No sound Adobe Flash 11.7.202

No sound in Adobe 11.7.202.  Crashes sometimes when I connect to online class (windows vista, IE). Class video freezes also. At times has no sound at beginning of class but will have sound when close out & return to class.

I got that error message when trying to revert from Flash Player version 11.x to 10.3 because one of my computers does not meet the CPU requirements to run version 11 efficiently (it had an Intel Pentium 1Ghz processor - not even fast enough to handle flash 11.x).  if you are trying to install an older version of flash player after removing flash player 11 (like 10.3) and you are running Windows, open Registry Editor and delete the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\SafeVersions
then close registry editor and run the flash player installer for the older version.

  • Adobe Flash v11.2.202.233 does not work

    hi,
We are experiencing a problem with adobe flash and the managed add ons in IE9.
    OS - Win7 64bit
    Browser - IE9
I install flash across our company using GPO startup scripts and the MSI for IE. Flash has always been successfully deployed by this method.
Now, when I recently updated to the latest version of flash, initially flash installs fine and can be seen in the managed add-ons within IE9 (Shockwave Flash Object). BUT upon rebooting the pc flash no longer appears in the managed addons of  IE9 but it is still installed, for this can be viewed through add/remove programs.
Therefore no flash content can be viewed after the reboot of the Win7 pc.
Active X filtering is turned off.
We also updated to this flash version for our xp 32bit pc's using the 32bit flash msi and have no problems after a reboot.
    Any advice. ?

We are also having a similar problem with 11.2.202.233.
Environment is Windows 7, IE 9 and Firefox 12 on a new pc.
I have tried everything including a 'clean' install as described elsewhere on Adobe.
    There are some differences.
After unchecking 'Active X Filtering' and using Windows Media Center to force the download of the Netflix app, we
can watch Netflix video on IE 9.  No other video site works, instead you can see the 'Movie not downloaded' message
when you right click.  Strangely, it correctly identifies the Flash version.  Even more strangely if I click on 'Check Now' in the Flash Player Settings Manager, the validation video runs.  I will note that the URL launched from that button uses HTTPS.  If I go to the same page with HTTP the video does not run.
If I CHECK 'Active X Filtering', Youtube will complain that I should update, but I can watch video.  No other site works, including Netflix and the https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about link.
We have the CA security suite and there are no complaints about blocked sites etc. in the firewall logs.
Perhaps Adobe should have some way to log what the active x control is seeing?

  • No sound in flash 11.7.202-How to revert to 10.3

I've tried all the suggestions for 11.7.202 and still no sound.  I only use it to attend online class & have missed 3 classes because of that.  It's a language class so I have to have sound.  Wanted to revert to 10.3 (suggested by class website) but cannot view video or HTML in FAQ that explains how to do that.. Any written instructions on reverting would be great.  I've got 3 more weeks of class so hope I can fix this soon. halfcher

  • Adobe Flash keeps crashing, sound doesn't work (speakers work fine) - done everything I can to fix, nothing works

Yesterday I noticed on grooveshark (a site where you can stream music), it wasn't loading. everytime I would try and load it, the plugin shockwave flash would crash - sometimes, the site would load, but when i'd stream a song, no sound would play. Youtube videos can't play as well - the page freezes up before the video can load anything. I've tried downloading shockwave flash on mozilla to see if it's just a problem for chrome, but it's my entire computer. Nothing involving sound/adobe flash is working properly. I've spent hours researching on how to fix it - delete caches, disable hardware acceleration, etc. Nothing seems to be working. does anyone have any tips on what I can do to fix this?

Thanks; it started working after I reboot twice anyways though (which is weird, but oh well I guess).  Hopefully it stays working this time (the funny thing is the sound never previously worked until I'd installed festival/done that muting and unmuting thing).  At least, it never played the startup sound for KDE (other sounds seemed to work, at a time anyways).
I hate when problems just fix themselves, cuz then if you ever have them again you don't know what to do.

