The passport plan has nothing to do with whether you get service, it only controls how much you are charged. Since you say it was working and now isn't, it is most likely either an issue with your phone or the foreign wireless carrier. Things to try are reboot your phone or reset network settings or take out and reseat the sim card.

  • Customer Service while traveling Internationally

I am currently on business in India and would like to contact customer service but am unable to do so through the 1-800 number. I have sent e mails through the website but have received no response. My inquiries are regarding possible international calling plans that would allow me to not be charged full roaming fees. I have an HTC Droid Eris which is not a world phone but still works here, apparently because of other CDMA networks here. I would also like to pay my bill for this month but am apprehensive to do so online because of India being known for very poor internet security and frequent credit card scamming. Any response would be very appreciated.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble contacting Customer Service while traveling internationally. I have researched some information and will be glad to  provide you with a number you can contact Customer Service while out of the United States.
    CDMA – 1 908-559-4899
    GSM - 1 908-559-4899
You can also dial 908-559-4899 from a non Verizon Wireless device or landline.
I hope this information is helpful to you! Please let us know if you are still experiencing difficulties contacting Verizon Wireless.

  • SSRS in SharePoint Mode: Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services [not true]

    Hello,
We are experiencing some issues with SharePoint 2013 which is driving me insane.
We have a deployment with two SQL Servers (HA groups) and four SharePoint servers: 2 Application servers, and 2 Web FrontEnd servers.
We installed SSRS for SharePoint in both application servers. The disc I have used is the MSDN image of SQL Enterprise 2012 w/ SP2.
    ISO name: en_sql_server_2012_enterprise_edition_with_service_pack_2_x64_dvd_4685849.iso
    MD5: 003e14c55fa648ad15f8be1e2439bd06
The installation completes without any problems. We can start the SSRS SharePoint Service in the first application server without any issues. However when we try to start the second one, we get the following error:
Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services. This edition only supports one instance of the sql reporting services service in the farm. The SQL Server Reporting Services cannot be started on
this server unless it is stopped on all other servers in the farm.
Now I am at a loss here. As I mentioned, we have used an image of SQL Server Enterprise. This is the same image we used on other environment, which worked as expected (we got no such error).
I have included the text related to the correlation error from the SP logs below.
Has anyone ever seen this issue before? Very, very strange!
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi Wynn,
I appreciate your attempt to address my concerns, but even your reply seems to ignore the fact that I have not only provided the name of the ISO, but the MD5 checksum of the ISO as well. Also this is the first time I am being asked to double-check the version
of SSRS. The first reply I got to my query simply disregarded the version mismatch.
As per your request, I have checked under the folder you have specified (C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\WebServices\LogFiles), but unfortunately there are no files under this folder in neither of my two application
    servers.
    We only have logfiles under C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
Is there a way I can turn those logs on?

  • Can we configure EAS and Shared services wih out a Database

    Hi All,
Can any one please let me know if we can configure Essbase administration servies ans Shared services with out giving Database details while configuring.
If Database schema is not yet ready to use, is it possible to configure EAS and login to Essbase to create an outline with dimension building and Dataloading.
    Regards

    Hi,
I doubt it as when you start up the web applications they try and communicate with the databases, if they fail then the web app won't start up fully.

  • SQL 2012 SP1 Enterprise (SSRS in SharePoint mode): Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services

    Hello,
SSRS in SharePoint mode is driving me insane.
We are recreating a SharePoint 2013 (SP1) farm in a test environment with the following set-up:
    2 SP Web FrontEnds
    2 SP Application Servers
    1 SQL Server
At both SP APP Servers, we installed SSRS (SQL 2012 Enterprise w/ SP1) in SP integrated mode.
We managed to start the SSRS SP service at the first SP APP Server. However when we try to start it on the second APP Server, we get the following error:
"Reporting Services scale-out deployment is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services. This edition only supports one instance of the SQL Server Reporting Services Service in the farm.  The SQL Server Reporting Services service cannot
be started on this server unless it is stopped on all other servers in the farm. "
Now I can't stress this enough: This is a SQL Server 2012 SP1 Enterprise. This is the image we got from our MSDN subscription. There is no mistake here.
Could someone please advise why SP might think this version of SSRS is not the correct one?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hello,
I'm afraid that is not it.
After a long, frustrating and strenuous investigation and troubleshooting, we found the problem.
The problem is the current ISO for SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SP1 (x64) found at MSDN. Bear in mind that we downloaded this ISO from MSDN about a month ago.
As soon as we recreated the environment using the ISO for SQL Server 2012 Enterprise SP2 (x64) found at MSDN, everything worked as expected -- and that includes running more than one SSRS in SharePoint mode.
Also bear in mind that we tried updating the SQL SP1 install with SP2 and subsequent cumulative updates but that never fixed the problem.
There is something fundamentally wrong with that ISO with SP1 slipstreamed in it that no matter the subsequent updates installed, SSRS in SharePoint mode fails to work properly on a multi-server environment. We went as far as SP2 with CU3 and nothing seemed
to fix the problem. And yes, we also performed manual updates to the SSRS and PowerPivot SharePoint MSI add-ins.
I am shocked and distraught to find out that I lost hours of work due to a dodgy ISO image.
    Regards,
    P.

You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "
Restore.  When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them.  What program did you use to import them?  Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all.  You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

Can I bring up siebel services while DB in read only / Standby Mode ???

