Steve

Yes, there is one.
Do I just need to take the mac, and they will do it, or do I need some documents? because i didn't bring any of them with me :(?
wheter they reinstall it or not depends only on the store?
or is something they should do?
By the way I have no apple care.
Thanks for answering!

  • Travel Overseas Italy: Comprehensive Task List

I will be traveling to Italy in January from my base in New York. Since this is my first time taking a Verizon phone overseas, I have spent some time researching the Verizon web site to prepare myself for a journey with minimal problems.
You’ll find my resulting notes below. This research might be helpful for others who are planning an overseas trip. Even if it is not to Italy, you may want to answer the same questions for your destination country.
If you spot any errors, please post corrections.
I have a Blackberry Storm 2 which is one of Verizon’s global phones. That means the hardware (the installed SIM card)  is already programmed for international use.
Here is Verizon’s website with information on using a global phone while traveling internationally:
    http://b2b.vzw.com/international/Global_Phone/index.html
Verizon also has created a useful Trip Planner here:
    http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/tripplanner/tripplannercontroller
Those web pages provide the following information about travel to Italy:
    Before leaving the U.S.
    1) A few days before departure, call Verizon and have them activate your SIM card for “international voice roaming” as well as “international data roaming” if you plan to use the phone to access data. This can be done by calling Verizon customer service at 800-922-0204 or *611
EDIT: Arrange for the SIM card activation to begin a few days before you depart. That way you can call Verizon before you leave and make sure they have actually activated the card.
    2) Dial *228, press SEND, and select option 2 to update your roaming capabilities.
    3) To save some money on voice calls, sign up for the GSM voice value plan (see details below.)
EDIT: Arrange for the GSM voice value plan to begin a few days before you depart. This will allow you to call Verizon before you leave and make sure the plan has actually been initiated.
    Voice calls:
The GSM Standard Roaming Per Minute Rate is $1.29. This is charged whether you are making or receiving a call.
If you sign up for the GSM Value Plan, at $4.99 per month, the Roaming Per Minute Rate is $0.99. Verizon’s site says this is “the ideal plan if you plan to talk more than 30 minutes a day.” But it would seem to offer a substantial discount at lesser usage. A Verizon representative suggested calling to set up this service three to five days before departure. Initiation can be future-dated.
    How to dial voice calls:
When in Italy, here is how to call a US number. I’ll use the 212 area code for the example: Dial the Italy country exit code [00], then the US country code [1], then the familiar 10-digit area code and number. On landline phones the format for calling a number in the US 212 area code would be this:
    00 1 212 XXX XXXX
On a cell phone, pressing the * or 0 key while you are in GSM mode is supposed to automatically  insert the country exit code, which for Italy is 00.  So you would use the following format:
    + 1 212 XXX XXXX
If you call out of your address book while in GSM Mode, you usually do not need to add the exit code and country code to the number; they are added automatically.
To call an Italian number while in Italy:
Dial the plus sign, then the country code, then the local number with area code.
To call another country while in Italy:
Dial the plus sign, country code, international number.
To reach the toll-free customer service in Italy:
Dial the plus sign, then 1, then 908-559-4899 [ EDIT: Then you may enter the PIN number which is on the Global Support Card you received with your phone. ]
People in the US can call you by using your usual 10-digit number. They do not have to dial the US exit code (which is 011) or the Italy country code (which is 39). The person from the US is not charged anything extra; that person is just calling a regular US phone that happens to be overseas.
To get voicemail while in Italy:
To pick up your voice mail, call your own cell number using the “Call to US” instructions above. (The format would be + 1 212 XXX XXXX). Then you interrupt your voice mail greeting and enter your password when prompted.
    Text messages:
You can send text messages to a cell phone in the U.S. by just dialing the regular 10-digit phone number (do not dial Italy exit code or US country code). Your fee for sending a text message is 50 cents per message, whether or not you sign up for the GSM Value Plan. You can attach a picture to a text message at no extra charge.
Someone using Verizon here in the U.S. can send you a text message in Italy by using your regular 10-digit number. (It is not necessary for them to start with the 011 US exit code and the Italy country code). You can receive text messages for five cents each. Receiving a picture attached to a text message costs 25 cents.
    Data usage by the phone:
Using the cell phone for data access (email, web surfing, audio and video downloads from the Internet) is extremely expensive under the “pay per use” plan which will apply if you do not sign up for a discount data plan. The “pay per use” fee is $20.48 per MB. (Note that text messages are not considered data, and are charged at a separate rate. See the information previously in this document.)
Here is Verizon’s page that describes the global data rates:
    http://b2b.vzw.com/international/GlobalData/rates_coverage.html
For an idea of how data access charges might add up at such rates, consider Verizon’s chart of typical usages. The figures below were taken from the following Verizon page:
    http://b2b.vzw.com/international/GlobalData/rates_coverage.html
Email (text only) = 10 KB
Typical Web Page Lookup = 1.5 MB (This can add up fast).
    Audio Streaming = 40 MB/hr
    Lo-Res Video Streaming = 200 MB/hr
    Hi-Res Video Streaming = 400 MB/hr
    Digital Photo download/upload (Hi-Res) = 1 MB
    1 MB = 1,024 KB
    1 GB = 1,024 MB
To make the data charges manageable you can call the Global Services department and sign up for Verizon’s Global Data Plan. The cheapest of such Global Data plans costs $30 per month. That gives 50MB of data connectivity, then you can access additional data for $5.12 per MB. All numbers are pro-rated for the time you are in the country.
Important: Avoid surprise data charges. If you are not going to use your phone for data, go to “Mobile Network Options” and turning off “Data Services While Roaming.” You could also turn off “Data Services” itself.
[ The above information refers only to data usage over your cell phone. Some people also use Verizon’s “Broadband Connect” service, which provides for data usage on a laptop. This requires  either that the laptop contains an internal Internet modem, or the user engages in “tethering,” which involves attaching the cell phone to the laptop with a cord. (I do the latter while I am in the US.) To use that service overseas you would need to sign up for yet another package from Verizon. Verizon’s page says: “Data used as a tethered modem or mobile hotspot requires its own global data allowance separate from your smart phone data allowance.” (Since I will only be in overseas a week, I have not looked into the charges for this service.) ]
    Use Wi-Fi
Rather than use the phone for data access or tethering, use public wi-fi which is available in many hotels, coffee shops, and public areas.
    When arriving in Italy
Make sure your phone’s network settings are set to “Global.”
You will receive a text message tell your how to use your phone for international calls. The phone will show that it is using the “Vodafone” network.
[ Edits: ] You can call the U.S.-based Verizon support while you are in Italy. Use the above instructions for calling a US number. Dial:
+ 1 908-559-4899 (This is air time and toll free).
EDIT: If you are using a payphone to call that number, a global staff person will call you back to save you additional expenses.
If your cell phone is lost or damaged, you can call the country specific access number, (for Italy it is 800-90-5825). Wait for tone, then enter the calling card number and PIN on the front of your Verizon Wireless Global Support card (which came with your cell phone.)
    Reminders
    1) You cannot call 800 numbers from overseas. So get alternative numbers from your phone, credit card companies, and others. Also, calling will not work.
[ EDIT: It may be that some 800 numbers will work while you are in Italy, but they are not free. I am not sure about this. ]
    2) Italy uses the GSM Dual Band voice network, and the same for its data network.
    3) The “Network Technology” setting should be set to “Global.” The phone may fall back to EDGE or GPRS if 3G is not available in a location. The phone should automatically adjust if that happens.
    4) When making an international call to any European phone number that begins with a zero, omit the zero — unless you are calling Italy. For example, to call the UK number 01606 54321 from France, you’d dial +44 1606 54321. + is the international prefix, 44 is the country code, then the number with the leading zero omitted. Italy is the lone exception — if you need to call there don’t drop the leading zero.
    [ End ]

