No sound in earphones

I have ipad but from past few months m facing a problem of no sound when i connect earphones to ipad and also when i connect to another speakers there is no sound.
I get sound in ipad when not connected to any accessories.
Please help me to solve this issue.

But this problem only occurs with audio/sound from Photoshop. Not with other applications. So I'm guessing it must have to do with Photoshop?

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Have you checked System Preferences -> Sound to see the Output when nothing is plugged in the headphone jack? Also, check if the headphone jack shows a faint read-light, which is the optical laser.

Check the Mute switch, which is on the left side of the phone above the volume buttons.

NB100 audio problem - speaker no sounds, with earphones it's ok

need help, please.
I have a brand new Toshiba nb100-10y but haven't sound - without earphones. To say my speakers not sounds.
Operating system: Winndows XP Pro SP3, device manager is ok, haven't any yellow exclamation mark. And like I said, with earphones it's ok.
I'm using factory drivers and their default settings with bios 1.90.
Have anybody any idea? (Or I need to find any service location...)

If you can use the headphones then this would mean that the sound driver is working properly.
As Im not mistaken the NB100 supports the Realtek sound card.
I think you should have got a Realtek HD sound manager in the control panel.
Check the option in Realtek HD sound manager and ensure that all controls are set to higher level.
In Audio I/O you can find the option and could test the speaker output.
PS: you can use the newest Realtek sound driver directly from the Realtek page.

Unable to get sound from earphone Jack HP G60 348 CA

I have an HP G60 348 CA, Originaly Vista , upgraded to Windows 7- 64 bit.
Even when I plug in earphones or speakers in jack sound only comes out on the notebook speakers. Is this more likely a hardware problem or a software problem. Used to work fine and then nothing.
What do you recommend?
I only see speakers and HDMI in playback devices. No other items. I used to have many things on the mixer and now I only see device column and applications column.
Also I do not see and cannot reinstall Realtek program if it has something to do with all this.

I'm sorry you're running into this audio issue. This seems like a software problem. There are a couple of things you can try.
In Playback Devices, which item listed is the Default (has the green checkmark)? Try setting Speakers as the default by selecting it and clicking the Set Default button.
You can also uninstall and reinstall the Audio driver.
1. Click the Start button
2. Type 'device'
3. Click Device Manager
3. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
4. Double-click on Realtek Audio to open Properties
5. Click the Driver tab and let me know what version number is shown there.
6. Click the Uninstall button and when prompted, Restart.
The computer will restart and Windows will detect and reinstall the missing driver on its own. Let me know the driver version number and the results of those steps when you get a chance

Cannot distinguish between left and right sounds IN EARPHONES. Please help!!

when i connect my earphone, i cannot distinguish between left and right sounds (which gives a plesant effect); both left and right sounds are same. Earlier it use to work fine. I realised about this problem when an app-3D audio illusion was was not giving proper sounds, and my ipod songs were also sounding dull. i hav removed that app, but still my ipod songs sound monotonous. I have tried using different headphones, but problem still persists. I am not sure wheather this is a hardware or software issue..PLEASE HELP!!

Send sound to earphone on boot-up

I spend a lot of time in a library and find it embarrassing when my MacBook Pro plays this loud sound on the speakers on boot-up, even when I have plugged my earphones in. Its also seems my speaker volume settings doesn't affect the volume of the speaker on boot-up. On my Windows PC, I can turn off selected sounds, such as on Windows boot-up.
Is there a way to fix this?

