No sim iOS 8.0.2

I have an verizon iphone 5. I keep getting a "No SIM installed message" It is a glitch with ios 8.0.2.  What should I do?

    Situation:
    - Factory unlocked iPhone 4s
    - I swap between Rogers and StraightTalk SIM chips as I cross the US/Canada border twice a week
    - I install the StraightTalk APN profile when plugging in the StraightTalk SIM
    - I remove the StraightTalk APN profile when plugging in the Rogers SIM
    This worked perfectly in iOS 5.1.1
    Under iOS 6, this doesn't. Either direction. (Multiple attempts to confirm I wasn't going mad.)
    Only Resetting Network Settings is successful. (And doing so also resets iMessage settings, bahh!)
    Several things I've tried, all with no avail:
    - Turning it off and on again/rebooting
    - Actually installing a Roger APN profile
    - Airplane mode on/off
    Not fatal, but annoying.

    6.0.1 seemed to fix the iMessage problem (it no longer reverted to sending from my phone #.)
    But this problem still exists in 6.0.1. Swapping the SIM in a Factory Unlocked iOS 6 phone requires resetting of Network Settings to work.
    iOS 5 worked fine.
    Sigh.
    Any one with any ideas?

    I have an iphone 4 with vodafone and from the 5.1.1 update I get errors sporadically sim, sim invalid. Is solved when I put the mobile in airplane mode, but after a few hours I happens again the same error.
    I tried to restore the phone but the error persists.
    Anyone but him? How I can fix it?

    Replace the SIM card with a new one from Vodafone.

    The update copied all my apps and content back to my iPad. Are all your apps on your computer's iTunes ? An iPad backup only contains your apps content and settings and not the actual apps, so for the restore to be able to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps. If you re-download them to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that copies them and their content back to the iPad.     Hello everybody.
    I am experiencing problems trying to run System Generator within ISE v13.1. In order to isolate the problem I implemented a very simple design, which is only one In gateway, one Out gateway and one AddSub block.
    It happens that System Generator is not able to generate the core for the AddSub block (what any other block). Looking at the error log I get:

    It seems it cannot open a file for writing in it. If I try to implement exactly the same design in ISE 12.4, at the same PC, it works fine. I tried reinstalling ISE several times without success.
    I am using Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 3 and do have administrator privileges in my machine.
    Does anybody have the same problem?

    The original issue was fixed using the temp path with no special characters in it which you can cross check.
    Provide more details on the tools used and versions(ISE and MATLAB) and exact error message if the temp path is fine in your environment.

    Ich habe mir heute ein neues ipad 4 gekauft... Und nun bin ich echt sprachlos:
    iPad 4 mit SIM,
    iOS 6.1
    Wenn ich den Seitenschalter betätige, geht das iPad in den standby Mode, oder ich Lande auf der Seite zum ausschalten. Der Ausschalter oben geht gar nicht, es sei denn der Seitenschalter steht auf "Ton an"
    Da ich schon ein iPad, iPhone, iPod habe, und noch nie Probleme damit hatte bin ich echt sprachlos über dieses Problem.
    Kann einer helfen oder hatte schon einmal so einen Fall?
    Muss ich es einschicken oder zum Händler bringen? Oder wird mir ein 1zu1 Tausch von Apple angeboten?

    In den ersten zwei Jahren ist im Prinzip der erste Ansprechpartener für defekte Geräte immer zunächst der Verkäufer/Laden, wo man gekauft hat; er ist gewährleistungspflichtig.
    Man kann auch auf die Garantie von Apple zurückgreifen, muss dann aber die Frachtkosten selbst zahlen.
    Einen Tausch bietet Apple meines Wissens nur an, wenn man direkt bei Apple gekauft hat. Und einen 1 zu 1 Tausch – also wenn UPS das defekte Gerät abholt, gleich ein Neues bekommen – muss man momentan mit 29 EUR extra bezahlen (so wars bei meinem iPhone).

    A notification popped up this morning asking me to update to iOS 5.1 so I updated it. Once I downloaded and installed it, it said "no sim installed". I have rebooted my phone, taken out and put back in the sim but the error message remains. I can't make calls or message, but my internet works. Anything else I can try?

    i have the same problem with the 4s.  I have a (cutdown) sim from virgin (in the UK), who do not offer the iphone, but it worked perfectly until this upgrade (to ios 5.1).  The phone was bought unlocked from apple.  now i have the no sim error.  I am trying a restore and have booked a genius bar appt for later today.  I have a very expensive touch at present.  The sim is working fine in my old nokia, so it is not the sim that is faulty.  What is going on here, why would i want to upgrade if this just creates problems.  I have been up since 5am now trying to sort this so i have a phone again.

    Without contract is not the same as unlocked. The update to iOS 7 relocked
    the iPhone to the wireless carrier to which it was originally locked. You must
    contact that wireless carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
    If you used jailbreak or other hack to unlock the iPhone initially, the method
    used may prevent a legitimate unlock from succeeding and may render your
    iPhone unuseable.

    Every time i connect it to itunes all it says is "There is no SIM card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate." Even thought there is a sim card connected in my phone.

    Is the SIM from a supported carrier?
    Is the device carrier locked, officially unlocked, or hacked to be unlocked?
    Has the SIM been reseated?  If not, try that.
    Also, basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore.  Has any of that been tried?

    I just upgraded my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5. All went well, then at the end, it asks me a few set ups (like language, Location, and WiFi settings).
    After that, it attempts to activate, and fails, giving me the following error in iTunes: "There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate."
    Problem is, there IS a SIM card in the phone, I tried taking it out, and putting it back in, tried with another SIM, tried the SIM in another phone, worked fine, just not the iPhone!
    I would appreciate any help!
    Also, the phone was Jailbroken before, and the SIM worked fine. Just not now, when it tries to activate.
    IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO BACK TO THE BEST PREVIOUS UPDATE OF IOS4. THAT"S ALL I EXPECT NOW!

    Have you jailbroken your phone before?
    If you have, I don't see any way you could go back to IOS4 (4.3.3 or 4.3.5) (However, experts might be able to help you)
    When you jailbreak you iPhone you update your baseband to iPad's Baseband i.e. 6.50 (something like that) & once that happens there's no going back (at least a legitimate way) unless you do what this guy says.

    You always need a SIM card to activated any iPhone.
    For iPhone 5, you'll need a nano-sim card.

    Well, if you did it yourself, then there is a chance that you damaged some other component inside the device that is causing your issue. The iPhone's are not user serviceable, and once you have opened the device you have voided any warranty and post-warranty support from Apple. I would try Google to see if you can find any other way to repair your device, as Apple will no longer look at it.

    Sounds like your phone was software unlocked, or hacked/jailbroken, to work with any carrier. Updating the phone restored the original carrier lock. All you can do now is contact the carrier it is locked to and see if they have an unlocking policy.

    Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller?  Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones.  The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
    Try these steps, as needed:
    1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
    2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
    4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
    5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
