No session available for Eaely Watch Report

Hi,
For one system I have problems to generate en EWA report.
TC SDCCN for datacollection has finished without errors.
Data is transfered collectly to the SOLMAN using the appropriate RFC destinations which work wery well.
When I start Jjob SM:EXEC SERVICES, it takes 200 sec to process.
Finally in the overview of EWA reports in my solution, I see the report.
When I want to display the report by dubble clicking on the line, an empty reports is visualized.
When I want to display the session, next error message is shown :
Opening the session component EA1000000014607 failed.
Seems that thaer is ni session data available in the Solution Manager besides of an well finished datacollection in SDCCN.
Somebody has had the same problem.

I might be able to help if you can give me a little more information. In the window with the error message, there should be a yellow question mark. If you click on the question mark, you should get a little more detail about the error, including the message or error number. Can you give me this number?

Hi Gurus ,
I have some satellite system configured to Solution Manager . Today I can see the same system entry multiple time in the
Operations: Solution Monitoring -> Early Watch Alert.
eg .,
I have a system whose SID is ABC , i can see the ABC entry for todays date (i.e., 4 FEB 08) nearly 4 time .And this systems are not rescheduled for the next EWR (i.e scheduled for 11 FEB 08- since we have kept a period of 7 days )

There was an error, that EWA sessions for one systems were scheduled multiple times per week.

URGENT - Using a session value for query in reports

Please Reports Team or anyone....
I need to make a pdf report on the web.
The query needs to be dynamically so i can make reports on the fly in a secure manner, for example with the use of a session variable as the identifier (eg. select * from emp where id=<session>).
I know that rwservlet can be used but the id must not be displayed - so i figured to make a servlet or use a JDBC-PDS, but i cant find any coding examples anywhere.
Whats the framework ? how do i do this - i've tried an example using a new Java URLconnection and connect to the rwservlet then i'll hide the url, but how can you then stop people from using the rwservlet...
I've been working on this for a long,long,long,long time - could anybody please help !!!!!

Dunno if this wil help you, but here's what we do...
We use multiple web servers and we put our application servlets on a different box to the report server's servlet.
Users cannot access the report server directly. They must request reports from our application servlets which build the appropriate http requests and forward these onto the report server (using URLConnection). We stream the result back through our servlet so the user is completely unaware that the reports are generated on a separate box.
If you don't have the luxury of multiple servers, you may be able to configure your webserver to only accept requests to the report server's servlet from the local machines IP address?

High availability for AS forms & Reports

i like to know the best solution for high availability of Oracle Application Server(10g) Forms & Reports Services ...as load balancing is not done for forms & reports with the oracle high availability solution( i guess i am rite).any suggestions

Well, install Oracle AS Forms and Reports on two different nodes and configure your Forms and Reports services on both of them. Use a virtual host configuration to load balance (by hardware load balancer) to both hosts which are the resources. Use the webcache (standalone or the one that came with the install) to map the virtual host to the resources on the two hosts. Use REPORTS_SERVERMAP to map the name of the 'cluster' reports server to the local reports server, ie REPORTS_SERVERMAP=app:app1 on node 1 and REPORTS_SERVERMAP=app:app2 on node 2. Use REPORTS_SERVERMAP=app:app1;appl:appl1 to add more applications/reportservers. Set REPORTS_SERVERMAP in O_H/forms/servers/default.env and the application env files and under O_H/reports/conf/rwservlet.properties.

I have too many sessions scheduled for EWA one if my system in Landscape wit Red flags & i wanted to remove them as they are with very old Dates.I couldn't manage to find any option pls advice me on that.

Once i press delete button i could be able to delete only the session where my early watch report is generated.
But as i wanted to delete the sessions which are in past date with red flag
for example if i click on red flag i get the following data
The data for this session is overdue. Data has not yet been transferred from the associated satellite system.
Go to the Service Data Control Center (transaction SDCCN) in the satellite system and check why the data has not been sent.
Typical sources of errors are:
The RFC connection for the SAP Solution Manager system is not working.
The 'Task Processor' background job, which collects the session data, has been changed.
Problems arose while data was being collected (see the detail log for the task that collects the session data).
A periodic 'SDCC Maintenance Package' task has not been scheduled to check whether your SAP Solution Manager system requests session data.

Earlywatch reports can only be generated in HTML and Word. Please take a look at below link for more details.

