No settings visible in EIM-WIM partition settings

Hi,
We're implementing WIM in our lab and we're new to this, we've noticed that none of the settings is visible in the partition settings(screenshot attached).
request anyone could help me with why this could be happening.

If you are trying to access it over the network.. remove the TC and plug directly into a computer with nothing else.. if the computer is still unable to see it.. do a full reset.. ie hold the reset for more than 10sec.. and it will become available. .make sure ethernet is plugged in Lan port not wan.. and the computer has not other network connection ie wireless.

    While logging into an EIM/WIM agent console an agent does not get the following message:
    This site might require the following ActiveX control: 'MeadCo's Security Manager from ... Click here to install...'
    As a result we cannot use the two-way cobrowsing feature of EIM/WIM.
    Please note we set cobrowsing attributes in the department and partition settings accordingly to allow that feature and in IE7 as well.
    What is wrong? How do we launch cobrowsing?

    [email protected] eGain, true cobrowsing is done with another product that you install. This was available with 4.2.x and could be used with 4.3 early release, but CoBrowse is not included in the 4.3 product set from Cisco. CoBrowse is a difficult problem because of dynamic content management and all the rules and security settings required, and by understanding is that Cisco did not think it was ready. My understanding is that it will be added later, along with pro-active chat etc.Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing .... what is it you wish to do?     Yes, we do want to use cobrowsing driven by an agent or a customer, i.e. the "follow me" feature.
    So, if I understood you correctly we have to wait until Cisco implements this feature.

  • EIM WIM v4.3(1) installation error

    Hi all,
    In my current setup
    a) 3 servers running app/msg/serv, database and web server all within the same domain
    b) broadcom hotfix was deployed
    c) windows authentication was used
    d) installation was done on the 1st server where all components were selected except web server.
    e) did a reinstallation of jdk & eim/wim was but unsuccessful as well
    Some errors were seen in the install log file. The main one seem to be related to application server <-> database server communication. The 3 databases (master, active, archive) were created by the installation. Subsequently there are few other errors (attached)

    Does the c:/users/rkm/x/apex/images folder exist?
    Does it contain lots of images?
    If not, what is the full path where /apex/images was unzipped?
    The parameter to the apxldimg script needs to point to the folder that contains the apex folder.

  • Upgrade path for Cisco EIM/WIM v4.2(5)

    Hi all,
    I need some help in understanding what is required to deploy Cisco EIM/WIM v4.2(5) for Cisco UCCE.
    a) media kit received contained v4.2(1), 3rd party tools, v4.2(4a) SR & v4.2(5a) MR
    b) based on the docs, v4.2(1) needs to be installed first followed by v4.2(4a) SR and then v4.2(5a) MR
    Some concerns/questions i have is
    a) Since v4.2(1) only supports SQL 2000 and v4.2(5) only supports SQL 2005, does that mean i'll require to purchase both SQL 2000 & SQL 2005? Can I install v.4.2(1) directly on SQL 2005?
    b) Since v4.2(1) only supports BEA WebLogic, is there a way to change it to JBoss when upgrading to v4.2(5)? If so, any idea how that can be done? If not mistaken this is possible when upgrading to v4.3(1).
    c) Is there a way to directly install v4.2(5) without going to the mentioned upgrade path

    The license is assigned to a MAC address so if you have other NICs available it may cause issues. As the system maybe comparing the wrong NIC. I dont believe you can "Reload" the license. I am all most certain you are hitting a bug with the license file. There are a number around :-(. Below is the most common:

    I know your symptoms do not match "Exactly" but I had the same issue as you and just upgraded to 4.2(5) and then applied ES1. That fixed all my problems. I have attached ES1 for you. If you are still not to sure then i would probably open a TAC case but they are probably going to tell you to upgrade to 4.2.4 or 4.2.5 first.
    If you decide to upgrade to 4.2.5 please also take note of the following:

    You need to make sure that the collation in SQL is set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI. The above guide exsplains how to check this and change it if it is incorrect.

