No SIM card installed, No SIM, Invalid SIM card

Hello,
I'm getting No SIM card installed on my iPhone 4. I got a new SIM card and 15 minutes later same error. I've reset network settings and also tried a restore with no luck. Genius Bar recommended wiping and starting over without restoring from Backup. Was going to erase mine and start over tonight but....
My wife bought a brand new iPhone 4 from AT&T today... At exactly the same time both of our phones came up with the No SIM card installed message! Her brand new iPhone 4 said the same thing.... This is after I sync'd it up to iTunes, only a few songs and a bunch of apps.
There is something going on with either the network or something with the phone or iTunes causing a problem with the phone. I've almost pinned it to something in iTunes 10.1 because I think this started happening about the same time I updated to iTunes 10.1. Both of us are now on iTunes 10.1.1.4.
iOS 4.2.1 on both phones... Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

I am having the same problem. I went to AT&T to get a new SIM card as someone suggested in another thread. Now I still get the same error message, but a lot more often at least once or twice a day. I have done hard resets each time and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Tech support suggested going to the Apple store, but the closes one is about 3 hours away.
As far as iTunes update, I think you are on to something because that is about the time mine started acting up. I am hoping an update in iTunes or the phone software will fix the problem.

    I know this is an old post, but I fell here having this same problem for some weeks now, and i just figured my issue. Hope it help others:
    My iPhone is connecting automatically with my itunes on computer. Not really sure what type of connection or wireless sync, but the fact is that it IS connecting.
    For some weird reason it gets Flash Builder crazy and it cannot find the right device anymore. Even when I get my iPhone connected by cable, it says that it found the device, but doesn`t publish to it. The Flash Builder says that it was published, but nothing gets installed, and the debugger cannot connect.
    MY SOLUTION (for now): Turn off the phone wi-fi, so it gets out of my home network. works like a charm and I finally can test on my device again.

    This tool is already installed on your system.
    1) navigate to http://<hostname>:<port>/index.html
    2) Click on "Webdynpro"
    3) Click on "Web Dynpro Console"
    3) Login as an Administrator (any user with admin priv's is ok).
    4) Notice the last entry in the list

    My 9 year old daughter got an iPod Touch and $25 iTunes giftcard. She attempted to open an iTunes account and used the $25 gift card to activate the account. After several attempts and failures with her own email address (apparently because she is not old enough for an account), she tried again with another email address, one that she made up. I sent an email from my email address to the one she used and it came back undeliverable because the email address did not exist. Is the giftcard used up, now? If so, how can I get the money back onto the card to use it on my iTunes account.     First, please understand that you are not communicating with Apple when you post here. We're all just fellow users, helping other users as we have time and knowledge to offer.
    In a situation like this there's nothing much we can do. My guess is that the iTunes Store automated registration system sent the usual validation request to the made-up email address, and since the address doesn't exist, there's no way to validate the account and access the credit balance. You'll need to contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. I would suggest you include the bogus email address and the gift card number in your message to them.

  • PeopleTools 8.53 , 9.2 Install - Missing or invalid version of SQL library

    I am installing 9.2 / 8.53 on a Windows 7 Professional (64 Bit) Machine
    I have installed Oracle 11g 32 bit (Server and Client) edition that has the following paths:
    C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1 and
    C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1
    I can connect to DB with SYSADM , PS accounts with no issues and also to App Designer and Data Mover ;
    I am trying to configure App Server. The Tuxedo is 64 bit. Installed this with no issue.
    On the PSAdmin configuration for App Server, I have provided the path of C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin.
    When trying to boot, it gives me the below errors in log file:
    PS General SQL Routines: Missing or invalid version of SQL library PSORA64 (200,0)
    and stderr file has:
    LoadLibraryA() in pscompat.dll failed for 'PSORA64.dll': reason=126
    How to fix this?

    Your DB should already have been installed on 64 bit Oracle Server.
    The Application server, as stated in the installation manual in Task 8A-4: Creating, Configuring, and Starting an Initial Application Server Domain:
    Enter 20 for AddToPATH, and enter the path to the 64-bit connectivity software
    If DB and Appserver are on the same server you can reuse the DB libs, otherwise you need to install a 64 bit Oracle Client for the application server
    Note:
    Application Designer, Datamover, etc still need 32 bits Oracle Client for connectivity.

    This happens due to incorrect shell folder value type, or due to incorrect data in the registry. To resolve the problem, fix the My Pictures Shell folder paths in the registry accordingly. The default values are given in a tabular column in the following article. There is also a .REG fix available in the following page:

    Don't forget to inspect the value type. If you're using an expandable string data such as %userprofile%, then the registry value type should be of REGEXPANDSZ, not REG_SZ.

    Mmmmhmmm. Well when your computer is running through the installation preparation screens, there should be one where it will ask you where the location is you want iTunes to be loaded into. Change it to drive C. That SHOULD do it.
    To be honest...I wish I had a Mac. Seems like they are much more reliable.