Hello Sachin,
Please implement/apply latest ST-PI and ST-API patches in your Dev system.
after applying the patches please execute RTCCTOOL program in Se38 t code.
This program helps in service preperation so that data from your satellite system(Dev) can be sent to
solution manager system.
once you are done with that we can configure Dev system in solution manager system and activate SDCCN.
SDCCN will help in collecting data from dev to Solman.
Please apply ST-PI and ST-API from SAINT transaction if it has never applied into your system.
You can add dev qa and prd system in Solution manager system
Use SMSY t code and add the systems(use add system with assistant option).
this will help you to create the RFC's also which are responsible for cummunicating from Solution manager to Satellite and vice versa.
after that make sure you execute the abap program RTCCTOOL and implement the missing notes thru that only which the report suggests.
let me know if you face any issues for the above steps ...

RFC configuration for system monitoring / Early Watch reports

Hello Basis Gurus:
Please help me out.....
The early watch reports in the solution manager of my system are failing consistently to execute.This is happening for all the 3 systems DEV,QAS,PRD.when i click on individual earlywatch reports it takes me to a screen which says "data for this report is overdue.....go to your satellite system SDCCN to see why the data was not sent...."
It says ...check the following things.....
"The RFC connection for the SAP Solution Manager system is not working.

I can see the task processor job , and the periodic Maintenance package scheduled everyday and completed sucessfully.So is it the RFC which is causing the problem.
Im SM59 of the solman, i can see system generated RFCs for the PRD,DEV,QAS and SND (...3 for each of these systems...).
say for PRD, these are the 3 RFCs.
1.)SM_PRDCLNT<client#>_READ.
2.)SM_PRDCLNT<client#>_TMW.
3.)SM_PRDCLNT<client#>_TRUSTED.
I am not sure which RFCs among the 3 for any given system does the solman use to communicate to the satellite systems.
*The user id section in the Logon Data of any of these RFCs is blank.and the password says "is initial"...*is this correct.Does the user id have to be a communication type of user...
PLeaase advise as to what could be going wrong..

The system uses ABAP Connection (Connection Type 3) to connect to different Systems to execute Functional Calls.
Now in your case, there are 3 different connections meaning your Basis Team has used 3 connections for different connection activities. This is totally a business dependent scenario.
Now each time you create a RFC Connection, the system will need the following information to remotely call another system, they are:
Host Details of Target System
Logon Details to remotely login
For RFC Connections the User Type has to be Communications User. But there are companies which use Dialog User Types as well to remotely login for some cases. When the User ID is created for an RFC User and a Password is assigned to it, this Password is considered as the Initial Password by the system. This Password is taken as the Initial Password in the RFC Connection as well.
There can be cases where the system is Trusted and there is no need of a password, but an Username is mandatory in all cases. Remember if you set the system as Trusted, the password option gets deactivated and the connection wont work, if the system does not have the Trusted status.
But in any case you must assign the Username alongwith the Client and Language Details in the RFC Connection for it to work.

Hello,
I have SharePoint Server 2013 and the enable usage data collection is enabled. There is usage logs and data being generated, but SharePoint says there is not data available.
A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data forthis site has
not been processed yet.
What can I do?

When doing custom reporting against requests with reportable dictionaries we have a user request to also include the user comments. How do I reference / point to the comments field for a request?

If you are referring to the comments which are added in the Comments and History section of a requisition, this information is not migrated to the datamart and is not reportable.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to a comments field that you have included in a dictionary on the service form, that information will be available in the datamart so long as that dictionary has been made reportable.

What are the seeded reports available for Reporting.Consolidation Purpose in Projects.
I need following details --
1. Report for Monthly expenses for the Projects
2. Report for Project status like whether they are closed , Approved etc and the cost associated with these Projects along with Supplier Invoice info ,Associated Purchase Order etc .
3. Reports related to reconciliation
Any report which match some of the requirement will also serve my purpose .

You can look at the reports MGT: Expenditures Summary and MGT: Expenditures Detail
2. Report for Project status like whether they are closed , Approved etc and the cost associated with these Projects along with Supplier Invoice info ,Associated Purchase Order etc .
For the Supplier invoice info and PO : use the same MGT: Expenditures Detail report with the Expenditure Class as Supplier invoice
For Project Status: AUD: Project Configuration
3. Reports related to reconciliation
AUD: Cost Audit Report
AUD: Project Subledger Summary
AUD: Project Subledger: Detail by Expenditure Type
AUD: Project Subledger: Detail by Project
AUD: Revenue Audit Report
