No sound in PE 10 export

so I've created a video in PE 10 and added sound to it in the form of mp3. When I tried to export it though, there was no sound. It played fine in PE.
I've read through most of the other posters having this problem and tried multiple formats and multiplexings. I can't even export just the audio.
It is also not really possible to do this in audacity as the music is timed to the video and is cut up a lot already.
Is there any way to save the project?
Thanks in advance

If you cannot just Export the Audio, then something is very wrong. I would try with the MS AVI Export/Share option, and see if you can JUST select Export Audio with that one. Some Export/Share options do not allow for separate Export options, like Audio Only, but most do.
As you have read, Multiplexing is required to combine both the Audio and Video Streams. If you have changed the Multiplexing setting from "None," to something like "DVD," and still get no Audio, then something else is happening.
Going back to your Timeline, where are those MP3 files located? Are they on one of the Fixed Audio Tracks, like the Soundtrack, or the Narration Track?
Also, MP3's can create problems. In general, I will convert those to PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit, and Import and use the WAV files. As a test, I would try that with one, and test. This ARTICLE goes into more detail on problem MP3's.
Good luck,

  • Sound looping using Swiffy export to HTML5

I am facing a problem when I export my flash using Google SWIFFY to HTML5!
It wont play my sound track layer as loop anymore. only play it once when luanching the page in HTML5 and then it stops!
I changed the settings in my Flash sound properties from Start to Event , from Repeat to Loop etc. but still not a change in exported result, can you advise me how can I get this soundtrack works as loop when I export it using Swiffy? Thanks a lot.
    Ali

Just in case anyone else comes looking into this issue....
I quote the warning message after exporting a flash file:
Swiffy Flash Extension for Win v1.1.1 [Swiffy v5.2.0]
    - Warnings -
    Streaming audio is not supported.
The only solution I've found is to copy and paste the (event) sound keyframe as many times as needed along the timeline, and set repeat/loop to 1. On-the-beat replay not guaranteed.
    The swiffy documentation:
    https://www.google.com/doubleclick/studio/swiffy/gettingstarted.html
...says sound is "partially supported", and then only by Chrome,  Safari, IE9 and Opera (no sound at all in FF).
So far, testing, IE9 doesn't play loops, but maybe Chrome will (later, at home).

  • Why won't my .wav files show up in a 3rd party sound application after being exported as an omf file

Hi all, I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer, so hopefully someone out there will have mercy and help me!
I have Canon 7D footage (h.264 codec) and H4N Zoom audio (24bit 48khz .wav files) loaded into Premiere Pro CS 5. Editing on a Macbook Pro OS 10.6.8.  I haven't added timecode.
My workflow, which I've done successfully several times in the past, is to sync the footage by creating individual sequences for each take (usually interview takes) and then bring in the audio and video and manually line/sync them up.  I then link the two clips.
I then create a new sequence for my edit and then cut parts of the previously synced clips and then paste them into the sequence and edit away.  After locking I export an omf (48khz, 24 bit, files as separate audio, aiff files, with 24frame handles).  Then I import the OMF into Soundtrack Pro.
However this time, the majority of the sound clips do not show up in Soundtrack Pro timeline even though they are present in the omf folder as Aiff files.  Normally you would think this was an issue with Soundtrack Pro, however one audio file did show up in Soundtrack Pro, but it was a sound file I had not linked to a video clip.  Upon further investigation I found that that the audio clip that was not synced retained it's STE-014.wav name in the Premiere timeline.  All the other audio I had synced to video had somehow taken on the video clip's MVI 0075 name.
I checked my old projects (the ones that I successfully exported to OMF) and even when I synced the audio and video, the audio retained it's STE.wav name. I don't know why the names changed; I did a test in my current project by cutting and pasting a synced clip at the end of the edit timeline and the audio retained it's  STE.wav name.  See pic.
After further tests, if the audio retains it's STE name it shows up in Soundtrack Pro (and Soundbooth as well), if it takes on the video MVI name it doesn't.  I've tried exporting as an AAF and a Final Cut Pro XML file and it still doesn't work.  I've tried unlinking and relinking the clips as well as making the audio offline and then relinking but still nada.  I also cleaned the media cache to no avail.
If I render and replace the audio in the edit timeline, the name doesn't change, but the audio file does show up in Soundtrack Pro and Soundbooth, but unfortunately I need handles to edit the sound so this doesn't help me much.
    Any ideas?  and thanks!