    Roaming Charges Overseas and Wi-Fi
As it happens, I will be traveling once again to Italy. This time it's Rome and I have upgraded to a BB Torch 9850. Here are some additional notes, this time about the conflict in settings between the need to limit data roaming charges and the desire to use Wi-Fi. The notes below will be especially useful for those using Blackberries, although others may find the information a good template for their own prudent research.
While roaming overseas I want to be able to make and receive voice calls, but I want to avoid incurring charges for data communication through Verizon's mobile network. Those data communication charges can result from the use of the phone for email communications, web site browsing, and apps that might access data in the background without my knowledge. Such charges can be exorbitant.
At the same time, I want to be able to use the phone to access the Internet via Wi-Fi for such activities as emailing and web surfing, which use data.
Those two interests can conflict when it comes to setting a phone’s networks and connections. I called Verizon for some insight. Here are the settings suggested by the representative.
While you are not in a Wi-Fi area, use the following settings. These will allow you to make and receive voice calls and text messages, but you will not be able to access the Internet for web browsing or email:
    1) “Mobile network:” ON. [ This will allow you to make and receive voice phone calls and send and receive text messages over the mobile network. ]
    2) “Data services:” OFF. [ Arguably, this could be left ON as long as the next entry, “Data while roaming,” is set to OFF. That’s because any data attempting to move through the mobile network while overseas would be in a “roaming” state, so the next entry should stop it from being processed. However, the representative tells me that some customers have reported being hit with data charges while overseas when they left their “Data services” set to ON. Therefore the representative suggests setting this to OFF. ]
    3) “Data while roaming:” OFF [ This will keep your mobile network from processing any data while you are overseas. ]
The above settings are appropriate if you want to just use your phone for voice and text messages. If you also want to take advantage of Wi-Fi, read on.
While you are in a Wi-Fi area and you want to use Wi-Fi, switch to the following settings. These will allow you to receive and send emails over Wi-Fi and browse the web, but you will not be able to use your phone to make or receive voice calls or communicate with text messages:
    1) “Mobile Network:” OFF [ This will keep your mobile network from processing data so you will not be hit with exorbitant data roaming charges. ]
    2) “Data services:” ON [ This will allow the phone to process data communications through Wi-Fi]
    3) “Data while roaming:” OFF [ This is an extra security measure to assure the phone does not process data communications through its mobile network while in a “roaming” location. Arguably, this could be left ON, since your “Mobile Network” setting is OFF and thus should not process any data. However, the representative told me that some customers have reported data usage charges when “data while roaming” was left ON. So turn it OFF. ]
Additional notes: Procedures for making the above settings may vary by device. On my BB Torch I take the following path: For “Mobile Network” tap the Blackberry symbol in the upper right hand corner of the screen. For the other settings tap “Options,” then “Networks and Connections,” then “Mobile Network” or “Wi-Fi” Network. You can leave the “Wi-Fi” checkbox ON at all times.
Text messages, in contrast with emails, do not incur data charges. During my last trip to Italy, texting proved to be a great way to communicate with friends back in the USA. I did not attempt to use Wi-Fi at all.
Hope this helps. One alternative to the above is to sign up for a global data plan from Verizon. Yet roaming charges even under those plans can add up quickly.
On a related note, the rep told me that it can take up to 48 hours for Verizon to recognize data usage. (Apparently has to do with the fact that overseas carriers are slow in reporting. Same goes for smaller domestic carriers when stateside.) So if you make a mistake in settings, you really can't find out something is wrong before incurring an expensive delay.
    Hope the above helps.

