No Sound and YTube videos are not playing - Says Error in loading

I have recently been experiencing a lot of problems on my pc. The main one is that the fan appears to be failing, as it is making a long continual noise.
I now appear to have lost the sound. I am not sure what is causing this, but have run through all the tests on your guides etc. Not sure if a system restore to an earlier date caused this or is required.
My product numebr is WF649PA#ABG
Model - DV6-2120 TX
Many thanks,

Hi happygirl2
I think you could try cleaning out air vents, cleaning the system with antivirus software as waqar_kamboh posted.
This is your product specs I suppose: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02033034&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
Here is your product service manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01860375.pdf
Read through it know how to remove back cover of your laptop containing 7 air vents for air flow & clean it with dry clean smooth cloth/cotton. Clean the side air vents & wipe off any dust or dirt off any. Follow strict electro static protected state before opening the back cover as given in the manual.
Download and save all the latest drivers INCLUDING BIOS/FIRMWARE for your system by entering the Operating System installed onto your system from the following link. Install everything at the end & restart.: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?swlinkmsg=100&cc=us&dlc=en&docname=bph07165&lc=e...
Also I advice you to do a hard reset to remove all electric potentials in the capacitors inside the system too.
Hope this helps.

    Hi,
Try a clean installation of the flash plugin/activeX as follows.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.
If the above doesn't correct the issue, then try the following.
First of all, download and run the Shockwave uninstaller on the link below.
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/shockwave/uninstall/win/sw_uninstaller.exe
After this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, download and install the latest version of Shockwave on the following link.
    http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
Again, after this installation, restart the notebook.
    Regards,
    DP-K

  • My songs and videos are not playing.

    Hello,
My songs and videos are not playing in the iPod. If i play music on online in iPod, it works. So, please reply me as soon as possible.
    Thank You,
    Krishna Patel

I have had similar problems in the past, but not with so many songs...  If you got them on the iTunes store, and there aren't so many, just re-download them, this happens to be sometimes.  I'm guessing that there was some error during the download.  sorry.

  • Youtube videos are not playing back

Youtube videos are not playing back in Safari 5.1.7. I've also checked this in Firefox 16.0.2.
    I am running OS 10.6.8.
Why is this happening? I need this capabilitiy for my work efforts.
    Thanks (in advance)!

I'm having similar problems to you all.  Chrome and Firefox will play YT videos back perfectly.  But for some reason certain users' entire channels that were working fine in Safari on Thhursday 1st Nov 2012 had stopped working by the next day!  After upgrading Flash and resetting the cache etc it was a bit better but still some not working.  I then downloaded the 6.0.2 update (again after a bit of aggro as some error message kept popping up, then after a while it worked ok).  Now still some videos refuse to play in Safari.  Latest FF browser seems OK and not too slow.  I have always liked Safari though and am a bit annoyed that I've had to to make FF my default as it's a bit ugly.  It may be a YT problem rather than Apple.  Once upon a time in the hazy crazy days of Tiger and Leopard I had no Apple problems.  Now lots of very minor but basic issues keep popping up!

videos are not playing in my new ipad air. What to do??

    Hi HariTej,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
93tid & jimmyireland's suggestions are one of the options you may consider. However, we'd like to further check on this to determine the cause & other possible resolutions available. Can you further elaborate on your concern? What's the exact error message? How are you accessing YouTube? Is it via your phone browser or a 3rd party app? Can you access the internet? Which connection are you using?

  • I updated to IOS 7 on my Ipad 2 and now videos will not play, they freeze and skip and will not play.

I updated to IOS 7 on my Ipad 2 and now videos will not play, they freeze and skip and will not play.  Can anyone help?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • I purchased a film on iTunes and sync to Apple TV (1) and the film will not play say not authorised please help?

I purchased a film on iTunes and sync to Apple TV (1) and the film will not play say not authorised please help?

This problem seems to have started around October 28, it appears to affect content purchased only on other devices but played on the Apple TV 1.
There have been other workarounds suggested from time to time, but I have found the simplest solution is to purchase something on the Apple TV 1 directly (There may be free content in some locations and this appears to work just as well).
Once the content has been purchased, it will not only play as normal, but will also allow all other content purchased on other devices after October 28 to play as well.
Some have reported that it's necessary to restart the Apple TV before and/or after purchase, but I found it worked without.