    Hi, I need to document the OS installation steps for EIM/WIM 4.3.x.

    Is there any information about installation specifics for W2003 on the EIM/WIM servers?

    You need to have the two servers in the same domain if you are using WIM. You also need to make sure you disable NIC teaming on the server as that is not supported. You will also need to make sure mixed mode authentication is enabled on the AW SQL server as CIM uses SQL user authentication to connect.
    If you read the installation guide of CIM it covers how to install SQL.
    Also make sure you use enterprise edition of windows if you are using a large spec server.

  • EIM / WIM 4.3.2 Agent Bulk Import UCCE

    When one runs the integration wizard all the agents in UCCE are also imported. The thing is that we can only run the wizard once. So every time I add agents to UCCE and want them to use EIM / WIM  I have to manually map them. It there a way to do this in bulk  or does this have to be manually done? Its ok to do this manually for few agents but the problem is when there are many agents.

    I dont believe there is any standard way of doing this other than mapping the agents manually.
    When doing an install though it is best to create a Non-Production/Test deparment first. You can run the integration wizard against this department and bring in a couple of test agents. Once happy you can then create more departments and then run the integration wizard again against the new departments. Remember you cannot delete a department once you have created it.

  • Variables EIM / WIM

    Does anyone know if there is a way to pass variables form EIM / WIM back to ICM for a chat interaction. My specific situation would be to load a variable with the information about the location in the web site where the customer clicked on the chat link. For example the same chat link is placed in a certain site in the support, sales and home pages of the web site. I would like to know what page the customer was browsing (sales / support / home page) when he / she clicked on the chat link.

    I don't work with WIM much, but I do pass call variables back to ICM in EIM.
    I do a database dip in EIM and run a stored procedure passing over the email address, which returns a structured string that I pass up to ICM for routing decisions.
    You need to declare the variables and set them as coming up on the queue (which is mapped to a script selector) and then your workflow has to load them up before the Queue node.

  • Eim/wim installation error

    I am installing,integrating WIM/EIM 4.1.2 in our labs with sprawler 7.0,SQL 2000 and SP4.I have run the prerequisite and have configured the Web logic as per the install guides.Now when i am running the EIM installer i am getting an error of "unable to connect to the db,pls check".I have tested the same connectivity using the ODBC and it works fine so i know there is no problem in the sa id and pwd i am using.
    Few things which i have tried and tested but getting stuck at the same place are as below.
    I have tried using the database name eGMasterDB(default one)as well as the Master db but both fails to connect.
    Created a new domain user and used that to install the weblogic and EIM/WIM.
    Tried hostname.domain.com instead of just hostname in the installation window.
    Able to telnet onto the hostname on port 1433.
    So if anybody has come across a similar situation like this or has a fix to it.pls let me know.

    If you are installing EIM/WIM on a single server, would you not also have the SQL 2000 database on the same machine?
    If not, and you are using another database on another machine - perhaps your Sprawler to make a "split server" deployment, the SQL server would be installed in binary sort order for ICM compatibility. Could be an issue.
    Try an all in one install - single server deployment - with SQL on the same box.
    As matthewpage said, check the install log  - it's quite comprehensive. I think it's in C:\Cisco\CIM\installation or something similar. Maybe it's in C:\temp.

  • EIM/WIM: Displaying open hours

    Hi,
    We have just installed EIM/WIM and try to check a situation where there are no agents available to respond to cusomer's request for a chat. When a customer clicks on the Chat button in a Web browser he/she gets the following message:
    Thank you for your inquiry. Our service hours are 9am-5pm PST, Monday-Friday. If you are trying within the service hours and still getting this message, please try after some time, as all our agents might be busy or unavailable at this time.
    Then we have created a calendar with open hours from 01:00 AM to 11:00 PM, but again customers get the same message, i.e. the part of this message indicating open hours does not correspond the open hours in the calendar. We have restarted the EIM/WIM server but again no luck.
    What's the cause of it? How can we workaround this problem?

