No signal on bbc hd,itvhd, channel 4 hd????

Help needed please Iv recently moved into a flat and the flat has a communial arial which we plugged in. Weve been in here for 3 months. The signal has been fine but in the last week or so the signal has dropped from bbc hd , itv hd and channel 4 hd. All other hd channels work fine. I have checked the connections into the box and tv and also turned off and back on. Does anyone know what has happened or if there is something i can do?

    Hi thanks for the response.
nothing is muted. the levels actually go up and down even when muted. But there is no signal at all going to the mixer.

  • Connecting more than one sensor cable to screw terminal to collect more than one signal in single DAQ board channel?

I don't know if this topic is being posted in the correct location. I am new to LabVIEW and the hardware associated with it. I am using an NI 9237 DAQ board for a senior design project in engineering and I was informed that I can make multiple connections to a single screw terminal which in turn will connect to one channel of the DAQ board. To give the specifics, I have two pressure transducers and would like to connect them to the same screw terminal and channel on the DAQ board yet separate them when acquiring data in the VI. Does anyone know how to do this? I know is is essentially knowing what pins do what on the screw terminal but I can't find this anywhere. I am currently doing the job with two screw terminals and two of everything else (RJ50 adapters, etc.). I would appreciate any input. Also, please let me know if I am posting in the wrong board and if possible, which board I should be posting to.
    Thank You,
    bsteinma

    bsteinma,
What you may have heard is that you can measure multiple signals on the same task, not on the same channel.  By tying both of these signals to the same channel, both signals will compete to drive the line.  The channel on the card will only interpret this garbled signal and you will get no useful data.  If you are new to wiring up hardware, I recommend configuring a task within Measurement and Automation Explorer and then clicking on the tab along the bottom of the page titled, Connection Diagram.  This will show you what electrical connections to make.  Then, in LabVIEW you can read multiple signals (channels) and manipulate each signal how you would like.
As far as boards go, you will generally find an answer where ever you post, but the Multifunction DAQ board is a great place to post when you have questions regarding hardware (like your 9237).

  • BBC America HD Channel Not Available

I'm seeing a notice on channel 689 for BBC America HD that the channel isn't available, but I can view the SD version on 189.  Anyone else having this problem?  I used the in home agent and it didn't report any outages.

Thanks, tns.  Tried rebooting and I guess I'll have to try the dreaded reset and lose my settings.  I may wait a day or so to see if I get lucky and it fixes itself.  Appreciate you letting me know it's working for you.  Anyone on VHO 2 having problems (Florida)?

  • WRT110 signal problems... change channel?

I have been having significant slowdown using my wireless router. Someone in a differfent post said he was told by comcast that his signal could be inconsistent because comcast uses the same channel, which causes interference. I too have comcast, so I want to try this. Unfortunately, the threads I've read only give directions up to accessing the Linksys administration tool and I cannot find any way to change channels once I get there.
When I get to the Wireless tab, I see manual and wi-fi protected options, and it is default filled to wi-fi protected. Option 1 [holding the wi-fi protected set-up button and hitting the button to the right] results in a failed attempt to contact the client device. Option 2 requires a PIN and I have no idea what that would be. Option 3 gives direction if my router asks for a client PIN number... no idea how to get to whatever point the router would ask for that info.
OTOH, if I click the manual setup radio button, I go to a page that only offers a few set-up options [Network Mode, Network Name (SSID), Radio Band, Wide Channel (only option is auto), Standard Channel (only option is auto), SSID Broadcast]. In other words, I can see no way to set to channels 1-6, 9, 11 as others have recommended.
What the heck am I doing wrong?
    TIA

    >Someone in a different post said he was told by comcast that his signal could be >inconsistent because comcast uses the same channel, which causes >interference.
First that is a bunch of crap.  You WAN input is not on any 'channel'.  Next don't ever hit the SES button (Secure Easy Setup) on the front of the router because you don't have the receiving hardware to take advantage of it.  The wireless tab always defaults to WiFi Protected Setup but you always want Manual.
Never use the Linksys Admin Tool LELA.  Always connect to your router via your wired computer to 192.168.1.1.  Leave user name blank and input your password that you set (might be admin).
    Under basic wireless settings:
Network Mode - BG Mixed (my setting)
    SSID - your network name
    Radio band - Standard 20Mhz
    Wide channel - Auto
Standard channel - 1 (higher frequencies are not as reliable)
    SSID - Enabled
Basic Setup Tab change MTU value to Manual 1492 if you have PPPoe, otherwise lower it to 1400.
Advanced wireless settings change Beacon Interval to 75, RTS and Fragmentation threshold to 2404.
Save settings and give it a try.  Once your wireless is stable, go back and add security.

