No songs on playlists appear

Songs on playlists at my iPod do not appear. My songs appear everywhere: at iTunes in my computer (MacBook Pro), inside the playlists in my iPod section on my computer iTunes (when my iPod is plugged) and my songs also appear in my iPod itself (but not in the corresponding playlists.
I have already reset my iPod and also have re-installed the iOS on it and nothing has worked.
Anybody knows the way I can fix this issue?
Thanks in advance ¡¡¡

This Apple knowledge-base article may help address that issue.

  • Why is it that when I connect my iPod to my car stereo through USB, some of the songs don't appear and play when these songs are on my playlist normally?

    Hello all
This has been bugging me for a little while. I bought myself a new bluray player awhile back and it has a USB hookup for ipods. This goes the same with my vehicle too. I have a few good playlists with some great songs, however, when i hooked it up to my bluray player, some of the songs didn't appear in the playlist that are not normally there. I disconnected the ipod and had a look on the screen and sure enough the songs are there, but they are just not appearing on the bluray player. This only happens for some songs, not all of them. I was disappointed at this because I really wanted to hear my songs. So I decided to download the WHOLE album off of itunes from which I got the song from and sure enough, this time the song appeared on my bluray player and it played in the playlist.
Why is this? Is there a way to make it so that I can have all the songs play without downloading all of the albums?

Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs  will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

    Try:
    - Another cable
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How do I get the song titles to appear when I burn a playlist from iTunes?

I burned a playlist from iTunes, and the song titles on the burned CD changed to Track 1, Track 2, Track 3, etc. How can I get the song titles to appear as they do in iTunes? Is this really too much to ask from the world's leading music player software?

If you are burning an audio CD, you cannot as audio CDs do not have track names. Nothing to do with Apple.

  • Songs doesn't appear in playlist

It looks like I'm the only one who have this bug.
Sometimes when I add a song to the walkman playlist, the song doesn't appear in the list actually. It's annoying and stupid.
I don't think I'm misusing the phone. The only reason I expected Kitkat update for Z1 was minor bugs fixing. But not only bugs were not fixed, but this version presented me much more bugs instead.
Watch this short video and you will understand.

    Yes, I already did it.
I noticed it seems to occur more frequently after a OS update or after reseting the phone.
Then it becomes less frequent, but it's still occurs.
I also would like to give you a suggestion. An option that we can add all the songs of an artist to the current playlist.
Today I hold my finger on a song, and I can add it to the list. I hold my finger on an album, and I can add the entire album to the list. But when I hold my finger on an artist, there's no option to enqueue it in the current playlist.
It's an option that exists in my old Xperia Pro, but it seems to not exist in Z1's Walkman.
By the way, in Xperia Pro I never noticed the bug mentioned in the beggining of this topic. I always enqueued songs normally.

  • Organization Problems.  Can no longer put songs in playlists.

    First
"Why am I reposting my earlier question?"
    ANSWER:
    1.  I had to post my question a second time because as you can see my first post isn't showing as a question anymore nor does it allow me to recheck the   "box" that turns my post into a  question.
    2.  I received suggested answers via a "popup".  The answers were dated 2006 and 2008.
    3.  While some questions may be able to have answers from that long ago, my question requires a 2011 answer.
I knew how to drag songs to my playlist in 2008!
    4.  The saddest part is while Apple is sending me expired answers from 2006 and 2008, Ask.com already has a thread on this subject.
Second:  Please help me with my original question.
How do I select multiple songs and move them to a playlist?
    1. I was shocked when I went into Itunes and I could not drag any of my songs from one playlist to another.  I clicked and tapped and held down the cntrl/shift key.  Until yesterday, I would have told you I was extrememly confident in my Itunes skills.  It is one thing to not realize that this would be a problem but then to have NOTHING in the "help box" that addressed this common issue.
    2. I teach "Writing in the Workplace" so I know that I exhausted the Itunes "help" box as well as anyone could.
    3.  I manually manage my music and I am going to continue to manually magage my playlists due to organizational needs.
    4.  AND I need to move songs to playlists WITHOUT activitating Ping.
5..  I feel like Apple is bullying me into using PING.  I say this because the Itunes help section DOES have instructions on how organize my playlist IN PING.

    Thanks for responding!
My question is  the Headline and Is repeated as the 2nd header.
Second:  Please help me with my original question.
How do I select multiple songs and move them to a playlist?
I have songs in my "music" playlist and all I need to do is move them to my "marathon" playlist.
Obviously, there has been an upgrade that changed the basic operation something that has my songs locked in place.  However, nothing appears in the "help" that remotely answers my question.
I am just really sad it has taken me so long for something so simple and that I had to post here for something that should have been in "help" before the change was allowed to even happen.
Soooo....too make a short question even longer I had to run my 1/2 marathon without music this morning and I am not closer to getting those pesky music files to move from one playlist to another.
Hope you can help!  I got so many hits last night but no one even said "boo".  I think it is because my first message was marked "solved"

  • My IPod no longer shuffles songs within playlists that are clearly set to shuffle.  It is about 3/4 full so I thought of maybe compressing the files to get more space.  Do you think that is the problem and if that might help?

My IPod no longer shuffles songs within playlists that are clearly set to shuffle.  It is about 3/4 full so I thought of maybe compressing the files to get more space.  Do you think that is the problem and if that might help?

