"No Service" on iPad

I use iPad (original),,, It was becoming 'searching' signal... now today, it became 'no service.'
How to fix it?

Okay, so I updated to 4.3.1 and it didn't help. Still showing no service. I haven't purchased the plan yet, but I don't want to in the case that it needs to be repaired or something. I would then be out of the plan before I was able to get it fixed.
When you say "havent purchased the plan yet", are you talking about the data service plan ?

hi,i cannot turn on or off my location services on ipad 3 using iOS 8.0.2
    thanks

    Hi roydoum,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear what you are seeing or what is happening when you try to turn Location Services on or off (what state is it currently in?). If you are having issues with Location Services, you may find the following article helpful (it is aimed at iOS 7, but the steps should be the same in iOS 8):
    iOS 7: Understanding Location Services
If you haven't already, you may also want to try resetting your device:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

  • No service on IPad 2 after upgrade to IOS 8. Waited a month to try it. A restart brings connectivity back for a while. If the iPad 2 was too old to receive this upgrade it should have been excluded from it.

Upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8. Waited a month as I saw all the problems other users were having. Now I am with them. No service. Connectivity restored only after a restart . These are necessary frequently. Last week I had a fully functioning iPad now I do not.
If the IPad 2 was not capable of handling the upgrade it should have been excluded. I have read the fixes, tried some, apprehensive about trying others. Why should the customers have to work to fix an upgrade meant to improve performance?
Any news on an IOS fix?
Any solutions other than wiping out  everything and starting over? Have seen that several times. Backing up, wiping clean, refreshing, restoring...why do we have to struggle?
i am spending way too much time trying to get my iPad back to what I had. I am sure the genius bar is packed with iphone 6 users and the new edition iPads. No room for folks with "old" ones. And if I try something and fail then I have nothing at all.
Hoping for a "fix" from Apple as well as any ideas.

    Hello, ik31.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.

  • Can't find Adobe Collage in location services on iPad, and can't import photos from library

Why am I not able to find Adobe Collage in location services on my iPad? And why can't I import photos from my photo library on my iPad?
    Best regards
    Joachim Mortensen

It should appear at or near the top of the list in your Location Services panel under Privacy:
Were you by chance searching for it in the ‘C’s under Collage? The offical name is “Adobe Collage”
If you have Adobe Collage installed, but it isn't here, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

  • Linking blackberry service to iPad

is there a way to use my corporate bberry phones 3G service to connect my iPad to the web and to retrieve bberry emails?

For connecting to the web, possibly, if your Blackberry supports tethering via WiFi. Connecting to BB mail, I don't believe that's possible from an iOS device, but someone else here might know of a way.

TV catch up services such as Iplayer, ITV player are unavailable on my Ipad I just get an error message saying I must be in the UK to view them . All my settings are for the UK, can anyone help please, everything is available on my PC .
    I have Ipad 4 I think versin 8.1.2

    Hello Betty!
If deggie idea did not work for you, my next suggestion is to synchronise your ipad with your Mac or PC through iTunes.
Off the top of my head, I think you should be able to get to the TV episode through Video app on iPad, but if that did not work for you, try looking in the iPod app. I know, that probably sounds funny as most think of iPod as an Audio/MP3 player. It kind of threw me at first too.
Video Podcasts appear in the iPod app, and the Video app, I worked out.
If you decide to synch the iPad, have a look under "Purchased on iPad" in the Playlists section on the left sidebar in iTunes.
    So:
    1. Check if the episode appears in Video app.
    2. Check if it appears in iPod app.
    3. Synchronise with iTunes, and see if it appears in "Purchased on iPad" playlist.
    Hope this helps.

  • Geotagging (GPS) services with iPad WiFi?

So my question is: if I enable the Personal Hotspot (tethering) on my iPhone and I connect an iPad WiFi to the iPhone, I can start surfing with the iPad, and this is nice. But which are the disadvantages compared to an iPad 3G?
    - during surfing with the iPad, I also use the iPhone's battery
    - I also use the amount of downloadable MB/GB available for my iPhone
Other disadvantages? Can I ask the iPad to show my position in Maps?

    rbrylawski wrote:
If you are moving, it will be virtually impossible to use a GPS service and maintain access to wifi on iPad alone.  If you have a wifi only iPad, there are ways to add a consistent wifi hotspot to your iPad.  One way is tether an iPhone to your iPad (you need a tethering plan from your carrier, if offered and at additional cost), or you could purchase a Mifi (a portable service which you can take with you anywhere like an iPhone to power your iPad's data connection.  Mifi's are sold by most major carriers and come with monthly data plans.
WiFi is not required for navigation.