  • Cannot send email from bigpond account when using overseas telco network

I am sure this question has been asked and answered before but I cannot find a definitive answer on this forum I am on the Telstra network locally but when I travel to Malaysia I use a local SIM card with data, as the rates are much cheaper than anything Telstra can matchI find I can receive emails on my bigpond email account but cannot send. Can someone from Telstra publish something in this forum or on the general Telstra help pages on what settings to use exactly so that you can send and receive emails from your bigpond account while using another network overseas. I have tried changing the outgoing mail server account to the local network provider's but I am still unable to send Thanks

    Hi Mazzi,
When travelling overseas you can access your BigPond mailbox through an email program, or via the BigPond Webmailhttp://messaging.bigpond.com/inbox.do or http://webmail.bigpond.com/webedge/do/oldlogin. If you choose to use an email program, some settings will need to be adjusted, as mentioned below.
While there are no 'perfect' settings which will work every time and from every country, it may as simple as adjusting the Authentication on the outgoing mail server.
If you are accessing the internet via another Internet Service Provider (ISP), but want to send email through our outgoing mail server using your BigPond email address, then you must activate SMTP authentication. For the purposes of this, think of an 'SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server' as the outbound mail server.
Make sure that you have adjusted the outgoing port settings as listed below, or configure your mail client so that it uses the service provider's SMTP server, with SMTP Authentication disabled. If you are uncertain on what this is, you can usually search for this online, or alternatively contact the service provider that is providing your internet access.
If you are uncertain which mail platform you are on, you can confirm this by logging in here.
The complete list of email settings (including IMAP for Outlook.com accounts) can be found here.
Should you require immediate assistance while overseas, our BigPond Technical Support Team are available 24 hours, 7 days a week via Live Chat

  • Cloud overseas

I want to set use cloud whilst overseas and use it by paying with a local credit card but I cannot change my location of my adobe ID. Can i pay for the cloud services using paypal?

