No signal output on monitor after installin hyperx memory

I bought 2 512 pc3200 cl2 184 kingston hyperX (KHX3200AK2/1GR)
My mobo is msi k8n neo nvidia nforce 3 250gb chipset board
I have cpu 3400+ amd
I took out my 1gb of 2700 ddr333 to install my new ram ddr400 3200 hyperX kingston and when I turn on my computer, i get no signal in my monitor, i checked the cables, and what it does it goes black and then back to sayin no signal output on the monitor

Replace monitor cable with a good one.  If machine still won't boot then...
Follow Bejon's instructions carefully (remembering to remove power cord and waiting 3 minutes before opening case to reset cmos, then closing case after you have reset cmos as described in the user manual, and reattaching power cord after case is reclosed).  Once you can boot (with one stick of ram in slot closest to the cpu if you cannot boot with 2 sticks) hit "del" key to enter bios, select "optimized defaults", enter "cell menu", set dram/memory voltage to 2.75 (or higher if manufacturerer of HYPER X memory recommends more power - don't worry about flashing red warning, memory can handle it), then use "F10" and "yes" to save settings in bios.  Good luck.

    Hi,
I tried to update the latest BIOS for my computer and downloaded the latest BIOs version (2102 Feb version). I am sure the version I found is what I needed for my computer. I updated successfully according to suggestion from computer. After the computer suggest me to restart the compter, this when the problem occur. There is no signal to monitor after the computer started and it seems that there is no keyboard and mouse checking also during the starting process. I believe all collections are ok and monitor is no problem also.  I have got a black screen and the monitor suggest that no signal detected from both VGR and DIV.
I am not sure if someone can give advice on this problem?
Thank you so much and I lok forward to hearing from you.

I would say you need to clear your CMOS settings using the jumper on the motherboard. And if that doesn't help, you may have corrupted the BIOS... possibly making your computer a doorstop.

  • NO SIGNAL ON MY MONITOR AFTER MY COMPUTER SLEEPS

Once I am finish working on my Mac, it will fall asleep and 9.5 times out of 10 when I return, the two monitors that I have connected to it say no signal, so I am forced to shut the computer down manually and restart it. Upon restarting, the monitors work great. I am under the impression that when I return to the computer and move the mouse or touch the keyboard, the computer should wake up. Any advice? Thanks,
    Denny

It sounds like the Mac is waking up (since you need to "shut the computer down manually and restart it"), but the displays are not.  This forum category is for the PowerPC-based iMac.  iMacs can only connect one external display, so do you have a Power Mac G5?
In System Preferences Energy Saver pane, what happens if you set Compuer sleep to Never and Display sleep to the desired setting?  If the computer itself does not go into sleep mode, do the displays turn back ON when you move the mouse or press a key?

  • No signal on monitor after Windows 8 logo

I have a Lenovo H430-2558-1ZU desktop running Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. It orignally came with Windows 7. I was using it then all of a sudden the video went dead and I got no signal on the monitor. I restarted and after the Windows 8 logo, I get No Signal on the monitor. Windows 8 is running because I can hear sounds from the speakers. After using this method, I booted into safe mode. I uninstalled the Intel HD Graphics driver from safe mode and restarted in normal mode. It was fine for a few minutes, but then I got no signal on the monitor. So I booted into safe mode again and uninstalled the driver. I installed a new driver from intel's website, but I still have the same problem. I tried to uninstall the monitor driver, but still have the same issue. The monitor is connected to the computer's HDMI port via an XtremeMac HDMI to DVI cable. The monitor is a Viewsonic VX1945wm I've used for many years. I don't think this is a hardware problem, because my Ubuntu install works just fine. I'm at a loss here, IDK what to do. Please help!

