No sound in right ear with Sony MDR-NC31E bundled headphones

Hi, I bought the phone with bundled noise cancelling headphones and they worked flawlessly. Since then I've applied 2 updates from Sony and when I went to use my noise cancelling headphones after not really using them (I usually prefer my Sennheisers) I have no sound in the right earbud.
If I plug it into any regular 3pin 3.5mm jack it's fine, I have sound in both channels, and plugging other headphones into the Z2 gives me proper stereo too.
Seems to be a problem when the Z2 noise cancellation software and the noise cancelling headset try to play together.
Any thoughts? It's only happened recently.

  • E71 only has sound in right ear

I am currently on my third E71 from Straight Talk wireless (Walmart) and orded from straighttalk.com. So my phone did not come with a head set or anything like that. I purchased an adapter for it and it still only has mono sound in the right ear.
I know someone has had this issue. Please tell me what adapter you bought so that I can order it.
Oh, my current adapter has three rings on it. I did another google search and the only one that comes up for the E71 has two rings on it.
    Thanks!

  • Sony MDR V-6 Headphones

Has anyone discovderd these amazing headphones? They run sold on as little as .5 watt of power. I'm unsure if Sony still makes these but B&H still have them for $60. I alwauys loved the sound of the Eytomotic ER-6 earplug phones, but at full ipod volume my tired old ears could barely hear them. I find myself not even turnning the shuffle all the way up. I still wonder is these are still made of I found a wonderful new leftover.

Unfortunately, we can't tell if the MDR-RF925R Headphones will work with an HDMI-converter box as we have not tested it. However, you can always try the connection to see if they will work.

  • Sony MDR-1RBT with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?

I've successfully paired my new Sony MDR-1RBT Bluetooth headphones with my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.  However, I can't get them to pair with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.  Are they compatible?
I held the button for 7 seconds until I heard the sound and the red/blue lights flashed.  The Galaxy Tab was discoverable but never found the headphones.  I tried restarting the tablet, restarting the headphones, etc.
Any suggestions would be appreciated - these headphones were too expensive to not work with all my devices.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I figured this out today - I realized I had to hold the power button long enough to see a red flash and then keep holding until I hear a second tone and a red/blue flashing.  The unit paired right away when I did this.  Thanks!

  • Sony MDR-1RBT headphones have crackling or pops in audio when using bluetooth on my iMac - Mountain Lion

I notice crackling noise or pops when I listen to music using my Sony MDR-1RBT bluetooth headphones with my 3.4GHz Intel Core i7 iMac running  OSX 10.8.5
I do not hear the crackling when I listen to the headphones using my MacBook Pro 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 with OSX 10.8.5
I also do not hear the crackling when using wired connection to the headphones.
So it would seem that something with the Bluetooth on the iMac is the problem. But I have no idea how to troubleshoot this further.
Does anyone have any ideas what the cause may be?
I am pretty sure that it is not interference from another device because I can connect to my MacBook Pro in the same area as my iMac with no crackling

    Hi Michael Erb1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It may also be worth resetting the NVRAM of your iMac to see if that helps with the crackling:

  • TS4559 only getting sound out of right ear, on recently downloaded i tunes account.. I phone 4

Only receiving sound out of right ear bud on a recently activated I tunes account.. I phone 4

    Hey there Stowe Away,
It sounds like your headphones that came with the phone only work on the right side. I recommend these steps from the article named:
Troubleshooting iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch accessories
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2634
    3. Disconnect and Restart
Disconnect the accessory and turn it off, if possible. Restart iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad by turning it off and then back on. When the Home screen reappears, reconnect the accessory.
    4. Isolate
Isolate the issue to the accessory, if possible. Or, if available, try to reproduce the issue with another identical or similar accessory.
    6. Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restore iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to its factory default state. You should rarely need to use this step with an accessory issue. If the issue only affects a third-party accessory, contact the manufacturer before restoring the device.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • DR-BTN200's right ear is louder and left ear part makes weird sound when the volume is high

I bought DR-BTN200 a while ago and I've been feeling that the right ear part is louder than left ear part.
Not because of my hearing; if I switched R and L around, I still hear left (original right) louder than the right (original left).
Also if I increase the volume, the left ear part makes a high pitch sound when singer/talker/instrument makes an emphasis in their voice/sound.
Is this a common problem? I didn't drop it at all or anything and I just keep the headphone in the part of bag where I am supposed to put laptop in. From outside I don't see any damage on it either.
    Any help is appreciated.

Please follow the steps here to troubleshoot the issue. If you need further assistance, please post your inquiry on Sony France Community here. Thanks!

  • Sony MDR-EX71 In-Ear Earphones good

I saw in this forum queit alot using this Sony MDR-EX7 In-Ear Earphones
but also many mention it spoil easily....
I getting a new earpiece and plan to buy this mdr ex7 to attact to my zen mirco so need some users comments.
    thanks

I've been using mine since I had the Nomad Jukebox .
And I've been recommending it to everyone since the old fourm days.
So I don't think comments that it breaks easily are true.
I've coiled it round my all players and it still sounds as good.
It's been coiled round my JB, Nomad IIc, Muvo .5G and now my Zen Micro 5G.
So it's been quite a journey for for this little Sony and I will definitely get another Sony when this one finally gives up the ghost.

  • Sony MDR 1R Headphones compatability with Lumia 92...

    Hi
Would you have used the Sony MDR 1R Headphones "wired type" with Lumia 920, using Sony supplied iPhone cable. If the phones work with headphone connection on the 920. Cheers
Mobiles sure aint what they used to be. They get better

I would not know why not, but I have neither the 920 (use a 620) nor the MDR 1R headset (use SOny earbuds or a set of MDR V700 cans which sound just fine to me

  • After working fine for several months, my iPhone 5 has started dropping bluetooth connectivity for 2 to 5 seconds at a time with my Sony MDR-1RBT headphones.  The headphones work fine with other devices.  I haven't moved to ios7 yet.  Any ideas?

After working fine for several months, my iPhone 5 has started dropping bluetooth connectivity for 2 to 5 seconds at a time with my Sony MDR-1RBT headphones.  The headphones work fine with other bluetooth devices.  I haven't moved to iOS7 yet.  Any ideas?

What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either.