    Hi Digital Ear,
You will need to contact Adobe support if your Adobe ID is associated with an incorrect country. I believe credit card is the only accepted payment method for membership but you can confirm with support.

  • Two crashes: one OS crash with gray screen and loading bar- help? (Stuck overseas, so you guys are it!)

    Hey everyone.
When firefox crashed last night, I figured it was just firefox being difficult, but when while using firefox my entire computer crashed this afternoon and rebooted with a gray screen, the spinny wait symbol, and a loading bar, I started to get concerned. After looking through console, I'm not sure what's caused it to crash like this so I'm hoping one of you bright people here can tell me what exactly happened. I'm running a mac book pro with 10.6.8, have no real addons on firefox aside from adblock plus, divx, memory restart, a french dictionary, and a skin I've been using forever and have also spoken to the developer in the past about. I'm also using Firefox 17.0.1. After trying to google some of the more unfamiliar/suspicious lines (mostly relating to launch agents), I typed into terminal the command to list all launch agents and received 3 replies naming adobe, divx, and google. I used terminal to delete them all just for safe measure (plus the adobe update window has been irritating me to no end so maybe it'll go away now, haha). I did three things when I tried to boot up again after the crash and the weird launch screen with loading bar came up: 1) I held down the power button again because a) the screen was weirding me out and b) I thought it got hung up again (bar seemed to stall for an unusually long time), 2) I tried to boot again and when the same gray screen came back I just figured I had no choice and had to sit through it. 3) when the bar was at about half way I pulled out my ethernet cord for safe measure in case something shady was going on. These three things are also reflected in the log below.
I currently live overseas and the nearest Apple store is over two hours away with no guarantee of a native english speaker working, so if anyone can let me know what caused the crash and if there's anything I can do about it, I would be extremely grateful. The following is my current console log in its entirety from today, including my attempted system update to see if that would improve things (which also resulted in a gray screen with loading bar later), and a really weird bit at the end that is also confusing (but possibly caused by me tinkering in terminal- not sure).
NAME is replacing my HD name, and my screen name here (caithris) has replaced my computer user name. NUMBER has replaced anything that looks like a serial number of some kind.
Thanks so much ahead of time-- please let me know if there's anything else I can share.

Thanks again- I mean it. It's lousy being stuck away from home when crazy thing happen to your main line of communication!
    -Caithris

The gray screen with loading bar issue is a at boot fsck (file system check) that has discovered something wrong with your boot drive/partition and was attempting to fix it.
OS X is booting but can't complete, so that means your hard drive is good, just likely has been either subjected to shock which damaged data on the platters, or bad sectors (the drive is dying if after fixing it, problems occurs again), or something messed something up in the file structure.
Firefox is currently at 19.02, so it appears your background auto-update has not been occurring, which makes me suspect the machine's data is broken in some manner or you have malware on the machine blocking the updates.
Your problems are multiple, in your case I advise a complete erase and install.
1: If you have a backup of your user data on a external storage drive (not TimeMachine as it might be corrupted and compromised with malware it's just going to restore back) then your good, else you have to do this.
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
Copy your data to a blank plain jane external storage drive as you want no executable files on it when you connect to the cleaned machine later.
2: Once your data is safely copied (copy visible files manually and what you know is good, not folders that can contain invisible malware programs!) then disconnect the drive(s)
3: Next assume all writeable media is contaminated with malware and treat as so. Even if you erased it.
4: Stick in your 10.6 install disk and reboot holding the c or option key down. You want Disk Utility and you want to select the ENTIRE internal drive and MUST USE the Security Option > Zero All Data (unless your in the military then use 7x erase, do not use 35x as it will take weeks and is unnecessary)
The Zero/7x erase will do two things, do a low level format and erradicate everything (including hidden stuff and deleted files) also will map off any failing sectors on the hard drive.
5: Follow the procedure here to install 10.6
How to erase and install Snow Leopard 10.6
6: Reboot the machine twice, then once you set up the machine (using a alias of course and not allowing registration), use a secured network and IMMEDIATLY Software update to 10.6.8, if you can download the 10.6.8 Combo update on another secure machine to a (new) USB thumb drive and install it on the clean Mac, do that instead.
WiFi security issues, at home and WiFi hotspots
    https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
Still run Software update afterwards as Apple might not have fully updated the combo update yet.
7: Once you machine is secure, download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the external storage drive with just your files, perhaps one or more PDF's or other files are not what they seem to be.
8: Make sure to install fresh copies of software from original sources and not from rewriteable media, update them to be current. Malware can be hidden in copies of programs.
9: Trash all your rewritable media, or use a Linux PC or Linux Mint in a virtual machine (VirtualBox) on another computer like Windows to scrub and reformat all the rewritable media before attaching them to the clean Mac. You have to make sure it's getting the entire media.
10: Once your machine is set back up, then make clones and time and date them.
    Most commonly used backup methods
If your still having problems with the machine, it's likley a failing hard drive and you will have to replace it and repeat the steps above pretty much.
Really it's best to replace the drive in the interest of security.

