No sound and meters do not move with the new Motu Traveler

I recorded four channel of audio with the built in sound on my power book G4 1.6 until I got a Motu Traveler fire wire audio interface. I got to preference/Audio in Logic and switch to Motu. Then when I play the song, there is no sound and the channel meters do not move. I have Logic Pro 7 version 1.0.1. I updated the OSX Tiger to 10.4.2 and the Motu fire wire to 1.2.5.2.
I can here audio throe head phones on the Motu if I plug a mic in to it but it will not show up in Logic.
Yes the fire wire cable is connected. It reacts to logic start up (click,click etc,.)
What am I doing wrong.
I'm an ex Cubase user whom switched to Logic and thought it would be easy.

I dont use logic but I have had some similar audio routing issues with my mac and my traveler. if you can hear audio out your phones see if the default stereo output for the traveler is set to phones, that could cause this problem. click on the motu fire wire icon (not the cue mix dsp) and make sure you default outs are set to whatever you have speakers plugged in, also go into your audio midi set up for OSX and make sure every thing is for the traveler to be the default output. you might have to re-launch logic to make it see the changes, not sure though i dont use it.

Menu Bar - Sound Volume icon does not move with the press of the F key

So I normally press the F keys to control the Sound Volume, right, just like everyone else does -
but the Sound Volume icon in the Menu Bar at the top right does not respond to the F key at all!
Isn't it supposed to react simultaneous with the press of the F key?
I have to actually use my mouse click to make that volume go up and down.
The actual volume does work with the F key, it goes up and down.
But to make the 2 work in sync, I have to point the mouse to the one at the Menu Bar, fiddle with it, and then I can use the F key and both work together at the same time.
If I haven't touched the Menu Bar one for a while and I only use the F key, the Menu Bar one doesn't move at all.
It's weird. Any ideas?

I see what Al is seeing. Normally I just use one method or the other. The Volume Adjustment keys provide visual feedback, so it's unnecessary to check the menu extra, i.e. the Volume menu bar icon, to see the same feedback.
The slight delay in the reaction of the Volume menu extra, when open and while adjusting the volume with the Volume keys is normal.
They're independent methods for adjusting the Volume setting. The Volume menu extra takes a moment to refresh when the slider is displayed and you're changing the setting via the Volume keys.

It's probably really easy to figure this out and uninstall the updates but, well, I'm slightly tech-illiterate! I use my Norton Toolbar a lot for those sites I visit infrequently, and this non-compatibility issue is the same reason I stick with Mozilla over Chrome, but now I can't even use my Norton information with Mozilla. Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

I've finally managed to update my old projects to iMovie 10.0 but the sound does not sync.

Then another message pops ups and asked for rebuilding the Thumbnails. So I clicked rebuild. Next it asked me to do one of three things(I can't remember all of them) so I chose the last one which is to download a photo to iPhoto. Now I only have that photo I downloaded in iPhoto file but not the rest of my pictures. The iPhoto library which is stored in my EHD shows it has 349GB but it only show one thumbnail of the last picture I downloaded after the rebuild process. What can I do to recover the rest of the file?

My iWork (pages and keynote) are not communicating with the iCloud. I haven't changed anything and all of the sudden there is no sync happening. My iCloud account is fine as i can create documents on my iPad and they appear on iCloud.

However, when i change documents on my mac (documents that are supposed to be in the iCloud), the changes do not sync with my other devices nor with iCloud. Even when i create new documents on my mac and save them to iCloud, all seems okay and i can access them from my mac, however they do not show up in the iCloud and i can't access them with my other devices.

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