    Hi seagdude,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I’m sorry to hear that monitor is displaying blank screen with “No Signal” error message even after re-installing the Graphic drivers the issue is same and the H430 is not working as expected in Safe Mode as well.
This seems to be compatibility issue with Windows 8 and as driver re-installation is done and the issue still persists, re-install the Operating System will resolve the issue using the Windows 7 recovery disc that is made when the computer had pre-installed Operating System in it.
NOTE: Please backup the data before performing OKR as the computer will be re-installed to its factory settings.
If recovery discs are not created, please contact our Telephone Support team for the further information, I’m sure they will be a great help.
NOTE: I have private messaged you Contact details of TFN(Toll Free Number).

  • My hp pav p7-1240 doesn't output to my monitor after i wake it up

I bought a new desktop (HP Pavilion P7-1240 ) just over a month ago because my previous one died. I am still using my old monitor that works fine. The last couple days however, I have woken my computer up and it seems as though it will not output any signal to the monitor. The light turns from blue to yellow on the desktop, but my monitor light stays yellow. \
I tried holding the power button and shutting it off and turning it back on again, but the only thing that i find will work is if I unplug the power cord from my desktop and then plug it in and turn it on again.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi:
The only advise I can offer is to see if you can get Vista recovery disks for your notebook by following the info at the link below. Click on the link labeled "Order Recovery Media."
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3860...
If the link doesn't work, you will have to call HP and order them by phone. Try either of these #'s.
They will cost significantly less if you can get them from HP.
    800-474-6836 or  888-999-4747.
If HP no longer has them, you can get them from this vendor at the link below for $27+shipping.
    http://www.computersurgeons.com/productdetails.aspx?ID=12898
Pass the cost of the recovery disks on to the buyer. They will probably be happy to have a set of recovery disks for the PC.

  • MacPro: How to prevent scanning for monitor after sleep?

    Hi everybody,
So here's the deal: When I power up my MacPro or wake it up from sleep, it seems to do a quick search for connected displays and activates only the DVI output(s) which have a monitor connected to them. While I understand that behavior at boot time, I find it really troublesome when waking the MacPro from sleep.
    Here's why:
I rarely turn off the MacPro completely, I much rather put it to sleep when I'm away. What I do, however, is to turn off the huge 30'' display that drains a lot of power when left on. When I come back, I just have to turn the display on before turning on the MacPro and everything is fine.
However, there's one scenario where I systematically get caught and that's really... really annoying! It happens in combination with the EyeTV Software. When I'm away by the time a scheduled show starts, the EyeTV wakes up the MacPro and starts recording. That's exactly what it's supposed to do. However, since the monitor is turned off by the time the MacPro wakes up, it won't recognize it and the graphics card won't send any signal! So when I come back to the computer and turn on the screen, It says "No Signal". The solution at this point is putting the MacPro to sleep briefly and resume it with the display turned on this time. However, putting the Mac to sleep while EyeTV is recording a show causes the recording to be rendered useless.
Is there a way to prevent the MacPro from rescanning for monitors after sleep? Or maybe there's a key combination to let it rescan manually?
As far as I remember, it didn't do the rescan-monitors-after-sleep thing under Tiger, but not sure about that...
Any help would be highly appreciated!

    Greetings,

What I do, however, is to turn off the huge 30'' display that drains a lot of power when left on.
The display should go to "Active-off mode" (amber power light) when the computer sleeps. This uses less than 2 watts.

If you do want the monitor off (e.g. to save power while EyeTV is recording), you could use a DVI Detective

Why does final cut x not recognize the sharp PN- K321 monitor ( European version ) as output video monitor, and premiere yes?
Working with two cinema display and PN- K321 and I can not preview the output video at 4K by DisplayPort, whereas with premiere and after effects I have no problems

Look, you can build an HD DVD with an SD movie, just as you can build an SD DVD with an HD movie. This is not a bug, it is most likely user error. Apple will not be addressing it.
Just start over, and ensure you are building an SD DVD by bringing up the inspector for the disc (click on the background in the Graphical tab).
Make sure SD DVD is selected:
(If you do the same thing on your ill fated project, you'll see that HD DVD is selected)
Build your DVD and you'll be fine.
    Patrick
P.S. You will need to google HD DVD and Blu-Ray if you want to understand the difference between the formats. The reason that DVDSP included HD DVD was that its format was similar to SD DVD's. Blu-Ray is something else entirely.

