No signal message when connecting mini to a mermaid ventura
New here so please be gentle!
I am trying to connect a recently purchased mac mini (of fleabay) through a 15inch Mermaid Ventura monitor via a VGA converter.
The monitor works perfect but I am unable to get a signal and recieve the no signal off to sleep message. I have also used a 17 inch sony LCD and again the same yet this works with my PC...
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I have set the mermaid to auto settings but is the mac trying to send a signal that the screen cannot handle? or has the previous user set the resolution settings higher than the screen can handle? if so... how the **** do I reset this? or work round this? with no screen?
Mac works fine, HD spins away and I the mini chimes.. just no screen...

I know when I first got my mini, I got a 19" wide Acer monitor. Hooked it up with a DVI cable, started up the mini and got the no signal message. Hooked it up to my old PC, worked fine. Hooked it back up to the mini, turned the mini on, no signal, walked away while it started up to get something to drink, came back and it was working like a champ. I think it's got something to do with the default resolution settings somewheres, but once your mini actually starts up, it should work. Also, you could try pressing "CommandOption+PR" when you power on your mini. Press it almost immediately after you hear that "Mac sound" and it should "restart" and you'll hear that "Mac sound" again. Then, just give it a few minutes so the OS can boot up and see if you've got any signal.

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

Q 2.3. How can I uninstall MacFUSE?
A: Launch the Mac OS X System Preferences application and go to the MacFUSE preference pane. Click on the "Remove MacFUSE" button. This will uninstall all MacFUSE components except the preference pane itself.
You can keep the MacFUSE preference pane around should you decide to install MacFUSE again in the future. If you do wish to remove it, you do it just like how you would remove any other non-Apple preference pane: In System Preferences, control-click (right-click) on the MacFUSE icon and you will see "Remove ..." as an action.
Only if you had the "Show Beta Versions" button checked in the MacFUSE prefpane, you'll have a property list (plist) file remaining at this point:/Library/Preferences/com.google.macfuse.plist. To remove it, you should uncheck the button before you remove the prefpane as described above.
Note that an official (correct) MacFUSE installation will have a preference pane if you have MacFUSE 2.0 or later installed. If you have an older version of MacFUSE, you can uninstall as follows.
The other thing you can do if you're having problems is go into System Preferences and there should be an icon for MacFuse. By going into that there may be an option to disable it. If so, do that first before attempting to uninstall and try mounting your drives again. -
"No Signal" message when conneting an external LCD through VGA connection

I have Lenovo 3000 N100 (TYPE 0768-FPG) , OS - Windows 7.
It is connected to an external LCD (SONY LCD) and everything was OK untill one day, without me changing anything, suddenly I get "No Signal" message on the LCD when in PC mode. I tried different VGA cabels and different LCD monitor, tried formatting my machine but nothing helped.
Is there anything else I can try?Actually, the message I get on the LCD is: "No sync".

No Signal message when monitor is connected to graphics card.
So, after posting this problem on various forums, I was told my power supply (300w) was too low for my Radeon HD 7570 that I tried installing. After installing a 585w power supply, the problem still happens.
Model: HP Pavilion h8-1240t
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
Error: Monitor says "no signal" when connected into the PCI slot where the graphics card is.
Changes:This has always been happening, haven't gotten a single card to run of this stupid computer!
The DVI cable is fully plugged in from the monitor into the PCI slot and the graphics card is fully in. The fans on the graphics card spin but it isn't detected at all. It does not show up in the device manager.
Specs:
i7-2600 3.4GHz
8GB RAM
585w Orion PSU
Radeon HD 7570 (this did not come with the computer, otherwise it would be working...)
PEGATRON CORPORATION 2AD5 1.03 (I'm assuming that's the motherboard)

I think the problem is not related to any power supply issues.
I think i know what the issue is and will post a document for you to follow. Basically the issue might be related to the UEFI BIOS, to secure boot option.

since the 6. version update. of my Iphone 4s My wife was getting my text messages. I found the problem was caused by Imessage when connected to Wifi. I deactivated Imessage on both phones to solve the problem. I now have updated my Iphone to 6.1.1 and i dont get text messages anymore. I have Imessage deactivated on my phone but my wife is getting my text messages again. my wifes phone was not updated to 6.1.1 because the last update lost all her contacts from her phone and we had to but them back in one by one from the outlook list. Her contact are listed in outlook on a seperate list to mine but we can only get my contacts download to her phone. We use the same laptop to sysc phones.
My Iphone does not download photos to My Pictures anymore. I have to copy them across to a folder. I cant find where it backs them up to.
I have lost all confidence in Apple now as i was forced to update to 6.1.1 because of 3G reception issues and not reciving calls and now back to spending several hours trying to fix my phone to recieve a basic text message.Are you and your wife sharing apple id?
If you are that is the reason why she is seeing your imessage.
On both phone go to settings - message - send&receive - make sure the cell is the default.
You will have to uncheck or remove the apple id. -
When connecting my ipad mini to my lap top I keep getting an error message sugesting I need to install 64bit version of Itunes. I have done this repeatedly but the same message keeps recurring. Cananyone help? Thanks
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I am getting an error message when I connect to ITUNES that says I do not have anymore capacity for more songs. I have a mini and only have 300 songs on it. Any ideas? It still says I have 2.9GB avialable on MINI. Any help would be appreciated...