If you make sure to turn your volume off before you turn the computer off, then you wont have to deal with the startup sound.
Or you could download a third party application, like startupsound.prefpane

Hundrests of Mail sounds when earphones plugged in or out of iMac

Hi
When I plug my earphones in or out of my iMac I instantly get all the sound effects from Mail (from the entire day/week/period of time since I last plugged my earphones in or out) - is there any way to fix this, as it's crazy when an entire day's worth of Mail sounds come in at once.
PS: This has been happening for the last month or so...even after updating to Mountain Lion and having the HDD replaced as part of the iMac Recall Program

And I don’t see any changes when I plug the earphones in or out…unless I’m looking at the wrong place – Utilities, Audio MIDI Setup, Build-in Output?
I’ve tested the sounds by sending a few emails and the problem seems to come and go, because when I unplugged my earphones this morning, I had 4 new emails, and four sounds came in one after the other even thou the messages were a few hours old…but then as soon as I sent the test emails (with earphones in) and took them out no sounds came through.
I’m just gonna live with the issue, as none of my other sound utilities are affected.

My dv6 Pavilion, OS Windows 7 64-bit, has suddenly stopped recognising that I have earphones plugged in. I have tried many fixes suggested on the web, run several System Restores but nothing has worked. My Windows updates are current. The only recent change I have made is to reinstall my antivirus software (McAfee) as that decided to throw a wobbly last week and kept turning itself off!
When I right click on the speaker icon on the Task Bar, the Sounds box opens and SOMETIMES the Independent Dual Headphones shows up, greyed. Underneath it says unplugged and there is a downward pointing red arrow. If I right click this area, another box shows up and Test, Set as Default Device and Set as Default Communication Device are greyed (ie, I can't click on them). Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices are both checked. Disable is also shown in black ( I can click on this).
This laptop has already been back to HP repair for replacement hard drive, fans and power problems several times. I really can't afford to be without it again for another three weeks, so if anyone has any fixes that they care to share I would be very grateful! I am by no means a techno-whiz, so if anybody can suggest a solution can they please provide 'an idiot's guide, how to...' !

    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
3. Finder > Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
    Audio Devices window
   Plug in the headphone.
   Does it show up?
   Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so uncheck it.

N81 Sound Quality (Earphones)

I have being doing some test with the N81. Here are my findings;
- N81 sound output via headset is low even if max volume n full equaliser settings are set with also stereo wideing on/off & loudness.
- I tried different earphones in the N81 such as n91 earphones still sound quality low, & Sony ericsson W810i earphones sound quality abit loud due to bass in the earphones.
Is this a pure joke by Nokia or something? N95/N81/N81 8GB/N95 8GB/N76 have 3.5mm Audio Jack but the sound quality is pathetic with standard earphones.
However my Sony Ericsson K550i beats sound quality of the N81 even with its standard earphones.

So dont waste ur money on devices like dat which cant even perform good sound. For music go for either N91 or Sony Ericsson walkman phones.

TECRA A11 - low sound quality earphone to AUX

Tecra A11 provides *low sound quality* (iTunes) connecting with my hifi system *via earphone out to AUX* in. An Apple MacBook connected in the same way does much better. Any idea how could enhance the quality? Thanks in advance!

Hmmmmm...... have you tried to change sound settings, player equaliser?
Open control panel and check if there is Realtek sound manager (Realtek soundcard) and play a little bit with sound effects settings.

Sound bug earphones iphone 5

Hi, I've had my Iphone 5 for 7 days and I have a problem with the sound.
Even when the earphones aren't plugged in, the phone works as if it was plugged in, meaning I don't sound coming out of the phone when I have a conversation or music coming out.
Somebody else has had the problem?

I have 4s It looks like apple is kiding with us. Ive had this problem since Ios 6.1 and now after 3 days I ulgraded to 6.1.2 this ****** issue has returned. Again the other part will listen me if I scream HELLOOo in the first second and then everything works fine or if I wait 1 minute but none can wait that.

My classic 80 GB ipod that I bought 2 years ago now has no sound at all. Initially, it came and went and now no sound. I can see that the music is playing on the screen, but no sound comes out either on earphones or dock.
no warranty anymore and don't want to have to pay $160 to fix it. I restored the IPOD but still no sound. HELP!!!!