    This is a static message (not a macro based message) that why it keeps showing the same message
    This can be changed in the Chat Template (Department > Your Department > Chat > Templates) in the Options->Off Hours tab. Kindly refer to the EIM/WIM Administration Console User Guide (page 177 - 181). I think it should be the same for both v4.2(x) and v4.3(1).

  • Installing EIM/WIM 4.3(2) with UCCE 7.5

    I am looking to install EIM/WIM for a customer with an exisiting UCCE 7.5 installation. Would really like to installed EIM/WIM 4.3(2) as it has support for IE 8. But...
    According to Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (Unified CCE) Software Compatibility Guide only version 4.3(1) is compatible with UCCE 7.5.
    It seems that UCCE 8.0 is the only version that is compatible with 4.3(2).
    Has anyone tried EIM/WIM 4.3(2) with UCCE 7.5?

    However given time and cost constraints for the project, unfortunately we might have to go with 4.3(1) and consider a upgrade later.
    In that case, you can apply ES4 (going from memory, so I hope this is the right ES) to 4.3(1) as this supports agents using IE8. That was its main purpose because there was a little delay in bringing out SR2 and customers wanted the IE8 support. That said, SR2 has a host of bug fixes. SR2 will complain if someone on IE6 tries to use the Agent Desktop, while ES4 will not,

    but upon installation the system is showing up as v4.4 instead of v4.4.1. Even the release notes in there is showing as v4.4 instead of v4.4.1
    Any ideas where i can get the proper v4.4.1?

  • EIM/WIM integration issue with UCCE

    I have configured the ICM AW as per the document of deployment of CIM 9, all the MRD and application instances and skillgroups are created  for each MRD and also added the agents in the member of the skillgroups, now I am running the integration wizard on EIM server everything goes fine till the agent  addition window appears which appears to be blank now I don't know what am I missing in it, may be its something in the pg explorer MRD which I have tried with everything but the agent are not showing up, anybody have any idea, why the agents are not showing up,,????
    One more thing we have a generic pg for agent and CVP and an MR pg for dialer and one pim for CIM..any issue with it??

    When you run Integration wizard do you get Agent PG? and for selected Agent PG do you have any Agent Configured ?
    Check Your Application Path list and Application Path, check correct Agent PG is configured.
    once again walk through,
    Cisco Unified Web and E-Mail Interaction Manager Deployment and Maintenance Guide and check all the configurations are in the place.
    i think Generic PG is supported, and that how it is done in Package CCE where Generic PG and MR PG installed on same Machine.

  • Queries regarding EIM/WIM v4.2.5 using in IPCCExpress 7.0(1) SR4 setup

    Following are few point on which I need help..
    1. If a Chat task is assigned to an agent and he/she is not responding to the chat then this task has to be assigned to another available agent after 12 sec. From where this time is configurable?
    2. If a Chat is waiting in a specific queue for X secs, So it will jump to another available agent in other queue. From where this will be configured.
    3. If the Chat task is waiting for 15 minutes in a queue and no one answer to that specific task, then it will be automatically disconnected after 15 minutes. From where that time is configurable.
    4. How the email queues are routed from customer website?
    5. How different email ID's are mapped to different queues?
    6. From where the review and send option between an agent and supervisor is configured.
    The detail of the above point are attach in the sheet. Need urgent help on above points.

  • EIM/WIM 4.3.1: Is IE8 supported as a customer chat console?

    Hi,
    We try to use IE8 as a customer chat console relying on the "Hardware and System Software Specification for Cisco Unified Web and E-Mail Interaction Manager 4.3.1" guide. However when we attempt to start a chat we are getting the error message saying that this browser is not supported. (Please see the attached screenshot.)
    What is wrong?
    At the same time I would like to note that we successfully use IE8 as an agent console although the aforementioned guide recommends only the IE7 browser for this purpose.

    I agree that the System Requirements document say that IE8 is supported as a customer browser for chat. Recommend a TAC case to resolve this.