  • Need Detailed description of the differences between Adobe Flash Player Plugin and Shockwave Flash

For many years now I have been in a quandry over Adobe Flash (plugin) and Shockwave flash. The quandry is also somewhat exacerbated by the variety of subsetted versions supplied for each.
You know, it is sorta like the name and namespace dilemna provided by Adobe's continuing use of "Macromedia" when sometimes referring to, or distributing, their products... eg still creating Macromedia folders during installs.
I have been told that Shockwave Flash actually contains the Flash plugins. If that is the case should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Flash version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces
a newer version of Adobe Flash.
Will you please provide me with details for, and distinctions between, these two products?
Hoping you can respond in a flash ... er... two flashes.
    Thanks

OK Thanks I silly-goofed in describing what I meant in my initial post. I needed to say what's the diff between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) (plugin) and Adobe Shockwave Player.
So will you please detail the differences between Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) and Shockwave Player?
I have been told that Shockwave Player actually contains the Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) plugins. Is it both
Flash Player ActiveX control for Internet Explorer
Flash Player plugin for all other browsers
    that are contained therein?
If the above is indeed the case, should I be upgrading to a newer Shockwave Player version if  Adobe announces or (as recently occurred) denounces a newer version of Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) .
Here's where I am headed will all this:
I have been asked by one of your coworkers Chris Campbell,  to prepare an Adobe Bug report and paste back to the Adobe Forum thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4428382#4428382
Since I have Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6.4.634 and Adobe Flash (aka Adobe Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 currently installed and since
Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235 will not install without a "...The  procedure entry point ... kernel32.dll ..." error for my Windows 2000 Professional configuration
I want to uninstall Adobe Flash (=Shockwave Flash) ver 11,1,102,55 and the then further troubleshoot the MLB.TV media player "abnormal spinning circles" problem.
Will the MLB NexDef detector actually detect the "Flash version inside Shockwave player"?  Will the MLB.TV NexDef software actually work nicely with Shockwave Player Flash?

  • Adobe flash hangs browser

For a few months now since Adobe updated the flash player on Linux the player has caused direct rendering issues to the whole desktop. Most obvious crash is the hang of the browser without being able to get firefox to respond.
The Browser goes into Disk Sleep and can not be killed or restarted.
I not tried rolling back the flash player to the previous version yet. If it is the flash player at fault then maybe i need get it masked in portage but that is another story.
Flash player version i was using is:
    www-plugins/adobe-flash-11.2.202.336
Ill try and roll back the version and see if it still happens to determine if it is something in the binary blab from Adobe.
Note i have tried this on version 24 of the browser including the latest version i am using at present.

Hi, thank you for the reply.
I am on GNU/Linux not windows. All versions of Adobe flash above 11.2.xxx are NOT available.
Adobe have cut support for versions above to 11.2 for Linux and GNU software.
I rolled back the player to:
    adobe-flash-11.2.202.327_pre
And it still hangs the same. The suggestions you made have all been carried out. This issue has been driving me mad for several months.
If one does not forcefully kill the browser then you can regain control of the Disk Sleep state by being very patient and closing the offending tab containing the flash content that is trying to load the flash player.
Can take up to 10 min to close the tab. once closed the browser returns to normal.
I cant seem to find any prior version to roll back to other than the one i have listed above. So it seems all of the builds 11.2.202.3XX cause this problem.
I cant seem to fetch any versions lower to rollback.
Again note that i am using the open source branded version that was compiled from source using GCC options "march=native -O2 -gddb".
The last time i managed to create this occurance was when i had two flash content screens playing on two screens while 3D rendering was also being used i.e. Compiz-fusion and WebGL HTML5 content. I personally have a feeling it is a conflict between WebGL and Flash but i can not be sure hence i posted here as i cant figure it out.
For now the solution is to uninstall Adobe-Flash and use the convert flash to HTML5 player, this does not work for all content though as some embeded code wont work with this plugin.

  • What can I do with Adobe Flash Upgrade required issues and facebook.