  • TS3274 Videos are not played

My videos are not starting, movies list also not displaying, screen becomes blank

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • HTML5 Wistia and Vimeo hosted videos are not playing correctly in Firefox (Choppy, hangs on frames, jittery audio)

Hi, for some reason I can't get HTML5 videos hosted by Wistia or Vimeo to play correctly in firefox. I tried doing a fresh install of firefox, running version 35.0.1, and the videos still don't play correctly. They constantly load, videos hang on frames, and the audio gets jittery. However, if I switch to flash they do play correctly. Videos on youtube play fine. I can't figure this out. I tested the same videos with Safari, and they play correctly, which tells me there's something not right with Firefox and perhaps my system.
    I use a MacBook pro (Mid - 2010) with OS X Yosemite, 10.10.2.
    Any ideas?

Try to disable all video player extensions in your Firefox and test the site that is giving playback issues. Turn on each one until there is an obvious difference.
Some video formats/codecs may not be supported by one over the other.
Right click on the HTML5 player and select: "About HTML5"
It will tell you that youtube has automatically enrolled you in their beta testing and to opt out you click the link on the bottom to stop seeing HTML5 videos.

  • Suddenly videos are not playing in my browser at any site

i am using mozilla13 version, it's good when started. after two days it suddenly stopped plying online videos '''displaying some error on it'''
even i upgrade the version to mozilla14.0beta, its showing the same problem.
but the videos are playing fine in other browsers like chrome and IE.

hello vinay64, this is probably a problem in connection with the recent update of adobe's flash plugin (IE and chrome get supplied with a different variant of the plugin of adobe), please refer to the following article for common solutions: [[Flash 11.3 crashes or does not load in Firefox 13]]

  • Youtube videos are not playing

I'm using Firefox 13.0.1 on a Macbook. Youtube videos are coming up black, and after an add plug in screen flashes, they're telling me that the video is not available. Above, Firefox is prompting me to download missing plug ins. When I click that, it says that no suitable plug ins can be found. What's wrong?

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

  • For the past few days videos are not playing properly. They appear to load but stop and start, even though the line of thumbnails shows up at the bottom. Clicking play does nothing.

There seems to be a major problem with video playbacks both from web sites and YouTube. If I click on a video the loading circle shows it is loading but either the video starts for 2-3 seconds and stops, or it won't start at all. At the bottom of the screen there is a section that shows individual thumbnails for the video and that shows that the video has loaded, but it refuses to play. I just tried a youtube video on my iPhone and the same thing is happening. Some occasional videos seem to work okay but I have spent much time trying to watch clips.

Use SpeedTest to test the speed of your internet.  If slow, contact your ISP to confirm if the problem is on their end.
You have 2 versions of QT.  Version 7.x is inside your Utility folder.  Try that one.

The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFl ash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157  and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • Just bought an iphone5 and my itunes are not playing. They've been stuck in downloading for 4 days.

Need help playing my itunes on my new iphone 5

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

  • I recently upgraded to Flash Player 11.4x and now videos will not play in Yahoo.

I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3 and Internet Explorer 8 on an x86 pc.  Everything worked just fine until the upgrade.  Also Hulu.com free version videos don't work properly in full screen mode.  Not sure whether that is related.

    (Edited)
Hi, Jeromie, (and all the other viewers who seem to find this thread interesting)
Let me give you my latest observations:
Until today, I had not even heard of a reference to 'HTML5' videos.  (I now realize that HTML videos have been around for quite a while, I'm just not a video junkie.)  And interestingly, until today, whenever I got a blank video screen on Yahoo News or others, it would only tell me to update to the latest Flash Player and suggested nothing else.
Well, I had already upgraded to the latest version Flash Player mentioned above, but my system does not seem to recognize that fact.  Perhaps it did not load properly.  I have tried 4 times without (apparent) success.
Now also, the blank video screens mention updating to a 'HTML5 browser'.  I have Internet Explorer 8, not 9 or above, so I opted to install Google Chrome Frame per the article (which also indicates that this is a trial situation).  I rebooted and retried, but that did not work either.
I have not yet uninstalled Flash Player to rule it out as causing the HTML5 problem.
I also did not disable Hardware Acceleration in Flash per the article because nothing showed up in the box to click on.  Blank box, no icon.
I had previously tried to download an archived Flash .zip file to my desktop but could not get it to unzip and install properly (I have done this many times before on other files), so I gave up.
And, lastly, just what exactly do you mean about 'browser updates'?  Are you refering to a 'version' of Internet Explorer 8 or to other software updates?
    Sorry about that,
    VernonDale