Yes, it has always worked in the past.  The past projects audio clips do not change names.  I obviously did something different in this current project, but unfortunately I have no idea what.

  • Sound Artifacts in final Exported Video

First of all in my video I have multiple tracks overlapping. On track one I have my subject who is being interviewed and track two is a classical music concert. The audio of the concert comes in low and quiet and than is increased when the subject stops talking and then the audio dips back down once I've shown all I want to show of the concert but continues to play softly behind the subject talking. At different moments throughout I can here a weird twang sound that is similar to a rubber band reverberating. This has happened in several of my pieces with different footage from different sources with different codecs. These artifacts are not there when I play back my sequence in premiere but they persist to be in the same spots in my final exports. The only way i have found to get rid of them is to delete or mute one of the audio tracks all together. the Audio is 48000 Hz - 16-bit - mono and 48000 Hz - 16-bit Stereo.
Can Premiere just not handle multiple audio tracks together?
Should all of my audio be exactly the same so should i make both mono or both stereo?
Lastly how do I fix it and what can I do to prevent it from happening again in the future?

    OK, that sounds like this:

  • One Solution For No Sound for imovie on Export to ipod from QT

In converting edited imovie projects to video ipod movies, I found the video had sound only for the first edited "clip" in the timeline. I finally solved this problem by extracting the audio from the clips- then saving the project. I convert the project movie to an ipod movie by first opening the QT imovie file in the project with QT pro 7.04, then export to ipod.

    See my post.

  • ERROR ( 0 :: 42) when trying to setup sound on MPEG-4 export

I got a project with an ac3 file and a YUV 10-bit uncompressed video file that are same lenght on my comp (2;37;04).
When I try to set up the option for sound for a QT MPEG-4 export ; AE crashes with error ( 0 :: 42 )
Any clues as to why? Anyone has has that same bug ?
    Thnak you.

    Any clues as to why?
Cyclic use of the same routines for encoding and decoding at the same time, when those routines are not properly made "safe" in terms of memory management. Or something up with the audio. The smart thing to do as a start would be to convert the AC3 file to a conventional WAV, then try that again.

  • IMovie sound quality changes after export and is terrible

when i export my imovie the sound quality becomes bad and sounds like my speakers are blown but their not, it sounds perfectly fine in imovie but after its exported it changes to worse, anyone know how to fix this?

Check your audio levels. and if necessary, reduce the levels so that the audio stays under the 0 DB line. If you have audio that is yellow or red, reduce the level. This video shows an example of how to do this. Click on the video All New Audio Editing."

  • My recordings sound so different when exported to iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

Google's been useless in finding answers.
I made a couple songs. They sound perfect on Garageband. After exporting, the songs sound awfully mixed on iTunes. I mean, awful. I've tried messing with iTunes EQ, Garageband visual EQ, Garageband compression (not that I fully understand compression), the auto compression when exporting, and good ol fashioned volume control. Nothing changes for the better but it always sounds correct on Garageband and god awful otherwise.
I have a chord that plugs in from my mac to my instruments so I use good mix of both real instruments and software instruments if that makes any difference.
On a side note, the recordings only sound good on my personal headphones. Heaven forbid I use a car stereo or any sort of speakers.
If anything, what can I do to remedy this problem?
Many thanks for any help you can give.

