Have no sound on my iPad and it will not allow me to play video clips.

Try this:
1. Close all inactive apps. Double-click the Home button and hold apps in the Task Bar down until they all wiggle then tap the minus sign to close apps. Tap the home button to return to Home screen.
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

When you run the uninstaller, it will uninstall all Flash Player versions.
If you want to revert to an older version after that, get it from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

You definitely need to resurrect the old password associated with the Apple ID you used to purchase the music.

An email will be sent to the email address associated with that account with instructions regarding resetting that Apple ID's password.
If you no longer have access to that email, the resolution to this problem becomes considerably more difficult. In that event you would need to contact iTunes Support and explain your dilemma.

When I try to play youtube video I get the message of blocked plug-in, and I can not play video using Safari. (Youtube works fine with google chrome) I tried installing flash player HTML5 etc... but still no difference.

If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
Try uninstalling the currently installled Flash plugin (required for most YouTube content) then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches

Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290 Can not play Video taken with ...

It is quite amazing that software by Nokia can not replay Video taken with phone by Nokia.
VLC player plays the video OK so the video (MP4) looks to be all right.
All thet Ovi says is that the video can not play. Format may not be supported .

I have the same problem, in that I can't get my video's recorded on the phone to play. If I try to double-click and play within Ovi Suite it crashes Ovi Suite, if I open Windows Media Player and try and run it then WMP crashes too (is Ovi Suite using WMO under the skin?) and the best I can get is when I try it with QuickTime I get sound from it but just black screen for the video.
So yes, I suspect it's a problem on my PC but can anyone give ideas on how to fix it?

Videos from all three sites play fine for me (except the ones from tfl.fr that are only available if you are in France), so something is not quite right with your system. However bear in mind that some of them take a while to load.
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them) to enable Java.
Lastly, repair permissions and restart your Mac.

Either launch VLC (assuming you have installed it) and then open the file you want to view from within VLC, or, select the file (don't open) you want to view and do Command+I and from the window that appears select VLC from the 'Open with:' option.
You can make this the default if you wish by also clicking on the 'change all' button.

HT1386 music is light gray and can not play

It sounds like the affected songs work fine on your computer but will not play back on your phone at all.
I have a few recommendations here. First, close the Music app, and all other running apps on the phone.
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

I have updated my iphone 4s to iso 6 operating system. I am not happy this this new operating system. Anyway, i have a problem playing videos in background after the update.. I was able to play youtube music in background with iso 5.1 but not with iso 6..

Suddenly no sound (and can't play)

I recently started working in iMovie for the first time, and have had success in creating several movies - one, mainly a montage of photos with an audio track imported from an mp3. Today, for some reason I opened iMovie to start a new project, and am having the following issues:
when I play from the "event" field down below (where all imported clips show up), it has no sound. When I play from the editing field, I get no sound AND no video (though it appears to be playing).
The only project I can get sound on is the montage with photos where I added the audio separately.
did I do something to the settings somewhere to disable the audio? Why can't I see video of my work-in-progress??

I'm really hoping someone can help me. I have an Apple iPod 2g 16gb.
I am having real problems with the sound not working when I upgrade the firmware. If I update to the new 4.1, the internal speaker stops working completely and that's not all...
If I try to play a song, it basically loads the PLAYING screen (with the two arrows and PLAY button in the middle at the bottom) then appears to immediately stop the song and go back to the track list screen.
Also... whenever I try playing any videos on the youtube app, it keeps saying video cannot be played...
Now, if I downgrade to Firmware version 2.1.1 sounds works, videos work and music plays!
I have tried all the Restore option and Reset all settings solution and nothing seems to work. I have been researching like mad on the Internet and have found a couple of posts with similar problesm so I know it isn't just me but does anyone have any ideas at all because, had I any, I'd have ripped all my hair out by now!!!

If it works fine with the older FW, I would leave it alone. iOS 4.1 has its share of problems. Battery life is one big issue.

Apple TV plays sound, but does not play video on AirPlay

Hello,
I'm having a strange malfunction with my Apple TV (latest model) and my iPad 2. I have updated both to the latest software.
When playing a video I purchased through iTunes on the iPad 2, if I select the Apple TV via AirPlay, then only sound plays on the Apple TV.
Now, if I attempt to replicate this problem with my iPad 3, there is no problem at all: the video and audio plays without issue.
The network is an AirPort Extreme (extended with an Express)
I've reset the Apple TV, the iPad. Nothing seems to work, anyone have this problem?
Would appreciate any advice!

I am having the same probalem. It's very strange. My ipad will stream videos purchased from Itunes to the apple tv. However, when we try to use my wife's, only the sound comes up. Both apple tv and ipad are fully update and have been restarted. it's bizarre.

Just upgraded to 7.6.2 and can't play video!

I just upgraded to iTunes 7.6.2 (I was told I had to do so in order to play a recently downloaded TV show) and now NONE of my videos will play. All that shows is a gray screen. It still plays through the length of the video (for example, it plays a gray screen for 21 minutes for a TV show). I haven't had a problem playing any of these videos in the past. I've tried restarting my computer and checking for more iTunes updates, but nothing seems to work. Help??
