No sound coming through speaker. Earphones ok

I have no sound on iPad except if I use earphones. FaceTime and Skype are ok

Try to reset your device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

  • Audigy 2 ZS hard drive and CD rom sound coming through speak

Using either speakers or headphones, the spinning sounds of the hard dri've or the CD Rom are being picked up and amplified. Any way to get rid of this noise? Never had it before.
    Thanks
    Bryan

Hi, I was searching the forums for this problem. I don't think turning off the CD Audio is much of a fix. Since when you pop in a CD the CD Audio turns back on and the buzzing, clicking and dri've noises come back. The card is plugged in on pci slot 5, pretty much as far away from the dri'ves as possible. A real fix from Creative would be nice. What good is a sound card that causes distortion when trying to listen to CD's? The sound from this card is geat compared to the built-in AC 97. So how about a REAL fix? System Specs: GigaByte GA-8KNXP, Gb PC 3200, P4 3.0 Ghz, Win XP Pro, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Audigy 2 Zs, 5 Hd's, 2 in Raid 0, 2 in Raid , Boot Hd, Lite-On 8s 8X DVD/CD Recorder, AOpen DUW 608/ARR Dual Layer 6X DVD/CD Recorder(Which the Audigy 2 card dosen't reconize), Thermaltake 460 watt Silent Pure Power PS, LogiTech Z-640 5. speakers Thanks, BornAgainPagan

  • How can I play music on my macbook pro (OSX Lion) through a Pioneer receiver. I've connected them with a mini display port to HDMI cable with audio support bought at the Apple Store, but there's no sound coming through. thanks

How can I play music on my macbook pro (OSX Lion) through a Pioneer receiver? I've connected them with a mini display port to HDMI cable with audio support bought at the Apple Store, but there's no sound coming through. There are 4 HDMI-in ports on the receiver - BD, DVD, DVR/BDR and audio. In my system preferences for sound, the receiver doesn't show up as an output option. Can anyone please advise. (ps, this is my first time posting a question, so I hope I can find your answers!) thanks, JP downunder

For sound, try the audio output port and connecting to the RCA  audio input ports on your Pioneer receiver.  Use something like this:

  • Morese Code sound coming through my external speakers

Recently I've been getting Morse Code sounds coming through my external speakers. It's not all the time but at least 2-3 time a day. Any idea?

If I have my cel phone near my iMac, every now and then I get a sound that could be described as Morse code like. It has no lasting effects, so I don't worry much about it.

  • Any way at all to STOP sounds coming through bluetooth?

Whoever designed this should be strung up...
Is there any way to STOP sounds coming through my bluetooth headset? It is so incredibly distracting when I'm on a call and the stupid calendar goes off, I hear an email come in, a text message, etc.
I have an iPhone 4 and Plantronics Voyager Pro.
I know one way is to turn on the mute switch on my iPhone, but I don't want to do that like 8 million times a day.
I'd simply like to NOT hear everything ringing in my ear when I'm trying to have a simple conversation.
    Anyone?

I'm assuming you have an A2DP compatible headset. If so, see if you can disable A2DP on the headset. You can do so on the Jawbone Icon, not sure about others.
To my knowledge, there is no way to disable A2DP on the iphone itself.

  • Sound coming through headphones not T7700 speakers

I recently bought the T7700 speakers for my Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro and have been experiencing alot of problems trying to get them to work. All connections are correct, however there is no sound coming out of my left speaker, but all others are fine. I discovered when i plugged my headphones into the jack on the external hub that i could hear the sound coming out of there. I've tried uninstall all drivers and reinstalling but to no effect. Any suggestions?

    Hey,
For the other person being able to hear you echo, during a Skype call. I have included the link 'Solutions to Your Skype Echo Problem'. This link will take you through different steps of try to cancel the echo. You can also try the steps in the video 'How to fix Skype echo problems and improve call quality'. Most of the steps here a duplicates of the previous link.
The last step that I would suggest is looking into the Call Echo at Skype.com/support. This site has a lot of troubleshooting information that you can try.

