No sound after updating to 10.7.3 - no boot camp available

All sounds gone after updating to 10.7.3
tried to reset NVRAM + PRAM via pressing (cmd)+(alt)+(p)+(r) while starting - this was not helping.
Found also the thread below, but i have no boot camp available

You should correct the model of mac, cannot be PowerBook, perhaps MacBook or MacBook Pro.
I have read that many people have had problems after last update, here all is fine. The only idea I have is to download from Apple site the combo update (the bigger update), and re-run it. This often solves issues.
As about BC, can you see that partition in Disk Utility? If yes, open Finder preferences, do setttings look like here?

Hi I also have this problem. Sound was only working on the headphones and also on the volume slider in the settings app. Everywhere else I get no sound and no volume slider. Now the headphones don't work either.
(I'm using an ipad 2 iOS 6.1.2)
And NO it's not muted. I've reset all settings and restarted the iPad. Been searching forums for a couple days. Some say its a dirty docking port problem, others suggest a Skype or other app update that could be the problem.
No volume control icon appears when I press the volume control buttons. Only says sound effects, if it says anything at all. Most often there is NO volume icon. YouTube, video, music, and other game apps, no sound.

Poor sound after updating to ISO 7. Before updating i had terrific sound both on my music and videos I recorded with my cam, i had to turn it down. Now, after update, i put volym on Max and can hardly hear the music or whatever. Anyone else with same problem?

I also loved my iphone because it HAD great sound. Since the update of the iso7 for my iphone 4s, i am missing my calls because I cannot hear the phone ringing. - Go to Settings->General
- Change the function of the slider on the side of the ipad from 'rotation lock' to 'sound off'
- Wiggle the slider up and down
- Sound is restored
- You can set the slider back to rotation lock again

Distorted sound after updating from iTunes 10.4 to 10.5 in Win XP SP3

After the latest Apple update,I have istorted sound after updating from iTunes 10.4 to 10.5 in Win XP SP3.
But it plays normally sounds coming from my connected iPod or any internet radio station !!
If I add any song to a playlist, it turns out to be just noise!
Any clue ?

This message, and threads like yours got asked daily for over two years, now it is only a couple times a week!!
Is it so hard to follow through? you were to have backup already, clones are best, then erase/format and restore.
Then partition.
Some have been able to use Disk Utility booted from OS X DVD or another drive, and repair the drive.
You have to use Boot Camp Assistant (99.9% anyway) to create and achieve a proper Windows Master Boot Record partition.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
That's because the Boot Camp volume was created, but your Mac hasn't been set up to start automatically from the Windows disc. Insert the Windows DVD and press C key while your Mac is starting to start Windows installation.
If you want to make sure that everything is correct, open Boot Camp Assistant and choose the option to remove Windows 7. Then, open that application again, select the option to install Windows 7 and you will be able to install Windows as usual

Reboot your Mac, as soon as you hear the chime press the option/alt key and hold it until the boot manager appears, select OSX to boot from.

Problem with sound after update

After update to 11.3 I have no bass sound in subwoofer in Firefox browser (youtube). I uninstall the newest version and install previous (11.2) and bass plays ok.
My os: Windows 7 x64. Sound card Creative X-fi.

My problem is summed up in this topic.
Updated Flash Player with 11.3 this morning (june 12th 2012) and since then my 7.1 Sound System works only 2.1. If i enable EAX Effects, works on 7.1 but since it`s just a room it sounds very odd.
I have no problem with sound on HTML 5 websites for that matter, Winamp, Video Players, games.
Uninstalled Flash Player, sounds work ok without it on different browsers, other than Chrome (since it has FP built in).
I hope for a sollution soon.

Untill there is a permanent solution, i found a way to deal with my issue and i hope it will help others.
I personally use Chrome and this is for this browser:
1. Type "about:plugins" w/o the quotation in the navigation bar.
2. On the upper right u will see "Details" click it then find the word "flash", and you will see something like this:
Flash (3 files) - Version: 11,3,300,257
Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300
Name: Shockwave Flash
Description: Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300
Version: 11,3,300,257
3. I say again, this worked for me on Chrome. The 3 files i have, two of them are Version 11,3,300,257 and one is 11.2.31.144
4. Simply disable the lates version 11.3 and enable the previous version 11.2

After updating I lost sound. Tried restoring and still no sound. Guess I'll have to get a new phone...any other suggestions?

After updating my iphone 4 to iOS 5, Whenever i get a msg or a notification, the tri-tone message sound is played about 3 times. Am i the only one?

If you mean that the tri-tone sound is repeated with intervals of two minutes: When you go to Settings -> Notifications -> Messages, near the bottom you can choose how often a message alert must be repeated. This can be set to never.

I have updated IDT High Definitio Audio Codec several days ago
after i reboot my notebook, I couldn't hear my windows sound anymore
than i reboot till 2 times, n the windows sounds was heard again
However, after I turn it on the next day, i found that i have no windows sounds again
but i can play media players, such as winamp, n could hear msn sound
After i reboot my PC, the sound was heard. But after turning it on for the 2nd times, i couldn't hear the windows sound again!!!
Help me please

Download correct audio driver.
How to find it on HP sites?
1. Click on Support & Drivers link. (Upper part of this page.)
2. Choose option: Download drivers and software (and firmware)
3. In form:
Enter a product name / number
For product provide Your p/n. (How to find correct p/n informations here.)
4. Click on Go and choose system which You are using now.
Disconnect from Internet.
Uninstall from Your system IDT audio drivers.

On boot press ' F8 ' and choose ' Safe mode '.
Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Audio, Video and Games Controllers

Install this driver which You downloaded.

Be sure to try all of these steps if you do not hear sound from your iPhone speakers:
If you do not hear sound from the built in speaker, try these steps:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