  • Modifying CAN Signal Output Waveform.vi

I have been working with the CAN Signal Output Waveform.vi trying to get data from my analogue input moduel (NI 9205) onto a CAN bus via my NI 9862.
I started off by working with the example VI; CAN Signal Output Waveform.vi (attached at the bottom of this post) and that worked fine, I could clearly see the data coming over the CAN bus into my analysis tool in real-time. To modify the vi I removed the Signal Generation components and added DAQmx Read blocks (again attached at the bottom of this post). When viewing the Waveform Chart window the changes I make to the input is reflected in the Waveform Chart window in real-time; however the data on the CAN bus is delayed by around 1 - 2 seconds. I am using the same XNET database in each setup so that isn't causing the issue.
The NI modules are housed inside a cDAQ-9178.
    Thanks.

Sorry, I meant do you have any other VIs that operate after this VI?
I think you answered my question though, you are just running this VI alone, right? If this is the only subVI that's being run then when it stops, the LabVIEW environment stops as well, which means your DAQmx tasks are no longer running. You need to make an application structure that allows for LabVIEW to continue running after this VI is called. Use this subVI in your initialization step and then have a user interface of some sort that continues operation. You can't just run this subVI and expect all of the DAQmx tasks and operations to continue if LabVIEW isn't running.

  • LPX apogee duet interface I/O but I get only the dry signal back to monitor

I use an apogee duet as I/O interface, the input channels all ok but I get only a dry signal back to the monitors. What I have to do for right routing the wet signals to my monitor? Duet is input and output (speaker) in the mac system and Logic Pro X, core audio is active.

I Assume you mean when you are recording. You have to turn software monitoring on  in the audio preferences or you can right click in the transport bar and check off thr box on the right hand side that says software monitoring. That will give you reverb or whatever on the recording channel for listening but it wont print the effect. It is just for listening

  • Fan is running on high speed, no signal to the monitor!

    Hi!
I have the following Problem with my G5:
It worked perfectly, but suddenly yesterday, I switched it on, it began just like always to boot the system, but i had no signal to the monitor.
After a couple of seconds the fan started to run very fast and did not stop anymore (at least for then minutes, then I switched the G5 off, because it's annoying)! I've treid it again, but the same Problem occured...
Has anyone else already had this Problem?
What are the reasons for this, and how can i solve this Problem?
    Cheers, Markus

Hello Markus, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Boot off your original G5 Install Disk while holding down Option/alt key to select AHT, then run the extended Apple Hardware Test.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.

How do i run an external monitor with my macbook and change settings so that when i close the lid the signal to the monitor is not lost and i can continue using the mac with a mouse and a wireless keyboard?

No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

  • No signal to VGA monitor using Mac mini display to VGA adaptor and first time boot Mac mini

Just unpacked Mac mini and powered up using Mac mini to VGA display adaptor and VGA monitor. There is no signal to the monitor ( power is on).
    How to see the display?

[    13.093] (==) No Layout section.  Using the first Screen section.
[    13.093] (==) No screen section available. Using defaults.
    [    13.093] (**) |-->Screen "Default Screen Section" (0)
    [    13.093] (**) |   |-->Monitor "<default monitor>"
[    13.093] (==) No monitor specified for screen "Default Screen Section".
            Using a default monitor configuration.
First step would be to create the necessary entries (easier to make a complete xorg.conf versus xorg.conf.d/##-whatever.conf).
All Desktop Environments / Window Managers rely on X.  Man pages are helpful, possibly some headaches ahead as I fought a dual-monitor display this way.
I currently run a xrandr script to switch displays on my hp pavilion: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xrandr#Scripts
