have to address your concerns. I'm not saying these boards are a bad thing ... they are very helpful, but you have better odds at winning the lottery grand prize than you do to get a reply back from Apple from a letter like this.

  • HTTPS and client invocation of web service - how to?

    Got some web services that are document and document wrapped. Have generated the
    client stubs using <clientgen> ANT task from BEA. Time to run a test against
    the web services, but they have to run on HTTPS. When I invoked my web service
    using the HTTPS://.... URL, I got this:

    Cool. So how do I assign a default CERT to the https client? This is on a developer
    instance of WL 8.1. I don't want to run the test on HTTP b/c I need to see how
    it works with HTTPS (need to simulate a bona fide downstream user). Any help

    Hi Jacob,
    Take a look at the simple, one way SSL example [1] however it sounds
    like you want to have the client provide a cert back to the server,
    implying two-way SSL. You can find a two-way example here [2].

    I am the single user of the machine and thus its administrator. I understand that a login keychain is set up on login, but I also have a keychain called my username. Do I need this? All I want is the absolute basic setup - number of keychains, locked - yes or no? etc etc
    I want to store a single password - my internet mail access password. Should this be stored in my login keychain or another one (eg: my username keychain).
    Long time Mac user, but never had to deal with this stuff until 10.4.9 came to town...
    Cheers
    PowerBook G4 17   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   1Gb RAM + Lacie External Firewire HD

    Glad to help clarify for you. The 10.4.9 update isn't at fault for keychain problems. If users have keychain problems they need to look elsewhere than a system update.
    Everyone who posts on these forums has a problem, but that doesn't mean the problem is widespread, universal, or due to some update (although that is possible in some cases.) The other side of the story are the thousands of users who have no problems and don't post on these forums for that reason.
    I've been using Mac OS since 1986 and Mac OS X since it's original beta release. So far I've never had a keychain problem of any kind on any Mac I've used. If you maintain your system you shouldn't have any problems either.
    Passwords and keychains have been a part of OS X always. You can't create a user account without them. The keychain, however, is a relatively transparent component with which the user rarely if ever has to deal.
    And, although I've never used Windows all that much, I know it well enough to know that it, too, uses passwords and wallets (their word for keychains.) They are a fact of life on any multi-user operating system.
    Kappy's Personal Suggestions for OS X Maintenance
    For disk repairs use Disk Utility. For situations DU cannot handle the best third-party utilities are: Disk Warrior; DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.0 is now Intel Mac compatible. TechTool Pro provides additional repair options including file repair and recovery, system diagnostics, and disk defragmentation. TechTool Pro 4.5.2 is Intel Mac compatible; Drive Genius is similar to TechTool Pro in terms of the various repair services provided. The current version, 1.5.1, is Intel Mac compatible.
    OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) If this isn't the case, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep.
    OS X automatically defrags files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive. As for virus protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. You can protect the computer easily using the freeware Open Source virus protection software ClamXAV. Personally I would avoid most commercial anti-virus software because of their potential for causing problems.
    I would also recommend downloading the shareware utility TinkerTool System that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old logfiles and archives, clearing caches, etc.
    For emergency repairs install the freeware utility Applejack. If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the commandline.
    When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand. I also recommend booting into safe mode before doing system software updates.
    Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
    1. Retrospect Desktop (Commercial - not yet universal binary)
    2. Synchronize! Pro X (Commercial)
    3. Synk (Backup, Standard, or Pro)
    4. Deja Vu (Shareware)
    5. PsynchX 2.1.1 and RsyncX 2.1 (Freeware)
    6. Carbon Copy Cloner (Freeware - 3.0 is a Universal Binary)
    The following utilities can also be used for backup, but cannot create bootable clones:
    1. Backup (requires a .Mac account with Apple both to get the software and to use it.)
    2. Toast
    3. Impression
    4. arRSync
    Apple's Backup is a full backup tool capable of also backing up across multiple media such as CD/DVD. However, it cannot create bootable backups. It is primarily an "archiving" utility as are the other two.
    Impression and Toast are disk image based backups, only. Particularly useful if you need to backup to CD/DVD across multiple media.
    Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on maintenance, optimization, virus protection, and backup and restore.

