    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I gather, you have an iPhone 6 that has a low or muffled sound from the EarPods, and the EarPods work fine with another device. The article linked below provides a lot of great information and troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve the issue.

  • Sound coming through headphones not T7700 speakers

I recently bought the T7700 speakers for my Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro and have been experiencing alot of problems trying to get them to work. All connections are correct, however there is no sound coming out of my left speaker, but all others are fine. I discovered when i plugged my headphones into the jack on the external hub that i could hear the sound coming out of there. I've tried uninstall all drivers and reinstalling but to no effect. Any suggestions?

    Hey,
For the other person being able to hear you echo, during a Skype call. I have included the link 'Solutions to Your Skype Echo Problem'. This link will take you through different steps of try to cancel the echo. You can also try the steps in the video 'How to fix Skype echo problems and improve call quality'. Most of the steps here a duplicates of the previous link.
The last step that I would suggest is looking into the Call Echo at Skype.com/support. This site has a lot of troubleshooting information that you can try.

  • My Ipod touch no sound coming through headphones ...only slight crackling of the song in left ear bud ...Ive tried other head phones it was working fine yesterday

my Ipod touch isnt playing the music through my headphones... only a slight crackling noise with faint music comes trough the left earbud ...Ive tried other headphones still not working ...It was fine yesterday it wasnt dropped nor did it get wet.it also doesnt have any sound coming out of the internal speaker when the headphones are removed.can it be fixed?

To rule out a software problem try the following:
    - A reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then it is likely that the headphone jack is defective.

  • No sound output thru headphones of midi-controller keyboard

    Hi,
I'm new to Logic and am encountering the most basic of problems: I can't hear any sound from my headphones of the midi instruments played with my keyboard controller. I ran several searches in the Logic Discussions archives, but didn't find anything about this particular scenario...
My keyboard controller is connected with a USB input, and the drivers have been properly installed. I cued up a new project, set my audio preferences for headphones out, checked those settings via i-Tunes, then selected a software piano and laid down a track whose volume and notes are both registering fine. Everything looks like its working great -- I just can't hear the signal.
With this same set-up of my keyboard controller, I opened up Ableton Live and played a software piano instrument there, only this time I could hear everything fine.
I flipped through the midi sections in the User's Manual and carefully the scanned the Logic interface for something to toggle that I may be missing, but so far no luck.
Please tell me what I'm not doing! I know it's gotta be super basic...
    Many thanks....

Weird.... After typing my question above, I did 2 things: I toggled the parameter on my controller for controller-only mode (to mute its synth output signal) and I tried using a damper pedal on my controller, with mixed results, after which I shut it down and fired it back up again, only to find that I had lost the output signal coming from my audio interface headphones jack. When I transfered my headphones back to the original headphones jack on my computer, I heard a signal...after resetting my Midi drivers from the now non-working audio interface to the synth/controller.
I guess my question at this point is, as a newbie to MIDI, how finnicky is MIDI? Does it require more intuitive and careful fiddling than I'm accustomed to in just keeping my computer running from day to day?
    Confused....

  • Sound coming from headphone jack becomes heavily distorted at the slightest movement of the headphone cable.

I use headphones almost exclusively of my Macbook Pro (Early 2011, way out of warranty) so this has really been annoying me. For about 1-2 weeks now whenever the wire from the headphones I have plugged in to the jack moves, even slightly, the sound coming from the left side disappears almost entirely while the sound from the right side becomes quiet and filled with static. Strangely, it doesn't appear to happen with everything that I'm doing on my computer. For example when playing games the sound seems to work just fine for the most part, but playing music or watching Netflix causes issues whenever the cord moves, which is really annoying.
To get it to stop, I have to move wiggle the plug around in the jack and slowly move the cord into a place where it will not be affected by movement very easily. I read that some people have been able to get around this by buying an external sound card and using the headphone jack on there, but I'd rather not do that if possible as there isn't really anywhere that I can put it without most likely picking up some interference. Plus I only have two USB ports, so I have to use a powered USB hub thats about 2-3 feet away from my computer for most things. Anyone know if this is a viable solution or how much it would cost to fix at the Apple Store?

Also, I have tried restarting my computer, messing with the audio settings, and various other settings that I thought might help.