Your overseas, if your in a foriegn country you have to assume FinSpy is being installed on your machine (uses a older iTunes verison "update" to get on) or there is other tricks via the ISP to install something on your machine. So mix things up and don't stick any old USB you see laying around into your Mac.

  • "Unable to load network list" on new sim card overseas on unlocked iphone 4

I recently bought an Iphone4 (unlocked) from australia. While traveling overseas I inserted a new sim and got the message "unable to load network list", and could not activate my new sim card. Could not find the answer on the discussion board here but got in touch with my provider back in oz who helped me.
Solution: You need your laptop with Itunes on it. Turn the phone off, then connect to your laptop with Itunes already running and then turn the phone on. When you click on your phone icon in Itunes it will say "Congratulation, your iphone is unlocked". You can then eject your phone and your new sim is activated.
    Hope this helps

Sorry not sure why your new sim card isn't supported...not sure if it helps but I had my laptop connected to wifi at the time also, but I don't think it should matter. Its worth a try connecting to internet with ITunes on, connect your phone and then turn it on and see what happens.

What are the charges, and who pays if I send a text overseas?

You pay as part of your cellular/telephone bill unless you use Wi-Fi which is free.

  • Can i text international from one iphone to another iphone over wifi with other friends who will be with us overseas?

can i text international from one iphone to another iphone over wifi with other friends that have iPhones
who will be with us overseas?

Yes, if you are provisioned by your carrier to do so.  IF both phones are iphones with IOS 5.0 or higher then you can use imessage.

  • How can I (re)activate my iPhone 4 from overseas?

Ok, this is a strange one.  I'm from the US and have had my iPhone 4 AT&T) since it was released (mid 2010). No problems.
I'm overseas (Taiwan) for vacation and about one week into my trip I finally get good WiFi and so I check my e-mail, vpn to home to make sure everything is OK, update apps, etc...  After a while my iPhone appears to reboot, though it is quicker than a normal reboot.  When it is done rebooting, my iPhone comes to a screen titled "Restore Completed" (I didn't instruct it to restore) and it guides me through re-activating.  (grrr.) Of course, when I get to the end, it says "[y]our phone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailble.  Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes."  (Crap.)  I think "well, I'll hop on my iPad 2 and see what's up and if I can fix this easily."  About 20 minutes later, my iPad 2 does the SAME THING and also cannot activate.
So I try again in a few minutes.  Same thing.  Now 12 hours later and same thing.  (Oh f---!).
I don't have my iTunes PC (as I said, I'm overseas) so I cannot try that.  I tried apple.com/support and I have AppleCare but they are being too helpful and only give me telephone support options.  I'm not going to pay international long distance for iPhone support.  E-mail support would be ideal but no joy on that front.
So I'm reaching out to the community for a lack of any better options right now.  Does anyone have any good ideas how to solve this?  I have searched but found nothing too useful.
I was using my phone as my primary camera (not any more).  I really hope my data is there when I do get everything restored (200+ pics from my trip so far).  Unfortunately, I cannot imagine how the 13 hour flight back to the US is going to be without my books and mags because, of course, they are all on my iPad.  Ugh...
    Help, please!!
    Dave

Get a SIM adapter and put the SIM from the iPhone 5 in the iPhone 4. Or get a new SIM from your carrier.