  • ADF page calling Web Service with multiple params the right way

    Hello,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.4.0.
    I have an email notification web service that takes 4 parameters, from, to, subject and body. What I need to do is at the end of each 'Commit', call this web service to send notification to a group of audiences telling them a new record has been created. Following are steps I took to make it work:
    1. Created a web service data control using the email notification WSDL.
    2. Drag-and-Drop the data control on jspx page as ADF Parameter form.
    3. Set Panel Form Layout's Visible property to 'False' so the controls doesn't show.
    4. In a backingbean where method 'onSave()' is, I put the code to call the web service.
    // in onSave() method after successful commit
          ValueExpression veFrom =
              efactory.createValueExpression(elctx, "#{bindings.from.inputValue}", Object.class);
          veFrom.setValue(elctx, "[email protected]");
          ValueExpression veTo =
              efactory.createValueExpression(elctx, "#{bindings.to.inputValue}", Object.class);
          veTo.setValue(elctx, "[email protected]");
    // omitted rest of the params for brevity
          OperationBinding method = bindings.getOperationBinding("process");
          method.execute();This code works, but I am not sure if I am doing it right. For some reason, there is a better way of achieving what I need.
    Many thanks in advance for your candid comments and suggestions.

    Hi,
    As you have dropped a method in the JSPX page as a parameter form, it adds unnecessary UI components, that you will NOT be using.
    Instead of making the panelFormLayout visible property to false, delete it from the UI page.
    Thus, you would have only the required method binding and the parameters defined as attribute values in the pageDef - which is as expected.
    While deleting the panelFormLayout, delete it manually from the page source and doNOT delete thru the structure pane as it would delete the bindings as well.
    Thanks,
    Navaneeth

  • How to use bone tool without getting my vector/object distort?

    Wish to get some help here. I drawn my human body figure using pen tool. I connect the bone tool directly without separating the part of (hand,legs and head) into symbol. After that, I try to move the hand but it get distort. Not just the hand but the body and head also getting distort as well. Do we need to necessary convert the body parts to symbol first before connecting the bone? Thanks.

    > So, is it right if I say that the services available in the backend are already implemented? And just creating an endpoint for them would make them ready for use?
    Yes: kind of instant services
    > Also if I consume a service, say, 'CreateSalesOrder_In' for example, will it create entries in all my Sales order relevant tables (VBAK, VBAP) automatically using a BAPI internally?
    The service has the task to do all necessary steps, whether with or without using a BAPI.
    > Actually,  I have these doubts because during my time at SAP Labs (for the composites team in BusinesByDesign), I used to create business objects in the ESR and create an implementation for the same in the backend using BOPF. But now, in the customer scenario, where a full fledged ECC implementation is used, I am unaware as to how the services would update the tables or even read the relevant data.
    My consumer view on aservice is that I do not have to know how the service works, just need to know how to call it.

  • Very poor customer service!