  • NO Signal on 5 or so channels

Hi, i have a no signal message on BT Sport 1 HD and BT Sport 2HD, MTV Live SD, Talking Pictures and Fashion OneSomeone suggested last month that once the old Eutlesat Satellite transponder had been upgraded i might get these channels back - but as of today i still dont have themany ideas?

Eutelsat 28A was switched off a few days ago.  Everything was migrated to other satellites.  Reboot the box at the mains.

  • New BBC HD channels

Looking at the EPG on Youview it seems that real programs are listed from 7am/8;30am/7pm on Tuesday 10th December for the  CBBC HD , Cbeebies HD ,BBC  NEWS HD , BBC Three HD , BBC Four HD channels.

No they won't be 'turning the juice up'. The power is limited by the equipment they are using and the need to limit interference between transmitters on the limited number of channels they are using.
If your signal is marginal but Digital UK say you are in an area that should get the signal then I would suggest reviewing your aerial installation and seeing if it can be improved to increase your signal - for example your aerial May be the wrong group for the COM7 frequency.

  • Acquiring 4 channels at 10kHz using PCI-6070E card and Labview 7.0. I need to average a signal that is time-locked to an analog trigger. Is their an available vi to accomplish this?

I am acquiring 4 channels of data, sampling at 10 kHz. I am using a PCI-6070E board. I need to average a biological signal time-locked to an analog trigger that occurs at about 3/second. Is there a vi that will accomplish this?

If you are looking for a way to do a "retriggerable" acquisition, there is a shipping example called Acquire N - Multi-Analog Hardware Trig.vi that accomplishes this. However, please note that this example achieves this effect by reconfiguring the task for each trigger in software. This means there is a delay between reconfigurations. If a trigger signal comes during this reconfiguration, it will be missed. This delay is system dependent on how fast your computer can execute the reconfiguration code. The 6070E does not support hardware retriggerable acquisitions.
However, if you are wanting to acquire continuously and then do some post-acquisition analysis, I couldn't find any examples that accomplish this, but it wouldn't be too hard to build one yourself. Y
ou would probably want to include your trigger signal as an additional input channel. Then once you've acquired all of your data, in software you can scan through the data acquired for the 5th channel and then segment your data according to that signal. I hope this information helps.

  • Prevent OS X to upmix my stereo signal when using 6 channel HDMI

I just bought a new MacBook Pro 13" (2015 version) and I'm used to watch series using my Windows notebook or Desktop machine plugged to my Home Theatre system with a HDMI cable. Because every series is produced in 5.1 and then encoded to a Dolby stereo signal everyone can have a surround sound experience when putting it through a Dolby Pro Logic decoder although the sound is delivered as 2 channel stereo. You guys may have noticed it when watching TV and then put the sound signal through a Dolby receiver. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolby_Pro_Logic#Dolby_Pro_Logic_II)
When I was watching my movies using my PCs it would send the stereo signal through my HDMI cable (set to 5.1) and at the receiver it gets converted to surround sound. But now when I watch using my Mac my stereo signal gets upmixed to all channels (which ruins the dolby signal) and my home theatre cannot decode it anymore.
It works when I put my HDMI settings to a 2 channel configuration in OS X's Audio MIDI setup but I want to keep it in 6 channel mode in case I have a 5.1 audio file or watch a 5.1 movie.

Not all MacBooks support audio over mini-Displayport.   Use this user tip to find your model:

  • Problems with signal strength with channels on Mux...

I've had a YouView box (Humax first gen model) for almost a week and i'm having pixelation/signal strength problems with all channels on Mux. Com5, Pick, Dave, Movie Mix and Really etc. My Vision+ box and TV are showing these channels without any problems. Any ideas?

    I have a similar problem.
(But not on Crystal Palace Tx).
Switch to a poor channel. (Dave for example. This is one I have problems with).
Go to Settings, TV Settings, Freeview Signal Strength.
Now press the Info button to get extra information.
Note the UHF channel number, the channel  is being received on.
Get the same channel information, on the other Freeview receiver you have.
In my case, the UHF channels are different.
I believe, the Youview box is pre-set to receive from a transmitter (and hence a UHF channel number), determined by  a post-code and/or  your address details.
Because my aerial is not pointing at the main transmitter for my post code,  I get poor reception because the transmitter the aerial is pointing at, transmits Dave (MUX) on another UHF channel.
As confirmed by the other freeview receivers I have.
There doesn't seem to be a way to force the box to use any other UHF channel.
Any scan always comes up with the same one.
    There is no manual setting.
I might be totally wrong, but I think this is another software bug.