    Hi ,
Not sure. But I think you can, since bringing up the siebel service require some query from DB and some readings from the gateway.

  • Why to extra service while installing RAC?

    Hi All,
I have installed 10gR2 2-node RAC. By following the steps given in the following link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/hunter_rac10gr2.html
    I have the following doubt:
In this link, it is mentioned to create ORCLTEST service apart oracle's original service_name (ORCL) and TAF on ORCLTEST service while creating cluster database using DBCA. Why do we need this? can we apply TAF on the original service name(ORCL)? if so, how can i do it? While connecting from any applications like web based application which one to use ORCL or ORCLTEST?
    Thanks,
    Praveen.

As Jeffrey says ... during the install, he created the extra TAF-aware service. "It provides all the necessary configuration parameters for load balancing and failover."
TAF has some non-traditional configuration requirements. Go back through the install & configure sections to see exactly how he did that. Or read the Oracle Networking manual ... TAF is primarily implemented in the Oracle Networking layer and the appropriate OCI libraries.

  • Accessing the SOAP fault received by OSB Service Call Out

I have a proxy service with multiple OSB service call outs, which access a backend server via SOAP.
If the backend server returns a fault, the proxy service' exception handling kicks in and the exception handling flow is triggered.
That flow provides a variable 'fault', which holds the OSB fault information with the BEA fault code.
The variable holding the service call out response (to which I assume the backend servers fault is written) is not available in the exception handling flow.
I have multiple service call outs in my flow, all writing their response to different variables.
Is there any way to access the fault received by the service call out? Is there any variable available in the exception flow, to which that information is written?

Is there any way to access the fault received by the service call out? Please refer -

  • Route node and Service Call out in OSB

In OSB for a composite Proxy service (PS) that has to call 3 external services in sequence- we make service call out for 1st and 2nd external services and for invoking the last external service we can use route node.
Here technically PS is making web service calls to all the three external services. For the first two OSB uses service call outs and for the last one, route node is used.
What is the difference in service callout and route node in invoking an external service?
If route node is better in any ways why can't OSB come with route node type message flow action for all external service calls?
    Thanks

    HI there,
I have the same scenario as yours, I have to call 3 external services using Service Callouts and i have no idea how to use service callouts, how to and what to configure in SOAP body OR Payload parameters.
I have to call one service and then the response of the 1st service , i have to pass it as a request to the 2nd service, so on.
Can u please share with me how i can do it and what will be the best approach for that.
    Thanks and Regards

Coherence version currently  using in production is : 3.7.1.0b27797.  Our applications are running in 2 data centers and interestingly this issue is  occurring in only one data center. So not sure weather it is coherence issue or environmental issue.
If this issue occurs in one or two servers then they are able to recover after some time. But if is happens on all 3 servers, then all 3 servers are dead and causing production outage.
We have captured the thread dump from production servers when this issue occured and noticed all application threads are hanging at WAITING state with below thread stack trace

    Hi,

  • I couldn't get my maps to work while out today which I needed for directions anyone know why ? It kept saying no server .

I couldn't get my maps to work while out today which I needed for directions anyone know why ? It kept saying no server , is it to do with my settings, my network provider, 3G or what ? Anyone help please.
    Thanks

Yes it is about 40 mg - I didn't know there was a size limit? How can I change that?

  • OSB Service Call Out without soap envelope

Can we do a service call out without any soap envelope wrapped.
Example if my message is <Test>test</Test>
it should not wrap it like
<soapEnv:Body xmlns:soapEnv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><Test>test</Test></soapEnv:Body>in request part of service call out.
My calling service is WSDL based proxy and called service is ANY XML Proxy Service

indeed, I have done my tests and it proved the same: whatever you post to a AnyXML service, OSB will first wrap it into a SOAP Envelope / Body and then pass it to the Message Flow.
After all it makes sense, the Interface of a Proxy Service has nothing to do with its Implementation....
a SOAP proxy service is implemented exactly like a AnyXML proxy service as far as the $body is concerned (maybe I have said an enormous BS!)
Only $operation would not be populated - I would expect. Correct me if I am wrong.

  • Change timeout in Service call out (OSB)

I have a proxy service P1 that invoke a other Proxy Service P2 throught a service call out component.
The proxy service P2 route to a business service (biz). This business service timeout is 10 s.
It's possible change the timeout in service call out in OSB? How do it?
I need change the P1 proxy service to invoke the P2 with timeout of 1s instead of 10s (business service - biz).

i assume you mean how you can change it on runtime from within the proxyservice flow, and not from the default configuration like vladodias mentioned
i checked some settings in the transport headers but couldn't find anything to overrule this on runtime
HttpOutboundPropertiesType has a connection-timeout element, but don't see a transport header option to overrule this when routing to a http transport bs service
maybe you could use the *other option there and add some other http header timeout setting which will be interpreted by the server which hosts the server...but this is all just a bit of guessing

  • OSB : Service Call out

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me what is the basic difference between configure SOAP body and configure PAYLOAD in service call out option? Any examples / use case?
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar
[I will mark the question as answered, once got the reply.]

    Hi Bhaskar,
With Configure SOAP Body you use $body directly, with Configure Payload you can use different variables... Also, Configure Payload does NOT support SOAP-RPC encoded... I've never came across an use case where I had to use payload...
There is a good table explaining what to use when here...