Storage space on the iPod would not affect shuffled playlists or playlist shuffling, though substantially full iPods may wind up skipping songs on larger playlists after a while, and require a restart.  As for compressing the files themselves, you can automatically re-encode files to a lower bitrate by checking the box on the summary page when your iPod is connected to your PC/Mac.
As for the shuffle problem, after restarting your iPod (hold the center button and Menu for a few seconds, until the Apple logo appears), make sure you're telling the iPod to shuffle the songs in a playlist by repeatedly clicking the center button until the Suffle Menu comes up, then scroll to the right to turn it on.  From that song forward, the playlists' contents should be shuffled every time the playlist ends, or is accessed from a new song.
Shuffle does sometimes turn itself off, I've found, so double-check the setting is still on.  Also, iPods shuffle by randomly assigning a playlist order for your songs, which is different from traditional shuffle (on, say, iTunes or Windows Media Player, where the new song is determined at random upon the current track ending.  The iPod only chooses a random order of songs when you shuffle, to conserve battery life and queue up songs coming up on the playlist in the event of a shock).

  • Songs and playlists missing in apple TV

itunes match is working on all my devices except the apple TV. None of my non-itunes songs or playlists are available on the apple tv. I have it showing all playlists on the apple tv and itunes match is activated on it. I am able to listen to itunes radio ad-free, but still none of my playlists are available. Anyone know what the problem could be?

This seems to be the root cause at the moment. Unfortunately, it does not appear to have a fix until 11.1.5 is released.

  • When downloading updates from iTunes to my iPhone my playlists appear in reverse order with least played at the top. I just want the playlist to appear in the same order as my iTunes library. This seems to have changed after downloading iCloud

When dowloading updates from my iTunes library onto my iPhone
my playlists appear in reverse order with the least played at the top of the list
and most played at the end on the playlist.
Therefore I cant play my favourites in the order that I like to hear them.
This all changed when I recently downloaded the iCloud application.

    Hi Jim,
Is this temporary cache accessing my data when I play songs from it? As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still able to listen to these songs even when my phone is in airplane mode and the download icon is still present next to said songs. This implies that the songs are already downloaded onto my phone even if I didn't opt to download them directly from the cloud -- they're on my phone because my phone was shuffling my library on a wifi network.

  • Can't reorder songs in playlist.

I would like to reorder my songs in playlists to reflect the order on the original taping but it resists all attempts, despite my following the instructions in "help". My previous copy of itunes had no problems, I could drag to the order I needed....???
    Thanks.

Before you can drag to re-order, make sure that you click on the top of the left most column:
Thanks, but no go. I can't get that "bar" to appear that shows where the song is going to land when you let go of the clicker no matter what I do. It's some stupid setting, maybe I should resort to setting everything back to default settings... can I do that?
    thanks

  • Lost songs from playlist / can't drag songs in playlist

    Hey
I created a playlist of about 7 hours and seem to have lost a whole bunch of songs without deleting them and now can't move anything around in that playlist. My other playlists appear to be working fine. Any ideas?
    Thanks! Kirsty

Can you play these songs listed in the library and not in the playlist? Are these playlist smart playlist or just regular ones?

  • Duplicated playlist appearing in Zen Mi

I couldn't locate any thread related to this problem. If there was any , please show me.
Sometimes, when I transfer songs to my zen micro, one of the playlist appears repeatedly in the device playlists, eventhough it's listed one in Windows Media Player.
This behaviour has taken place several times during the year I had own the device, with different playlists. I suspect it starts when I first created them and sync with the device. It "chooses" one playlist to appear repeated once in the device after the second sync. Whenever I sync again, the playlist appears one more time. I can't count how many times I have the playlist, because it surpases the lines of ZM display! (5 maybe)
Does anyone knows how to solve this? I now I can format ZM's hard disk, but: does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it from happening again?Message Edited by raft on 03-22-200605:55 PM

OK. Nobody with the same problem, it appears. I've deleted the repeated playlist and will see what happens. If it stays OK or after a while they start to replicate.

  • I tunes 12 doesn't paste songs to playlists

I work with Itunes and I've got lots of playlists.
In any version until now I could copy (select + cmd-c) a song or a group of songs and paste them (cmd-v) into another playlist.
For some reason ITunes 12 copies the selected song, but doesn't paste it.
Even in the Edit Menu, that pasting option is greyed out.
Please does any one have the same problem / solution??
The only option is to drag and drop songs into playlists, but this option is like 10 times slower and cumbersome.
    Thanks a lot

    I have found an option...
there is a wheel on the bottom Right of Itunes, when clicked, a menu unfolded, giving me the option of "Edit Playlist"
I click on it, and  a new column appeared on the right, now I can copy and paste songs into the playlist.
It's kind of ok, but I can't see the full details of the songs in the playlist I'm using.
Also it's an unnecessary extra step

  • Songs won't appear on the nano?!

***?! i plugged in my iPod nano to my home computer, downloaded my library, then i went to toronto, and to charge it, i loaded itunes onto another computer, then plugged in the ipod... and now my nano shows that i hav no songs at all! The second computer doesn't have any music on it... is that significant? Pls help! I NEED MUSIC!

    Welcome to the discussions.
It sounds like you synced your nano with the empty-library computer. This would erase all your music. A warning box with the following should have appeared:
The iPod "iPod" is linked to another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library?
In the future, be wary of this.

Older Zens don't support AAC, which is the format iTunes uses for songs.
You can convert from AAC to MP3, which every media player under the sun will play.  Here's a tutorial: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-12519_7-10096807-49.html