There is a fix coming out soon for this. In the mean time go to settings and put the date forward one year. then try. once you have access then put the date back.
    hope it helps

  • Audio sounding Dull & low - After export

    Hi there,
I'm editing in Premiere Pro CS4. If you see the images below, it will tell you a bit more about the system and settings I'm using. I gave my customer a DVD and she complained about the audio. I asked her to email me the description of what she wasn't happy about, and she wrote this: 'with the audio the sound quality was lost it wasn't crisp and clear. And the base and beats were very low. Came out as very dull sound'. Now I agree with her. One of my fellow editors who uses another system produced a video, and imediately I noticed how wonderful the sound was. I could feel the base and hear more of the instruments.
My original audio peaked like this:
I asked someone what was the best level to put it at and they said let it peak at -6. So now my audio peaks like this:
After the complaint, I asked a few more people, and they said that the green level of the audio should be reaching level 6. So now my audio peaks like this:
Now I'm not sure if the above settings have fixed the problem, but at least on the computer it sounds better.
This is the version of Premiere I'm using:
This is some info about my computer:
    File properties before export:
    File properties after export:
    Project settings:
    These are my export settings:
I hope this is enough information and I appreciate any help. Let me know if you need me to gather more info.

    haha very funny.
Certainly not. :-) I've actually noticed it even before she mentioned something to me. Maybe I'm mistaken. You sound as though nothing should be wrong with my audio. Is that right? Judging from my settings.

  • Sound is lost when exporting or sending to iDVD

My project has sound in iMovie (8), but when I (a) export to Quicktime, or (b) send to iDVD, the sound is lost. I presume that some box hasn't been checked, but I've no idea what it can be

Well, I did this: I made a copy of the project, and then exported to Quicktime, and the sound was there! Then I sent the duplicated project to iDVD, and the sound was there as well!
This is not really satisfying, because I didn't discover what the original problem was - unless it's just a 'feature' of iMovie 09 that some projects need to be duplicated in this way.
(By the way, I've read that there are three check boxes in Timeline view (and that they all need to be checked), but I've no idea where they are.)

  • No sound in movie when exported from iMovie

I have made movie in imovie, exported it to garageband to add music then when i export it to idvd there is no music but there is the video sound, can you tell me what i am doing wrong!
    thank you

    Welcome to the forums, Alison.
I'm not a GarageBand user, but couldn't you export the GB audio tracks as a Quicktime file, and then import that audio track into iMovie? If it's combined in iMovie, then it should import into iDVD without a conceptual hitch.

  • Sound drop out when exporting to Quicktime movie.

One track of three sound tracks drops out after a few seconds then reappears a few seconds later when exporting to QT Movie. The project functions perfectly when printing to video. Am using QT 7.1.3 FCE HD 3

    Hi(Bonjour)!
Try to make an "audio-mixdown" of your final sequence
    in timeline.
    Michel Boissonneault
Thanks for the info. I managed to overcome the problem initially by copying onto miniDV then re-capturing and exporting the result., but Mix Down is much nicer.
However, prior to upgrading to FCE-HD, I am fairly certain I have made more complex projects with no problems. Now quite frequently I get a message suggesting I reduce the number of RT tracks, or increase the speed of my computer. Is there something in FCE HD that requires these modifications, or have I a rogue project.
Does anyone know what is the actual difference between High Medium & Low qualities with Audio & Video?
    Thanks
    Roy

  • Unwanted sound coming through after export

After completing two projects in imovie '09 I exported the projects via the export option. Upon playing the exported projects sound from the actual video comes through even though it was muted in the original iMovie project. When I play the project in iMovie it plays fine and there is no original audio coming through but as soon as I export it, the audio comes through. I have tried to export it and save it as .mov, mpeg, you name it but no matter what I do the original audio always comes through after export. Is anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions? HELP!

Thanks for the reply. The point at which the audio comes through is a clip that I have sped up; however, once the audio comes through during that clip it continues to come through on the following clips that are regular (not sped up or slowed down.) Do you think that because the clip is altered in that manner that it is corrupting the clip through export? Thanks
