No Sound For Yahoo Games

I am new to using the Beta version of Safari for Windows. Everything is working fine so far except when I try to play some games in Yahoo there is no sound. The game loads and plays fine, but no sound. I have installed all of the plug-ins as recommended by Apple. I even downloaded DirectX, but that did not help. So far this is the only situation I have encountered where the sound does not work.
Thanks for all replies.

wow. i can't even get the java to load right in yahoo games. I have to use the click here option and that takes quite a bit of time to load. I don't know about your sound issue though sorry.

Recurring theme with the 4s losing alerts except for the phone ringing.  Most complaints seem to center on the 7.1 upgrade.  The fix is dodgy, putting in a charger, playing a you tube video then pulling out the charger and wiggling it until you get the sound back.  When you get the sound back, the volume buttons start to work again.  Alternate solutions involve cleaning the docking port with a toothbrush, running a pick over the electrodes etc.

  • Flash Player 17 Any help for Yahoo games?

    I have Flash Player 17
It is the newest version. I checked other Yahoo games and they work fine on my Win7 OS. However, on Omaha Poker, a straight beats a flush, 3 of a kind beats a straight, and a flush beats a full house! I've even had a King beat 2 pair. The funny part is, one day the flush wins, the next day the straight beats the flush!
I do, not have this problem with Texas Hold,'me poker. I checked my plug-ins, and only 1 Adobe FP is running (I know Google Chrome had problems with this, but not on my PC)
What else could cause this to happen? I usually have only 1 or 2 devices running, and no more than 1 browser window open on each, I have the same problem with just 1 device on. I have a couple add-ons running, but their speed is less than 1/2 second total. Any help?

I uninstalled by using Uninstall programs. Yes, activex for IE. By fails, I was using it to listen to wgnam.com (radio station). After installing V17 yesterday, & restarted the radio station this morning, the radio station wouldn't work, thus flash failed. After posting, I went back & installed V17 a couple more times & all of a sudden it started working!

This morning I tried to get into one of the games and got: Application Blocked because of Security Settings". I didn't set any different security settings. Then something about expired jre?? Wassup?

    Lost sounds In some games

Have you got notifications muted ? That will mute notifications (including games), so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, will still get sound.
If its an iPad Air 2 then notification mute and rotation lock are controlled via Control Centre : Turn on Mute and Orientation Lock on iPad Air 2 - Apple Support
If it's the first gen iPad Air then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via Control Centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). The function that isn't on the side switch is set via Control Centre instead : About the iPad Side Switch - Apple Support

Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. • I have no sound for text, games, music, web.

This just started 4 days ago. The phone has not been wet. The silent button is not on, the do not disturb button is off. When I press the volume buttons for ringtone, only the ringer picture shows up but the volume buttons are not showing up. When I try to rest my phone it is asking for password, I have never set one. Please help?

Try playing music on the phone, and then try turing the volume button up, if the doesn't resolve the issue, then try resetting all your settings (this will delete any wi-fi network passwords that are saved on the device.) If all else fails always try backing up and restoring the device. Follow this article if you want to try the restore option.

    Hello pg51,
I see that you are having problems with no sound from the speakers of your computer. I have a couple of suggestions that may help with this issue.
Do you get any sound from the speakers at all or is it just when using the game? If it is just the game that doesn't have sound then what game is it?
Here is a link to some troubleshooting steps for no sound. This may be helpful to you.

  • How do I get my security settings to allow access to yahoo games I have been playing for years and now can't play with this P.O.S. update 26.0 and Java update?

I recently updated my Firefox browser to version 26.0 and my Java to version 7 update 51 and now I can't access any of the Yahoo games I have played for years. I get a box that says "your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running. Also, the box has two other lines; Name: ygames_applet and Location: http://yog10.games.sp2.yahoo.com. After all this time, this browser and my Chrome browser both give me this crap when I try to log in to yahoo games.

  • Hooking up MBP to home theater receiver: Surround sound for games?

I'm looking for a way to hook up my MBP to my home theater receiver to play games in surround sound. From what I've read, it sounds like the digital optical out will only provide 5.1 sound for DVDs, not games.
I have also read about the Griffin Firewave which supposedly provides 5.1 sound from the firewire port...however, it looks like there are five separate outputs from that device (center, and both front and rear speakers), and my receiver's inputs are not arranged in this way, so I don't think this will work for my setup.
Anyone know of a way to do this successfully? It's looking like it's not possible, but wanted to see if there were any solutions I was missing. Thanks!

  • 5.1 analog sound for games with dtt2500

    Hello,
For the sound on my PC, I have the material following, illustrated by the images below: an audio sound card Crative X-Fi extreme PCI express OEM connected with my decoder Crative Desktop Home Theatre 5.1 (which manages digital Dolby but not DTS) itself connected with my 5 HP and my subwoofer.
For the sound of a DVD, no concerns, thanks to an adapter, I can connect the optical grip of my sound card with the grip AC3 SPDIF of my decoder and obtain a digital sound dolby in 5.1.
On the other hand, for the resulting sound of video games, I do not know one single which take advantage of 5.1 digital but only 5.1 analog. I know thus how to connect my sound card via the black links (rear) and green (front) in my decoder to obtain an ANALOGICAL sound in 4.1. But impossible to obtain a sound in 5.1. I do not know how to connect my exit center/subwoofer via an orange-coloured cable in my decoder, which does not possess this entrance.
As a result, not possible to obtain from the analogical sound 5.1 for the games. I thus thought of this solution, the decoder DTS-610 from Creative http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?product=49
It decodes the signal resulting from three cables (orange, black and green) or 6 "ways" to convert it in DTS on the HP. I thus connect it between my sound card and my decoder via 3 analogical cables and a yellow optical coaxial cable. BUT, as my decoder does not manage the DTS, will it still work ? Could I thus obtain an ANALOGICAL sound 5.1 coming from games instead of the sound 4.1 Or is there another solution?
    Thank you for your help

    hi davebeme,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
That Logitech x530 is meant for a Desktop Audio that support Surround 5.1 channel that has 3 ports as you mentioned (Blue, green and orange)
You will need a USB Audio Adapter like this
    http://www.usbgear.com/USBG-SOUNDX.html
Like the Diagram,  the Surround 5.1 sound effect is your Logitech device
    Hope this helps
    Cheers!

  • Sound for games doesn't work on iPad 2

Sound works on iPad 2 for everything except games. Is there some special way to get sound for games to work?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

  • My sound for games is off .how do I turn it on

I can't turn the sounds on for my I pad3 .there is no sound anyone know what to do ? Playing videos there is sound

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

Having issue of sound "dropping out" when using YouTube, games, etc.  when I restart function OK for a while, then have to reboot to resetablish sound.  Display is source of sound and shows as input OK but does not give volume control function (may have done so when operating OK)

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings
What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It doesn’t affect your data. All of your email accounts will remain intact, as well as any SMS text or iMessages.