  • Saffire 6 USB interface- no sound coming through headphones on new MBA?

I tried with my old MBP, and it still works, but sound won't come through the interface and into my headphones using garageband on my new macbook air. I installed the same driver. Can anyone help me out? Using the same exact settings that work on my old pro

yes. the day i posted this it somehow magically worked after i tried messing with the audio midi app on OS X, however now it's not working again. I need to switch the format to 48000 hz for sound to come thru, but when i select that it reverts back to 44100 hertz and then i can't hear anything :/

  • We recently purchased the iphone5 (2) and are having problems with sound coming thru the earbuds when we plug them in to the iphones.  works fine with the ipad.  help please

recently purchased the iphone5 (2 of them) and are having problems with the earpods.  no sound when plugged in to the iphone.  both phones.  works with the ipad.  help please

    Hi P5052,
Welcome to the Support Communities ... and congratulations on the purchase of your iPhone 5's!
It is very unusual that neither phone is working with the new earpods.
Have you tried a different headphone just to see if the issue is with the earpods or the iPhones?
The article below will give you the basic troubleshooting steps for this issue.
Click on the link below to see more details and screenshots.
I've quoted some helpful highlights for you:
iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
    Symptoms
When someone calls, I can't hear them through the receiver or speaker phone, and I can't hear music through the speaker. I also can't be heard by someone who is calling me.
Note: iPhone has one speaker, which is adjacent to the dock connector. On iPhone 4 or later models, the speaker is to the right of the dock connector. On earlier iPhone models, the speaker is to the left of the dock connector.
    Resolution
Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.
    Hope this helps!

  • Barely Audible sound coming from headphones on Satellite L675D-S7060

    Hello,
I have a Satellite L675D-S7060 laptop and cannot get the sound to work through headphones.  The computer's speakers work fine.  When I plug headphones in (have tried two different working pairs) the computers stops playing audio through its speakers, but the audio through the headphones is barely above a whisper.  I have to have volume on max and can barely hear the audio through the headphones.  Have tried updating all the drivers but nothing seemed to work.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Ross

This may sound simplistic, but is the plug for the headphones seated all the way?  On my Qosmio, it is a bit difficult to push the headphone plug all the way into the port, and if it isn't "clicked" the last bit, the volume is quite low.

I have a pair of bose headphones but cant seem to get any sound out of it,

    Hi
Try to reinstall the both sound drivers: Realtek and nVidia which are placed on Toshiba European driver page.
Then go to control panel and there you should find the Realtek HD Audio Manager and check the settings as shown on the screenshot:

  • No sound coming through headphones, just iPad speaker????

When I plug my headphones into my iPad, I get no sound, and the music continues to play through the iPad speaker instead.  The same headphones work fine with my iPod.  Is there a setting I need to change to shut off the music from going through the iPad speaker and send it through my headphones instead?

  • Sound coming from both speakers and headphones at the same time in probook 4440s

I have a Probook 4440s with windows 8 pro(64 bit) with IDT high definition codec installed. Yesterday when i was playing some songs i noticed that the sound was coming from both headphones and speakers even when my headphones are plugeed in and my lappy was having no such problems a few hours earliers while i was watching a movie. Please help..

It may be because you have both the internal speakers and headphones enabled at the sametime on your laptop. This might just happen automatically when you plug your headphones in. You need to manage your audio devices on your laptop.
Go to Control Panel> Hardware and Sounds> Manage Audio Devices> Playback Tab (which should already be selected)
In the playback tab there should be a list of all the audio devices you are using on your computer. Right click on the one you don't want to use and click disable. This should stop the sound coming from that audio device.
Remember: You will need to enable that audio device if you want to listen to sound through it again. Your internal speakers won't work once you enable them again. This might also be the case with your headphones. You may also have to do this every time your plug in a device or once you restart your computer.
Another note: Sometimes disabled devices will not show up on the audio device list so once you disable a device it will dissappear. This is an easy fix too. Just right click on an audio device and make sure show disabled devices and show disconnected devices is checked.
    I hope this helps.
(I was using a computer with Windows XP to explain the instructions but it should be similar with your Windows Operating System. You may however have to play around a little on your computer because it may be slightly different)

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs.