  • Can this Iphone be used overseas?

I am pretty sure At&t's I-Phone can be used overseas, but will this verizon I-phone be able to be used overseas with the features they have taken away/added? I am very curious because I have waited and let my upgrade sit for a year just to get the I-Phone, and now I am studying abroad in Milan in about 6 months and want to make sure the I-Phone will work over there before I purchase it.

No, your iPhone will not be usable in Italy.
The international capabilities that the phone will have can be found here

  • How to legally buy US TV show to send to student overseas?

This is your oddball question for the day. I am in the USA. My daughter attends an international program at a university in far northern Germany, and it's master's thesis time. The prof assigns the thesis topics to the students. They have no choice on their topic, as I understand it, and I'm getting the feeling he relishes making it as hard for the international kids as he can.
Her Finnish friend has been assigned to write her thesis on the philosophy of some American TV show called The Bridge. It is not available on DVD yet, and no release date given, however, it is available on both Amazon and Itunes. Amazon's CSR says she can't download it from an overseas ISP because it's only licensed in the USA. I'm assuming it's likewise for Itunes.
It's my understanding that if I download a show, and make a copy or a backup to send to her, that she must have my original Amazon or Itunes password to access it, even on a DVD, and I'm not real thrilled about sharing that with some kid I don't even know. But she's in a pickle.
I thought of buying her a used Ipod Touch, creating a new iTunes or Amazon account, downloading it here, and shipping it to her there, but this seems awfully convoluted. Does anyone have a creative, legal suggestion? This student has little to no budget to work with, and I'd like to help her out, since she has no contacts in the US, other than her best friend's mom (me).
Same prof assigned my daughter a thesis topic on books that are so rare and HTF we are scrambling to find them in any country. But at least they're BOOKS! Good old paper books do still have their advantages, it seems.
Any advice appreciated. I'm quite sure there's ways to do this piratically, but I'd like to keep her on the legal side of things, since I assume she may have to show documentation or source material to her professor at some point.

Google on dvr to Mac. I just did; it shows, for one thing, that different software may be needed depending on the provider. Many reads showed up after doing the Goobgle.

I try both my ID or my mom id. It's show the same thing.
    Please help
    thank you

No, unless you had Find My iPad enabled on it then there isn't any way to try and locate it.
Have you reported it to the police in case somebody hands it in ? You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc., and if it was a cellular model also contact your carrier.

  • Can I preload US apps for students overseas?

What is the best way to pre-purchase apps for iPads overseas?
I am gifting two iPads for Christmas to my wife's niece and newphew overseas. They are young college students and have no money or credit cards, nor does the family. One of them is a gifted art student and I am trying to inspire her to discover digital art making with an iPad. I also want them to have fun with some games. The plan was for them to setup their own local Apple IDs. I purchased an iTunes gift card for this purpose but learned that a US gift card cannot be redeemed in another country.
I also know you can only purchase iTunes (music) or apps from your country store. I know that if you change accounts, updating of apps stops, and so on. I do not know if their country store has these great art apps?
Are there any solutions to this? How can I see what is available in their country iPad APP store? If the apps are available, I'll let them handle it. Can I send an Apple iTunes gift to their account in their country?
If there are no solutions, I was going to create Apple IDs for them, redeem the already-purchased gift card and pre-load the apps. Is this ok? If no credit card is involved, does this require a US address or US email? I could create them if needed.  If I have to utilize this approach, can I continue to redeem US gift cards to their account for new apps even though they are physically out of country? I thought I read that downloads can only happen when physically located in that country????---hope I'm wrong on this.
Anyway, while the world is in a global economy, apparently it's a global mess. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

  • HT4972 Can you have two iPhones to the one iTunes account? I am overseas and using the old iPhone 4 here, but also have a current iPhone 5.

I have two iPhones, a 5 which I currently use and an old 4 which I use as a second phone as I am overseas. I have connected both to iTunes. Does this cause any problems have two phones on the one iTune account, as far as updates, etc goes?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
It won't cause any problem. Moreover, you will be able to share the purchases between both phones and have the same information by using iCloud, so you don't lose anything