  • 3G Service for iPad?

I am looking into purchasing a iPad. Just moved to UK a year ago from the states. What is the process for having 3G service for an iPad in UK and is it expensive? Also, if you travel in Europe, does it cost a lot if you are outside UK?

Start with this article for a good overview: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2010/may/11/ipad-3g-uk-network-best
Also, if you travel in Europe, does it cost a lot if you are outside UK?
Yes. Vodafone is offering roaming deals for using your iPad 3G abroad, starting at £9.99 per day for up to 50MB of data. Read more: http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/best-uk-ipad-3g-tariffs-vodafone-orange-and-o2-c ompared-49305654/#ixzz12wTiVRhq

  • Location services on iPad 3rd gen with wifi not working.

We use iZettle for business payment solution at our store, and we switch between iPhone 5s and iPad 3rd generation... The phone is working, but the iPad that is stationary at our shop ALWAYS fails when we resync the bank terminal. Most likely because the Location services is showing a place far away from where we are...
We get the ipad to work after hours spent to reset Network settings and a lot of things... But we cannot do business this way... I am sad to say, be we are thinking of going to Samsung Galaxy or something... Because this is ridiculous...
I think Apple should fix this in some way...

Location services cause problem because of the wifi network: iPad relies on databases of location of wifi router, and the router you have was probably used somewhere "far away" before. You have 2 options:
    change router and network name
or sell your iPad 3rd Generation wifi model and get a (second hand) iPad erg gen cellular model. it should cost about 50$ more than what you sold the iPad at. you won't need an access plan, the cellular model has a GPS chip that will solve your problems. (unless the building you're in is full of concrete, preventing GPS communication: check if phones in the building can access GPS before "changing" iPads.

  • User reviews, feedback on Sprint cellular service for iPad

I'm just wondering what people have to say about Sprint's service. I am looking at a nice price for an iPad 4 with Sprint Cellular service, but I don't use a smartphone, so I have no basis for comparison between carriers.
    I appreciate any feedback,

  • Sprint service on iPad Air

I received my iPad Air with a Sprint SIM in it on Friday.  I tried to activate cellular service but the iPad kept saying "no service" or "searching".  I spoke with Sprint on Saturday to no avail.  The numbers they were putting in didn't work and they told me to take it to a Sprint store.  I did so today and they tried various things.  They finally called Sprint and were told that my MEID isn't in the Sprint database.  The ICCID (for the SIM card) serial number was okay.  It will take Sprint up to 72 hours to work the new trouble ticket and add the MEID to their database.  Sprint said it was a fault of the communication between Apple and Sprint when letting Sprint know what MEIDs were associated with Sprint.  I'll know in a couple of days whether this was the actual problem or not but I'm hoping so.
I just wanted to pass this along in case someone else has the same problem with Sprint serice or some other carrier.  It is possible that the same thing happened to you.

Unless you purchased a Sprint-model iPad, then as AmishCake said, you cannot. If you do have a Sprint-model iPad, post back with details about the problem and someone can probably offer suggestions. If you not have a Sprint-model iPad, then a "MiFi" device for Sprint or tethering through a Sprint cellphone will be your only options.
    Regards.

  • How many servers need to be added in order to service 127 iPads going online?

I was wondering if anyone knows how many servers would be needed to provide the resources for 127 iPads to go online.

Give us a picture of the load.
Are they all going to sync to the same computer with different user accounts?
In which case 1 server is going to need lots of storage.
Are you just using it to manage Profiles - a mini will suffice
Are you going to use it to manage Profiles and link in with Mail, Cal, Address & VPN - depending on the active load - a mini might suffice or you will want something bigger.
How complex do you want your managment to be - are you integrating with AD, or setting up a stand alone OD to handle this?
Are you going to be using WebDav?
Are you going to be hosting files via HTTP for the iPads or setting up resources via the Wiki's / Blogs (although you still cannot edit them...)
I certainly plan on supporting 100+ iPads via Profile Manager on an iPad - but I doubt if I will be running Mail, VPN, Cal or Address books - I want them to hook into an exchange server instead for that info.
If you want a more informed opinion - give us a much more realistic overview of your network, your proposed deployment structure and expected utilisation.