    My wife and I have just switched from AT&T Wireless to Verizon as we will be spending the next year in an area of California that only Verizon covers!
    After being with the same company for about 15yrs (ATT&T Wireless was called Cingular before 2005 ) I have to say my 1st experience with Verizon's customer service today was appalling!! I spoke with the 1st person who I had pass me on to a Supervisor and after hitting a brick wall with her another Manager and the attitude was terrible!! really terrible!!
    When we went into the store and made the "switch" (2 x iphone 5's, share everything deal 6gb data etc, we had the sales person write down on a piece of paper everything that we would pay, But, when we got the bill there was 2 x $35 activation fee's ($70 total) and even though as all 3 (so called) "customer" service reps kept on reminding me "it is on the paperwork that you signed sir!" (in a very arrogant tone I might add) they failed to understand the very 1st thing about Customer Service and TWO of them where Managers!!!!
    I'm not disputing that I signed a contract and that somewhere in that contract it states that we have to pay two $35 activation fee's but the fact that they where totally dismissive about what we had been told & what the Sales person had written down by just saying "well, I wasn't there so I don't know what was "actually" said" Basically this is the same as saying my wife and me where "lying" or they just didn't believe us!!!!!
    I deal with clients all the time as my wife does in her business and the 1st rule of thumb in Customer Service "101", "keep the client happy" and even if you can't, never be arrogant or insulting and never,EVER say "well sir I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do for you" because you can bet your life if that was a Sales person trying to get you to sign up with them they would be bending over backwards to make it work. If you can't help in one area help in another "I'm afraid we can't waive those fee's sir but what I will do is put a $50 credit in your account as I understand that you where misled and we value you as a customer" Always compromise and grease the wheel, thats the way business is done!!
    In all the years with AT&T whenever we had a billing issue they would (within reason) take the disputed amount off our bill or throw us a bone in another way to keep us happy as customers!!
    1st impressions at Verizon is they have NO IDEA what Customer Service is!!!
    A very disgruntled NEW Verizon customer!!

    please remember I am a customer just like you. Now having said that why do you think you should have two activation fees waived because you had the sales person tell you that you would have to pay them?
    by reading your account of what transpired I have the impression that because you called verizon and did not like the fees they should throw you "A Bone" and remove the two fees of $35 each line.
    In this case I would say no that isn't going to happen and you knew the prices when you signed up for service.
    There is no entitlement feature when you buy service, verizon would have to give that same bone to others that call and say they shouldn't pay the activation fee. which is not going to happen.
    if you had a legitimate over charge or a double charge than I would say you are in the right. but not in this case.
    And the customer is not always right, customers will lie, they will cry, they will make up any excuse they can to have any company give them what they ask. That is no way to keep a customer happy. its fraud and deceit against a business.

  • Nav Services Open Dialogue Bug

    TextWrangler 2.1.3 and OSX 10.4.7 result in sporadic TW crashes when opening files within TW.
    I sent BareBones the crash log, and they said it is a known bug in OSX Nav Services, and occurs with any app using the Open dialogue.
    I'm experiencing about 4 crashes a day using TW, whereas before the last update it was only about 4 a year.
    To confirm it wasn't my system, I did a complete reinstall from scratch using the Apple DVDs, and remaking all my preferences and pw by hand.
    The bug is still there.
    Question: When will Apple fix this so that excellent apps like BBEdit and TW can run smoothly without this annoying bug.
    Will it be fixed for Tiger users on the next update?
    Please Apple, it's very irritating.

    By way of a bump, here's what BareBones said about this OSX bug;
    "Nav Services is part of Mac OS X, and this is a known bug in that part of the system. [It] may occur randomly any time you use the Open dialog. It's certainly possible that this bug could be fixed, but since it's in the system, that isn't something we can do; it will have to be addressed by Apple."

  • My 9220 restarts and switch off itself and service center can't fix it.

    I'm in need of help. My BB frequently turns off by itself, even if there are no applications running. I tried to restart it by pressing the power button, but that never worked. I had to hard restart it by taking off the battery and then putting it back on again. I need to do this around 2 or 3 times (only once if i'm lucky) to get it to turn back on. The frustrating part is when it shuts itself down again only a couple minutes after I had managed to turn it on again.
    I took it to service center and there they collected it but since last 1.5 Months i am trying to get my phone but they say that we didn't fixed it.
    Please help me.

    Without the device in your hands, it's rather useless to have advice since you cannot carry it out. But, since you desire it, here are some things you can try. I do not know which, if any, will work for your situation.
    I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
    KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
    It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
    If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
    But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
    You may also need the use of these tricks:
    KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
    KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any state
    http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry
    On the chance that your battery may be causal, please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
    With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
    Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
    Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
    It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
    Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
    Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
    The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
    Good luck and let us know!