  • System sounds coming from speaker

I've got Output set to Line Out in System Preferences, and indeed if I play music or whatever it comes out through the earphones I have plugged in there. But system sounds, like the "Sent message" sound from Microsoft Outlook, comes out of the speaker at the front of the machine. How come?!?

You might want to ask Microsoft seeing as they wrote the code.

  • My Ipod touch no sound coming through headphones ...only slight crackling of the song in left ear bud ...Ive tried other head phones it was working fine yesterday

my Ipod touch isnt playing the music through my headphones... only a slight crackling noise with faint music comes trough the left earbud ...Ive tried other headphones still not working ...It was fine yesterday it wasnt dropped nor did it get wet.it also doesnt have any sound coming out of the internal speaker when the headphones are removed.can it be fixed?

To rule out a software problem try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then it is likely that the headphone jack is defective.

  • Unwanted sound coming through after export

After completing two projects in imovie '09 I exported the projects via the export option. Upon playing the exported projects sound from the actual video comes through even though it was muted in the original iMovie project. When I play the project in iMovie it plays fine and there is no original audio coming through but as soon as I export it, the audio comes through. I have tried to export it and save it as .mov, mpeg, you name it but no matter what I do the original audio always comes through after export. Is anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions? HELP!

Thanks for the reply. The point at which the audio comes through is a clip that I have sped up; however, once the audio comes through during that clip it continues to come through on the following clips that are regular (not sped up or slowed down.) Do you think that because the clip is altered in that manner that it is corrupting the clip through export? Thanks

  • Skype sound coming through speakers not headphones

Recently i got my hard drive changed, and since then skype sounds have not been coming through my headphones. people can hear me i just cant hear them as well. Its annoying since everything was working before. And the sound of youtube videos comes through fine.
so im not sure what it is.
    Anyone help? Thanks

This is really a horrible bug, because it inappropriately routes sound through the speakers that isn't even related to Skype. For example, I am listening to a radio stream and, when I receive a Skype message, that audio blasts through the speakers.
I can't imagine why Skype would design its software this way on purpose, nor why I would be required to change ANY setting in Skype to fix something that Skype broke.

  • No sound coming through speakers

I have a HP Pavillion DV6 earlier and today an Insyde Flash window popped up, I didn't know what it was and didn't trust it so I closed it, a few seconds later a CMD window opened and closed then the sound on the video I was watching starting stutering and stopped so I went on another video and the same thing happened and there was no sound on spotify so I rebooted. When I turned my laptop it was all normal so I went back on spotify and noticed a message at the top that says "There is a problem with your sound card. Spotify can't play music." and still no other windows will produce any sounds, I then realized I can get sound on things like youtube or games through my earphones, except spotify won't play any music and still produced the same message, I'm currently doing a system scan and updating 11 things that were waiting for me, none of which seemed to have been from Insyde. I'm really stuck with this and hoping someone here will help me out.

    Hi:
    Please try the following...
First perform a hard reset of the notebook and if the audio doesn't return afterward, then try reinstalling the audio driver.
Hard reset instructions at the link below.

If you are still without audio, go into the BIOS and set the defaults, save and exit.

  • Sound coming through speakers

    Hi all,
I just got a PC with Windows 7, home 64bit and have added CIT200 to it. All works well with one exception, the sound comes through the speakers instead of through the phone. The phone seems to work but what can I do to make the sound come through the earpiece?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
    Phil

Are you sure you have installed the software and drivers.
USB devices such as what you describe often need drivers or software for Windows to recognize it, and the features they have - i.e sending sound to headset at the push of a button.
It's common in the OS installs to forget such things, so I'd like you to rule this out first.
I guess the driver for the CIT200 is not compatible with Windows7..So try to run the setup in a WindowsXP compatibility mode.

    Howdy JJGO11,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I gather, you have an iPhone 6 that has a low or muffled sound from the EarPods, and the EarPods work fine with another device. The article linked below provides a lot of great information and troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve the issue.
