No Sound in sequence and video skips badly

Hello!
I am currently using Premiere Pro 7.0 on a BRAND NEW Gateway desktop with an i7 processor and 8G of ram. I bought this computer specifically to be able to handle editing and using media. However, I am having this aweful problem that I just can't seem to fix.
I have downloaded codecs, updated my graphic and sound drivers, etc.
The thing is, the video plays fine on my computer, sound and all. It play fine when I just double click the video to preview it before adding it to the sequence, sound and all. But once it is sequence, it skips horribly and there is no sound. I have tried converting to every file type known to man. I am at a complete loss here. Please help!

2nd, how many hard drives do you have?
My 3 hard drives are configured as...
1 - 320Gig Boot for Win7 64bit Pro and all program installs
2 - 320Gig data for Win7 swap file and video project files
When I create a project on #2 drive, the various work files follow,
so my boot drive is not used for the media cache folder and files
3 - 1Terabyte data for all video files... input & output files (*)
(*) for 4 drives, drive 3 all source files & drive 4 all output files

Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing

A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used the eSata Dock below... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers

Hello thebro90,I had the same problem.After tryed everything, uninstall, reinstall audio drivers, etc, I finally manage to solved it by updating the CPU drivers... I have a AMD Atlhon X2 4800+Never had the problem again.Best regards.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430 It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps

What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Why is Audio and Video Skipping, Pausing, FF'in in iTunes 11.0.1 (12)

I've got iTunes 11.0.1 (12) installed on my MacMini (2007, Liion 10.7.5,4GB of RAM). I use a 2TB WD MyBook to store my library. As of a week to 10 days ago, audio and video started skipping during playback. Not all tracks or vids.
I last updated iTunes on 12/19.
What do I do? Should I downgrade to the previous version? Or does someone else with a similar problem have a solution?

Looks like it was an external drive problem. Once I saw vids were skipping other video players, and file transfers from The WD drive paused and started like the videos played told me it was a hardware problem. No more Western Digital drives for me.

Player Sequence and Video Comp

I have 3 player sequences and 3 video comps. I have duplicated player sequence 3 and video comp 3. Now I have 4 player sequences and 4 video comps. The original 3 player sequences are "linked" so to speak to the 3 origianl video comps. Each player sequence has the video file inside of it that goes with the video comp. When I go into the new player sequence 4 it has video 3 inside of it. When I double click on the video it links to video comp 3 instead of video comp 4 like it should. What am I doing wrong here.

Replace the footage inside the comp. This is just how AE works.

Audio and Video skipping and jumping

WUTFDT3 getTV channel is skipping and jumping in the audio and video. It will skip and jump for about 10 to 20 seconds and then be fine for 30 seconds to a minute. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me

Your internet connection might be the problem. I am a fellow student also and my school's wireless network is always slower than the ethernet. And also, did you try to watch the TV show while it is downloading? I know it can but I suspect that might be the problem too. (so basically I don't know what is going to too) But if there is a ethernet port on your wall use the ethernet connection and watch it after it downloads completely. You also said that you purchased it twice? You don't have to do that. Email Apple and they should let you download it again for free and maybe they can give you credit for the second download. Sound is blury and video is slow

When I try to wacth my movie in iDVD the sound is slow and the video is slow i don't know what to do.

You mean in preview? This might not matter on the final product. Make sure you have plenty of free space on your startup drive, and that filevault is turned off. You might also check your camcorder to see if your movie was made with 16 bit audio (not 12 bit audio).
Try using "Save as Disk Image" and the mount and play that image with DVD Player in your applications folder. THis is the "final" encoded project, everything done but the actual burn itself.

Sound stops working and videos crash

While using Firefox, at some point the sound will stop working. For most applications, they will simply run without playing sound. If I try to load a video, on YouTube or any other player, it will try to play the video for the first 3 seconds, and then the video will crash. If I try to open any file with Windows Media Player, it will give a "your computer is low on memory" error (an assertion that Task Manager will not confirm) and refuse to play any files.
Closing Firefox then reopening it solves this issue for the next 10-90 minutes or so. Closing the Flash plugin etc. doesn't do anything.

I understand that this can be pretty frustrating when watching videos for extended periods of time. In order to troubleshoot the performance we can start with the memory warning.
Please try to watch videos in Safe Mode to make sure it is not acceleration or a malicious add on. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]

Audio and video skipping in published MP4 - in Captivate 7

I have a project that has a mix of imported Powerpoint slides and Captivate Recording slides. When I publish this project to output as MP4, the resulting video shows the opening couple of slides, then skips a couple of slides and after that intermittently skips further slides... there are 51 slides in all. The imported Powerpoint slides are the first slide in the project and the final two slides in the project... in between these are recorded slides.
I am of the opinion that the Powerpoint slides, for whatever reason, are the root of the problem, as I made a copy of this project, removed those three slides from it and the resulting MP4 output ran perfectly.
Has anyone encountered similar issues and if so, did you find the cause and solution? Any help will be gratefully accepted

Did you have the PowerPoint file saved in pptx format? If so, this would account for it. Save the file in version 97-2003 of PowerPoint, and it will work. We just encountered this issue.

Audio and Video Skips While Playing. HELP!

Whenever I play music or audio on my computer it always skips. This happens much more with music and audio. I have a Realtek HD Audio Sound Driver. I believe it is a latency issue, but am not sure. It is very annoying and slows up the experience of playing music. Please help! My specs are:
HP 2000-369WM Notebook PC
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
4.0 GB Memory
AMD E-450 APU with Radeon Graphics 1.65 GHz

You can only try to restore from the latest backup that may contain the photos.
You should be importing pics taken with iphone regularly to your computer as you would with any digital camera.

I need help getting my music and videos to have sound again.

Today I noticed that the sound (music, games and videos) was not working on my Iphone 4. I can still hear updates, phone calls, ringing, text messages etc. I have backed up the phone and restored it, but that didnt work. If I plug head phones into the phone that works. I dont understand. Does anyone have any suggestions beforeI take it an Apple store or just get a new phone.