  • Error installing Acrobat.pro (Invalid serial number??)

    I have a DVD set Adobe creative Suite 5 design standard which consist with 2 DVD for Design Standard and one (1) DVD for Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO (all Windows version)
    I was try to install all DVD's on my win8.1 machine, but I coudn't install Acrobat 9 PRO.
    When I was write down serial number which I found on Adobe Certifikate printed from "Obtain License Certificates" site

    Sistem give me an error "Invalid serial number" as you can see on the picture, below.

    I have checked the serial number you have provided and it looks like a Volume Serial number to me. There are mainly two reasons why this error might pop up :
    1) You are using the installer for a Retail product and using the volume serial number as that combination do not work.
    2) You have a stand alone installer for Acrobat and not a suite installer.
    I would request you to kindly navigate back to the licensing website and go to Licenses>Downloads and search for the download link for the Creative Suite 5 and then download Acrobat again. This should resolve the concern that you have.

    We've installed OCS v1 on a SuSE SLES 8 Linux system SP2. For some unknown reason the installation and configuration of OID picked up part of the IP address instead of the domain name. The IP address of our Infrastructure server is 10.0.67.13 domain name is tron.test and our LDAP port is 389. As odd as this is I was able to go into OIDDAS and add a couple test users. I'm also able to connect to OCS mail and send and receive mail with these users. When I look in OIDADMIN I see the tree and sub-tree to these users as Entry- Management-->dc=13-->dc=67-->dc=0-->users, and then in users are the ones I added with OIDDAS.
    The problem is that we're trying to run perftest against this OCS nstallation for load testing. I create test users in oesusers.ldif file below using the ldif.template below as input. When I run the LDAPadd command below using the oesusers.ldif to populate the test users into ldap I receive the error at the bottom below. I've done this once in a Win2k installation but there the OCS OID installation used the domain name in OIDADMIN rather than the IP address and I was able to use that in the ldif.template and everything worked.
    ldapadd -c -v -p 389 -D"cn=orcladmin" -w oracle1 -f ./oesusers.ldif
    adding new entry cn=tuser1,cn=users,dc=0,dc=67,dc=13 ldap_add: Constraint violation .dap_add: additional info: Admin domain does not contain schema information for objectclass inetOrgPerson
    Does anyone know why I get the IP address instead of the domain name?

    Yes the QT 7 key should be good since 2005. Did you enter/copy both the key AND the name (to include any salutation/suffix like Mr., Dr., Jr., etc.) as used in your account name/confirmation message. Both are significant and must be entered exactly as given for the purchased platform type.

  • IBook G4 can't install Tiger and "Invalid memory access"

    My friend recently bought an iBook G4, came with Panther 10.3.9 on it, he has been trying to install a retail version of Tiger on it and
    At first the installer would pop up, he'd go through the steps and then it would prompt him to restart but once it had rebooted nothing had changed, still in 10.3.9.
    Then he restarted with Alt, and tried to boot from the installer disk and he got the following message "Invalid Memory Access at % SRRO: 3132636c % SRRI: 40003030"
    He was then prompted to type "mac-boot" to restart and upon restarting he got a folder icon with a question mark, which I understand means the HD couldn't be detected but it still booted up anyway.
    Any thoughts? :/

    I'm not sure what that error message means, but I am wondering if the hard drive might be beginning to go south. If you open Disk Utility, is the S.M.A.R.T. status verified? If the drive is the original, then it could well be getting to the end of its useful life of 3-5 years, even if it is still working after a fashion.
    Did your friend get the original Panther system discs? If so, it might be a good idea to run the extended version of the Apple Hardware Test and see if anything shows up.
    One thing to try is to boot from the Tiger install disc and then navigate to Disk Utility. Since this iBook is a recent purchase, it may be that there is no data to save. If so, your friend could go ahead and erase and reformat the disk before proceeding with the installation.
    If Disk Utility cannot erase and reformat the disk or if the disk cannot be seen, then it will likely not be possible to install anything.
    Also, be sure the RAM meets the minimum requirements for Tiger.

    Apparently there seems to be an error extracting something from the package. Does this mean the pkg-fileis damaged or can I do something to fix it? It seems the image is damaged. Any suggestions?
    EDIT: I downloaded for the third time and opened the DMG file through Finder (i normally use Pathfinder as a substitute for Finder) and after control of the DMG file I got the following message: "Lightroom_4_LS11.dmg non-valid checksum" < (my translation from Danish).
    EDIT 2 [FIXED]:
    The first three attempts were on images downloaded from the education store. All three downloads yielded a DMG image that failed CrC32 checksum control. I then downloaded lightroom as a trial from the main Adobe page. The image has the same size as the one I downloaded from the store. I Installed, provided my serial number and everything went fine. I performed checksum control with disk utility and it reported no errors. Thus, it seems the DMG image in the education store is corrupted.