    I have Windows 7
    32 bit processor
    130 GHz
    IE 9.05 upgraded
    Adobe Flash 11.2.202.228
I do not want to change to a differnt browser to fix this. I am not able to run some YouTube files if sent through email and any items that use flash on face book both ask for me to update. I uninstalled adobe and all of its products as well as deleted all internet files and cookies. I than re-installed Flash and rebooted and I still get the message that I need to update Adobe Flash and it will not let me view the information.
I am not sure what to do next as this has been an issue for a long time.
    Help
    RJ

    Hi RJ,
I know you mentioned that you deleted internet files and cookies, but can you try specifically deleting Flash cookies to be sure?
How do I clear my Flash Player cache and settings?

  • 11.2.202.228 Adobe Flash Plugin Crashing

First, I wanted to apologize if this was the wrong forum. I could not seem to post anything to the Flash Player Forums. Thanks.
Okay. So, after a while of trying to send the bug reports, I figured this might be a bit easier. I recently updated the Flash Player to the most recent Windows XP (SP3) version of 11.2.202.228 on 3/31/12.  There have been little to no crashes up to this point while using previous versions. However, on the following day, I attempt to use Google's music player and get a crash message. Refreshing the page did not seem to help. I attempted other websites that use it like Netflix and youtube and those were either crashing in the case of youtube, or not working properly (not offering sound) in the case of Netflix. I have attempted to check my various settings, both for the Player and for Mozilla Firefox v11.0, and haven't seen anything that would interfere. I restarted my computer to no avail. I have even checked your troubleshooting page and I still do see the moving dot. Let me know if you need any further info.
Are there any other things I need to check? What can I do to fix this?
    Thanks again.
    Justin
[Edit] Even tried to remove it via Add/Remove Programs and reinstall from a fresh download. Still did not help.

Have had problems with the latest update and decided to go back to the previous version
    Flash Player 11.1.102.63
on the Adobe Flash archive which fixed things.
    Archive Here>>>  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Am using Win 7 64bit and will not try Flash updating until the next version. This also caused problems on another computer using Win 7 pro and a downgrade to the previous version has made things OK.
    Good luck

Just installed adobe flash 11.7.700.202 and my flash is still broke been like this like 3 months now. facebook game dead and or videos on facebook play sound but with a black screen. but videos on you tube work just fine. any thoughts or help anyone ?????  have deleted and reinstalled many time. cleaned registry with every install. very sick of this :-(
    I am running windows 7 64bit with IE 10.

    @commandt2 -
The first thing I'd try is updating your video driver.
Windows: how do I update the device driver for my video/display adapter?
If you still have problems and you're using Windows 7 x64, please check to see if you have the following Windows update installed:
    KB2670838 – Platform Update for Windows 7 x64
If so, please uninstall it and try Flash Player out again.

    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == don't know

What does the Adobe test page say?
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • Why is adobe flash player 11.2.202.228 not working on any of my computers or browsers?

I try to go on youtube, or any other online video, and the player screen is always black or non-existent. I try this on two different types of macs, and a dell. I tried on IE, Chrome, Fire Fox, and Safari. I right click on where the play screen should be, and it gives me two options: Movie not loaded... (in grey text), and, About Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.228. How can I fix this?

    Chris,
I followed your URLs, The Rainbird site now functions after I disable and enable Flash and I checked and uncheck Active-X.  The UTube site still displays a green picture area.  The ad displays without a problem and pictures display (thumbnails) as I slide the along the time status bar.  From your first URL my system is running 235 not 228, if that makes a difference.
Thanks for your time and I hope this helps you.  Reading your text the images that I am getting from your URL, do not match the text.  The images look like screen shots from an audio application.
I do not see a white box with a red X.

    Then empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop > Empty Caches
Quit and relaunch Safari then try Flash on a website for sound.

  • No sound after installing Adobe Flash 11.7

After installing the new Adobe Flash Player 11.7 I have no sound.
I reinstalled, uninstalled and started the imac new but I find no solution.
When I'm starting the imac, I always heard the opening sound.
After searching and contacting the support with no results, I try to turn
up the volume at the source and connect the soundsystem again and
    now can hear the music.
I think Adobe reduce the sound of the source at zero, and the imac
    rest on the last position.
I'm right? Many Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.