I was having problems with XP, and rather then reinstall XP, I did a clean install of Vista. I did a settings transfer, so the new install of iTunes came already configured--I mention this since I don't know if it was a factor.
When I plugged in the iPod, I got the USB Device Not Recognized. The usbstor.inf file did not fix the problem. However, the solution at http://www.winvistabeta.com/groups/275128/ipod-usb-device-not-recognized/message .aspx did fix the problem. Do this:
Reset the iPod:
1. Unplug the iPod.
2. Turn the hold switch to HOLD and then back to off.
3. Hold the Center and Menu buttons for 6 seconds until you get the Apple logo when you release them.
4. Plug in the iPod. It should now be recognized.

"Comm Error" message when connecting to car stereo
When connecting my 80G IPod to the port in my car, the IPod screen rolls horizontally, then says "OK to disconnect", and the stereo displays the "Comm Error" message. I was able to connect to the stereo before but don't know what happened to cause this. Re-setting the IPod did not resolve the problem. Has anyone else seen this? Please help!
5th Generation IPod Windows XPI’ve got a 30gb ipod doing the same thing. I know it’s not the car as my friends nano works fine on it. Have you have any success?

Error message when connecting 80GB Video iPod
I'm getting this error message when trying to connect my 80GB Video iPod:
"The iPod (name) cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-48)."
Never seen this one before.
I haven't synced this iPod for a few weeks but it always behaved fine before, taking a few seconds to appear in iTunes (v7.5) then syncing perfectly when I hit the Sync button (I have it set to manually sync only because sometimes I want to change the contents or only sync music).
Before syncing on this occasion, I did an iPod software update via iTunes - iTunes said there was a newer version (1.2.3). After the update, I disconnected the iPod for a few minutes (somehting I wanted to check content before syncing), then reconnected it. At first iPod took about a minute to show up in iTunes - way too long. I Reset the iPod and tried again but still LONG delay to appear in iTunes (again about 1 minute). I did another Reset - same result. Then I did a complete Restore, after which syncing to restore the contents gave problems - it refused to finish the sync. I had to disconnect and start again, syncing the data one section per sync session - Contacts, music, videos, iCal - which seemed to work fine. Then I disconnected, waited a few minutes then reconnected the iPod to check. It wouldn't connect at all. Did a Reset, tried o connect again and it did connect but then proceeded to resync all my contacts taking almost 30 minutes (way too long) to do so (I had made NO changes in Address Book since that data was put in there). I tried to reconnect again but then got the error message (above). Did another total Restore and the same shenannigans happened. Now, I have an iPod with data on it and works fine, but iTunes won't recognise it - just gives this error message every time.
By the way, my 8GB Nano (software 1.1.3) seems to sync fine on the same system, same computer.
Could this be the 1.2.3 iPod software giving issues? I appreciate any help because I also use this iPod for recording for my work, which getting a little urgent now.

I did all that but when I tried to sync after it, it got partially through the sync (about 10% I'd guess) and presented an error message saying that the disk couldn't be read form or written to (sorry but I forgot the error number). I disconnected the iPod, waited a few minutes then reconnected and again got the message but then the ipod continued to finish the sync, even though almost all of the music and 2 of my 4 videos didn't go over to the iPod. I'm now thinking that this just isn't satisfactory reliability from the device since I use it a lot in my work and rely on it. But this new iPod is only a few months old, had very little use and only made about 12 recordings - In comparison, I've used the Nano heaps but now want to move over to the bigger one, basically for more capacity and bigger screen for video. I wonder if it's a hard drive failure in this iPod?

There is diskspace enough, and I know the database limit is 4Gb. The database I want to connect to has this size.
I want to connect to the database to cleanup / inspect the database because of the size problems. But I can't connect to the database.
Is there an other way to connect to the database ?

How to avoid syslog messages when connecting via Perl SAP::RFC ?
Everything works fine with Perl SAP::RFC calls to our ERP 6.0 thanks to Piers Harding except numerous entrys in the SAP-syslog (SM21) which make that a little bit unclearly.
Tracing is set to "0" when connecting via new SAP::Rfc( ASHOST .. , TRACE => "0" ) from Perl.
The syslog - entries look something like this:
07:46:10 DIA 000 R1 M Trace vom Remote Client übernommen.
07:46:18 UP2 062 011 MYRFCUSER R1 L Trace für Benutzer MYRFCUSER deaktiviert.
Even when tracing is set to "0" there is also a *.trc-File in the directory where the perl script resides on RFC client side.
In this trace file one can see the followig excert:
