No Service Book Entries for 7100G

Like an **bleep** I forgot my password and of course after attempting it 10 x and being wrong the device wiped itself clean. Fortunately, I did a back up like a month ago and didn't lose any of my contacts but now my browser isn't working. The message says there are no service book entries for the browser. Prior to my little mishap the browser was working fine. Can anyone help??

Contact your wireless provider support team and ask them to push service books to your device wirelessly.

    i have a BB 8520 and i accidentely deleted almost everyting from the SERVICE BOOK enrty. now if i want to open Twitter it says - "could not find a service book entry for IPPP". if i try to open BB app world it says - "please contact your service provider to upgrade ur data plan".  Same goes for Facebook application. however i have a unlimited data plan. luckily my BB msger is still working... apps like TOI, NDTV still works....

    Have you tried the following:-
    1) battery pull - remove battery, wait 30 seconds, reinsert battery and wait for phone to restart
    2) reregister handset - Menu - Options - Host Routing Table - Menu Key - Register Handset
    3) Log onto Vodafone's BIS website (assuming UK user -http://www.mobileemail.vodafone.net/) - go to Help and select "Resend Service Books"

    I accidentally deleted my service book entries on my BB Pearl 8100. How can I have them back?

    Please reboot the phone by removing the battery and placing it back then check for the Service Books, if you still don't see them, contact your carrier and ask them to send you all the Service Books you need for the BIS service.

    I had to get a replacement blackberry beacuse mine broke.  So I got it today and programed it today I try to go on the inter net and I get this error message. Your device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries. Whats this mean?????

    Hi there!
    I suggest the following steps:
    1) Register HRT
    Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
    2) Resend Service Books
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your carrier to see where they are in the process of shifting your BIS account from your old BB over to your new one.

  • FF not connecting to web- This "Network Connections" message pops up: Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. Any ideas?

    About a month ago I could no longer connect to the internet on our PC. Every time I clicked on the Firefox icon the Netscape sign-on window would pop up. I would try to close it but it would pop up over and over again. If I tried to close it a dozen or so times eventually Firefox would open up but it would never connect. Just today I moved my Netscape file to the recycle bin. No longer does the Netscape sign-on window pop up but following Network Connection error message pops up: "Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection".. This error window behaves the same way the Netscape sign-on window used to behave. Every time I click to close it it pops open again. After numerous clicks Firefox opens up but it never connects.

    Do you have this error message on a Mac computer or on a Windows computer?
    I've only seen this error mentioned on a Windows computer.

  • Address Book entries for members of the same household?

    Has anyone a solution for the problem where you have multiple people living at one address, but you want all their separate work/mobile numbers and email addresses stored for syncing with your phone?
    For example, I currently have separate entries for Mr and Mrs Smith with their mobile and work numbers and email addresses, but then in order to have a mailing label for printing out Christmas cards, I need to have a third separate entry entitled "Mr & Mrs Smith" with their home address.
    This seems like a cumbersome solution - have any of you found a better workaround?

    How can I group several individual people in my address book into a group to collectively send them a msg without adding each one separately?

    Look under Address Book/File - there should be an option to create a new group.

  • Service book icon - ATTN: cpt_Sweatpants, can you help?

    Can someone help me?  I have a Curve, version 4.5.0.77, platform 3.2.0.51.  The service book icon has appeared on my home screen with the #2 beside it.  After reasearch, I went in to the Service book to "accept" so as to clear the icon, but all the Service book entries already have a check mark - none of them are waiting to be "accepted".  I have powered off and popped the battery with no result.  Any ideas??  Thank you.

    Powering off your BlackBerry and removing the battery, reinserting really doesn't do anything.
    Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    Once rebooted, if the service book notification still remains, check your main Messages folder. At the top of the message listing, press the U key to go to the first Unread message, and U again for the next, etc.

    While entry of Vendor Bill thru Tcode FB60, forgot entry of service Tax.
    Also Payment made by Cheque for Vendor Bill.
    Now how to enter Service TAx entry for that Bill.
    It is not possible to reverse Payment entry. So it is not possible to reverse Vendor Bill entry also.
    WHat is a way out for service tax entry now

    if it is calculating service tax manuaaly
    then go to TCode F-02/F-43 then slect post with reference the select the service tax g/l a/c & post the required amount
    or
    otherwise you can book a JV as mentioned above

  • Internet Browser Not Working despite re-sending service book...

    Can someone please help?
    The web browser is not working on my Pearl.
    I am with O2 and have been in the O2 shop for an hour today and on the phone to various people at customer services and still no joy on my Blackberry problem.
    The internet browser is not working. My e-mail has been set up and i can recieve mails only, but not send them. The error code: YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIG SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES, or when I try and send an e-mail, NO MESSAGE SERVICE CONFIG appears, despite re-sending service book codes, plus also turning my phone off, and taking the battery off several times whilst in the O2 shop and then at home when on the phone to customer services.
    The people at my network are stumped, and so am I!
    Please, any solutions?

  • Not Service Book in 9630

    All, I need your experities. I brought unlocked 9630 from Sprint for my ATT SIM. When I inserted my ATT SIM card. I am able text and make call, however when I try to browse. I got error says " Your Device doe not Currently have any browser Connfiguration Service Book entries. Please contact you service provider to enable the browser on your device" By the way, I have blackberry data plan and I try use my friend's unlocked blackberry. It allowes me to browser internet. please advice. Many Thanks.

    You should only have this service book on your device if you are or were previously on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
    As a workaround you could also backup and security wipe the device then attempt restoring the address book once again:

    If it still fails there may be an issue with the backup.

    I live in ethiopia I am using a BB 8100 and my opera mini Works just fine my problem is this when I (while using the opera mini browser) click the link to download google maps the default blackberry browser automatically starts up and I then get the message saying "you device dose not currently have any browser configuration service book entries" that I get the message in the blackberry why their browser doesn't work for me does any one know if its possible to install google maps from my opera mini can I get service book

    Wow...challenging sentence to read without punctuation. But I think I understand your issue. Here's the deal.
    You have a generic data plan from your carrier. This is as opposed to a BB-specific data plan, which would enable the native BB Browser. Without that data plan, your BB cannot receive the Service Books that would enable the BB Browser. See this FAQ for helpful information:

    The "fix" is to get a BB-level data plan from your carrier...if they offer such and if they support your specific model BB. If they don't offer BB data plans, then you are stuck with a BB with hobbled functionality. If they offer BB data plans but don't support your BB model, you may still have challenges as the Service Books are BB Model specific.

  • Address Book entries unusable in Outlook

    Hello all,
    I have updated iTunes, iPhone and Outlook to the most current software versions.
    Here is my problem. Whenever I add or update an existing contact on my iPhone and then sync it to Outlook on my PC the address book entry (email) for that contact becomes unusable. If you try to edit or delete the address book entry you get the message "an invalid ENTRYID was passed in". If you try to use the address book entry to send an email it fails because it can't resolve the address book entry to an email address. This only happens with contacts sync'ed from the iPhone to Outlook. Even if I create the entry in Outlook, but edit it on the iPhone, like adding a picture to the contact, the next time it syncs to Outlook the address book entry for that contact then becomes unusable. I can repeat this problem over and over on my PC with my iPhone and on my wifes PC with her iPhone. I opened a ticket with Apple, but that went where I expected it to go which was nowhere. Googling shows that many others are having the same or a similiar problem. Any ideas on a permanent fix ? Is this a known bug ?

    While Apple has never said anything official, my observations point to a problem in 1.1.3 where an entry created on the phone that did not have a first and last name did not create a proper index entry in the Outlook contact database. The problem (for me) was fixed in 1.1.4, but entries made in 1.1.3 were still corrupt. You can fix the broken records in the contact database by exporting the PST file, then importing it (in Outlook).

  • When importing my address book from Outlook why do I have multiple entries for the same contact?

    I have an address book and it contains one list in Outlook. I just downloaded Thunderbird and imported my address book. The address book and one list imported very easily but there are anywhere from 3-5 entries for each person in my contacts. If I delete the extras they are removed from my list as well. Why are there multiple listings for each contact and how can I remove the duplicates without losing my list entries?

    as I was looking thru pictures in my finder I noticed there were several copies of the same pictures I had taken yesterday. I just went thru all Seven copies of the pictures (accidental pics of my hands and the desk etc) and right clicked and moved  them to trash, then I thought I'd look it up when I realized its not just these pics, but very many had een stored in groups of three or four.
    1. Why is that?
    Depends on where you saw them - If they were in the iPhoto library iPHoto has either two or three different versions (no duplicates) or each photos in its library - this is not optional and can not be changed  --  If they were not in the iPhoto library then you can do what you please with them and they have nothing to do with iPhoto - iPhoto is only involved with the photos in its library
    2. Why is it advised to NEVER make changes to the structure or contents of iPhoto in Finder?

    "I would suggest using one of the proven safe programs - if you are going to manually remove them be sure to remember that you NEVER make any chnages to the structure or contents of the iPhoto library using the finder - only make changes using iPhoto"
    Very simple - if you do you will destroy your iPhoto library and have to start over losing all work you have done in iPhoto - The iPHoto library is a SQLite database and there are NO user servicable parts in the iPhoto library and any changes made using teh finder will corrupt the database and cause dataloss