  • No satellite signal on certain channels after changing boxes - getting nowhere with sky help

So I got a new sky box from sky and have been getting the No Satellite signal message on certain channels (i.e. Sky1 HD, Sky Atlantic and Sky Sports) since I changed the boxes. I have tried all the suggestions in the online help as well as through the call centre  personnel who just repeat the same thing over and over. Can anyone please assist? To get things started: 1.  Yes, the viewing card was paired.2. The input signals show OK for any channel that is possible to view. When you look at the input signal details for a non-working channel then Input 1 shows as NOT LOCKED and input 2 as OK.3. Communal dish and no problems in other flats.

It might be local interference.  You'll have to switch off any wireless equipment in the room,  and especially a wireless router,  cordless phone base station and anything else that radiates signals. You should also unbundle ( if applicable ) your dish Input cables from anything else behind the box, in particular power leads. If you're using the white,  pre-moulded cables from the likes of Homebase,  B&Q etc,  it might be an idea to replace them with good quality,  double-screened cabling such as WF100 which you can buy online. Are you able to borrow someone else's HD box to test in your flat,  or are you able to check out your own box on a non-communal setup?

  • FP-AI-110 Multiple Channels - Signal Degredation

    We have a FP-AI-110 set up with a FP-PS-4 and communicating back over a FP-1000.  Set-up to read Current. -21 to 21mA
I had a customer ask if connecting more than one signal input line to the AI-110 would cause signal loss on the multiple channels, getting worse with the more channels that are connected.
Is this a concern with this module?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The above is incorrect, I was getting questions through a second non-technical party trying to translate....
They really wanted to know the input resistance on the channels that causes the voltage drop for the current sensing, and what the minimum voltage would be.  I see from the literature that it is 100 Ohms resistance on the inputs.
But then I see later in the operations manual that it lists 60-150 Ohms.....which is correct?

    Input impedance................................60–150 Ohm

  • Analog sound signal no digital sound

I have a A660-BT2G25 laptop which includes DOLBY® Advanced Audio.  I connected it via an HDMI cable to the back of my Denon receiver and set the receiver to receive either digital sound input or analog sound input from the laptop that I am currently using as part of my entertainment center. All items in my device manager are operating properly (the system shows NVIDIA High Definition Audio under sound four identical times with all divers identical in each, all with normal operation & no conflicts-not sure if this is normal). The computer recognizes the Receiver as an Denon AVAMP-3 in the sound setup in Control Panel. Further,  I have set it as the default and run test after test. The properties there indicate the device is operating normally and shows DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. w/HDCP supported, up to 192 sampling rate, 16 & 24 bit. Here is the rub. My receiver is only receiving analog signals under PCM (analog signal) and not DTS (digital) so while the sound is good and clear per my receiver upgrading the signal, there is no digital splitting of the signal to the 5.1 channels. If I force the receiver to take only DTS signals over the HDMI cable there is no sound at all. There is nothing wrong with the receiver. Anybody have any suggestions???

Hi, I just purchased a Mac Pro and am running 10.5.2. I am seeing the exact same behaviour when using the optical digital out from the Mac Pro to a Teac Receiver. It takes about 5 seconds for the audio to start playing from a "silence". If there is continuous playback there are no problems, but if there is ever a significant pause in the audio the receiver shows "unlock" on the display and stops playing out audio.
It certainly does seem like the digital stream is getting interrupted which then causes an issue with the receiver.
I haven't been able to find a solution yet.

  • Unwanted channels keep reappearing in the TV guide

At first I never had a problem but over the last week or two, presumably following a software update, my edited list of channels keeps defaulting to show all channels including the adult ones that and all those useless shopping channels we don't want appearing in the TV guide.
I keep removing them so it looks the way we want and then a day or two later they are all back there again!! When will this be fixed? It could be a coincidence but it seemed to start around the time that BT launched the sports channels. I have a BT YouView box.

    Hi Guys,
This does not appear to only affect BT customers.  YouView are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.  In the meantime, retuning your box should help, by pressing the YouView button on your remote control, going to Settings, then TV Signal & Quality, then Re-tune Channels.
Sorry for any inconvenience or embarrassment this has caused.
    Cheers

  • How can I watch BBC/ITV player on my iPad

How can I watch BBC/ITV player on my ipad - someone has told me I need a flash player but there is no such thing on ipad

BBC iPlayer and ITV Player are both apps in the App Store.
You can also watch about 50 channels of live TV (including all BBC and ITV channels) if you point Safari at "TvCatchup".
Tell "somebody" that Flash is not required.
